Casper Smart and Jennifer Lopez announced their breakup last week. I suspect that they only really broke up a week ago or so, although Jennifer’s people have been running to every outlet to claim that they were done months ago. The revelations about Casper’s extracurricular relations with two trans models didn’t help his relationship at all. After they broke up, Casper leaked to TMZ that he would never fool around with a trans individual – it was a grossly worded denial. And now Us Weekly says that Casper might even sue! O RLY?!
Casper Smart is taking a stand against rumors that he cheated on Jennifer Lopez with a transgender model named Xristina Marie. On Sunday, June 8, The Sun published a story in which Marie claims she hooked up with the choreographer/actor weeks before news of his breakup with Lopez, 44, went public.
Smart, 27, says the allegations are false. “There is no truth to any meeting or physical encounter,” he tells Us Weekly. “I am weighing my options on the appropriate action to take against Xristina Marie and/or The Sun.”
Marie is the second transgender model who claims to have been in contact with the dancer. Prior to his split from “First Love” singer Lopez, he was rumored to have exchanged racy pictures and messages with a different model, Sofie Vissa. A source told Us Weekly, however, that the stories about him and Vissa are “100 percent not true.”
Another insider stressed that the rumors were not a factor in his breakup with J.Lo. “The scandal had nothing to do with it,” the source told Us. “He insists none of that is true and she believes him.” In fact, the exes are still on very good terms.
“It has actually been an amicable process that started a few months ago. It wasn’t an easy decision,” the source said, “but they decided to stay friends.” Added another insider: “Casper still really loves Jen a lot, and she loves him. They are still close.”
Well, if he sues, that should get interesting. I get the feeling that this is just an idle threat intended to get these models to STFU. If he did sue them, something tells me Xristina and the other model would probably have a mountain of evidence to suggest that this was not just some random contact once or twice.
Meanwhile, People Mag says Casper has moved out of Jennifer’s house in LA. A source says, “He is upset about the split. He really wanted to stay with Jennifer. He loves her and her kids.” But the source says he gets to keep all the presents she gave him, including the truck she got him for his 25th birthday. But! E! News says that J.Lo isn’t giving Casper any cash on his way out – he probably could have gotten a nice check if he hadn’t sexted trans models, you know? No word on how he’s going to launch himself as a famous actor though.

This guy is worse than Clooney’s cheap tricks – I think at least they got condos out of their deals. Something tells me that “allowing leaked photos of yourself at gay parties,” “getting papped walking out of gay strip/peep shows” or “not deleting sexts with transexual models from your phone” were probably not allowed in the conditions of his contract with Lopez.

Why is there such an emphasis on the fact that they’re trans-women?
I think the sources like to say “trans” because it feeds into a subtext that Casper isn’t heterosexual and a stereotype of male dancers. It just seems transphobic to me. Trans women are women. He cheated on her with women.
Yes! This is what’s bothering me the most out of all this. Why can’t we just say he cheated with models, why does it always have to be he cheated with TRANS models? I have to say, I hate JLo period…..she’s bossy, self-centered and a pain in the butt diva, but I’m sure Casper benefited tremendously by their relationship. He was introduced into a world he never could have gained access to on his own, so she gave him a lot in the end. I think he’s fine, and if he’s transgender, so be it.
If Casper Not-So-Smart plans to sue for defamation, HE and his budget attorney (this won’t be on J-Lo’s dime) will have to prove in court that what the transgender person is saying is NOT TRUE. The burden falls on the gigolo. Another fail in the brains department.

Okay, though I am in full support of LBGT rights and though I’m happy with the strides that the various communities are making…the fact of the matter is you can’t expect for societies to change their attitudes overnight, and to be publicly linked to a transgendered person, especially in his case if he identifies with Latino machismo, is detrimental to his reputation. He can be JLo’s bitch, but he better not dare be screwing someone who used to be a man (sarcasm). This selective bias may not be right in a purely ethical sense, but it still holds sway in most societies. Of course, the writers are going to sensationalize it. The story is less salacious if she’s just a regular, natural born female jump off.
Is this really so surprising? JLo styles herself like a crossdresser’s dream, maybe that was the source of the attraction in the first place. (and yes, I know there’s a difference between cross dressing and transgendered).
If Casper is into trans woman then he has a very distinct taste for such women. Some straight men do. There’s nothing wrong with pointing out the obvious. They have different plumbing from regular women which is what (sometimes) attracts “straight” men.
