Oscar Pistorius got into a violent altercation in a bar last night, of course

wenn5960292

Oscar Pistorius’s trial is not over. The defense has rested, but there are still more proceedings and final statements, and a verdict probably won’t come down until mid-August, at the earliest. You can read an update on what’s going on with the case here. The reason I’m writing this post is because Oscar Pistorius hasn’t learned any lessons from any of this. He killed his girlfriend – then he got a new one, a 19-year-old. He still has money coming in. He’ll probably continue to be a gun nut too. And Oscar decided that the best thing for him to do last night was walk into a bar in Johannesburg.

More trouble for alleged murderer Oscar Pistorius … who found himself in the middle of a bar fight in South Africa this weekend … when a patron allegedly confronted him about his murder case. Oscar’s rep confirms the former Olympic hero was at the VIP Room in Johannesburg when he got into an altercation with another man.

There are reports that say the man got aggressive about the murder case. There are other reports that say it all started when Oscar insulted the President of South Africa.

Either way, everyone seems to agree the two men got physical … and the bar patron says he shoved Oscar backwards HARD after Pistorius poked him in the chest.

According to S.A. media outlets, Pistorius fell backwards and landed on his ass — and security rushed in before things got even crazier.

Oscar’s rep has issued a comment on the situation — saying, “The individual, according to my client, started to aggressively interrogate him on matters relating to the trial. An argument ensued during which my client asked to be left alone. Oscar soon thereafter left the club. My client regrets the decision to go to a public space and thereby inviting unwelcome attention.”

[From TMZ]

Aggressive, violent douchebag gets into a violent altercation in a bar? You don’t say. This feels like the Chris Brown stuff too – no lessons were learned for Breezy either, and so he just kept repeating the same stupidly violent patterns of behavior.

If that’s not bad enough, Pistorius also got on Twitter and began posting photos that can only be described as “bizarre.” He posted a photo of a page from the book Man’s Search for Meaning, a memoir of Victor Frankl, an Auschwitz survivor. Like, Oscar thinks what he’s going through (being on trial for killing his girlfriend) is like the Holocaust. Then he went out to a bar and got into a fight with someone. #Survivor

He scares me. If that girl were my daughter I would take her to Spain. Seriously.

  2. aims says:

It sounds like the guy at the bar dodged a bullet. Sorry that was tacky. Seriously though, Oscar is a violent man and i hope he gets locked up.

  3. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Did he really think he could go into a bar without someone saying something to him about being a murderer? Foolish.

    • kri says:

Murderous sociopaths do have it rough when they can’t even enjoy a drink in a bar. I feel so saaaad for him. Will someone please put this evil bastard away already.

    • littlestar says:

That’s what I was thinking too. Why even go to a bar in the first place?

    • Reece says:

      +3

    • Tiffany :) says:

You’d think he would have prepared for people coming up and saying things to him. He should have had a plan in place for how to deal with it….that didn’t, you know, involve putting his hands on people.

    • lunchcoma says:

Why is he even going out drinking while he’s on trial? He’s supposed to be mourning his girlfriend, according to the defense. That doesn’t go well with partying in the VIP room. I know that in real life people handle grief differently, but this is about appearances. I’d be pissed if he were my client.

    • Esmom says:

littlestar, lunchcoma, these were my first thoughts as well but then I realized he really, truly does not get it. The only kind of person who’d go out to party in a nightclub in the midst of being on trial for murdering his girlfriend is someone who always puts himself over others. And who doesn’t seem to be all that broken up by the horrific tragedy he was involved in or even concerned about keeping up the appearance that he is. He makes my skin crawl.

      • Lady Macbeth (HiddlesF) says:

I agree with all the above. Creepy bastard, I hope they jail him for life and throw the keys away!

      • littlestar says:

Definitely no comparison, but Pistorious reminds me of Bethenney Frankel in the fact that they both lack any kind of self-awareness about themselves.

  4. krastins says:

Come on guys…his anxiety got the best of him!! geeezzzz
    /s

  5. M.A.F. says:

And just like Chris Brown, girls flock to be by his side.

    • fairyvexed says:

They probably got raised by men like Pistorious. Other assholes soften up victims for more victimizers. It all works for them.

    • Amelia says:

That makes me feel so queasy, that there are people who are attracted to this kind of fuckwit and who outright excuse his behaviour.
“Oh, but he’s nice to me in private, really!”
      “But I can change him!”
“He didn’t mean it, though, it was an accident!”
Can we launch some kind of PSA to warn against this type of douche?
*Ladies and gents – if the person you are currently dating is on trial for murder . . . probably best to stay away.*

      • fairyvexed says:

The whole culture tells girls they have fix men. And some girls get raised by horrible men so they don’t know any better. It sure works great for men.

      • Lady Macbeth (HiddlesF) says:

        @fairyvexec

Exactly. Some women get raised by parents who teach them that it is their duty to fix men, even the murderers… (Oh but they will change for the right woman… First class B-S…)

    • NorthernGirl_20 says:

It makes me sick as well, I don’t understand it. I didn’t see it reported on the American News but Paul Bernardo is getting married .. just makes me sick to my stomache.

    • delorb says:

As bad as Chris Brown is, he didn’t KILL anyone. Apples and oranges.

      • Gracie says:

Delorb: Chris Brown hasn’t killed anyone YET. He’s young. He’s got lots more time to let his anger bubble over and spill out in a horrendous way. It’s almost a certainty.

  6. Chris says:

Surprised he’s out on bail even.

  7. Jaded says:

Awwwww….and I bet he cried afterwards.

  8. Rosa says:

George Zimmerman comes to mind too. Even his crackpot base disowns him now.

  9. Shmoo says:

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a round of applause and a shovel for this prize of a specimen!

  10. Sophie F. says:

Something about him gives me a strong Joran van der Sloot vibe.
He is the guy who (almost certainly) had something or everything to do with Natalee Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba in 2005. They were not able to arrest him, despite a taped confession, as the confession was deemed inadmissible evidence – or something along those lines. “Conveniently” he went on to murder another girl in Peru, exactly 5 years to the day that Natalee Holloway disappeared. For this he DID get found guilty and he’s currently rotting away in a Peruvian jail (one hopes).
Anyway, my point is – I would also be very, very concerned for Oscar Pistorius’ new girlfriend.

    • Belle Epoch says:

Didn’t van der sloot get married In jail? There’s always a woman with the wrong kind of rescue energy.

    • elo says:

His demeanor and actions remind me so much of Vandersloot. I find it odd that you can even go out to a bar while on bail for this sort of crime. Don’t they usually put an ankle monitor or something on them and keep them at home?

  11. MaiGirl says:

    Poor Little Tink-Tink.

    • Vampi says:

      OMG!! Hahahahahaha!
      Po’ little tink tink!
      You win!
      Funniest Katt Williams EVER!
      Hahahahaha!
      /BEFORE the scandal to boot!

  12. blue marie says:

The last photo with the smug look makes me want to smack him in the face with a shovel. This waste of space needs to go away.

  13. may234 says:

He’s loosing it 🙁 He is obviously has a violent streak and can’t control it, even to save himself.

    • Olenna says:

Agree. I think he has a natural mean streak which, in the past, was aggravated by steroids. Now, he’s a permanent loose cannon.

  14. miriam says:

Can’t he just be found guilty and locked away now?

The sheer gall of going out to a bar makes me feel ill. The man is barbaric and I get the nasty feeling he will end up getting away with this.

I honestly cannot remember the last time a high profile court case returned a guilty verdict.

  15. Belle Epoch says:

What’s with him throwing up during the trial? Is that guilt?

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I wouldn’t put it past him and his team of defense lawyers to use some syrup of ipecac for effect.

      • iheartjacksparrow says:

Wasn’t there a story that he was taking acting lessons before the Trial so he could act distraught and devastated?

    • eliza says:

*said in best Jon Lovitz voice* “Acting!!!”

    • may234 says:

People react differently when under stress. Some feel like going #2 others throw up. He’s about to be locked up for a long time, of course he’s scared and is throwing up.

    • Esmom says:

I think it was meant to illustrate how incredibly upset he was, poor fragile flower. Pure drama. And yes I also read that he took acting lessons. There are truly no words to describe my contempt for him.

      • may234 says:

So what if they tried to show how incredibly upset he was? The persecution was trying to show how incredibly unstable and temperamental he was. This is what trials are all about, each story presenting their case and trying to prove they are right. Pft.

  16. GeeMoney says:

He’s a looney toon. Lock him away.

  17. joy says:

If I was his new gf my mother would take off her shoe and beat me like there was no tomorrow. And I would deserve it for being stupid.

    • miriam says:

I agree with you. But I think the girls family are probably opportunistic. Either that or braindead.

  18. Skins says:

The girl who is with him now is either the biggest famewhore in the history of the world, or the stupidest girl in the history of the world. I lean towards famewhore, but maybe I’m wrong.

  19. eliza says:

Of course the “spin” would be that the other guy was at fault and quizzing him about “The Case”. Helen Keller could see that statement coming from a mile away.

Pistorious loves playing victim. Must have learned that in those acting classes he took.

  20. lunchcoma says:

If you’d asked me yesterday, I would have said Man’s Search for Meaning is a book everyone should read. But I’m guessing it’s wasted on this particular example of humanity.

  21. Christin says:

My sympathy solely goes to Reeva’s family and true friends. They have to watch this guy continue his life and play victim.

  22. lucy2 says:

It amazes me that in the middle of a MURDER trial, this idiot doesn’t know any better than to stay out of bars and off twitter. FFS, lay low! His lawyers must be steaming mad.
I feel so sorry for the victim’s family in all this.

  23. Tang says:

I wonder if this trial will ever be resolved. This has been going on for over a year now. Well over a year.

  24. Green Is Good says:

Christ, he can’t behave himself while in the midst of a goddamn MURDER TRIAL. What an arrogant, narcissistic ass. And what really disgusts me is he’s going to get away with it . He’s got the best defense money can buy.

  25. Francis says:

Poor Reeva and her family, my heart truly aches seeing her mother sit in court and have to listen to the lies from this violent man. IMO He’s a cold blooded killer.
I just hope he goes away for a very long time.

  26. capepopsie says:

He is an embarrassment to all South Africans!
He should be keeping a low, very low profile, instead he goes clubbing?
    He disgusts me.

  27. Eleonor says:

Jesse Owens was an Olympic Hero, not this a-hole.

  28. FingerBinger says:

IMO This proves Oscar Pistorius has a propensity for violence. He flies off the handle at the smallest thing. Hopefully this bar fight will factor into the judge’s decision.

  29. Nicole says:

I think you actually do a disservice to Chris Brown when you compare the two. I would never have thought such a thing is possible but even though they’re both violent toward women, there is a substantial difference between assaulting someone and murdering them.

  30. FLORC says:

    Someone help me here.

Both accounts of this fight seem to have ho heads on both sides. Also, both accounts have Oscar not being nearly as violent as I would think for the average bar fight. Can we even call this a “fight”? Argument at best unless i’m missing wher eit says there was punching and kicking. At the very least someone had their hand clenched in a fist ready to throw.

Guy is scum and he should’t have been at a club. Bad move on too many levels, but many here and the article are claiming “barfight”. Violent altercation is all it was imo.

To above comments. Vander sloot gives the same half smile Oscar does. Also, the same smirk Ted Bundy had.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I agree. It seems that a poke and a push was all that happened. I don’t like the guy at all, but this doesn’t really seem to be a “fight”, more of an “altercation”.

  31. Upshot says:

    Reminds me of OJ.

  32. straybullet says:

I’m so impressed with how many people apparently know Pistorius so well! How did he have time to ever train for the Olympics when he was busy letting so many of you know him so deeply and thoroughly.

Heck, I could just as easily ask how did you folks have time?

    • Ange says:

You smirk but I worked in his field and while I never met the guy myself plenty of people I know have known him for years and they haven’t said anything much different about his character than anyone here.

  33. Daisyduck says:

Important info from a South African!: I have been reading a book about South Africa’s mafia-style underworld and the guy who Oscar was out with at the club, featured prominently in the book. He at one stage hacked a guy to death with a butcher’s knife in a parking lot. He got off with just a fine for assault for that one through dodgy dealings.
These are the type of people Oscar hangs out with! Maybe he’s trying to find out how one goes about getting away with just a fine for murdering someone??
