Scarlett Johansson stepped out a few weeks ago with her brother – they attended a charity event in the Hamptons, and it was one of ScarJo’s few public outings since giving birth to baby Rose. What was interesting was that Scarlett seemed to be wearing a lot of rings. There was her engagement ring, of course, but some outlets noted that ScarJo seemed to be wearing some kind of wedding band. There were some mutterings about how Scarlett and Romain Dauriac had maybe gotten married quietly. And now Page Six says that it really happened!
Scarlett Johansson married French journalist Romain Dauriac in a secret ceremony just after the birth of their daughter, Rose, sources have confirmed to Page Six. While the actress, who was recently seen wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger, has remained tight-lipped about if they had married, we’re told the ceremony happened shortly after Johansson and Dauriac welcomed their first child in September.
A source tells Page Six, “Scarlett and Romain were married in a very intimate ceremony after the birth of their daughter. They kept the wedding a big secret because they both wanted privacy.”
While it had been speculated the couple would marry in Dauriac’s native Paris, the source said the wedding took place at a secret location in the US, away from the spotlight of Hollywood or Johansson’s home town of New York. It is believed they may have married in a remote and natural location, such as Colorado.
The “Lucy” star, who turned 30 last month, gave birth to daughter Rose in early September, and at the time a representative for the couple said they were seeking privacy as they do not want their baby girl to grow up in the spotlight.
The couple, who started dating in 2012, were engaged in August 2013, but she had reportedly said at the time she didn’t want to “rush” tying the knot as “being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savor.”
But in July, Page Six reported that a then-pregnant Johansson was overheard at a Hamptons dinner party saying the couple would be married “very soon.” In early October, Duriac was seen with a gold band visible on the ring finger of his left hand. And in November, rumors that they had married in secret re-emerged after the actress was seen sporting what looks like a slender wedding band on her left hand, underneath her sparkling engagement ring.
A spokesman for Johansson, who will be seen in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” next year, didn’t respond to requests for comment Sunday night.
Knowing what we know about Scarlett’s privacy obsession and her general squeamishness with talking about intimate details of her life, this probably makes a lot of sense. She would be the kind of person to do a very quiet, “intimate” wedding in the middle of nowhere with just family or something. This Page Six story is probably true. And ScarJo is probably pissed that Page Six let the cat out of the bag.

Good for Scarjo. I never hated her, so It’s a shame she says dumb things (like the Woddy Allen and Oxfam controversies), because I thought she was a decent celebrity and person.
She seems low key and hard working but he is not a very good actress, imo. She seems sometimes pretentious and not that self aware about her limited acting. That’s a thing I love with Keira Knightley – she is one of my favorite right now – she seems aware of the fact that she is not the best actress (thought I find her very watchable) . She always says it in interview and try to be better when she selects interesting projects. Whereas Scarlett think we shouldn’t call her Scarjo because actors like Cate Blanchett and Daniel Day Lewis don’t have a nickname (as if she belongs with them). Or she is waiting for Woddy Allen to write her ” citizen Kane” (she must be joking but probably not).
Still, for some reason, she never annoyed me like Shailene Woodley, Miles Teller or Kristen Stewart. But I’m also an Anne Hathaway apologist, so… XD

You know what drives me nuts? When news outlets report that a celebrity got married “in secret”. Just because they kept it quiet from the greater population does not mean it was a secret. It means they had a quiet wedding, which their family and friends knew about, and they are not surrounded by people who sell them out to the media.
There seems to be this expectation that celebrities have to announce milestone events in their lives. Obviously we like to gossip and talk about it, but we have plenty of celebrities who give us what we want. Just because some don’t doesn’t mean it’s a secret.
So much this! Not sending out a press release does not = secret wedding. It’s just normal.
