Yep…can’t get it either (but I think he’s quite of a good actor). Eva Mendes on the other hand looks always really good (yes, yell at me, I like her style) and she doesn’t annoy me as an actress. She is consistent and she is not aiming for roles that are higher than her skills (I’m side eyeing you Blake Lively). I like that she doesn’t pretend to be what she’s not. She’s cool.

Not everyone who dislikes Eva dating Ryan fels that way because of race. She’s a minimally talented “try-hard” who I find annoying. With her style and how high maintenance she comes off, they never seemed like a good match to me. They’re one of those couples that make you scratch your head, IMO. I don’t expect them to last. If he wanted to marry her then he would have already.
But….You can’t speak for all of his fans or everyone and neither can I.
