Kylie Jenner refers to herself as King Kylie on Instagram, which I’ve always assumed is part of her solidarity with Tyga’s King Gold Chains moniker. We saw Tyga’s obnoxious gold grill at the recent New York fashion week. This is not to say that all grills are distasteful, but Tyga chose the gaudiest one imaginable. Then he flashed it from the front row of the Alexander Wang show. I also get the feeling that Kylie doesn’t feel a true sense of self. She often parrots big sister Kim and also Tyga. Like it or not, young girls copy Kylie’s behavior and style choices, which is odd considering she takes cues from others.
Now Kylie’s really jumping on the gold-flashing bandwagon with a gold tooth. On Friday, Kylie posted a video of her brand new dental acquisition. This quick video clip objectifies Kylie in an almost disturbing way. The camera zeroes in on her tush, then she teases some underboob followed by the tooth and her status-symbol gold watch.
More Kylie news that’s sort of related to how Kylie parrots others. She and Kim filmed a vlog called “You’re In Bed with Kim and Kylie.” In the video, Kim says she’s completely cool with how Kylie has “dethroned” her. Kim says this:
“I love it, like, I love it. I need some time off. I mean, honey, let’s be real, you’ve got to put in a few more years before you actually dethrone me. But I give my baton to you. Who better to pass on knowledge to my baby sister, rather than a random non-family member?”

I guess Kim has a point about it being better to lose the attention-hogging krown to someone within the Klan rather than passing it back to, say, the Hiltons. And Kim’s very public statement also allows her to hold on the throne at the same time. Very sly, and very Kardashian. Kylie’s still coming for that crown though.

I physically winced when I scrolled to that picture. I am so embarrassed for them. When will she wake up and dump him? PMK has to know Kylie can do so much check better.
I cringe whenever I see her instagram/snapchat videos where she just films herself staring into the camera lens trying to look sexy. It is SO terrible.

I agree. As we’ve seen with Britney Spears and so many other teenage stars, being highly sexualized at a young age is not conducive to good mental health.
It also ends when the newest hot young thing hits the scene.

If this was a different 18yo in Hollywood then we would be looking at this very different…but come on its a Kardashian so this is pretty tame. I do feel sorry Kylie as there is no moral compass that she can go by as her parents are only interested in themselves.
I think you’re right. Many people see Caitlin Jenner as a hero, but I think she has a lot to answer for in terms of how she raised her children – not just Kylie, but all six of her children. There’s not a lot to be proud of there.
Are her other 4 kids mess up like the Kardashians? I may not know a lot about them, but I never hear or see anything really negative about them Or are you just talking about the Kardashians?
Caitlins other kids (as in his oldest) had a lot of issues also but his not famous so its not reported. Caitlin has a history of abandoning her children anyway so its no surprise really.
Neah 23 – I have never followed the Jenner/Kardashians so I am no expert but I was under the impression that Bruce wasn’t around much to raise his other four children. (I use the name Bruce because he was Bruce when his children were growing up) From What I know (an it is very little) He was only actively involved in raising Kris’ kids. And I don’t think they did a good job with any of her six.
@Neah23 – No, Caitlyn’s other 4 kids aren’t messed up like the kids she has with Kris. That’s only because the other 4 had good moms and stepdads who stepped up and raised them right. One of the most interesting things about the Diane Sawyer interview for me personally was the information that came out about what cool moms Cait’s 4 older kids had. These women both agreed that because their kids were siblings, they should be raised closely together. As a result, the 4 of them are very close. The two ex’s/mothers of Cait’s other kids also became very close to one another because they bonded over the fact that they both had children with a man who totally abandoned their kids. Kris Jenner had problems with Cait’s exes, sisters and mother, so she only encouraged Caitlyn not to be a part of her other children’s lives. Not that Caitlyn wasn’t already a sh-tty deadbeat dad anyway, though.
I think Caitlyn was such a weak presence in the lives of the children she had with Kris Jenner, and Kris is such a strong figure who has obviously had a deep impact on all of her daughters–the combination of those two factors is why their 6 children are so messed up.
I got to go with Quint from Jaws…the eyes were lifeless, black…like a doll’s eyes.

My Babcia (grandma) rocked a few gold teeth. She was from the Ukraine, during the Soviet Union. I’ll give a pass to anyone else from that generation. Otherwise, sorry, but tacky is the kindest word I’d use.
My dad had one gold tooth. Not in front, you only saw it when he laughed. But he was born in 1919, fought his way through WWII (parachuted into the beach invasion on D-Day), and also went through the Korean War. I’ll give him a pass, as well. He didn’t get the gold tooth to be cool, he got it because at the time, that was the strongest, most lasting fake tooth available.
My Nana rocked some gold teeth but that old world work was respectable and necessary, this style, if one can call it that, seem senseless and unattractive.

Who would have ever thought even a year ago that Kylie would be this talked about and would be taking Kim’s spot. Kendall, yes. But I never thought bland boring Kylie would be this big.

Makes sense in a way. Kim became famous because of her lack of real work and willingness to sell her body and soul to the highest bidder. People with actual jobs don’t do that (Kendall) even Kendall for as much as she’s in an industry that’s all about looks has to curb her family antics or all those designers would kick her to the curb.
But Kylie? Do nothing Kylie? She’s got all the free time to get as much plastic surgery and do as many porny photo shoots as needed. She’s a perfect Kim replacement. Vapid and desperate with infinite free time.
It’s the usual PR by PMK, Kylie is boring and nobody is interested in her or her pretend career but if they say “she’s anointed by Kim” often enough, someone might buy into it and the press will report it. Kim is a void but Kylie is lost in the shadow of that void and always will be.

Yes she is. It almost makes me feel guilty, finding it funny, because it isn’t. Would anyone really surprised be to wake up and read headlines that she had died or overdosed or been involved in a car accident or been beaten up? But then imagine having an older sister such as Khloe who says that by Kylie’s age, she was having sex with apparently unmemorable and much older men…..it’s so….casual. It’s really like they are very, very well-paid hookers.

I agree. I wore orthodontic braces/retainers as an adult, and I was so glad to get that hardware removed. I don’t understand why someone would choose to get metal in his mouth. If nothing else, it would interfere with his rapping.
I think saying she looks tacky is too nice. Every time I look at the Tyga guy I just want to puke. He must have the worst breath on the planet and now with her gold tooth she will have equally as bad breath. I did see the bathtub scene and it makes me want to punch her parents for throwing her away to Tyga so easily. They’re not a thing, nobody cares about them but they pump out endless stories to feed the media cycles and people think, oh they’re reporting on them so they must be a thing. They’re much like a hot air balloon, nothing inside but it puts on quite a show as it ascends.
