Meek Mill tries to beef with Drake again, says Drake has ‘two left feet’

drake1

It’s not that I didn’t want to talk about Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video last week. I did! I’ve just found that, for whatever reason, gossiping about Drake isn’t a popular pastime around here. In fact, people only seem interested in Drake when he’s beefing with someone and even then… you guys don’t seem to enjoy him all that much. So, let’s start with the video. Drake dropped this last week and it’s been a huge viral success ever since.

The song itself is good and catchy and fun. The video is great, because Drake has always maintained that he’s not some hard guy, that he’s “sensitive,” that he likes to sing, that he’s in touch with his feminine side. And now we also know that he dances by himself and he’s sort of gloriously dorky. I personally think that’s a sexy quality for any man, of any age or race. Drake seems self-assured, confident and he’s dancing like a dork in his turtleneck sweater and why not? Why would anyone want him to pretend to be someone he’s not, just for the sake of “masculinity” or “street cred” or whatever?

Thankfully, most people get it. Most people have been memeing the crap out of the video and it’s been all in good fun. Drake probably enjoys all of that, because he – like Taylor Swift, actually – keeps up with all of the social media stuff and viral/meme stuff. But of course Drake’s “enemy” (or boy-beef-victim) Meek Mill had to jump in with some words. Drake and Meek were dragging each other this summer and Drake shut down Meek Mill. HARD. Drake definitely “won” that beef.

So Meek Mill got up on stage at Power 99’s Powerhouse Philly 2015 event. Meek referenced Drake’s “Back to Back” lyric about “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?” Because Meek is with Nicki Minaj and Minaj is WAY more successful than Meek. Meek said: “I can’t understand. Was that a joke? No, I got the hottest chick in the game.” Yeah, Meek, your girlfriend is hot. And she’s the reason you have a job. Then Meek jabbed at Drake’s dancing style, saying: “You ain’t gonna have me up here looking like Drake on this motherf—king stage.” Meek also said Drake has “two left feet.” Good lord, Meek Mill is such a poseur. Bruh, you already lost. Just stay quiet.

meek, please sit down….way in the back. thanks.

  2. Kate says:

    Cringe…

I’m kind of surprised Nicki is still with him, it’s got to be embarrassing for her at a certain point. I mean it’s like the guy is TRYING to show the world what a talentless loser he is.

  3. Seraphina says:

Not sure who this guy is but he needs to zip it and sit down. Was watching reruns from SNL this weekend and they had Drake on. I was so impressed. He did so well on the set and could act. So maybe this is a case of hater from Meek or whatever his name is.

  4. daisyfly says:

How low is your self-confidence when Drake’s dancing is seen as a threat by you?

Meek Mill can’t keep his mouth shut, proving he should’ve just called himself Weak Will.

    • Wentworth Miller says:

      .

    • Wentworth Miller says:

Meek doesn’t want it from Drake, again! I swear. Meek Mill is THE silliest and saddest bitch, ever!! His label mate did an interview a few days ago, nothing disparaging was said, yet this silly little girl, Meek, went on a rant against him on Ig. Silly, silly, silly!

  5. Mimz says:

I really don’t like this guy.. he has that perpetual dumb look on his face, and when he opens his mouth i’m certain that he is indeed an idiot.
I mean, know when to shut up meek!!

    • Lama Bean says:

I get perpetually dumb but also lost in space. He always looks like a deer in headlights in photos. Just a terrible blank stare. Like a rap version of a dumb blonde.

  6. InvaderTak says:

So when does his name get changed to weak mill?

  7. The Original Mia says:

Just don’t, son. Let it go. Not really because I really want Drake and Whataburger to go off on this loser again.

  8. Bree says:

    Why is Nicki dating him???

  9. Santia says:

He really doesn’t get that the only reason people still listen to him at this point is because of Nicki.

  10. polonoscopy says:

Ummm…. I will read anything you post about Drake. I think he’s sexy and interesting and his music is hot. And my boyfriend and I are obsessed with the hotline bling video. Neither of us can say “cellphone” without dancing.

  11. Snazzy says:

i loved the dorky dancing! that and the fact that the dancers in the video had great, non stereotypical bodies

    • Pinetree13 says:

Really? They all had perfect hour glass figures. Only difference is they all had full round booties because that is what is ‘in’ now. Just another idealized form that some women will never be able to achieve without surgery. Not to mention the women were literal objects as decorations just like every music video ever. This is not progress to me.

    • Tara says:

Um big butts and boobs are typical for rap videos, especially Drake. If you don’t have the T&A you have no chance with him.

  12. snowflake says:

I guess we need to post more comments to show were interested in drake. I think he’s a bottle.

  13. Tara says:

Drake is so lame. And he does try to act like he’s hard sometimes. Shooting a music video in the hood and acting hard because he told his father he wants street cred. He really cares about that. Rapping in a Southern twang even though he is Canadian. The only reason he made it is because Lil Wayne who was the biggest rapper in the world at the time promoted him, so that gave him some credibility. If you think he’s just some lovable dork, well he only messes with the trashiest strippers on the planet because he got no girls in high school and he’s going overboard trying to make up for that.

  14. Gabriella says:

    Sit down, meek.

Drake, you can come sit next to me…

  15. Sandee says:

⬆️Drake if you’ll sit by this over 45 woman too! I just think he’s the cutest thang around! I love that southern thang he says in Hotline Bling!

  16. The Eternal Side-Eye says:

Oh boo boo, honey…no. Let it go.

Smh, 100 to 0 real quick.

  17. Rice says:

Wait, Weak Mill is still a thing???? I thought he “retired” so his sister could drop bars for him.

Whatever. My hubby has “Hotline Bling” on repeat and it’s now his ring tone.

  18. AlmondJoy says:

Poor Meek. Time to just let it go. Your pettiness and insecurities are showing.

  19. My two cents says:

I have never thought Drake was that hot or that talented. I know my opinion matters zero to him, but having said that, I don’t understand why this rapper beef is such a part of the hip hop industry. Seems like there are always two rappers trading insults that go nowhere. I guess the hype helps promote the artist.

    • FingerBinger says:

Rap beefs have been around forever. A new rapper calling out an established rapper is not new. These beefs tend to produce good songs as well like Tupac’s hit ’em up. The Meek and Drake beef is dull. They aren’t interesting enough imo.

  20. Jh says:

    Ooooh!!! Sick burn, Meek.

  21. Alex says:

Weak Mill also tried to come for Wale and say he was fired from their shared label…until Rick Ross checked his ass.
Seems like he tries to come for people way more successful than him. Have all the seats and Nicki please dump this fool or take away his internet privileges

  22. Tifygodess24 says:

The best thing about hotline bling is the memes! I seriously could watch them all day. The pepperoni, trump, Pokemon and condom ones are my favorites ha!

    • mimif says:

IKR? QQ sent them to me last week and I’m still watching them. It’s the only thing Drake is good for IMO. 😉

  23. Unmade_bed says:

Drake does seem like he gets it and the dancing is pretty authentic. Therefore, I have to wonder if the typical rap-song, bordering on circus-y booties are meant to be ironic.

  24. Amanda G says:

I don’t care for Drake’s music, but I love him as an entertainer…if that makes any sense. I think he puts on a fun show and he seems to have a great personality! He’s not trying to be someone he’s not. I can’t believe Minaj hasn’t dumped Meek yet. He is a total idiot. He needs to learn how to put his tail between his legs and slink away.

    • Tara says:

He absolutely tries to be something he’s not. His southern accent when rapping is even phony. He also does care about getting street cred. He will shoot a video in the hood trying to act hard. Man, Drake you were a Canadian child star. I can’t believe he has so many fans.

  25. eto0416 says:

More Drake! I was living for the memes and vines last week!

  26. Laura says:

More Drake coverage please! I love him so much.
