Angelina Jolie in Tom Ford at the WSJ. Magazine event: stunning or tired?

wenn23118299

OMG. Here are photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the WSJ. Magazine 2015 Innovator Awards in NYC last night. They are wearing his-and-hers Tom Ford. Is this the first time Angelina has worn Tom Ford? Maybe. Update: she’s worn Tom Ford at least once before. Even though she has about a million black dresses and gowns, I really like this one. It’s flattering, I like the velvet and the back detail and her skin looks great. She doesn’t look so tired here. But Brad still looks exhausted! Jewelry note: Angelina’s earrings are 30 CARAT Lorraine Schwartz diamonds with a “rose cut.” Do you think she borrowed those or does she own them?

Angelina was recognized by the Wall Street Journal as their “2015 Entertainment/Film Innovator.” The WSJ. Magazine just released their cover story too, but I’ll be covering the quotes and photos in a separate post because OMG. At the WSJ event, Angelina reunited with her Good Shepherd director, Robert DeNiro. They greeted each other with kisses and DeNiro actually looked pleased to see her.

During Brad and Angelina’s Q&A session two nights ago, Brad was asked about what it was like being directed by Angelina. He said, in part: “Angie and I have such history now — 10 years — we’ve been through many things . . . She doesn’t have to say anything for me to know what she’s feeling. I certainly know when she doesn’t like a take.”

    She looks good!

    • BESO says:

      Beautiful! Both of them.

    • bwwana says:

She always looks absolutely beautiful, but I still hate all the ugly tatts over her body, spoils the whole look.

    • Jib says:

Do you really think she looks great?? Look at her shoulders and her collarbones?? She is emaciated. What is going on with her?

      • mollie says:

Agreed. She is always slim but I think she looks exhausted and really gaunt right now, especially in the photos of her back and shoulders from behind. it’s worrisome.

      • Greenieweenie says:

I look like that too from behind. It’s just my build–smaller framed on top and slim overall. I think she’s always had thin limbs and been somewhat thicker through the body (short waist, big boobs).

      • Cat says:

I am 5’6″ 117, and my back and shoulders look like that too, and I’m far from evacuated. Some people are just built that way.

      • Jib says:

Go look at pics of her in Mr, and Mrs. smith. She looked like she was 20 pounds heavier and she looked fabulous! Her face was gorgeous as was her body, skin and hair.

      • Carmen says:

Go look at photos of her from Cannes in 2007. She was just as thin then as she is now.

    • Malak says:

      Yes, tired but stunning.

    • Malak says:

Yes, tired but stunning. Beautiful dress.

  2. Don't kill me I'm French says:

For Angie ,all I can say is that it is black .
Brad did something on his face and now he looks like a Kennedy brother

    • Tate says:

Ok, glad I am not the only one that noticed Brad’s face. I had took look twice before I realized it was him.

      • Lauren II says:

Both Angie and Brad look tweaked. Angie looks sickly and emaciated. Brad looks like a rubbery Malibu Ken doll.
Do not understand the worshipping attitude towards this couple. They are just people.
I will go hide in an underground bunker now.

      • Tate says:

@Lauren I tried to respond to you but it did not make it through moderation. I don’t get the fan worship either. They are just people. The over the the top gushing over these two always puzzled me.

Ok, let’s see if this comment goes through. 🙂

    • Here or there says:

Thank you! I posted something about his tweaking on the other post yesterday, but no one really believed me.

      • boredblond says:

Well I did..even said the list of procedures he had was revealed on other sites. It’s too bad, always thought he was aging well. They look like an exhibit straight out of Madame Tussaud’s.

      • BESO says:

Honestly, I’m totally neutral on Brad’s face except to say I recognize he still makes some women attack depending on who he’s personally involved with. Haha

I don’t see that he’s done anything. Looks the same.

I can spot a guy’s plastic surgery from 20 paces. Take it from me, I’m someone who cried as a kid when Don Johnson got an eye tuck (thankfully it was years ago and his lively hooded eyes are back..have u seen him on blood and oil?)

Just what kind of procedures, do u claim Brad has had? Fine I’ll maybe give you a facial or laser resurfacing, it’s well know he had acne scars when he started, not that it held him back.

But I don’t see Brad Pitt as being the kind of man to do too much more. He was always a character actor anyway, and I think he relishes not being perfect.

      • JenniferJustice says:

I dont’ know why anybody would not beleive you. It’s obvious and it’s all over the blinds.

      • Paige says:

Blinds? I hope you don’t mean blind items.

      • Pondering thoughts says:

Brad’s face does look slightly different. I just can’t pin it down: weight loss or surgery?

      • BESO says:

        Hi @Paige,

Lol yes that’s what she means I think.

Sad, people believe proven bullsh. sites over their own eyes. But Brad did get snapped going to a facialist with his ex long ago, so he’s not adverse to wanting to make his pores and acne scars less apparent. He wasn’t using aveeno and neither was she.

I remember some web site that specialized in HD audio visual listed stars who had the worst skin in HD close ups and they named him and his ex wife.

Hilariously, they listed Angelina as having the best skin.

      • FLORC says:

It’s on the Blind items? Well why didn’t you say so!? Star magazine must have broke that story 😉

Blind items come from 3 ways.
        1. People think these things up and submit them. Like you and I. When they get picked you can find the submitters bragging about their getting chosen.

        2. Tossing spaghetti or spit balls to boards that have pictures and verbs, seeing what sticks, and going with it hoping it’s vague enough no one can deny or prove.

        3. Take a lazy approach. Take a celeb known for specific behavior. Let’s say Yeezus. And say “This male musician has had enough of his spouses mostly famous for TV (but not only) family from butting in. He’s fled to his BFF’s (who is also a designer) bed to cope.”
So your mind only goes to 1 possibility. Are facts needed at all? No. It’s vague enough, but specific enough to work and stir the pot.

Friends don’t let friends believe blind items.

Also, on a rare occasion a BI is true it comes out about 2 days after the story broke elsewhere, but gossip cycles haven’t caught up. Or it’s no big deal and no one cares.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

        @FLORC …

I’ve seen all three of your bulletin points in writing about the Jolie-Pitts. I clearly remember reading comments at the “Ian Halperin Undercover” Board where people were bragging about “telling Ian not to forget to put ‘that’ in.” Considering all the nonsense Ian Halperin’s book contained, most of it was definitely nothing more than fan fiction.

It’s just like the nonsense posted and believed at Female First. When you ask for a post with a link to support the ‘urban legends’ they’ve created about Angelina Jolie over the years, they just respond “Everybody ‘knows’ it’s true, So-and-so posted it (translated–‘made it up’) years ago,” as if that makes it true (Angelina wasn’t pregnant with the twins, her assistant gave birth to them; Mick Jagger and Johnny Lee Miller fathered the Jolie-Pitt twins; Angelina’s relatives own all of the Blogs favorable to the Jolie-Pitts, etc … and those are some of the ‘saner’ urban legends).

What’s interesting to me is no matter ‘how’ Angelia Jolie-Pitt actually looks, some of the comments will always be about how ’emaciated’ she looks, how ‘tweaked’ she looks and how much, MUCH larger her reconstructed breasts are on her tiny, skeletal frame (when you can go back years and find photos where she looks exactly the same), this even though she looks completely ‘normal’ standing next to Robert De Niro in the photo above. Do her arms ‘really’ look skeletal next to De Niro’s arms?

    • Suzanne says:

LOL. Correct on both accounts, Don’t Kill me I’m French!

    • Esmom says:

He looks oddly jowly and gaunt at the same time. I think the slicked back hair emphasizes it. And yet he still looks miles better than the many guys his age that I know.

I’m not a fan of AJ’s dress but she looks lovely and those earrings and shoes are killer.

      • Bae says:

I don’t think he looks better than guys his age. He looks like someone who tried to stop aging, but it caught up on him in a weird way.

      • I’m not getting where people see surgery. He literally JUST finished filming a movie. A movie he had to lose weight for (which is why he looks gaunt), because the guy he was playing (General McChrystal) was very lithe–he ran miles every day and only ate one meal a day.

His face was fuller before that….so when did he get surgery and how did he recover so fast?

      • Esmom says:

Bae, Maybe you’ve got a lot of hot, stylish, hip 50-something guys where you are but in my town the prevailing look for that age group is paunchy, balding and dad jeans. I’ve spent many a summer at Little League games with them. And the occasional silver fox. Even at his worst, Brad smokes the average guy.

      • Carol says:

When you age you get jowly. It’s not surgery but gravity

      • Really says:

        This- very jowly!

      • BESO says:

        Hi @esmom

Just a quick question. I’m confused at the word ‘jowly,’ and how it’s being used.

Jowly is loose flappy fatty skin over the jaw, obscuring the jaw line, making it look not cut but fleshy. At least that’s what I thought.

OK, just looked it up. I’m right. Saggy and fleshy.

I’m looking at these pics and Brad’s jaw is as cut as ever. it’s one of the reasons everyone says there’s a Redford resemblance, he has the same wide square big jaw.

        So what’s jowly?

Are people confusing his large squareness (that he’s always had) with the word, ‘jowls?’

      • Kitten says:

@VC-yeah the timing doesn’t seem conducive to getting work done, but injections only take a few minutes..downtime is probably a few days.

I’m not saying he def. had work done but something looks different. Could be the slick hairstyle that’s throwing me off?

      • Ennie says:

Brad looks like his dad, but with a wider jaw… so age is coming. Believe me, I am worried about it at 45 and having had a very jowly mom.

      • FLORC says:

I see no procedures here. Just aging. It happens. He’s thinned out too.

    • Bettyrose says:

I was like “I wonder who that is in the first pic.” Oh, Brad. No

      • mandy says:

He looks bad- please go back to your blonde calif looks
Why is she in a towel?

      • Santia says:

“Why is she in a towel” cracked me all the way up. I have to say that I hated the dress UNTIL I saw the back. That’s very pretty. And different.

    • AntiSocialButterfly says:

Haha! Or a Bridges brother! Definitely some eye surgery, and something to de-texture his face- he looks so much *less* weathered/leather skinned in general- a peel? Laser? And did he maybe have a gentle mid face lift +/- a little under chin clean-up?

    • Darkladi says:

What the hell did she do to Brad?

    • jessica says:

Both have them have had something done to their face.

    • Alex says:

It’s pretty obvious he’s had a face lift. His jaw line is much tighter.

    • thelazylioness says:

That was said on Dlisted. Photoshop is amazing because he looked incredible in that recent magazine shoot and now not so much but I’m nearly his age and he looks fine considering that fact. I think he looks better with longer hair, especially now at this age.

  3. Lk says:

Brad looks weird. It’s like his chin just gave up struggling and said feck it.

    • Diana M. says:

Gee, he is 52. At that age things happen to your chin and neck!

      • Lk says:

No, no. I mean it doesn’t look natural. I wasn’t trying to age-shame anyone for goodness sake.

      • Bettyrose says:

I agree LK, I don’t think natural aging is what we’re looking at here, but if it is than they’re styling him wrong. I thought he looked great in yesterday’s pictures, so maybe he’s just not a suit and tie guy. Personally, I love a jeans, turtleneck, beret look on a guy his age.

      • WinnieCoopersMom says:

I am guessing this jowl issue is why he had the beard for so long; took him a while to accept it was happening and now finally comfortable enough with it to not hide it behind a beard anymore.

      • FLORC says:

I’ve seen enough aging people that have gone through both procedures for cosmetic reasons and traumatic reasons. Along with age and weight loss this looks natural.
Very ordinary. To think it’s not natural makes me wonder how high or low your standards on aging are.
Factor in some days we all look awesome and some days not looking like we should show our faces… Natural is my instinct.

      • BESO says:

Huh @winniecoopersmom? Brad had no beard in moneyball, no beard in basterds, no beard in world war z, no beard in by the sea – no beard in hundreds and hundreds of candid snaps. In fact he seldom ever has a full beard that covers his jaw. At most he has chin pubes, but in most of his movie roles and in general he doesn’t have any facial hair that hides anything.

    • Square Bologna says:

Agreed, his neck and jawline are sagging. Between that and the slicked-down hair, he looks suddenly aged.

    • silken_floss says:

He’s aging (naturally?). I think we have all become so used to seeing tight, pulled faces on these celebrities that when one appears to be plastic surgery/botox free, it would seem ‘weird’ I guess. He looks good to me. He’s one of my Forever Dong(s) 😛

      • Josephine says:

I think he looks great. He looks like a man his age, and he looks handsome.

      • Greata says:

I might be naive, but I think he has lost a lot of weight for his present role.He is still damm fine IMO.

      • susiecue says:

I don’t think he’s had work done. Just looks 52 to me. We haven’t seen him clean-shaven in awhile, I think that’s it. It makes it more obvious he looks older

    • Calcifer says:

@ josephine ‘I think he looks great. He looks like a man his age, and he looks handsome.’ I completely agree. I think it’s charming that he shows his age a bit, and I really prefer him to look clean and elegant like he does here instead of scruffy like he often does. I just think it’s a better look for aging men. Don’t try to look young by dressing ‘ young’ and over accessorizing, like Johnny Depp (and Brad as well on occasion). Don’t dye your hair. But make sure you are well-groomed and fit! And then some wrinkles and greying temples can be irresistible. Could it be that this is my European way of looking at aging or are there Americans here who think the same?

    • Kitten says:

      Yeah something is very off…

    • Annie says:

He just shaved his facial hair. I think it’s been awhile since he’s been without the scruff

      • Anare says:

That’s what I think too. Clean shaven first time in a long time. And thinner. But he does look a little botoxy too. Like his face is working hard to move.

  4. Lilacflowers says:

DeNiro must have finished filming that movie that required him to shave his head.

  5. Sway says:

I love Angie, but these black sacks she wears at these events are starting to get on my nerves. She’s been doing this for years. This particular sack is at least a little bit more flattering, you can see she has legs and the back piece is interesting (yay, tiger tattoo!) She looks beautiful in black, yes, but the lack of color every single time at premieres and screenings… is starting to get old.

    • Goats on the Roof says:

She likes what she likes and wears what she’s comfortable in.

    • Franca says:

As someone who wears only black, apart from jeans, I love that she wears only black. Black clothes are amazing. All of the time. Besides, with her face, why wear something that would pull focus from it?

This dress looks great on her, her hair is nice. But she should find a new makeup artist. Her face is always so shinny.

      • Esmom says:

I pretty much only wear black, too. I have broken out a bit in recent years but it’s really the only thing I feel comfortable in. Especially when I’m dressed up.

      • Bae says:

I don’t mind that she wears black, but I think that her clothes didn’t fit properly in the last few times we saw her on the red carpet. I think her breasts are simply too big for her frame and it makes her look disproportional.

      • V4Real says:

As I said yesterday the 90 or 95% of my wardrobe including shoes are black.

I think AJ looks ok but these types of strapless/tube dresses can be tricky. It’s not the best fit but she looks comfortable. I think the big bow in the back takes away from the dress. We have been having some pretty mild weather here in NY for November and it’s working in her favor.

I’m seem to be in the minority that Brad looks great.

    • s says:

This is not quite on point, but here it is:
I remember reading an article about how unacceptable is to repeat a work outfit several days in a row, especially for women. The counterexample was that men have rather more leeway with wearing the same suit and only changing the shirt/tie combo. Some other noted men take it even further by wearing the same outfit every day, like Steve Jobs or that Facebook brat, the latter saying that not making decisions about clothing helps him make faster decisions about the corporation.
Again, the article posited if it’s ever possible for women to be like that, and actually Jolie was mentioned as a woman who has a “work” uniform of blacks, greys and nudes. I don’t mind her black dresses (and black everything). One more decision to make in a busy day.

      • sofia says:

Imagine an actress doing red carpet events in a tuxedo? I would like to see that bc the amount of work needed (logistics/time) to put on a fancy look must be exhausting. Guys may change the shirt and only own a pair of shoes and a suit and that’s it and women have to make an effort beyond that. I wonder if actresses feel they can choose or just do what they are supposed to do. This is relevant from a feminist perspective.

      • V4Real says:

“I remember reading an article about how unacceptable is to repeat a work outfit several days in a row, especially for women.”

But people who work in the fast food industry or service field wears the same outfit/ uniform just about everyday. 🙂

      • s says:

I think I had office wear in mind and I didn’t make it clear.
Not the proper place, but I always wanted to try on one of those ridiculous hot dog costumes or pop bottle or banana, and go to work.

      • EN says:

You are right, the amount of work and money that goes into a single red carpet look for a woman is ridiculous.
And after all that work, many of them find themselves on the “worst dressed” lists. It must hurt, though I imagine actresses have to learn to grow very thick skin.
Still, I feel bad about the whole thing. Such a waste of money and effort.

    • Shambles says:

Just came to say that I heart her back piece as well. It’s one of my favorites of her tattoos.

  6. Angie says:

It’s a carbon copy of almost everything she’s worn and her hair looks just kind of thrown up. Her black gowns in the past have usually been flattering and beautiful on her, but her outfits on this press tour have been pretty bland and ill fitting.

  7. Barrett says:

    Boring.

I also hate tattoos. Low class look to me in a designer gown. That’s how I was raised regardless of how in they become.

    • InvaderTak says:

I dont hate all tattoos, but I think hers are badly done. Bad placement, in need of touch ups, and they don’t make sense with one another. The more in they become the more bad ones you see.

      • BESO says:

        @INVADERTAK

Angelina had tattoos before they were cool with a lot of people. She was getting them when they were not “in,” especially with actresses/actors/performers – so in a lot of ways I consider hers, more authentic.

The point of tats, though I’m no expert, is that they are not for other people’s consumption or admiration. They are deeply personal symbols (Angelina’s represent what’s important to her, her kids, Brad, her mom, and her own inspiration ).

They don’t need to make sense to other people. Or be in coordinated designs and colors that mesh.

That’s why poseurs who get an entire sleeve done in a day are often ridiculed.

People used to get a tat, as an important celebration of an event, a milestone, a remembrance. That way, you accumulate meaningful symbols (to you personally) over time, years. Over a life span.

Not getting half your body tatted up in 3 hrs just to ‘look cool,’ on stage because you’re a Hipster who likes wearing baby tees, and you want to match your tat to your favorite manic panic colored hair or guitar (thinking of John Mayer, Lol).

    • Suzanne says:

Finally someone was brave enough to say outlaid…they don’t like tattoo’s either! I thought I was the only one who was raised not to want or have one. Her tats just make her look like a former sleezeball.

      • M.A.F. says:

Wow. so all of us who have tattoos are sleezballs?

      • smcollins says:

M.A.F., don’t forget trashy and low-class. Neither of my parents have tattoos and my mom is not a huge fan of mine (I have 3), but she also knows it’s a personal choice and has never made me feel “less” because of them. I don’t know why people get so judgemental and high-and-mighty over there dislike of tattoos. You don’t like them, don’t get them, but don’t call people who do have them rude names. You don’t know the story or meaning behind someone’s tattoos.

      • V4Real says:

” I thought I was the only one who was raised not to want or have one.

I’m sure all of us on here were raised to not do, say, behave in a certain way or not have certain things but we do anyways.

It’s your opinion and I’m not attacking you for it but I have tats and I’m far from a sleezball.

      • Kitten says:

Suzanne didn’t realize that she’s insulting 70% of the population. A LOT of people have tats–most people I know have at least one.

I certainly don’t think they make people look “sleazy” (I consider them art) but I’m not a fan of them for myself. I like seeing my skin 🙂

      • SusanneToo says:

I have no tatoos and no piercings-not even my ears. My daughter has many of both. I’m gonna call her right now and let her know she’s trash. Thanks!

    • lucy2 says:

I have none, but don’t mind them if they’re in a place that can be covered by formal wear, or are small enough to not be too noticeable. If someone has a very big or very bright one, my eye goes right to that, and I think it can throw off the design of a dress.

      • Dr. Funkenstein says:

Sure it does. It’s not any different than wearing the wrong hat or jewelry. It draws the eye.

      • Fallon says:

I don’t have tattoos, but I love them and especially like when people share the stories of their tattoos. I agree with you that they can throw off the design of a dress, in some cases.

      • Kitten says:

I agree, Lucy2. They are definitely a disruption visually.

But I bet most people who have tats care less about that sh*t than the significance of their tattoo and what it means to them.

    • Ennie says:

I love to see the tiger on her back. I do think it is very nice to see that tattoo peeking out here and there in some of her outfits.
Personal choices, anyway. My skin will get too saggy, so I never got or will get one, but if they are not gang related, do as you please (but leave the face alone, please.
My only grip is with teachers. I do not think any place is suitable for every job, and I like teachers to not have tattoos on display. Multicolor hair is fine, but tattoos or some types of piercings, no.

  8. ctgirl says:

    Boooorrrriiinnngg.

  9. HadlyB says:

She does look tired — or maybe she is just getting older. We tend to get the ” you look tired or mad” comments as you age. Women, never men though. They can look beat, angry, mad, tired and its ok.

Maybe its the early menopause causing her to change so fast? My mom aged pretty fast after and she had looked younger until she went through it and also seemed tired a lot.

    • Pablo says:

I read comments like that about men’s looks every day. Heck, I’ve read them in this same thread. Stop with the victimism.

And BTW I think she looks incredible. People saying a certain woman looks tired are often women themselves. Be angry at them, not at men.

    • BESO says:

      @HADLYB

Doubt it’s ‘early meno making her change so fast.’ She looks no different to me.

So I don’t know what that means – she looks the same as she did in pics from a few months ago, and in pics from several months ago.

I find many women are ignorant about menopause. My guess is Angelina is most likely on HRT (it can be natural or not) as most women who go thru surgical (and natural) meno are. If anything, in the coming months/years she might be putting on weight because of them.

At which point I expect people will accuse her of getting fillers. She literally can’t win. Beautiful girl problems.

    • Katie says:

Brad looks tired. And, dare I say it, old.

  10. lower-case deb says:

    Bob!!!
i still remember that story Angelina shared about shooting the Good Shepherd. she wasn’t feeling well because she just got pregnant, vomited and fainted. when she came round, he asked if she’s okay. she said she’s probably really knocked up now. Bob said “oh. okay. do you want a banana? have a banana”

i need to find out the rest of the article about it!

    Bob sounds like a hoot!

  11. LAK says:

My goodness I love that dress. I want that dress. She looks good.

  12. vauvert says:

I think she always dresses for herself. Doesn’t give a fig what people like or say. Her face looks lovely and the bling is pretty. I would like her in bold colours, she could certainly wear the heck out of a red Valentino or a turquoise gown, but if she feels comfortable in black, go for it. Better than the nude gown over panties any day. I think Brad actually looks good. Neither of them is pretending to be 25, thank goodness.

  13. DavidBowie says:

I loved the dress until I saw the back. It looks like she’s wearing a diaper.

  14. sophie says:

    Brad looks terrible.

  15. Nev says:

    Yes Brad YES.

  16. BNA. FN says:

Stunning! stunning! stunning! Love the Angelina’s gown, the back is omg gorgeous. I read awhile back that Brad loves to give her jewelry, so I’m saying she owns the earrings. Btw, this reminds me of the Benjamin Buttons Red carpet. They both are the stars they are.

  17. lower-case deb says:

i hope i’m not threadjacking with this one *suddenly feeling self conscious about it, sorry Kaiser, i just gotten too excited!*

but i like they have released the new behind the scenes thing.
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jCTHVejhwZM
Niels Arestrup’s acting is amazing i think. i can feel his sadness from all the way over here.
and i like how Angie modulates her voice here. very soothing

  18. Fa says:

Brad look different because he was filming a movie that recur him to loose weight, & he cut his hair took like an army guy because of the movie

    • Yeahisaidit says:

I think when he grows his beard back he’ll go back to looking better. He is 50 something and his beard hides his imperfections around his jaw. He looks best with a beard, hat, scarf and glasses.

  19. Manjit says:

She has such a beautiful face, I just wish she would put on a little weight. She looks so frail.

  20. WILZ says:

why does she use the same foundation that makes her face look so shiny it’s not flattering at all…and brad looks very different here ,he looked great in the interview they gave a few days ago.

    • Colette says:

That interview with Tom Brokaw was done about three months ago before Brad start working on War Machine.

  21. Naddie says:

She looks good because it’s impossible for her to look bad, but rather unhealthy. And no, I’m not implying anything or body-shaming her.

  22. karen2 says:

…that’s a very ordinary black wraparound until you see the back…then wow love it especially with the tatts…

    • ncboudicca says:

me, too. Don’t care about the front but love the back.

    • Whatevs says:

Agreed, it’s kind of sack-like from the front, but from the back it’s wow. Very dangerous. Probably only works on her – I don’t think there are too many other actresses who could pull it off.

  23. Calcifer says:

Love the slicked-back hair and the suit on Brad Pitt! A really nice change from his usual laid-back style. And Angelina looks positively regal in this dress with and the beautiful crystal drop earrings (or maybe they are rough diamonds, since she has expensive taste in jewellery).

  24. lucy2 says:

I don’t mind the dress from the front, but don’t care for the sheer back.
I think Brad’s face looks odd so clean shaven after all the years of scruff. But his suit looks good.

  25. My two cents says:

Brad and Angie are a power couple in every sense. Angelina is still beautiful but, I don’t think she looks healthy. She looks even thinner and her color isn’t good. I certainly hope she is okay. She looks pasty. I’m not trying to ridicule her in any way. Just makes me concerned for her health with all she has been through. Brad is Brad…gorgeous and healthy looking!

    • BNA. FN says:

@My two cents. I have read comment like yours about a hundred times for years now. “She dont look healthy” … she is too thin, her colour isnt good”… I certainly hope she is ok … She looks pasty”. … ” I’m not trying to ridicule her in any way”. ” Just concerned about her health”. No you are not concerned about her health. You are trying to ridicule her, just own your bias and stop being passive aggressive. Btw, they both look fabulous in my opinion, a fan.

      • lisa2 says:

This is their mantra.. on every thread.. on any post over and over. If they see more than 2 comments about her weight or whatever you can bet this is going to be the majority of comments. It is so ridiculous. None of these people are fans and to act as if they care about her well being is almost offensive. Some of the same posters say the most filthy things about her breast surgery. So no it is hypocritical at the least.

I have never seen women be so beyond gross about another woman. I don’t understand that kind of hate or disdain. I don’t know what she has done to anyone in this life to warrant that kind deep hatred that everything about her has to be picked to pieces. It’s sad. .really sad.

      • Whatevs says:

You guys use the word “fan” as though it confers the same kind of prestige as “PhD” or “Nobel Prize winner.” Being “a fan” doesn’t actually make your opinion worth more, FYI.

      • Andrea 1* says:

@WHATEVS…. Your comment is so spot on…..👍👏👏👏👏👏
And i say this as a huge lover of Brad and Angelina…

      • TheOtherMaria says:

Slow your roll, she wasn’t ridiculing her, just stating an opinion that differs from yours.

My goodness, for the same few people who may comment on her looks, there’s always the same folks who willing to blast someone for not singing her praises.

I think Angie, especially given everything she’s been through, looks just fine–I wish she’d add SOME color tho, I still remember her wearing this yellow gown from years back, and it was amazing!

I don’t think she looks pasty either, the black is just washing out her naturally pale skin.

      • Annie says:

You and Lisa are a bit cray-cray

      • Jib says:

For pete’s sake, open your eyes and look at her bones sticking out all over. Does your idolatry blind you?? The woman is wasting away and no one seems to be doing anything about it!! And I am NOT shaming her, my sister suffers from anorexia, how shallow can you be to think that everyone commenting about her weight are just “evil, jealous haters.” Sheesh, are the Jolie fans all nuts around here??? The woman looks very, very sick. She needs weight right now. Or you are going to be reading about her in the hospital for a weight-related illness.

      • Emelu says:

Thank you Jib. Now run for cover!

  26. prissa says:

The dress is pretty, but I’m not feeling the bow. I Think I would like it better without the bow. Just the sleek lining in the back would be much more striking.

  27. atiaofthejulii1 says:

Did she botox again? Why? She doesn’t need it. She looks too shiny or is it the flashes and photoshop?

  28. Dame Heddy says:

    Both look really really tired.

  29. dr mantis toboggan says:

Didn’t Pitt and DeNiro star in that ad for the “family friendly” casino together?

  30. BNA. FN says:

One minute according to some, Brad’s face looks haggard, and his jaw lines are sagging. Then the next minute he has had plastic surgery. Some can’t make up their mind. Bottom line is, he’s a handsome man.

    • Crumpet says:

His face looks different and people are just trying to figure it out, calm down.

To me it looks like he has put on some weight in his face and neck, and that will accentuate jowliness. I know, because when I gain weight, the extra fat means the skin is not pulled as tightly against the muscle and bone, and when that happens, if your skin no longer has the elasticity of youth, you get jowls. Eventually it happens no matter what, but he is too young still for that.

    • Goo says:

      BNA. FN, was…. No longer!

      • Leonie says:

Wrong, he is still very handsome.

      • BESO says:

Speak for yourself. He’s Brad Pitt and he still has that face and bod and swag, and no he’s not ‘jowly,’ please look up the def of that word. He’s had that big jaw since he was a toddler.

Some people seriously want Brad and Angie to get old and ugly in the next 10 minutes or go away permanently. That way, the deeply resentful bitter people who don’t like them can finally exhale, and won’t be reminded of how basic they are.

      • BNA. FN says:

@goo, yes, IMO Brad is still a very handsome man. You don’t have to agree with me. Btw, if Brad and Angelina were not a beautiful and fascinating couple you would not be following them for the past ten years. I’m betting you are not following JT for the last four years and critiquing his every move.

    • kate says:

Well that’s the thing, it’s both. Some areas of his face look quite tight and pulled (areas that tend to show age first), but then other areas show every bit of his age. The jowliness only serves to highlight the areas of his face that have been worked on.

  31. GingerCrunch says:

I’ve been getting a Howard Hughes vibe from Brad for a while now. No Bueno, imho.

  32. Elizabeth says:

The dress is stunning – we all know Angelina loves black. I don’t think she should have worn her hair up. It makes her face and neck look so thin. I’m sure the tabloids will say she’s anorexic and dying again.

Brad had a lot of work done on his face! He’s looking very different but he’s still gorgeous 🙂

  33. mkyarwood says:

I think Brad has lost some weight, and that’s contributing to his face issues. He may have had previous work that looks a little plasticine-y, now that he’s slimmed down. My face is totally going to do this in 20 years.

  34. tracking says:

Her styling is very nice, and killer shoes, but the dress is not flattering. She looks better in fitted dresses. His face does look odd– it’s something about his mouth. In the second shot, he looks almost mannequin-like.

  35. Jessica says:

I’m pretty sure they are tired. They have been busy. Brad just finished filming a movie. Angelina is busy working on a new movie( I saw pics of them in Cambodia on Lainey). They were at a screening the night before last. This was last night. Now they have the AFI Awards today. I would be exhausted too. I like the dress. She looks lovely. I’m not liking Brad’s hair. His suit is nice.

  36. Tippi says:

What did he do to his face? It’s like he had surgery to look older. He was ageing so well and in an instant he’s an old man.

She looks beautiful but her face is a bit waxy and ‘worked on’, she’ll be in alien territory soon if she continues messing with herself.

  37. Candice says:

They look normal for the award event. I liked her dress and her shoes. Brad looks seems easily change with what he choose to style his hair and wheather he has facal hair or no facial hair and with the way he styled his hair with it. He also lost weight.
I like them both and their interviews are very touchy. Hopely they will look great toinght for the perimer of BTS.

  38. What's inside says:

They both look exhausted and she is so very, very painfully thin. I doubt that she owns those earrings – she believes in body decorating with tatoos, not gems, not even wearing her engagement ring routinely. The dress is boring in the front, looks like a sack, but is party in the back and that is interesting.

    • Paige says:

She has a a jewelry line with Robert Procop. Some people choose to wear their engagement rings after marriage and some don’t.

  39. IrishEyes says:

Wow. She looks ill. Painfully thin.
Brad looks like he tweaked his face and it did not settle well at all.

  40. Hannah says:

She looks thin but gorgeous he looks like an ageing Ken doll.

  41. EN says:

Angelina will always look good but I noticed that women hitting the menopause start looking old , all of the sudden. Something changes. I don’t know what it is. But something does and the signs are there. Like here in Angelina’s case , her face is smooth, her hair isn’t white but something in her face reminds you of old people.
She has a look of an immortal vampire, and I am sorry if that is offending anyone, I don’t mean it that way.
But this is how I would imagine a forever young 300 years old sorceress like Morgana would look like. Except Angelina , of course, is a wonderful human being, and not an evil sorceress.

    • FingerBinger says:

You always know when women start hitting menopause? That’s quite a talent.

      • EN says:

        > You always know when women start hitting menopause? That’s quite a talent.

I don’t know. But most people don’t hide it.

    • BESO says:

I think this was the most offensive misogynistic fake concern-trolling anti-woman statement ever. Every box is checked. If a man had said it, we’d want his hide.

Does Sharon stone look different? Demi Moore? Aniston? Please tell us how you can pick up the signs that progesterone, estrogen, testosterone are decreasing, and how you can tell if a woman is on hormone replacement therapy, as most are or not.

The goal is to denigrate her, basically for still being beautiful and not dead.

      They’ll never stop.

      • EN says:

It is impossible to say anything here without people jumping on you. You know, I like Jolie, as a human being, but can we stop “she looks so great” because we are so afraid to be non-PC?

Her bone structure is that of a godess but you can see she is not healthy, she is aging, and very fast. And I’ve seen the same with women hitting certain age. One day they can pass for 30 and the next day they look 50-60. That was the case with Demi about 3 years ago. Given what Jolie has been through why is it even controversial that she doesn’t look as good as 10 years ago?

And it is going to happen to all of us., one day will come – and we’ll look old. I just hope that day is farther rather than sooner. That is all. But I am not going to lie to myself and keep telling myself I still look 25.

  42. Alice too says:

I love the back of that dress. Never been a fan of tattoos, that’s probably a generation thing.

The black on both of them looks harsh though and isn’t really doing either of them any favors.

    • Pmnichols says:

I agree. The back of the dress is so pretty. I don’t mean this to sound mean but I think they both look exhausted and pale. I like them but they look wiped out. Probably all the kiddies.

      • Alice too says:

Could be the lighting as well if they are standing under compact fluorescent lights. Nothing looks good in that wavelength.
Or it could just be that they are both getting to the age that some colour near the face is a good idea. But Pitt in particular looks suddenly old, he seems to have developed a wattle under his chin and “old man” eyebrows, the sort that age brings and you suddenly start having longer wiry hairs in them that you didn’t have when you were younger. It probably doesn’t help that the photoshopped to high heaven Redford pics are fresh in everyone’s mind either.

  43. Kate says:

Angelina is a goddess. I truly love to look at photos of her. (I’ve found her frail, sometimes skeletal appearance on film to be unsettling at times, but she seems to be looking great here). I think she’s talented and interesting, and I’ve just really developed an appreciation for her in the last few years. And Brad … well, he’s starting to look like Jimmy Carter (or at least what Jimmy Carter would look like if he were a hammy Midwestern used car salesman in the midst of mid-life crisis.)

  44. Saywhatwhen says:

I love that dress. But they both look exhausted, drained even.

  45. shannon says:

Kill me, but she’s too thin. They both look like wax figures in that very first picture.

  46. India says:

Poor Brad. Run hard and put up wet.

  47. jh says:

    Make-up. It’s a good thing, Angie.

    • Kitten says:

This woman does NOT need it. At all.

      • jessica says:

Maybe not when she was younger but now she does. I don’t think she looks very good without it like Natalie Portman does. Angelina was a beauty but not anymore.

  48. tw says:

She was very thin for years prior any of her elective surgery. If anything, an oopherectomy would cause weight gain due to onset of menopause – not weight loss. There’s a reason her gowns are never form-fitting, and being overly PC and not calling it out isn’t helping anyone.

  49. desertrose says:

Don’t they look like brother and sister in those pics?? Brad continues his habit of morphing into his girlfriends/wives.

  50. perplexed says:

She doesn’t look tired to me. He does though.

  51. Miran says:

Brad looks like Benecio Del Toro in the face in these pics. No me gusta.

  52. Katie says:

    Brad’s face looks wrong

  53. Freddy Spaghetti says:

Where’s the promo for By the Sea? No co-star interviews? Still no critic reviews?

I know Brad and Angie, mostly her, have talked to the press, done the pap strolls, etc, but this is really weird promo.

From the photos, they look happy but tired. Take a real vacation! They both have earned it.

    • Ennie says:

Who knows? maybe there is not that much budget probably to be flying the other foreign artists to promote the filme, maybe they are working?. Maybe if they go to Europe to promote it they will be there.

  54. anne_000 says:

He’s kinda starting to look like Steve Buscemi.

  55. vespernite says:

Angie, whom I love, looks pasty and tired to me. The dress is boring. They have definitely looked better as a couple. Brad looked good to me though. Brad really does clean up well.

As a side note: I wish Johnny Depp would clean up a bit he is looking terrible these days. Too try hard!

  56. WinnieCoopersMom says:

Ok I havent seen anyone comment on this topic yet, but does it appear to anyone else like she has some sort of white powdery substance on her back and arms? Just odd.. I can’t tell if it’s that/makeup or just weird lighting.

    • Inconceivable! says:

Angelina also has make up fingerprints on her left boob. After all these years wearing black, I’d think she’d be extra careful with powder prints on a black dress.

    • mollie says:

It’s that high -def powder that celebs insist on using.

  57. Ennie says:

    Those. Earrings.

  58. Colette says:

Tom Brokaw interview was done in August BEFORE Brad start filming his latest film.

  59. Saks says:

He looks to have borrowed Meg Ryan’s lips…

  60. MND says:

    Jennifer Aniston.

*Because it’s a Brad and Ange thread.

  61. Kate Bush says:

Neither of them look their best here. Jolie’s fashion choices are dismal and she looks emaciated. I know she’s looked like this for a long time not just since her surgery but she’s just so frail looking.
Brad I don’t know.. I like his films but he’s ageing weirdly.
I guess we all age tho I certainly wouldn’t want to be in the spotlight As an ageing celeb. They obviously have other priorities now and the whole fashion thing isn’t important to them maybe?

  62. enoughalready says:

way too much botox and the slicked back hair…I think that’s what’s causing a stir.

  63. Ididn'tdoit says:

Didn’t even recognize Brad. He sure Jacked his face. His face is tweaked. It’s really difficult to fix the neck though. I like the dress but it’s ill fitting. Calling a spade a spade, Angie is looking way too frail. They both could use a vacation. They are rich beyond belief and can take a break.

  64. Lillylizard says:

Brad is certainly looking a bit over done, lay off the botox laddie.

  65. serena says:

I really like the back of the dress, but I wish she’d let her hair loose!

  66. lasagna_jones says:

what is that spot of bright red under her watch?

  67. Nibbi says:

lawd i must be the only one who just can’t with that dress. i can deal with the sack-ness from the front and i’ve no problem with black, but LAWD the back, man. queen badassness herself in a *bow*? … and the tatts showing thru the corset-mesh? and that weird gather at the butt?

… whatevs i still always love when they re promoting something cuz i love pics of her but sheesh woman. i feel like tom ford has let her down in this one

  68. Bets says:

Brad appears to have had a ton of surgery done to his face – he looks much older!

  69. benchwarmer says:

LOL at whoever said Brad looks like a Kennedy brother. I don’t see any plastic surgery on either of them. I prefer her look when she was wearing the white strapless beaded Versace dress, hair down and stud type earrings. These earrings look painfully heavy, you can see they pull the lobe down. I love how she smiles on the red carpet and doesn’t make one of those ‘I’m so fierce, I’m hollywood royalty’ faces. I hate those try hard poses when people don’t smile. She’s not pretentious and that’s what I love about her. I just wish Angelina would amp up her street style and not always wear head to toe black.

  70. benchwarmer says:

    double post

  71. redd says:

So bougie she refuses to eat.
