Justin Bieber on full frontal shots: not ‘as bad as thought it was going to be’

17th NRJ Music Awards
Justin Bieber was a guest on Ellen yesterday, where he helped kick off the “first ever Justin Bieber week.” They introduced Bieber’s interview with a montage of his past appearances on the show. It was clear that Ellen was working to soften Bieber’s image, which has seemed more bratty than relatable lately. At times the two of them laid it on thick, although Ellen did tease Bieber a little about the unidentified woman in the background of his nude paparazzi photos in Bora Bora. He didn’t sound too broken up over the fact that the photos were out there. I mean his dad even gave him a virtual pat on the back. Here’s some of what he told Ellen, and the videos are below.

On what advice he would give his 16 year-old self
I would say listen more and listen to what people have to tell you because usually they’re telling you from past experiences.

On how he didn’t know about the paparazzi getting the nude shots of him
I just didn’t see them. I wasn’t looking out for them either…. they’re definitely in a boat.

On when he realized that the photographs were out there
A couple of days later. Scooter hit me and was like ‘yo, I hate to tell you this but your penis is on the Internet.’ So then the first thing I saw was like the censored one, it had like the black thing over it. I was like ‘oh my goodness, I don’t know what this is going to look like.’ It wasn’t as like, bad as thought it was going to be.

On if that was his girlfriend in the hotel room behind him
No it’s not.

Ellen: you just brought a friend to Bora Bora and you were just naked with your friend?
Why are you putting me on the spot like this? I’m not dating anyone though. She’s just a friend.

On why he called his album Purpose
I feel like I kind of lost my purpose for a while. I feel like I’m slowly finding my purpose. If I can let people know if you don’t have your purpose or if you feel like you’re looking for your purpose, it’s something that’s really fundamental in life. Yeah.

[From The Ellen show, aired 11-9-15]

I included the stuff about his album title because it was this circular word salad that I found mildly amusing. Ellen later claimed that Bieber often “makes an effort to see kids in hospitals” without seeking publicity. He got all serious and said “it’s often not the stuff that really gets recognized and I feel like people don’t really know that side of me.” My 11 year-old son walked into the room during that part of the interview and started cracking up because he thought that Bieber was full of it. Even tweens can see through Bieber.

After the break, Ellen asked Bieber about Selena Gomez and if any of the songs on his upcoming CD were about her. He said three were, What Do You Mean, Sorry and Mark My Words, and that a lot of things reminded him of her, like shows they used to watch together and smells. Ellen then asked him if they would ever get back together and he sounded hopeful. “We have a lot of history together so it possibly could happen but I think we’re both just on our own journeys of just figuring ourselves out and I think maybe once we figure ourselves out we can come together and make an awesome duo or she’ll find someone else and I’ll find someone else. I just want her to be happy honestly.” That sounded nice but it also sounded somewhat rehearsed. During this recent press tour, Bieber has said he still loves Selena and sounds like he wants her back while she just sounds over it. I hope that’s the case and that she stays far away from him. He’s still got a lot of growing up to do, even if he does secretly visit kids in the hospital. (Is anything he does really secret?)

Here’s the part where Bieber talks about his nude paparazzi photos:

And here’s where he talks about wanting to get back together with Selena:

Hah, of course it wasn’t that bad. Men never have to worry about their sexuality being weaponized against them.

    • Rainbow says:

They worry about the size though… 😉
I haven’t seen the uncensored photos (yikes) but I’ve heard that Justin’s size is ok (yikes again), if his penis was smaller he would be mocked.

      • Veronica says:

If he was worried about size, I doubt he’d be so casual about walking around naked. You’ll notice that nobody is saying it’s his own fault for being naked in the first place.

    • QQ says:

This all day, if anything, little baby got his ManBro Card off of this

    • Alex says:

Nailed it. That’s exactly what it is

  2. NewWester says:

“Why are you putting me on the spot like this?” Don’t we all hang out naked with our friends? My take is that he still wants Selena and he was embrassed that it got out he is seeing someone on the down low. He would prefer that Selena thinks he only wants her and no one else.

  3. Nancy says:

A naked Bieber is as exciting as seeing roadkill. He’s such a teeny little boy. Maybe girls in the 16 year old range see something other than I would…..lol very funny!

  4. J says:

Okay I like Ellen, but I am getting sick of her using her show as the first stop for every celebrity on a redemption tour. I know its daytime TV, and supposed to be a “safe” place for celebrities but god she does not push back on anything.

    • Sophie says:

I agree! I thought her interview was really rude? If someone was presenting in front of you as “vulnerable” (not sure if this is the case or still), it seems rude and insensitive to probe that way, especially showing the picture of them together behind him. Although this interview was probably manufactured so can’t really complain.

Meet Justin Beiber: Deep Thinker on the shallow end, Secretive Showboat; Love taking short walks with his exposed junk among females who are just friends.

  6. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

If you’re famous, and you sunbath nude, you know nude pictures of you will possibly turn up on the Internet. I see nothing wrong with sunbathing nude, except it’s bad for your skin, but can we stop pretending this was such a shock to him? He’s so full of it.

My husband and I watched this yesterday and looked at each other and laughed when Justin called Ellen “dude”. Then our 13 year old daughter came home from school and called her Dad “dude” and it confirmed for me that Justin hasn’t progressed past 13.

  8. swack says:

Some of his visits to children in the hospital have been publicized. In fact recently there was a story about it. They use it when he needs good publicity.

  9. vauvert says:

What this boy needs is parenting. Actually, he needed parenting a long time ago. Calling him a boy now is doing a disservice to all the responsible 21 year olds out there who juggle school, jobs, bills, relationships, without the benefit of multiple chances when acting like idiots.

Justin, grow up. Wash up, buy some actual clothes and shoes, stand up straight, go to school and stop going on Ellen every time you have a tantrum, complaining you are misunderstood. You are not. You act like a bratty, self entitled, uneducated toddler. If you need rehab and counselling, you can afford both. Stay out of the public eye for a year or two while you figure yourself up, then come back if you can handle the terrible pressures of wealth and fame.

  10. Ellie says:

Those pap shots look like a naked Mugatu.
The hair does nothing for him, but I think that’s because he’s such a jerk. I really don’t care if he visits sick kids or puts bows on puppies, he’s still a moron. I just can’t believe people are so fine with his bad behaviour, that he can go on Ellen and pretend to be all contrite and everyone is suppose to be “See he isn’t so bad, he’s just being a young guy” and stupid kids emulate the behaviour, because there’s no one saying like, what the hell Justin, grow the hell up, stop throwing chairs. Instead no, he gets the Ellen show and a pat on the back. When I see people saying that he’s just a kid, acting like a kid with money, they’re saying this is the standard – well then the standards are seriously low and that’s a problem.

  11. Bettyrose says:

I don’t care how old he actually is, that’s kiddie porn. He’s a little boy in physical and mental development, if not age. So.gross.

  12. Marianne says:

Of course he never had to worry about his naked pictures. He’s a guy. He gets to shrug it off and say he was on vacation and everyone moves on. If this were a woman, she would have to apologize for letting her fans down or some crap…

  13. Trillion says:

Guess it’s time for me to retire my checkered Vans slip-ons. Bummer. I don’t too much mind that he’s wearing a Nirvana t shirt though because nothing can be as wrong as Kim Kardashian in a Pink Floyd one.

  14. swack says:

Why is there a “Justin Bieber week”? Is he that interesting that he warrants a week of shows?

  15. Mindrew says:

Why on earth has he been on Ellen SO MUCH?! I don’t understand why she’s allowing this little douchebag so much airtime. Does SHE have a crush on the boy? Or is it that no one relevant will do her show now?

I stopped watching her show years ago, because it pissed me off that she brought her show back during the writer’s strike. Seems to me that her show has sunk to new lows lately.
