Why did Kendall Jenner attend the MTV Movie Awards this weekend? I’m not entirely sure. Technically, she was invited to be a presenter, and I kind of think MTV just invited some of the most high-profile young models to make up for the fact that most of the nominated movie stars (Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio) chose not to attend. MTV wanted youth and glamour, thus Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid got invited.
Kendall tried to steal the show in this asymmetrical Kristian Aadnevik mullet dress. The dress would have been boring (on a boring woman) if not for the Dsquared2 shoes that were so complicated, Kendall needed help putting them on and she had to keep adjusting them while she was on the carpet. So, I dislike the dress but I enjoy the fact that she was trying to bring some shoe drama. Also: Harry Styles was in LA this weekend and Harry and Kendall were seen out in public together – go here to see. So, maybe Kendall and Harry are back on? Maybe they were never even over? Or maybe they’re just friends that hang out sometimes.
Cara Delevingne wore black velvet Balmain to the show. As I’ve said, I’ve come to associate Balmain with the Kardashians, for better or for worse. So… yeah, I kind of hate this on her. I don’t get the design of “high waisted velvet jumpsuit” combined with “sheer bodice paneling.” It is, to me, just bad design. Plus, it makes Cara look super-flat-chested. She also looks crazy-slim, like this is the skinniest she’s ever looked to me. PS… people liked her tiny little side-braid.

When I first glanced at her photo on the front page, I thought it was Sandra Bullock. So the mullet dresses are still a thing? No wonder she had so much trouble with those shoes. Macrame is not as easy as it looks.

They both look very dramatic and I suppose pretty, but clothes have gotten so costumey (I know that’s not a word) that they also look sort of silly. And enough, everybody, with the hair pulled back except for some “romantic” stragglers hanging down.
I think Balmain has been a disaster lately. Especially those hideous, Baroque/Rococo inspired dresses, makes the brand look so cheap. And yes, as you said, costumey.
I think Kendall looks better than Cara, I hate that jumpsuit.

I think Kendall looks amazing. She’s a beautiful young woman. Cara is not unattractive, but she is not my cup of tea.

Kendall is simply stunning and I agree that the shoes make the outfit which doesn’t do anything much for me.
It does appear that she’s uncomfortable, either physically or simply not feeling confident in the look.

What struck me before that is how healthy her face looks.
She was looking as though she was on a 24/7 bender.
The thinness could be a sign that she’s living a healthier life, so good for her.
I think the outfit works because Kendall is six foot tall and thin and 20 years old. The heels work as well for the same reasons. Cara looks chic and understated for her.
O.T but did you know that in 2012,Tyga, Kylies Boyfriend Owned a porn company? I’m not sure if he did porn but theres a picture I saw on Black people Twitter that confirmed he did own a porn company. Wierd.
He did! I remember when it came out. He didn’t actually do any videos, he had his own site, that failed. It was right after his song Rack City. I even think it was named after the song, I’m not sure anymore.
Sure they’re both nepotism models but Cara is the more striking of the two by FAR.
She annoys me but I have to give it to her, she at least has some life in her face and has not yet been at the ‘tox. (it’s not a look high fashion likes in their models and the faster Kendal figures that out, the better)
I think you and I are in the minority. I do prefer Cara to Kendall, modelling wise.

I agree. I think the camera likes Kendall but it is always the same expression. I think she has two. But the camera loves Cara and she has so many different looks.

I don’t like what the shoes are doing to her knees. Either they’re too tight and the blood supply is restricted or her knees are always that colour and the shoe draws attention to it.

I think she looks gorgeous! I think Balmain looks great on thin women. I like the braid as an idea, but it seems out of place here. I’d like it better if the rest of her hair matched its severity. Like, if she had smoothed her hair and pulled it back.

Kitten – I suspect she avoids smiling because she doesn’t want her nose to pull wide. Neither she nor her younger sister ever seem to smile in photographs anymore, and I certainly think it has to do with not making their nose jobs TOO obvious.
She’s learned from Kim that smiling causes wrinkles – so no, no smiling.

Agreed. “Small breasted” is much less offensive than “super flat chested.” And when it’s pointed out like its some kind of flaw, like it is here, it *is* rude.
I’d take flat chested as a compliment, I think clothes sit so much better on ladies with small boobs. Cara looks amazing and actually I like Kendall’s look too, she has the legs to pull off those boots.
