HBO releases new ‘Game of Thrones’ trailer, plus new clips: OMG or meh?

Oh, Game of Thrones… I will never be able to quit you. HBO released the second full trailer yesterday and there’s some never-before-seen footage. Allegedly, the two full-length trailers we’ve seen are mostly using footage from the first two hours of Season 6, which means… a lot of sh-t is going to go down this season, and they’re packing a lot of stuff into each episode. Hopefully. That’s been a consistent complaint from every season, that it takes too long for the season to really ramp up, and that nothing much happens in the first few episodes. But hopefully not for this season. Here’s the latest trailer:

I love Drogon’s long shadow. I love Jamie Lannister talking in rhymes. I even love Ayra getting her ass handed to her by the Faceless Man. Is Dany a sex slave? And if Ramsey Bolton doesn’t die this season, I will go to the set and kill him myself.

EW had a write-up of the premiere on Sunday, only they’re being required to tread lightly and not give away any spoilers. The first episode is called “The Red Woman” and it’s apparently pretty shocking, and people will be surprised by the turn of events in the very first episode. The first episode spends “a lot of time at Castle Black.” Hopefully with Davos and Ghost joining forces to kick some Night’s Watch ass.

And in addition to all of that, EW released exclusive clips from the first episode.

OMG all the way! That trailer was amazing. I must’ve watched it 50 times so far.

It’s strange, because I have many issues with this show, but it’s so damn addicting. And now that there is no book to compare this season to, I am so excited. This is the first time I have no idea what is happening. Plus, more white walkers!!!

    • LadyMTL says:

My thoughts exactly, I’m super excited because this is the first season where I have no clue what’s happening, because the book isn’t out yet. I’m practically frothing with anticipation, lol.

      Dragons for everyone!

      • Janet R says:

        At least for Tyrion dammit!

      • Becks says:

        +1
The suspense is killing me! I read the books and knew what would happen. ….but now, it’s like we’re all in the dark. What will happen?!!
I cannot wait. Only 12 more sleeps!

    HODOR!

  3. QQ says:

    *autotuned* HOOOOOOMMMAAGGAWWDDD

    • Abbott says:

I’m water dancing in my office chair.

      • Lizzie McGuire says:

My coworker came in to my office, saw my face & said who died. I said hopefully not Podrick, but with game of thrones you never know. She just rolled her eyes & left. She doesn’t understand my worries for Podrick & co. #wheresGendry

      • Abbott says:

I’m trying to wrap my head around why someone would want to hurt Pod.

      • Lizzie McGuire says:

I’m losing my mind, Abbott. Who would?! I saw something in BuzzFeed about their guess of who might die this season. Some of them seem way off but Podrick is there & now that scene. HBO just keeps torturing my soul.

    • Jenns says:

I think that might be Bronn grabbing Pod by the neck as a joke.

  4. Kaiser says:

I hope at the end of the day, Ghost is sitting on the Iron Throne.

  5. Lizzie McGuire says:

Okay okay okay, mmm PODRICK! Do not hurt him! Also Sansa is alive…that’s good. I’m worried about Dany a lot. Main concerns: Podrick, Brienne, Dany, & Jon Snow (or whatever he’s calling himself these days). Also Davos looks like he’s taking a big important part in this season, so far in the trailers his scenes have been quite interesting.

  6. Jenns says:

Oh, and “I drink and I know things” is my new life motto.

  7. Aussie girl says:

‘And if Ramsey Bolton doesn’t die this season, I will go to the set and kill him myself’.
Ha!!! Now there is a go fund me page I would happily set up and contribute to.

    • Jenns says:

I do not think Ramsey will die this season.

I do think Roose and Walda will die from Ramsey murdering them both.

      • Lizzie McGuire says:

Same I don’t think Ramsey will die, I mean I want him to die but he won’t. Ramsey will murder anyone who doesn’t agree with him or just anyone in general.

      • Jenns says:

Also, Ramsey’s death needs to be one where he experiences real terror and fear. If he is killed by a sword on the battlefield, that will be a big letdown(see Stannis’s death).

However, if he’s hunted down by the army of the dead and has his heart slowly ripped out by Night’s King, that would be pretty epic.

    • isabelle says:

Hope its Sansa. Please GOT gods make it happen!!!

  8. mom2two says:

Only care about Davos and I am just hoping for this season to be better than last season.

Davos on the Iron Throne please.

  9. Lilacflowers says:

    Tyrion visits Rhaegal and Viserion!
    Tyrion visits Rhaegal and Viserion!
    Set them free!

    • Lindy79 says:

YES! Drogon gets all the fun

    • Abbott says:

Can you imagine Tyrion emerging from the cave in slow motion and the dragons follow him out like doves in a John Woo movie?

    • isabelle says:

It is possible he is part Targaryen. His father repeatedly told him “you’re no son of mine”. If he is part Targaryen, maybe he can ride one of them!

      • Goodnight says:

World of Ice and Fire pretty much debunked that. His mother wasn’t in the same place as Aeyrs when she got pregnant with him. Tyrion’s whole arc about being just like his father would be meaningless if he weren’t Tywin’s son.

  10. tracking says:

I have forgotten the tall ginger’s name, but he makes three appearances here. Yum.

  11. fadumo says:

sad part is that in the books, roose is more feared than Ramsay. ramsay probably dies first in winds
