Anna Duggar might divorce Josh one year after their lives exploded in scandal

duggar2

While the Duggar family has shimmied their way back into American homes with their revamped reality show, Counting On, the family is not really “back” to where they once were. Scandal and controversy still linger following the revelations about Josh Duggar last year. Josh ended up spending about six months (or longer) in a churchy sex rehab and I guess we’re supposed to believe that he’s totally rehabilitated now! Sure. I find it heart-warming that advertisers are still leaving Counting On in droves, and I find it interesting that the younger Duggars are trying to claw their way into reality-stardom by any means necessary.

Anyway, this is about Josh and his wife Anna. Anna didn’t leave Josh when all of the revelations came out last year, revelations about his molestation of multiple children, revelations about his infidelity, revelations about just how gross and perverted he is. She stuck by him, even visiting him in churchy sex rehab a few times. But now that he’s out, you would think that Anna would have gotten pregnant right away, right? Since that’s what they do. Since she isn’t pregnant, that might mean there’s hope that she’ll leave him?

She vowed her support for her cheating husband Josh Duggar back in August, as she spoke of their relationship during the season two premiere of TLC series Counting On. But In Touch has now reported that Anna Duggar, 28, has suddenly had enough, and plans to file divorce papers against the disgraced TV personality, 28.

‘She will see a lawyer in the next few weeks to have divorce papers drawn up so she can rid herself of Josh,’ an insider shared. The move would be a huge change of heart for devout Christian, who has stuck by him through every shocking scandal.

She admitted, during a confessional for Counting On, that she had clung to her faith because ‘I know if I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster.’

The final straw for Anna, who supported Josh through the molestation and cheating scandals, porn addiction, and stint in religious rehab, was reportedly when ‘new friends’ reached out to her to express concern over her position in the pious family. They thought that Anna, who had discussed her dedication to Josh on the family’s new series Counting On, was being used as a ‘puppet’ and a tool with which to try and improve their son’s image.

‘They were horrified that she’d been persuaded to talk on-camera about Josh, and then wheeled out with the children, looking like everything was fine,’ a source said. The ‘new friends’ must have made a huge impression on Anna, who had previously been unwavering in her support of her disgraced husband. ‘Hearing those outside views changed Anna incredibly,’ sources shared, adding that she ‘agrees and feels angry that Josh has treated her so appallingly for so long.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Yeah, I would love for this to be true. But I doubt it is true. I think the Duggar family really controls who has access to Anna to the point where she wouldn’t be allowed to have new friends. And she already stuck with Josh through the last year, why would “being wheeled out for the reality show” be some kind of dealbreaker? Still, hope against hope. Free Anna! Free Jana too. Poor Jana.

Also – Jill’s husband announced last month that he’s voting for Donald Trump. It makes me sick that all of these holier-than-thou evangelicals suddenly have no problem with a serial groper who is on his third marriage.

The fact that she’s not pregnant yet makes me more likely to believe this. She’s so young and can have a wonderful life away from him.

    • Enid says:

I came from a similar religious background. I could see her not being pregnant as something she could interpret as a sign from God to divorce him.

      • Cee says:

This reminds me of Henry VIII.

      • Lacia Can says:

I’ve read another version of this story that includes that very detail. She hasn’t gotten pregnant and thinks it’s a sign. I don’t care why she leaves, I just want her to leave! How she could stand to have him touch her, I don’t know. He’s so creepy.

      • Ursaline says:

If she thinks it’s a sign, then good for her. *If* admitting to molesting his own sisters, paying to sleeze all over the internet for poon, and being so totally nasty and abusive that a porn star had to complain, ALL THE WHILE earning a living as a lobbyist for some sort of family values and knocking her up with every other breath wasn’t a sign, then I sincerely hope that this is. Let’s all pray that it isn’t some new STD sent down as punishment for not putting up and shutting up.

  2. Emily says:

They have no problem being associated/family members with a serial groper, so why wouldn’t they vote for one? This family is full of hypocrites.

  3. MC2 says:

I hope she runs and then I hope she speaks out someday…..the sooner the better. The stories that girls has! I think she should bring them down.

  4. Who ARE These People? says:

They have no problem with him because of who he promises to put on the Supreme Court.

  5. minx says:

I would love this but I’ll believe it when I see it.
    Fingers crossed.

  6. Bichon says:

    That would be great.

  7. Dolphin7 says:

Why does TLC keep doing shows about this family? For such holy rollers they sure like the spotlight. I hope Anna gets away from him and can start a new life far, far away. I can’t stand this family and the dad has always given me such creepy vibes.

    • yuck says:

Lots and lots of holy rollers, aka televangelists, have not only sought the spotlight but used it to collect millions from the faithful to support what have turned out to be extremely decadent lifestyles. This is what Jim Bob aspires to. TV has afforded him a life he could never have earned on his own, and I think he’s gonna milk it til the cow keels over.

    • Sunshine Gold says:

      One word = ratings.

  8. Ursaline says:

Maybe she’s not pregnant yet because she has a problem with having that slimey turd’s nasty porn-star-abusing hands all over her. Maybe he lost his luster?

    • WileyKit says:

I hope that’s the case, because it would mean a huge break from the cult’s teachings. Wives aren’t allowed to refuse sex — they’re supposed to be joyously available to righteously fulfill their husbands’ desires at any time. I have no doubt that Anna caught an earful of ‘Satan built a fortress in Josh’s heart because you weren’t serving his needs well enough’ from her parents and inlaws when the scandal broke.

      • Pansy says:

So disgusting, implying it’s her fault for not providing something he needs. I hope beyond hope she gets the guts to leave him. I’m a Christian and it angers me so much when these people are called “devout Christians.” They’re not. They’re devout cult followers.
And as far as this, “I find it interesting that the younger Duggars are trying to claw their way into reality-stardom by any means necessary.”, I do too, but that’s literally the only means of income these kids have seen! Before the show they were passing second hand stuff down thru 7 kids and eating tons of cheap food and stuff. Poor people. They don’t have a chance as long as they’re devout followers.
And not one part of this is how I, as a Christian, believe God wants us to live.

    • Ursaline says:

Sadly, I know that there are cultish policies like that out there, but I’ve read the bible cover to cover and nowhere did it ever mention having to put up with a skeezebag who gets caught whoring all over the internet and anyone who will stand still while his wife makes baby after baby for him. I distinctly remember there being some kind of rule against adultery in there… And then there was that bedtime story about Sodom and Gomorrah being a problem… But maybe good ol’ Josh needed a refresher at his weird “churchy sex rehab” (love that part, Kaiser). Apparently he didn’t get the message the first time he got caught sex crime-ing on his own sisters. WHY ISN’T HE IN JAIL?

I hope that her “new friends” are giving her some good advice and moral support to take care of all of those children without having to be humiliated as a national laughingstock by a creep of a husband. That whole family gives me the chills.

Please, please, girl. Kick that nasty family to the curb and find some healthy place to recover without having all of that garbage in your head.

  9. Sayrah says:

This is very hard to believe. If she didn’t leave then I can’t believe she would leave now. I’m guessing someone in the Duggar camp planted this story to get people talking about them again. So maybe if we ignore it, they’ll all go away.

  10. Nancy says:

Hope it’s true but I doubt it. She couldn’t form a sentence without his approval. She still seems to be clinging to his family as opposed to her own, so I guess the TLC dollars don’t hurt. Messy situation all the way around.

  11. Radley says:

Girl, what’s taking you so long?? In general, I often wonder what is the limit for right wing America? If incestuous, pedophilic tendencies ain’t rock bottom, then for the love of your God, what is???? Seems like all sex crimes are somehow fair play. Incredible.

  12. K2 says:

Isn’t Donald Trump facing child rape charges? I mean, the Duggars are fairly clear that they don’t think that sort of behaviour is a big problem, so the support seems understandable, in context. Women and children have no value, set against a man’s wants.

  13. pinetree13 says:

KAISER DON’T TEASE ME LIKE THIS! I got so excited with the headline and then to read the only “evidence” is she hasn’t announced a pregnancy….weep, I so want her to leave him!! !!!

Also, I am not shocked AT ALL that the younger duggar kids crave being on TV. They received practically no parental attention growing up due to the fact that their parents simply had more children than they could possibly give attention to. There litterally aren’t enough hours in the day. This creates a hole in each child. A hole that CRAVES attention. I’ve noticed this pattern in my real life over and over. The ones whose parents ignored them are the ones constantly posting selfies, constantly trying to be the center of attention, constantly craving external validation.

Not too mention, it’s one of the only ways they can get enough income as uneducated People to support a gargantuan family. The whole cult is just sad. Also, I will never understand the republican = christian thing. Republicans are against refugees and immigrants. But wasn’t the whole point of Jesus that all humans are human? If all humans are human, then it’s our moral obligation to help those who are suffering. BUT if some humans are less human, than sure, protect your own resources by keeping others out. WHICH IS IT?!?!?! Wouldn’t a party based on Christian values be the party that supports refugees, that helps out in world crisises, that wants an extensive safety net for the poor and disadvantaged? If you want to have less money given to others (lower taxes) so you can keep more for yourself, that’s fine you are welcome to that view point, but I don’t see how you can call it Christian.

    • Ursaline says:

      pinetree13,
I feel your pain. Oh, how I wish some of these groups would lose their tax-exempt status and be called out for the pandering balls of farts that pass from their mouths in the ‘name of God’.

  14. lucy2 says:

I hope she leaves, but imagine it’s unlikely. I can’t imagine she or her children are safe in that situation.

If Trump were running as a Democrat, this family would be calling for his head on a spike. The hypocrisy is astounding.

  15. Konspiracytheory says:

I’ll believe it when it happens. The cult her family and the Duggars belong to deliberately stunts the development of children (especially girls) so that they are not equipped to escape as adults. Even if she does want to leave (which seems unlikely, given years of brainwashing), she really isn’t equipped to survive on her own in the real world, with four small children, no less.

  16. poppy says:

smh. there’s a reason why things shouldn’t be against the law, like divorce, living in “sin”, premarital sex, contraception, abortion.
sexual abuse, especially of minors, is the only law these “christians” seem to have a problem with.
and because of these “christians” we have to have laws for basics human rights like equality. because quiverful.
    smh.

girl run. jesus ain’t gonna judge a bitch that run from holier than thou creeper man and family. RUN.

As long as he’s a white male who will keep the white males in top dog status, they’re just fine with it.

    Bahahahahahaha!
