Remember last week, when one of our biggest concerns was whether Taylor Swift was going to make Drake wear an “I Heart T.S.” shirt? Good times. The last week of October, the speculation began about Drake and Tay-Tay. She made a special point of going to Drake’s birthday party, and they apparently seemed especially close and flirty. He even introduced Taylor to his mom, and posted the above Instagram, which is from Drake’s birthday party. Sources quickly said that Drake and Tay were actually just working together, not getting it on. But now sources are saying that Drake is trying to woo Taylor… but buying gifts for her cats, Olivia and Meredith.
Drake thinks Taylor Swift is the cat’s meow. Amidst rumors of both musical collaborations and romance, Rihanna’s former flame has reportedly been gifting Swift and her feline friends with some serious loot.
“Drake knows the way to Taylor’s heart and he’s going for it in a big way,” an insider recently told Hollywood Life. “He stopped in PetCo and went buck wild on cat accessories for Taylor. He went all out. He’s also preparing to send her this sick designer bag that she can put her cats in when she’s traveling.”
A source told E! News the pair, who have a combined 11 Grammy wins, 56 nominations and 7 chart-toppers between them, that “the music they have been wokring on is different,” but “very catchy. “Both are having a great time in the studio.”
And given Drake’s parade of presents for the “Wildest Dreams” singer, we don’t doubt it.
“It’s Drake being Drake and his way of letting her know that she’s good people and keeping her close to him,” the Hollywood Life source said. “He knows how much she adores her cats and Drake wants her to know that he adores her just as much.”
Yes, this is Hollywood Life by way of the NYDN, and yet… this sounds like something Drake would do, right? What do we know about Drake, for sure? That he’s a total cheeseball. That he’s the guy who will dance like a dork in a music video. That he’s always going to be a little bit extra. That he wears his heart on his sleeve. That he’s Mr. Sensitive. So of course I’ll believe that Drake buys cat toys for Olivia and Meredith. The quickest way to Tay’s heart is through her cats.

Astounded that anyone who knows anything about Taylor Swift would take this seriously. Does anyone believe she’s really a beguiling temptress and serial man slayer? Why do Taylor’s manager insist on making such publicity stunts? No one, absolutely no one believes that Drake and Taylor are interested in each other romantically. They are not each other’s type, although I think she should try a black man for a change.
No idea if they are dating but I disagree on the type thing. People like to try/experience different things in dating, both in looks and personalities. They are both young. Harry dated blonde girls short and tall his age and young and now a girl who is not at all blond and is older than him. Scarlett went from that hot josh guy to Reynolds who seems nice but not hot to me, to Sean penn. k stew has a varied history too. i could go on. English men have been disappointing to Tay perhaps?
I want that to be the way all men woo me from now on. I want a constant stream of gifts for Daisy, Elektra and Snickers (although Snickers will just steal them all eventually.)
It will be interesting to see how this turns out since both of them adopt the personality of whoever they are dating at the time.
