I’ve never really been a ride-or-die fan of Anna Faris and Chris Pratt as a couple. I’ve actually never been a true-blue fan of either separately. I’ve read some of Anna’s interviews where she seemed funny and “real” and interesting, but mostly I just kind of find her sad these days. I think she was more famous than Pratt when they got married, and now he’s this big movie star and she’s supposed to play the Rita Wilson role, and I don’t think she’s comfortable with that. Plus, I believe some (but not all) of the rumors and blind items about them. I think Chris and Anna’s marriage isn’t all that. I think they love each other and they adore their son but they’re one of those couples which… I don’t know, I guess I just wouldn’t be surprised if they announced their split tomorrow, you know? Their vibe is not one of happiness, despite the happy-couple act they performed on the red carpet of the Passengers premiere.
Speaking of the premiere, Anna told E! News that Chris had already given her a Christmas present – he upgraded her engagement ring. She told E!: “He just got me this ring. I know. Like two days ago. I look [at it] and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe it either!’ He’s an incredibly romantic man and I’m very, very lucky.” Chris explained what Anna had gotten him for Christmas too: “She got me a tractor, so we’re kind of even!” You can see a half-decent shot of her huge new ring in this video.
It’s beautiful. And huge. E! described it as a “diamond,” but Anna doesn’t say that and I’m not so sure? Maybe it was just the light or the reflection off her dress, but it looks like a colored stone to me? It looks like a pale amethyst to me, but it could be a pink diamond. But if Pratt bought her a pink diamond that big, he probably shelled out mid-seven figures for it. And her original engagement ring was a decent size and cut too! Perfectly pretty. Of course, jewelry is always nice, and who would say no to a huge new sparkly ring? Chris and Anna sure want you to believe that they’re totally fine. But did her face say “we’re totally fine” in that interview? Does Chris’s face say “we’re totally fine” in these photos?

I think something along those lines. She mentions his “outdoorsy-ness” on her podcast often, references Chris’ tractor sometimes too.
I actually think they’re both quite solid (relationship wise). I’m a regular listener of her podcast, and she talks about him often, and the difficulties that come with marriage, in a very open honest way, which i really respect. Their dynamic may not be everyones cup of tea, but it works for them, and that’s i think what matters.
(The dog thing is another story, of course)

You never are really at ease during a premiere
they look like my husband and i at parties. I’m a nervous, grimace smiling mess on the inside, and i kept watching him rub her arm up and down, and it was like the secret “youre doing great” or “you doing OK? ” rub my husband does to me. it just seemed really intimate and personal. she looks like she hates being threre as much as i would, and she’s grateful to have a funny chatty husband to hide behind.
she’s said on her podcast before that she’s basically agoraphobic and could go weeks without leaving her house if she wanted to, and prefers to stay home, so she probably hates premieres and red carpets especially.

I noticed the awkward movement and stance as well but I thought it just might be that she was cold. People are all around them wearing jackets, including someone who walked by in the background wearing a full on heavy coat. She’s standing there in a negligee dress. I took the arm rub as him trying to help her stay warm.
The pictures are awkward, but I always think it’s so bizarre when couples look totally lost in each other’s eyes on the red carpet in front of hundreds of people, Brad and Angelina, Bennifer, etc.
I agree. I would rather pretend to be all casual with my husband in case there was a continuos spotlight rather than show all my love and be very affectionate. It looks dump. Especially when none of us know if we will live happily ever after. Doing an interview on the red carpet like this especially with all those questions about Jennifer and testing how well he knows her and Jen him is rather awkward. Imagine you are walking down the street with your love and bump into someone you know. Do you go extra mile to show how much you love each other and how happy you are in your marriage.? And then imagine there also is a camera filming you. I would want to keep my most intimate things private.

I don’t know Kaiser. They looked fine to me in the video. She looked like she was freezing her ass off and uncomfortable. The intermittent arm rubs are the thing that make me think they’re fine. Like he wants to pull her in to warm her up, but he knows she’s supposed to show off the dress, so he just rubs her arm occasionally. The pictures could just be someone yelling something rude at them.
I recently heard (not from a tabloid or blog) that their marriage is not at all what they try to make it appear. You called it on this one, Kaiser.
There is some cheating rumors. I tend to associate buying a bigger ring amongst celebrity men as a guilt gift for cheating. That’s just my opinion.

This isn’t news though? There have been cheating rumors for YEARS. People just ignored them because they’re married to this idea of Pratt as a benign, lovable teddy bear type.
Anna is grimacing in that screengrab for the video. I’m starting to think she’s being held against her will. Maybe that little dog that was found wandering the streets had a “HELP ME” message in his collar and he got lost in delivering it. Between that grimace and painfully incoherent Anna on “How Did This Get Made” and I’m wondering what’s up with her brainspace.

Pfft, I’ve caught my husband opening his eyes to look at something before and I do the same. It’s rarely some other person to bone (but sometimes it is, I guess).

And I always liked them both separately and as a couple, but their treatment of animals really put me off.
I would rather get a tractor than a ring this big. It’s too expensive, tacky looking and I’d be afraid to wear it around.

Not sure what blind items you are talking about but they seem very happy together on Anna’s podcast. Anna was just named to a bunch of “best” lists for the year for her podcast so I’m not sure you are giving her enough credit. I think she’s pretty secure and happy and she’s open and honest on the podcast when she’s not.

I’m sure the ring will get much more love and adoration than the dog they abandoned did. I did read the dog has a new home, hopefully where it will be as coveted as much as a ring and tractor. Wow.
I like her much more in this interview than in her podcast. I’ve listened to her podcast (or tried to) several times and she just talks over whoever she’s interviewing and derails the conversation for minutes at a time, and always to something about herself. She’s also got a fake baby voice, that probably worked for her in her 20’s, but now that she’s mid-to-late 30’s, she needs to let it go. My total armchair take, again just from feeling like I’m getting to know her through the podcasts, is she’s really struggling with getting older and having a newly successful, increasingly attractive husband. And I feel for her, that’s got to do a lot to the self-esteem. But, I also think she just needs to grow up and come to terms with the fact that she’s not 25 anymore and the way she acts is no longer “cute.”
He’s got quite cold eyes I think, don’t like the pics of him looking away while kissing her. I don’t know much about them, but they look awkward to me. A friend of mine worked with her recently (just for a few days) but said she’s absolutely lovely and very professional. I just get douche arrogant vibes from him unfortunately!

Honestly, I think she’s a very sweet girl but neither of them seem all that bright. Use to love me some Parks and Rec Pratt but sadly, those days are gone. Hope they last.
He seems to embrace his faith, so I hope that extends to adultery and they’re fine. Not that it’s stopped other people, but I always gave him points for seemingly keeping it real. Her also. They just seem down to earth and normal, not Hollywood types.
