Star: Blue Ivy Carter has dressing room full of toys during her parents’ tour

Beyonce once described Blue Ivy as her “road dog.” That was when Blue was just a baby, but apparently Blue has always been good on the road. Beyonce and Jay-Z take the child everywhere, to museums and gallery openings to charity fundraisers and concerts. The child sits front row at the Grammys. She’s been going on her parents’ tours since she was a baby, and now at the age of 6, she’s old enough to stand in the audience, in a group of adults and other kids and actually watch her parents’ concerts. I mean, I’m absolutely positive that Blue’s section is VIP AF. But she’s still among the Beyhive peasants, and those peasants film her reactions to her parents sometimes. Like this amazing moment when, in the middle of her parents’ concert, the video of Bey and Jay in bed came on the screen:

Or how about this, when Beyonce tried to dedicate a song to Blue and Blue was super-embarrassed for her uncool mom:

So what do you think? I kind of think Blue Ivy is the tour manager and whatever she says goes in the Carter household. According to Star, Blue has her own set-up backstage too:

Sources working on the On the Run II tour reveal that Blue Ivy Carter, 6, may by pint-sized but her demands are anything but.

“Blue had exact replicas made of her mom’s costumes so she could wear them too,” tattles a tipster. “Her dressing room is stocked full of Barbies and Peppa Pig toys. Plus she has a tea set with real china dolls and a playhouse that looks just like her mansion in LA.”

But the little princess needs more than just Lemonade to snack on! A source tells Star: “Blue has a chef make thick-crust pizza with pineapples served on pink and purple plates, and chocolate-marshmallow gelato – not too frozen, because that bothers her gums. Beyonce and Jay-Z know it’s over the top, but touring is stressful for a kid and they figured if she has her creature comforts, she’s less likely to melt down on the road!”

I think it just makes sense for Beyonce and Jay-Z – who have more money than they know what to do with – to just let Blue have her own space and her own toys and her own things around her at all time. I also bet that the chef makes Blue whatever food she wants. Now, all that being said, I think Blue is probably pretty easy-going about traveling at this point and I doubt it’s this involved. She’s been doing traveling and touring all her life, and she seems like a well-adjusted and funny little girl.

Little one seems full of personality. Cute baby girl.

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

She is adorable. I don’t buy that she is spoiled just because she has a play room on tour. Why wouldn’t she have her toys along when traveling the world with her mom and dad?

Love the clip of her being grossed out by her parents.

    • norah says:

she is the ugliest kid i have ever seen tbh. looks like jay z

      • Fran says:

        Dude, don’t be a d*ck.

      • otaku fairy says:

….most likely coming from a chick who’s approaching 300 pounds and smells like Water Grill, but tells herself the reason why she couldn’t get laid in college or high school is because she was too much of a ‘lady’, and has voted republican every year since graduation to get back at her classmates.

      • Sojaschnitzel says:

        What Fran said.

  2. Patricia says:

This article is doing THE MOST. I mean what they are saying is Blue travels with toys, as all children probably would. And yes I bet the toys are kind of special because of her parents wealth.
Also Blue has favorite foods and likes her foods certain ways… as all children do! I sometimes cater to my little son’s desire for his favorite food made just the way he likes, too.
I don’t know… it just seems like it’s trying to make her sound like some spoiled child when really it seems like she’s just a child who travels a lot with her parents and therefore has a traveling playroom.

    • Peeking in says:

Did you finish the article? Because it says right there, that It’s ok to give Blue her comforts and that she seems like a well adjusted funny girl. I saw no reference to being spoiled nor is it really implied, just informing us about little Blue’s posh life.

      • Skylark says:

I think Patricia was referring to the Star Mag extract, not the commentry around it.

That little vid of her cringing in horror at her naked parents is hilarious!

    • lucy2 says:

Considering it starts off by saying they are her “demands”, I tend to agree with Patricia.

    • Louise177 says:

Star is really over the top. They’re really trying to make it sound like Blue is a spoiled brat. The reality is that most kids who travel with their parents have their own playroom. Blue isn’t special but the article is trying to make the family look bad and out of touch.

  3. Babs says:

Aw, I can’t believe Blue is 6 already. Time flies…

  4. Starryfish says:

Child has toys to keep her occupied while parents work… News at 11.

  5. Alexandria says:

    Beautiful child.

  6. Lala says:

That little girl has an old soul…and no appetite for nonsense! Reminds me of me…when I was a little girl!!!!

  7. JustJen says:

All of this sounds lovely, but what about friends? Time will tell. I’m curious to see what kind of adult she evolves into.

    • Mo' Comments Mo' Problems says:

Some of Blue’s friends were with her at the concert. There were a bunch of kids that attended the London show lolol.

  8. Veronica S. says:

Honestly, a dressing room full of toys sounds pretty accurate. We’ve got three in our house, and their toys compiled could probably fill up two rooms, and that’s AFTER we did a spring cleaning a few weeks ago and got rid of a bunch of stuff.

    • Lady D says:

I discovered I had to be more than ruthless two months ago when I went through my clothes. I’m single and I had 3 closets and two dressers on the go. I tried to donate clothes, it made no appreciable difference, so I got ruthless, and took 8 bags of clothes, belts, purses, shoes, boots, etc, to the thrift store. I can’t believe all the stuff I got rid off. I’m down to one closet, one dresser and a closet with 3 coats in it. The best part is, two months later, I honestly don’t miss a single article I donated.

  9. Chaine says:

Reacting just like any normal child would… Being on tour with a bunch of adults must be incredibly boring, though.

  10. amanda says:

What about their other kids? Don’t they have twins, or another baby or something?

    • Betsy says:

Too little? Maybe the twins are fussier – Blue sounds like she was pretty mellow from the get go. One of mine would have been fine traveling; the other two not so much as they were very schedule dependent.

    • Mo' Comments Mo' Problems says:

The twins are both 1 years old now (just had their birthdays recently!). Are the nannies taking care of them? Not grandma? 🙂

    • Veronica S. says:

Babies that young haven’t had all their immunizations yet, so there may be health considerations in the decision not to tote them around touring, too.

  11. Betsy says:

In the context of her parents’ careers, that seems about normal.

  12. Mo' Comments Mo' Problems says:

In the last video, I don’t think that’s how Blue Ivy reacted but it was funny and sortta endearing to see that no matter how cool her parents are…she still acts like a normal kid being “embarrassed” by them. 😆

  13. otaku fairy says:

As she’s getting older, she’s starting to look a little bit more like Beyoncé.

    • Olive says:

she looks like beyonce in the upper half of her face (she has her eyes and eyebrows) and jay in the lower half.

  14. Wamamax3 says:

My daughter was born just a few weeks after Blue and this is exactly what I would do for her if she had to be on the road with us consistently for any reason. She would also totally react the same way as Blue did in those videos! Blue seems to be relatively well-adjusted, given that she could literally have a toy store delivered to her at every new tour stop. I honestly believe that Jay and B are trying to give her the most ‘normal’ childhood possible, within the parameters of safety and constant travel. I know moms on my social media that drop massive amounts of money on matching clothes for themselves and their children, and they are by no means millionaires.

  15. hogtowngooner says:

She’s a child, so why wouldn’t she have a room of things to keep her occupied while her parents perform? If she’s gonna be dragged around on this tour there’s no problem with her having things that make some semblance of normality (well, in their world anyway lol).

I love how she reacts to her mom and the bed video. Even when your mom’s Beyonce, parents can still be soooo embarassing.

    • Lady D says:

Her reaction was hilarious. It made me laugh, but too much. I didn’t know how badly I needed to see a child acting normally until I watched this.

  16. ChillyWilly says:

Blue is 6 going on 16! She really cracks me up! I think it would suck being on the road for a kid so I don’t have a problem with them spoiling her a bit but the doll house version of the mansion and mini replicas of Mommy’s costumes is a little excessive.

  17. Natalia says:

I do not like the Carters at all, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with a 5 year old having a dressing room full of toys to keep her occupied in a grown up enviroment such as The Road.

  18. nikzilla says:

She is so adorable! I just love her so much.

  19. Shannon says:

My son has a room full of toys – omfg they’re not even JUST in his room, they spill out into the living room, my room, the kitchen … and I’m not even close to rich. What’s in my bank account right now might be enough to afford lunch for the Carters LOL I don’t see this as excessively spoiling her. I think she’ll be fine. Lots of people (optimistically, I’d even say most) people turn out okay with vastly different childhood experiences. I don’t have a personal chef, but I’ll usually consult my son about what he wants for dinner, etc. In a way, he lives in sort of a ‘grown-up’ world too. He’s 10, but my other son is 23 so he’s kind of any only child. He spends time with other kids but also with my friends and with just me. We’ll pick a place to go to lunch together, go grocery shopping together and consult, etc. It was like that with my older son too. I think Blue is being raised around a lot of adults and is very mature, and I also think that’s just fine.

  20. laura-j says:

My main take away is this a sound check because that is one empty stadium.

  21. shanaynay says:

Yeah I’m looking at all those empty seats though…

  22. Sandy says:

    Blue is adorable.

  23. DianeDiane says:

The first video where she kinda popped her head back up to see if it was safe yet and then noped out and ducked back down again is too cute and funny. And makes her seem like a pretty normal kid.

  24. hey-ya says:

    …shes 4 years old & living through tour hours…nice Im sure…
