Vanessa Hudgens wears Marchesa to the LA premiere of ‘Dog Days’: eh or fine?

Dog Days World Premiere

I had no idea what Dog Days was about as I first looked through these photos. Apparently it’s a sweet family film about how dogs are super-important to us and they’re part of our families? *side-eyes my a–hole kitten* Beyond that, this movie doesn’t seem to have much of a plot? It’s like a family film which is really just an ensemble of actors making vignettes about dogs. It’s very strange.

Anyway, the film stars Vanessa Hudgens, Nina Dobrev and Eva Longoria, so here are some photos from the LA premiere on Sunday. I think the most notable look is probably Vanessa Hudgens in Marchesa, because A) Vanessa wore a full-on gown with a long train to the premiere of her ensemble dog movie and B) who is really wearing Marchesa at this point? If I was a young actress, that’s a conversation I would not want to have, the conversation of “why do you still support Marchesa?” I mean, Scarlett Johansson was trying to make “Wearing Marchesa” happen again, but she’s the only one. (Plus, this dress is just ugly and cheap-looking.)

Nina Dobrev wore Valentino, and people think she was trying to look like a Dalmatian! I can see that. Y’all know I’m not big into polka dots, but I feel like this isn’t really about polka dots because the “dots” are so friggin’ big. I don’t like the long-sleeves and higher neckline (with a RUFFLE COLLAR) on her either, especially for a premiere in August.

Eva Longoria in Mario Dice. She just had a baby a few months ago! And she’s already walking a red carpet in a tuxedo dress and heels. That’s amazing.

Her polka dots is reading Holstein more than Dalmatian (too-friggin-big)

And I would sorta “get it” if Marchesa was actually a good label, all types of sins are forgiven for the sake of art, but the final look is RARELY (if ever) worth the controversy.

Watching Eva’s pregency felt like a lot longer then 9months. Seemed like she preggo for a year lol. She looks great in the tuxedo dress

All of these dresses are bad, the marchesa is the worst of the lot.

Well that’s one way to get more attention than your costars…

I don’t like any of these looks. Eva looks good after having her baby, but that is exactly the wrong shape for her to wear. Too boxy.

I absolutely love the enormous dots and it’s perfect for the occasion. Eva chose well to show off the good parts and camouflage the post-baby parts. The Marchesa is bad and I actually occasionally like her things- but that brand name has GOT to go. It’s an impossible mountain to climb.

I dont know that vanessa gets her pick of designers. if she is borrowing she probably has to take what she can get.
