Lindsay Lohan: Me Too victims are attention-seekers and they ‘look weak’

Lindsay Lohan poses for photos at her club "LOHAN" in Athens

Lindsay Lohan did some promotion for her new MTV series, Lohan Beach Club, last month. I was critical of her, because I know in my heart that Lindsay Lohan is still the cracked-out narcissist who would gladly and gleefully mow down a dozen pedestrians to get an inch of fame. Some commenters suggested that I should be nicer to Lindsay in this post-MeToo era, because many are convinced that Lindsay has been victimized too. I never said she wasn’t a victim – she had sh-tty parents, she’s been mistreated and abused by men, I’m sure. But that doesn’t negate the fact that Lindsay has also abused and hurt a lot of people too. She’s been given ample opportunity to get clean, to make amends, to go legit. She hasn’t. Because her biggest problem has always been that she’s a raging a–hole and a narcissist. And to all of the people eager to make her a victim, just know that she doesn’t see herself that way at all, and that she thinks the women coming out to tell their Me Too stories are WEAK. Some highlights from Lindsay’s Times interview:

She’s not a #MeToo victim: She said she doesn’t “really have anything to say” about the #MeToo movement which began late last year. “I can’t speak on something I don’t live, right? Look, I am very supportive of women. Everyone goes through their own experiences in their own ways,” Lohan said, claiming she didn’t condone “attention-seekers.”

How to deal with workplace abuse or harassment: “If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report. I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women. You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention. That is taking away from the fact that it happened.”

The Lohan Beach House: She referenced her business success abroad as a method of getting back at her ex-fiancé, Russian business mogul Egor Tarabasov, after the two had an infamous physical fight on that very beach in July 2016. “I had a fight with my ex on this very beach. What did I do? Nothing,” she said. “I just took over the beach. The best revenge is success, right?”

On faith: She doesn’t “subscribe to any particular religion” but that she does “believe there is a higher power than us.” After getting bitten by a snake and contracting a debilitating virus that left her hospitalized for weeks in 2014, Lohan says she reached out to a trusted source for guidance. “I called my shaman and she told me that the snake bit was actually a blessing,” she said, adding, “Yes, I have two shamans.”

She wants to adopt a child: “Probably from Russia. I want a little blonde Russian boy.”

[From People]

Yep. This is just a reminder – perhaps we do need an annual reminder – that Lindsay is a jackass. Stop defending her. This is the same woman who defended Harvey Weinstein last year, posting a video saying: “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. He’s never harmed me or did anything to me. We’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop. I think it’s wrong. So, stand up.” You know why she defended Harvey Weinstein? You know why she calls abuse and harassment victims “attention-seekers”? Because Lindsay identifies with abusers. She identifies with people who hurt and victimize other people.

Oh, so what does that make LL? She’s an attention seeker as well. What a loser! I’m sorry her stupid show should be cancelled before it even airs for her stupid/ignorant comment about the Me Too Victims.

I don’t believe she’s a victim of anything, that is, except for being a vapid moron.

    • Char says:

LL is trying to literally suck on some big studio dude to get that Oscar…I have absolutely zero sympathy for that piece of shit.

    • Dtab says:

Seriously like, my eyes couldn’t role far back enough in my head when I read this article.

      LiLo needs to GTFO

    • BlueSky says:

Is this what her “benefactors” tell her?

  2. Laur says:

Oh gosh this woman… The only kind thing I can say is that maybe she’s not yet in a place where she can acknowledge that she has been a victim and that’s contributed to her comments here… But that’s me being generous.

Also this interview is generally just a mess. Shamans? Blue eyed Russian boys? Geez.

    • Aoife says:

That is sooo shady, specifically wanting to adopt a blonde Russian boy, as if she’s picking out a puppy at the pet store. Ugh.

      • LeaTheFrench says:

That really rubbed me the wrong way, too. I guess “boy” and “toy ” have too many letters in common, she can’t make the difference?

      • Christin says:

Gotta think about those pap strolls with her latest accessory. Seriously, why else be so specific?

    • lucy2 says:

I think you’re probably right, and I imagine a lot of her behavior and substance abuse issues are related to her trying to block it out, because I don’t even want to imagine what happened to her growing up, and what she’s been doing.
But she’s also an asshole. Definitely. And simply saying all this for the attention, because she hasn’t changed.

    • Betsy says:

I think that’s pretty much the case. I find her repugnant, but also sad, which isn’t a defense of her so much as a cry in the storm. For all the women and men who are in a place to tell their #metoo stories, how many more are not. Granted, Lindsay is only unable to for reasons of her own choosing, but it takes everyone some time.

I guess I’m not thinking so much of her as I am of those victims who can’t speak out. She depresses me for that reason. Her parents anger me for their alleged selling of their daughter. The whole thing just makes me ill.

    • Original T.C. says:

She’s saying this just for attention and to get headlines. Same as when she said Jennifer Lawrence only gets jobs because of the casting couch. Best to ignore her vitriol.

      • Veronica S. says:

You’re going to have to do better than the word of two D-listers who are infamous for slinging dirt to get attention to convince me that J. Law was prostituting herself for roles.

    • lisa says:

Oprah tried to help Lindsay Lohan. Oprah has access to the best experts, therapists, coaches, you name it. And Lindsay blew them all off. There is nothing left for her. She will not change, will not accept and heal from her past, and will not improve. She is done evolving – it’s over.

  3. Mara says:

I wonder if she figures that there are probably a number of powerful men who are quietly annoyed by MeToo (and the fact they can’t go around groping who they want anymore) and this is her way to get in their good books.

    • Neelyo says:

Definitely. i thought that the whole support of Weinstein stemmed from her courting him for when he made a comeback.

    • jwoolman says:

Mara – yes, she is definitely looking ahead to get into the good graces of men who want to hear what she just said. She is signaling that she will always keep their secrets and will never tell.

She doesn’t think of herself as a victim because she has made it all into a business transaction. As long as she gets paid in cash or pricey gifts or free housing/expenses, the guys can do whatever they want. This isn’t really what the MeToo experience has been, those are women dealing with unwanted situations. So of course she doesn’t understand it. The girl isn’t too deep.

At least she feels that she is in control now, unlike when she was a child living with her dipstick parents. I hope she’s right about that and is more careful than she appears.

    • hunter says:

      ^^^^ This. 100%

  4. Erinn says:

The only nice(ish) things I can muster about this cockroach of a human being is the following:

    a) thank god she went back to dark red hair. Her hair has looked like absolute trash until this switch (still not amazing).

    b) she’s so pathetic that she’s not even worth the energy spent on ranting about her. Honestly. Not at all worth anyone’s time because she is a human cockroach.

    • Naomi11 says:

      @Erinn:

“Human cockroach”….. Oh, I love it!

      • Erinn says:

Lol, it’s the ‘nicest’ word choice that had popped into my head. There were certainly alternatives.

    • Christin says:

To have had talent as a child, she certainly blew it all up. Being clueless is one thing, but she seems to lack basic empathy, too.

      • Erinn says:

I mean, given her parents. It’s not completely surprising that she has some major issues regarding empathy/common sense. But she’s exceptionally bad at it even still.

  5. Swackd says:

OMG – I don’t know what’s worse, her not seeing that she has been abused and probably still is or she’s defending these a##holes who abuse – or both. She really needs some help and these shaman are NOT helping her at all.

    • Guest says:

Maybe she doesn’t think of it as abuse. Maybe she just thinks it’s normal…..she may not know any different

    • Raina says:

I think she’s trying to get in good with the “guys club” like; wink, wink, I get it, I’m a cool girl, please let me sukk your d**k for a job now.
She doesn’t believe or NOT believe what she’s saying…she is so far gone that she’s just throwing crap out there bouncing from one pretend identity to another. In another world, she is that angry old lady on the back of a bus rage mumbling to herself. Actually, I think she’s lonely and completely lost touch with reality. It’s sad, in that way.
But, yeah, she’s so full of shyte she needs to be flushed.

      • Q T Hush says:

        Yes Raina👍
You have described LL’s existence perfectly in your comment. LOL about the “old lady at the back of the bus”… very well written👏🏼

      • Raina says:

P.s. I think I’ve figured out what happened to Baby Jane.
        Man, she’d rock that role.

  6. grabbyhands says:

Lohan said, claiming she didn’t condone “attention-seekers.”

That is RICH considering she’s doing all this to bring attention to her new show, which I still can’t believe someone gave the green light to.

I used to feel sorry for her, but all she’s done her entire adult life is blame everyone around her for her shitty decisions. Oh, and sucking up to and defending rapists and dictators.

    Trash.

  7. Jay says:

She definitely sounds like the victim of some horrible stuff here, and in denial. Victims don’t have to be perfect. A jerk victim is no less a victim. I think the reason she’s saying this dumb harmful crap is bc she identifies with abusers as a lot of abuse victims do. A kid who sees mom getting beaten up every day by dad for example starts identifying with dad because they wrongly think that’s a defense mechanism – if I’m like the strong parent I can’t get hit, if I am like the weak one I will get beaten too. It’s sick and horrible but it happens. She’s saying horrible things but I still see victimhood here.

  8. Neelyo says:

This interview is going to be very ironic when Lohan Beach House is shut down as a sex trafficking front.

Lohan has not matured past sixteen. No responsibility for anything, casual lies, delusions of grandeur. I wonder if someone like her ever has a moment of self -awareness because she’s never shown in it public. Still the same unrepentant brat.

She better hope there’s someone to support her when she finally remembers her MeToo past because I have no doubt she has one.

    • Profiterole says:

Kind of an illustration of the saying “you’re emotionally blocked at the age you were when you peaked”

  9. Patricia says:

A friend of mine had a WHOLE PROBLEM when the me-too movement began. She was in her feelings for the poor poor accused men. She’s also married to a white man who is THE MOST victimized little baby on the planet and needs everyone to know that being a big, healthy, educated, straight white man is realllly hard, you guyz.
It was about two months later that I ended that friendship, but I felt it was over as soon as she spoke against the me-too movement. What does any woman have to lose when women speak about their abuse? When women feel supported to speak about it? When men who have been perpetuating abuse in the dark are brought to light to pay for their crimes? Why would any woman be against that?!
I think it’s like you said: they identity more with abusive men or poor poor little misunderstood men than they do with women.

    • Doc says:

I ended quite a few female and male friendships on account of their attitude towards the movement. I just don’t have time or energy in my life to try understand the ignorance of the people I get to choose to be in my life. So bye 👋🏻

    • Otaku fairy... says:

Exactly. Defending abuse or attacking the women calling it out doesn’t make you a ‘Strong Woman “, Lindsay.

  10. Mia4s says:

I have zero sympathy for this trash. The minute you start attacking victims (rape victims too I might add, she’s made no distinction) I really don’t care what extenuating circumstances there are. I’m done. I wish her nothing but failure.

I imagine she has some Russian clients who could help her with a totally legit 🙄 adoption. All we can hope is her American citizenship precludes it. God, (to borrow from a post above) she is such a cockroach.

    • boredblond says:

I was thinking that her adopting a ‘blonde Russian boy’ would qualify her to be given an official day/dinner/honor from this WH. I’m amazed that anyone would continue to give her a platform..such a mess.

      • Kitten says:

Thanks for reminding me that she’s defended Trump before.

Lindsay Lohan is here to stick up for all the powerful, manipulative, misogynistic serial assaulter, y’all! Don’tcha know how badly they’re suffering?

Also, recall that when Trump went on Stern he said that he thought Lindsay was hot until he saw a close-up of her freckled chest. Take note, everyone: the fat, bloated orange guy with a dead ferret on his head thinks women shouldn’t have freckles.

        Ugh. I can’t stand her.

      • Christin says:

He criticizes freckles? Well, that is rich given how his face looks these days. A closeup on TV looks like something from a horror film. I can’t figure out what’s going on with his skin, seriously.

      • Jan90067 says:

It resembles a literal orange peel, esp. that nose *shudder*

    • ClaraBelle says:

The fact that she is long-time friends with Tiffany Trump certainly gives me pause. I’ve reserved judgement on TT ’cause we don’t know much about her true sympathies, but this friendship with loopy Lindsey seems to imply something about her.

      https://www.thecut.com/2018/07/tiffany-trump-lindsay-lohan-greece-drama.html

  11. sommolierlady says:

She’s a repulsive ahole. She looks good for 60.

    • Naomi11 says:

LMAO! Coffee just spilled out my nose from your comment, “She looks good for 60”. Thanks for the good laugh!

  12. Incredulous says:

Stop trying to make fetch happen.

  13. Heather says:

I bet she has one heck of a #MeToo story. And when it comes out, there will be…..crickets.

  14. Ruyana says:

If there is any truth to the rumors of the extreme sexual indignities she has been paid to endure no wonder she has no sympathy for anyone else. She has been given many more chances than most people could ever hope to get, yet she squanders them all eventually.

    • OriginalLala says:

oh, I haven’t heard the rumours, what are they?

    • Anname says:

Yes, that’s exactly it. She has thrown away so many chances, it’s hard to feel any sympathy for her. Not many people have access to all the help she has been offered over the years. If she wanted to change her life, she would have done so.

    • Christin says:

I’ve heard those, too, and cannot muster sympathy. She had it all, just a few years ago. Partying and a pursuing certain lifestyle seems to have been willing choices for her as an adult.

  15. Beth says:

Ignorant attitudes and comments about sexual abuse are why victims are hesitant about reporting what happened. Too many close minded people like Lohan make things difficult for victims

  16. Enn says:

Am I the only one who is surprised that she’s still alive? I really thought her liver would have given out by now.

  17. Lindy says:

Listening to the things she has to say… Just classic LL disaster. It’s almost like a time machine back to the mid-aughts. Maybe the silver lining is that we can all read the interview and pretend it’s still 2012ish? And that 2016 never happened?

  18. magnoliarose says:

I used to try to be compassionate about people like LL but the world is a different place for me now and I can’t with people like her anymore. Something about the election and metoo I guess. Along with being inundated with news about truly helpless victims has hardened me about people like her. I read her words and I think about Anabella Sciorra and Uma Thurman.
She has chosen to use her sad little platform to slam victims of rape and abuse. Her only purpose here is to ingratiate herself enough so that some misogynist abuser with clout will resurrect her dead career. That is who LL is. This is a woman who thought nothing of dragging her underage sister into her very dark world.
At a certain point, some victims cross the line and become predators. When that happens my concern transfers to THEIR victims. I am sure both her parents and their parents and going on back probably have stories of being victimized. If men like Harvey Weinstein or men who prey on children or rapists were speaking honestly, they probably have sad tales to tell too. I can acknowledge that and find them repulsive at the same time.

  19. Lala11_7 says:

She already says that she hates herself…you look at her life and the decisions she’s made (makes) and the things she says…and one sees that her actions quantifies her self-hate…

There’s no need for me to pile on with mines….

  20. Twiggys Eyeliner says:

I think LL is saying what a decent percentage of people think or have been programmed to believe.

I wrote a “MeToo” article for the newspaper in my area – detailing my sexual assault experience, and the steps I used to process what happened and move forward with my life. Up front, I knew I would receive a spectrum of feedback, and not all of it positive.

A lot of keyboard warriors weighed in saying that women make these things up, or “their poor nephew was accused of something by some heinous witch girl”, if all of these stories were true, why didn’t *these* women go to the police, etc.

However, a lot of women reached out with their own stories, and felt relief at having someone say they believed them or could empathize with their situation, or just listen to them. The LL’s of the world fall away when you find a group of supportive people who will stand by you.

I’ll just end this by saying: it’s very easy for people to dismiss the experiences of others. A lot of people are simply unable or unaware of viewing things from someone elses perspective. However, unfortunately, a lot of times their eyes aren’t open to the struggles, pains, experiences of others until something similar happens to them.

    • BrutalEthyl says:

I’m so sorry that happened to you, but glad you were able to process it and move forward. I think your last paragraph is so important. Everybody has different ways of viewing the same thing. I’ve thankfully never been assaulted, but I feel horrible for the women who were. At the same time, I don’t think it’s ever smart to just believe that a woman was assaulted because she said she was and has joined a movement. Every case should be looked at individually, and if there’s adequate evidence that there was an assault, then the asshole that did it should be held accountable.

Some of the commenters here who have cut people out of their lives because they didn’t believe in “the movement” or some such shit – I can only surmise that they’re intolerant people, not much better than the women who lie about sexual assault.

      • Veronica S. says:

Maybe they’re intolerant. Or maybe they cut them out because they don’t want that toxic shit in their life. People are responsible for taking care of themselves as much as others. At some point, you have to say “enough” and do what’s right for your own mental health.

Also, I need you to realize how ridiculous it is to compare committing an actual crime (lying about sexual assault) to making a personal choice to end a relationship over moral/ethical differences. And also how f*cking gross it is even to make that suggestion when most of the men who’ve been outed have had multiple accusers, much less the documentation and statistics backing how rare false accusations are in the first place.

      • Stella Alpina says:

BrutalEthyl , your comment started out reasonable and then your train of thought quickly DERAILED.

As Veronica stated, false accusations are truly rare. Out of the various statistics compiled, approximately 2-10% of the allegations turn out to be false. What happened to believing the words of a victim of crime until the evidence proves otherwise? There is nothing wrong with taking an accuser’s words seriously. You seem to be implying that we should always be skeptical first.

This has been said many times: when someone says he or she has been robbed, they are believed and the police treat the situation as a crime to be investigated. Yet when someone says she (or sometimes he) has been raped or sexually assaulted, we should look at that person with doubt because a small percentage of people have made false accusations in the past? A small minority cancels out the majority who are telling the truth? That makes no sense.

I see no positive personal benefit to the rape victim who speaks out. Apart from hoping that their heinous attempt to smear someone else’s reputation works, even the false accuser has little to gain. What’s been shown many times is that victims who go public get a lot of backlash and scorn for telling the truth. Excuses are made on behalf of the accused. The accuser is not believed. Her sanity is questioned. Her sexual history is scrutinized. She’s harassed by friends and family of the accused. She’s told she must have done something to encourage her victimization. That’s like telling a robbery victim, “Well, if you hadn’t been wearing such an expensive watch/driving a fancy car/living in a lovely home, maybe this would not have happened.” Say what?

People who don’t believe in the movement are people I don’t want to know. They have a problem with others speaking out about crimes they experienced? They don’t want the perpetrators to be prosecuted for criminal behavior? So, they’re okay with victims suffering in silence. They prefer that rapists get away with it and are free to victimize others. That’s what it sounds like to me if you have a problem with Me Too.

Your last sentence is the worst conflation I have read in a long while.

      • Doc says:

Thank you, Stella alpina. Every word you wrote is on point. 👏🏻

  21. Rando says:

I’m not a Lohan apologist but this is someone who is so deep in internalized misogyny from being victimized constantly. This is an attempt to align with the abusers but it won’t protect her. I hope she finds healing at some point in her emotionally exhausting life.

    • Rando says:

But she is absolutely using this for professional exposure so I’m not making excuses for her. She is deeply misaligned.

    • jwoolman says:

You have to remember how many brain cells she has fried with alcohol and other drugs since her mid-teens or earlier. Since drugs cost $$$, I doubt that she always had such easy access to money that she didn’t start providing sexual services for pay or its equivalent quite early. She was on her own in LA as a young teen. So her attitude toward it was that it was just a job, and being pretty much a 24/7 druggie kept it all hazy. That makes quite a difference. It also explains why she thought nothing about dragging her much younger sister into it. Just helping her get established in the family business. The kid had been sent off to LA by the age of 15 to be Lindsay’s babysitter.

      • BrutalEthyl says:

Speaking of poor Ali, I wonder what’s become of her? They forced her into the lifestyle, made her get that horrible plastic surgery on her face, and then the last I heard they shipped her off somewhere in the middle east to be a “model” when she only has a face for radio since the plastic surgeon ruined it. Very sad.

  22. Case says:

And to think I used to root for her to make a comeback…lol bye.

  23. Leigh-Klein says:

Reading her statements, I’m not surprised at how many times *I* and *me* come up here. It’s always been all about her, and I see even more brain cells have been destroyed in the last few years. She’s sounding sillier and more deluded than ever. I’m gobsmacked that she can comment in such a way on Harvey Weinstein and the sheer number of women who justifiably spoke out against him. Sure, I call “rape!” every time I feel like getting some attention. I hope she and her show tank in short order. What an idiot.

  24. Other Renee says:

It scares me that somewhere there is a “little blonde Russian boy” who may become the adopted child of this crazed lunatic. If she flashes enough cash, that could happen. Talk about an innocent victim. Please don’t let that happen!!

  25. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

STFU, you irrelevant , vodka soaked- has been.

  26. minx says:

Oldest looking 32 year old on earth says what?

  27. smcollins says:

Wow, yeah…it’s long past due to just let go of this one. There really doesn’t seem to be a way back for her, a total lost cause. I know that’s harsh but that’s life. I used to have sympathy for her and had hoped she’d get the help she needs and turn her life around, but that ship sailed a long time ago. Not everyone can be saved.

  28. Cay says:

    Ideal Russian operative recruit

    • Alice says:

My thining exactly. She is so genuinely dangerous. She is a sociopath at best. She is unquestionably a victim of abuse. She is also just like her sadistic father. She and those two Markle assholes should start a reality show where they get rotten fruit thrown in their faces every time they say something cruel and shameful.

  29. Emilia says:

I’m never going to be “nice” in regards to this piece of crap. She’s a trash person who doesn’t deserve an ounce of sympathy.

  30. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

    She epitomizes attention seeker. Blech.

  31. Kathryn says:

Lindsay Lohan was on trajectory to have a different place in pop culture, but instead she’ll just be remembered as a narcissistic party girl. She says she loves to work, but her actions prove otherwise. Clear case of nothing is ever her fault, and that NY Times profile from The Canyons makes it even clearer.

  32. tealily says:

    “Yes, I have two shamans.”

  33. Veronica S. says:

Doing a great job of lining up the next buyer for her coke run, yeah?

    • Q T Hush says:

      Hi Veronica,
Spot on as usual. You think she’d get tired of watching the sun rise while doing her last line of coke after 20 or so years of being the perpetual party girl. She’s been used and abused for ever. If I was LL I’m not sure I’d want to face her reality either.

      • Veronica S. says:

Part of me is really sad to see somebody throw their life away like that, but honestly, she’s just past the point of help. People just can’t live their lives constantly in denial like that without everyone else accepting they really are just that morally bankrupt.

  34. SM says:

Yep. Totally crazy. Not even going to dignify it with commenting on anything particular she said. And Linsey of all people calling someone else out for attention is just laughable. Also I am not sure with this level of crazy any country, even Russia will give her a blond boy.

  35. RBC says:

Her talking about adopting a child is very disturbing. When she specifies a “ blond Russian boy” it almost sounds like she has started the process to adopt.
There have always been rumours Lindsay hangs around some shady characters to afford her lifestyle(drug habit?) maybe one of them will get her a child?
This is a story to watch

  36. Jordan says:

I find it weak to attack actual victims of sexual assault. It’s bravery and courage the victims, female and male, display with coming forward with their assaults. What an asshat.

  37. L84Tea says:

Go back to your black lagoon, Lindsay…

  38. Rachelina says:

    🖕🖕🖕

That’s all I’ve got for Lilo.

  39. RspbryChelly says:

Didn’t she suck Charlie Sheen for some green? If she isn’t on her back she’s on her knees. She doesn’t consider herself a victim bc she’s a “willing pass-around”. She isn’t someone who should comment about this.

  40. maggiegrace says:

    She is just disgusting.

  41. Bug says:

She looks like she is 45+. What the hell.

  42. themummy says:
