Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas made an appearance at a Bumble app launch

Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas at Bumble launch party

Here are some photos of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas in New Delhi, because I guess we haven’t gotten enough new photos of them in the past two weeks. Instead of quietly going on their honeymoon, they decided to attend the launch event for the Bumble app, which Priyanka is invested in, apparently. So… this appearance was sort of sponsored, in that Priyanka profits from Bumble becoming more widely known and used. I would expect nothing less from the sponcon extravaganza. According to YET ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE with People Magazine, Priyanka and Nick are headed off on a honeymoon somewhere, and they are thinking of babies:

Priyanka Chopra, 36, and Nick Jonas, 26, are looking forward to their private honeymoon “at some resort somewhere in the world,” the actress jokingly tells PEOPLE exclusively for this week’s cover story. The globe-trotting couple also has to decide where to call home. Despite their busy careers, the two are “determined to prioritize each other in everything we do,” says Jonas. “And make every day special whether together or apart.”

Thus far, the bride and groom have made a pact “to speak multiple times a day and try and not go more than two weeks without seeing each other,” Chopra adds. “Distance can be hard on any relationship, but it has actually made us that much closer.”

As for starting a family, the couple plan to take things as they come. “I always say, ‘Man proposes, God disposes.’ So I’m not taking any chances,” says Chopra. “We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen.”

For now, the memories of one incredible weekend are all they need. “Let us be married first for a while before we have to make all these big decisions,” says Jonas, laughing. “We’re in our honeymoon period right now and we will be for a very long time.”

[From People]

Oh, lord. It honestly just occurred to me – right at this very moment – that their honeymoon could be a sponcon extravaganza too. Remember Pippa Middleton’s honeymoon tour? Pri and Nick’s honeymoon could be like that, only a million times worse because of their additional sponsorships and their ability to court the international press. As for this interview.. they haven’t even decided where they’ll live??

I’m curious to know who paid for this lavish wedding. Obviously they did get some sponsors to pay. There’s no way those two have that much money.

    • HK9 says:

Actually, yes she does. I’m not sure about him, but she’s loaded.

    • Erinn says:

He made a LOT of money during the height of the Joe Bros. And he’s had his own career since that. But there was merch, movies, huge tours, etc. Everything was Jonas Brothers for a while, there.

    • NicNic says:

Your ignorance is showing – she is massively famous outside of the US and has more money than him.

      • Kerfuffle says:

Because Bollywood is famous for paying its actresses the same as actors? Not to mention, if both were truly that wealthy their wedding wouldn’t be sponsored. Period.

      • Carey says:

The big money for Bollywood stars is ads and promos, which is very lucrative.

    • me says:

Normally in Punjabi weddings the bride’s family pays for the entire wedding (very unfair). In this case, a lot of the wedding was sponsored. Also, you need to remember that things in India are not as expensive as they are in North America. A dollar goes a long way in India. The Rupee is worth very little. That’s why a lot of Indian girls who live outside of India will make a trip to India to purchase all their wedding outfits. It’s a lot cheaper.

      • Rdmum says:

Not really very accurate. Whilst the dollar is definitely worth more than the rupee. It’s grossly untrue to say that the rupee is worth nothing. Also – the hotel that the got married in is expensive no matter what currency you’re paying in.

    • Mia4s says:

They both have lots of money. Which made their Amazon gift registry even more tacky.

    • Jen says:

Actually, I think they do. That’s why I’m so confused by this-they’re hustling like they’re two D list reality stars trying to capitalize on their waning 15 minutes. They’re already wealthy and successful, they’re both famous-why all of this?

    • knotslaning says:

A quick google and her net worth is around 28 million and his is around 25 million.

  2. Sonia says:

They’ve literally only really been together for like 6 months. Nick was trying to get back with Olivia Culpo (also a former beauty pageant woman like Priyanka) earlier this summer and making out with random girls this spring. Of course they don’t know where they’re going to live.

    • Tibbles says:

Great comment. I had no idea how short a time they’ve been together.

    • shocked-and-appalled says:

Read the Vogue article. He’d been trying to get with her and they were friends for almost two years before they started dating.

      • Valois says:

They definitely knew each other before but I’d hardly call that a friendship. More like causal acquaintances.

  3. Lolly says:

If she is invested in this app, why wouldn’t she be at the launch? How is that weird? I like this couple, I think they’re cute.

  4. Aimee says:

It says her net worth is about 10 million. I know they both have a lot of money, way more than I’ll ever have, it just seemed like they probably didn’t pay full price for half of that wedding.

    • Carey says:

I don’t think the main purpose of the sponsorships was to pay for the wedding, it was to raise their profiles and position them for acting parts, albums, etc. And it’s working, they are getting huge PR play out of this.

    • knotslaning says:

I just read on yahoo finance that her net worth is closer to 28 million and his is close to 25.

  5. Tibbles says:

Her veil was 75 feet long. 75 feet!

I don’t know, he always has this smarmy look on his face. He creeps me out.

  6. Lizzie says:

ok – someone get these two some water. enough already….JFC

  7. Michael Griffin says:

She really shouldn’t wear heels when she is posing with him. She is going to hurt her back bending over so she doesn’t tower over him

  8. SV says:

You have to remember for Priyanka getting asked where they are going to live is a political answer in India. If they say LA or New York then they’ll say she’s completely sold out to America and Hollywood. If she says Mumbai and they don’t end up spending much time they’ll call her a hyprocite. And you don’t answer the question by saying that they’ll be hopping between their half dozen combined properties just like they have since they started dating either. She’s using this Bumble investment to advocate for gender equality in India, which will again eventually trigger another backlash. Priyanka like Meghan like Serena triggers people. That all are influential WOC now married to successful white men only triggers people more.

  9. Originaltessa says:

People seem concerned with how the wedding was paid for… To me it seems obvious that the reason they’re selling so much out and having so many sponsorships is to pay for it. They’re both millionaires, but they probably got several million to sell out to Vogue and People and who knows what else. That goes pretty far in India.

    • Kerfuffle says:

Magazine spreads don’t pay like that (and from what I remember, Vogue doesn’t pay) anymore. They would get something in the six figure range, because there isn’t a big return. Hence the multitude of sponsorships.

      • SV says:

The media reports indicated People paid 2.5 million for the exclusive weddings photos. The wedding photos received global attention covered even on regular news in many countries. And of course People can also get a return by licensing the photos to publications around the world.

      • Originaltessa says:

People still pays big for exclusive photos. And maybe Vogue doesn’t pay, but vendors that get featured in Vogue would surely consider a discount.

  10. BlueSky says:

Maybe Zillow and Rocket Mortgage will sponsor their home search 🙄

    • Chaine says:

Plus you know there will be a guest appearance on Million Dollar Listing or some similar show, followed by a housewarming party sponsored by Pottery Barn, after they have settled in for a week or two an Architectural Digest photo spread of their home, and then Priyanka will be off and running with a branded furnishing line for Rooms To Go.

  11. Carey says:

I think people are missing the point of all the endorsements associated with the wedding. It’s about building a public profile that they can leverage for future projects. I have a feeling that Priyanka may be looking to launch a lifestyle brand and all of the publicity around the wedding is a platform for her to do that. Also, I suspect a reality show is in the works, which is another form of promo (they won’t get paid much at all for appearing on a reality show but it sets them up for brand endorsements in the same way as the Kardashians).

  12. lamaga says:

I really don’t have any snark or vitriol to expend. They seem like two people who enjoy each other and had a massive wedding. Sorry, I’m too tired out by actual problems to be bothered about their spon-con relationship spectacles.

    • Millennial says:

I’m not super invested in them, but their wedding didn’t bother me a bit. It’s show business. Then people get mad when they put on a show? And maybe get some if it paid for? I admire the hustle, honestly. I’m over here enjoying the gorgeous wedding putfits and pictures.

  13. Pandy says:

If they live anywhere other than LA or NYC I’ll eat her 75 foot veil.

  14. Zabar says:

C’mon, we all know there will be at least 5 instagram pics of their sponsored honeymoon coming, taken by a professional photographer. Real or fake, we are talking about two celebrities that are getting a ton of attention for their relationship (that they would not be receiving otherwise).

  15. Dirk says:

He looks like a boy; his beard is still bumfluff.

  16. bobafelty says:

So so thirsty. It’s exactly like another posted said, this is behavior associated with D-list actors and reality stars, not big name hollywood and bollywood famous people. I think that’s why it feels so off to everyone.

  17. Kartell says:

Stop slouching to be the same height as your husband in pictures. Stand straight and drop the heels of you don’t want to appear taller

  18. OG Cleo says:

The worst part is that she invited Hindu nationalist nutjob Narendra Modi to her reception…
