In some ways, I’m still recovering from the Tiddlebanging. I know I bring it up all the time and I know it’s MY issue, not theirs. But it really was a glorious time to be alive, and to be a professional gossip. Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were SO extra and it was amazing. Just think, we might never see anything like that ever again – one of the biggest pop stars in the world going on a worldwide Love Tour with an internet-famous and popular actor. Still, there was “backlash” and Taylor “learned” from the Tiddlebanging experience. She learned that the public won’t buy it if she oversells it. So everything with Joe Alwyn has been very different. Sure, there were a few photo-ops and strolls. But the only thing that JoeTay has in common with Tiddles is the rumormongering about engagements. The “engagement” rumor is happening again:
Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift has had her fair share of heartache, but it seems like she has finally found The One: her boyfriend of almost two years, Joe Alwyn.
Although the Grammy winner, 28, has kept her romance with the British actor, 27, under wraps, she’s more serious about him than she’s ever been with anyone else — and he feels the same!
“Joe is very keen on proposing soon,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly in the new issue. “But he wants to make it unforgettable and extremely special.”
Whenever the epic moment comes, the “End Game” songstress will be ready. “He’s her dream guy,” the insider added to Us. “Taylor’s going to be over the moon.”
If it feels “too soon,” that’s because A) we didn’t know about their relationship for months when they first started, and B) they really can go weeks/months without making news. But they really have been together for two years. I’ve said before that I can see a lot of positives for JoeTay if they do get engaged – she’s clearly found someone who is happy to let her control the narrative around their relationship, and he’s been quietly benefiting from their relationship too, but he just hasn’t been in-your-face about it. Anyway, what do you think? A Christmas proposal? Or will he wait until Valentine’s Day 2019?
Also: an engagement would be a great way to change the subject after Taylor got snubbed so hard when the Grammy nominations came out.

She’s rich, so… lock it down, Joe.
I mean, she’s still benefiting from this relationship by telling her fans weird little tidbits about him. And saying that the album is about him (even when that makes little sense). She’s obviously gone about this relationship differently publicly, but she still can’t let go of old habits.
Taylor got the noms and wins for 1989 cos she worked the Grammy voters hard.
I think she’s saving her big push for her next album, the first on her new contract so she’s probably not that upset about the noms???
I thought delicate would get a record of the year nom though so that was a surprise.

I’m actually surprised it took so long.
I know Taylor is no longer country, but those were her original roots.
And in that world, if a woman isn’t married by 30 she’s practically defined as a shut-in!
I remember Carrie Underwood then describing herself as an ‘old maid’ at friggin 26.
In the guadian there is an article about how they use facial recognition at her concerts to pick out her stockers. Really interesting article. I think she really doesn’t care about the Grammys. I thought I read that she had the biggest grossing tour ever? And with this guy. I think her life is exactly where she wants it to be. But I could be wrong maybe she is devastated by no Grammy nom. I think no one really cares much about the nominations as they are political not really about how good your music is anymore. She is a real powerhouse in the music industry with her new contract.
Not really about how good the music is? I beg to differ. Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer was fantastic.
Literally the only things that keep me interested in her are the theories of her being in the closet and all the lesbians I have met and bonded with through her music.
I’ve become something of a Swiftie this year because 2018 Taylor has made me so proud with her political activism. If this dude makes her happy fantastic. I wish she would make more news though because she is fun to follow. There is going to be a Reputation tour movie on Netflix soon and I cannot wait!
Also, it is Taytay’s birthday today, so happy birthday to the snake queen!
Two things I would like to see:
1)How overboard Taylor will go to have a more extravagant wedding than Karlie Kloss
and
2) If Karlie will be invited to the wedding or be in the wedding party
He reminds me of Chad Michael Murray.
