  1. Skylark says:

“…as an easy way to save time and words.”

Right, cos the one-syllable ‘Cook’ would take up so much unnecessary time.

  2. Lady D says:

“an easy way to save time and words” I’m practically sitting here with my mouth open because there is just so much derision in me for those words, it has to spill out somehow. I now have a deep-seated understanding of the phrase, “I can’t” because I really can’t fathom how a brain has to work to come up with that statement.

  3. minx says:

He’s such a liar, he lied all weekend about not saying it. He probably saw news reports where they played the tape, so then he dreamed up this response. Crazy!

  4. Nancy says:

Stupid is as stupid does. Even his narcissistic daughter cracked up when he said it. It must be so exhausting to be him, the oldest ever United States…..President, gulp. **the gulp wasn’t for his age, it was for him being the “p” word**

  5. Kitten says:

I’m not defending the Orange Dotard but I actually kind of believe him. I heard the clip and to me it sounded like he was saying “Tim. Apple.” like “Tim (from) Apple”. So while I don’t think he actually believes that Tim Cook’s name is Tim Apple, I DO think that he struggles with elocution.

Additionally, he’s a remarkably stupid person.

I felt obligated to add that last part because my BF has a speech impediment and he often mixes up words or mispronounces them. He was mocked for that and called stupid etc when he was a kid. But my BF is brilliant, kind, loving and warm and NOTHING like that dickstain in the White House.

    • minx says:

It’s not the flub, it’s that he lied about saying Tim Cook Apple. Repeatedly.

      • Kitten says:

Oh I get it. But I mean, this is one lie out of how many? And really he’s told lies that are far more consequential than this sh*t. I’m actually rather surprised that he and others are still talking about it.

        *shrugs*

      • Deedee says:

@ Kitten. That’s the point. That the lies are pointless to begin with. Everybody flubs once in a while. He should have just ignored it. But he couldn’t because he’s pathological and couldn’t take that people were laughing. So he lied and said he did say Cook, but it was too soft to hear. Now he admits he didn’t say Cook because he’s on video so now he’s claiming it was trying to save time. Like he didn’t just give a 2hec20 minute crazy talk last week. And he’s blaming the media, again. This behavior is insane.

      • Kitten says:

No I disagree strongly that all his lies are pointless. His lying is a huge reason why he’s still in the White House. His lies are strategic and his lies WORK.

I was merely pointing out that–and please forgive my language–I don’t give a flying F*CK about his arbitrary lies. I don’t GAF that people think he doesn’t know Tim Cook’s name (he does but again, who cares) but I absolutely DO care about the fact that he lies to the American taxpayers about his policies. I care that he lies about saving Medicare, that he lies about tax cuts for the middle class and that he lies about a useless wall. I mean, I could go on but hopefully you get the larger point I’m making.

And while people here and in the media are focusing all their energy on some stupid arbitrary lie, the destruction continues.

      • Deedee says:

@ kitten. By saying his lies are pointless, I mean he even lies about things that aren’t worth lying about, not about taxes, etc. he can’t help himself. And that’s why it’s in the news. That he is a pathological liar. And this should e covered because otherwise it would be considered the new norm. And lies are destroying our country.

    • Deedee says:

No, there was no pause between Tim And Apple.

      • Kitten says:

        Oh ok you win.
I’m not sure if you people could have missed my point harder. Sigh.

      • Deedee says:

@ kitten. I didn’t miss your point. If he said “Tim. Apple.” There would have been a pause. He said “Tim Apple.” And it’s not the first time he has gotten name wrong. He called the city Paradise, “pleasure”. He called rick Perry, Jim Perry. He called Netanyahu “Betanyahu” . I forgot what he called the Appalachian trail. His neologisms are constant. He has dementia. It’s not an issue with elocution. Although he does have a problem with grammar and vocabulary.

And even though these lies are over things that don’t matter, they should be pointed out because he’s a pathological liar and if ignored, it will be considered the new norm. Even some of his base are getting tired of it. I do agree, however, that his more substantial lies should get more coverage and the Dems need to push against them more strongly. Obama should have sued his ass when trump said he was spying on him, for instance.

      • jan90067 says:

Deedee, he called it the Tennessee Trail. He’s a demented moron. And he’s too lazy (and egotisically stupid) to make the effort to actual *learn* from his mistakes.

        https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/394092-trump-misidentifies-appalachian-trail-as-tennessee-trail-while-trying

    • InsertNameHere says:

He also did the same thing to the CEO of Lockheed Martin, so methinks it’s how his staff gets him to remember who people are.

    • Pinetree13 says:

I also have a problem where I speak incorrectly or (more disturbing to me) I often say the exact same sentence twice and only realize after when I get weird looks. But I will just admit I misspoke and not try and claim I was doing it on purpose lol. His tweet today made me laugh out loud because there’s no way he was doing it to save time as he claims. I think this story highlights well his pathological inability to admit even the smallest mistake which is super scary.

Thanks though for sharing the story about your bf, made me feel better <3 as the actual misspeakding is not the issue it’s the stupid lying about it. But a lot of people just harp in the misspeaking part but there’s people like me who do that on the regular even though we are not dumb so I’m glad you commented that

  6. Incredulous says:

He was distracted by his shorter Stepford wife.

  7. Ref7 says:

It’s called word salad and it happens when someone has a cognitive disruption. Get some help, Bigly.

  8. adastraperaspera says:

Cheeto loves it when his ridiculous quips get attention, instead of his destructive policy actions.

  9. Q T Hush says:

I think he’s been called stupid his whole life and has learned to automatically lie to explain or excuse his stupidity.

    • Giddy says:

Anyone who has called him stupid has probably then had to deal with Bigly targeting them non-stop until he feels they have been properly shamed and embarrassed. This is not to say that he won’t target them again, because he will. He carries grudges forever.

      • North of Boston says:

That’s like the only thing he can hold in his pea brain, a stew of people who he imagines have wronged him.

  10. Veronica S. says:

I mean, people do that sort of thing all the time because human brains aren’t perfect, but like…children are dead and abused on his watch, so enjoy his less fatal stupidity when you can.

  11. Valerie says:

    To… save time? Lmao.

  12. BeanieBean says:

“…disparagingly all over this…”? Ugh. This moron. Who’s doing the actual work right now while he spends time on this?

  13. Sue Denim says:

Can you believe tho that this is where we are as a country? It’s like the film Idiocracy come to life…

    • mycomment says:

I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch it; because living it is horror enough. I just cannot bring myself to laugh at any of this; even a film mocking the reality.

      • Sue Denim says:

I totally agree, watched it about 7 years ago and it was sort of scary then but still farce, now, it feels like there’s still so much good in the world but the idiots, cruel ones at that, are in control. I’ve been leaning in hard to art hobbies, doing ballet almost daily – live piano, total focus, and balm for the soul. It just really is so hard to believe tho that this is where we are…

    • Nic919 says:

President Comancho (terry crews) was never as dumb as dump though.

  14. Snazzy says:

I ordinarily love everything to do with Idris, but I didn’t find him that great (please don’t hate me)
Looked amazing in that suit for the opening monologue though …

  15. I agree!! says:

Not a Trump fan, but given the way he talks, I can actually believe that he said ‘Tim, Apple’ and not ‘Tim Apple’.

    • april says:

Actually I give him the benefit of the doubt on this, and I agree with you.

    • minx says:

But over the weekend he kept lying that he said “Tim Cook Apple”—and he didn’t! And he only backed down when he probably saw the video where said only Tim Apple. If he hadn’t lied there wouldn’t have been a problem. So he had to concoct a story. He lies so much and so often he doesn’t know what is reality, and then he has to come up with half baked stories and excuses.

      • april says:

I didn’t know he changed his story. Pathological lying is a sign of extreme narcissism. Narcissistic people have such huge egos that they cannot admit any wrong.

  16. mycomment says:

and i’m watching sarah slanders lie that dotard ever said anything positive about Charlottesville/neo-nazis and that democrats hate jews… while lying about democrats not condemning rep omar for her (deeply misrepresented) comments about dual loyalties among congress.
she is as repulsive as dotard.. I hate these scumbags.

  17. Raina says:

On the Grandpa pic, i didn’t notice the hair as much at first because I was distracted by his breasts.

  18. sheilaj1 says:

It’s almost as if Trump believes he’s only an idiot if its revealed he’s an idiot. If no one reveals it he’s still the genius he tells the world he is. Pull back the curtain and he’s, ‘Donald Trump Towering Moron’. And he always will be.

  19. Scarlett says:

Agent Orange bigly dumb. Why he no think we know he not smart, I no know.

There, I cut syllables to save time on my post too, hate myself a little actually lol.
