It is quite stupid that they pulled OTR off the charts, though I will admit this controversy is the only reason I’d heard the song (they are not playing it where I live … yet).
Kirstjen Nielsen is one of those people who has the face she deserves.
The Halsey comment is pissing me off. She wasn’t considering sex work because she was hungry and starving, there are many soup kitchens and food banks she could have visited. She considered sex work to maintain a lifestyle that she wanted, period.

This. That was about as progressive as being pissed that some teen considered abortion or needed the morning after pill due to consensual sex rather than rape. Whose body is it anyway? So far, I fail to see any genuine good that female modesty/ purity culture has done for girls and women. All it has guaranteed is that toxic patriarchal entitlement won’t just be coming from religious y-chromosome-havers. I hate to be so cynical but does it seem like Taron and Richard Madden (who currently has rumors floating around that he’s dating Brandon Flynn) are engaging in some not-so-subtle queer baiting in anticipation of their new movie?
Whatever is going on with Brandon F and Richard M, whether they’re friends or something more, I don’t think that’s about queer baiting. They’ve been hanging out since October, apparently, and living together in LA since sometime in Jan. They were together at some Critic’s Choice after-party with Richard’s parents. Brandon also travelled to the UK with Richard for a week or so recently- a fan took a photo of them in the audience of Lily James’s new play, and they were seen out to dinner with her afterwards.
They’re both pretty low-key people generally and not that famous, so I guess only a few devoted fans have been keeping track of this stuff (can you tell I’ve just been catching up myself?! 😁 There’s more details there but I won’t drag you down the black hole I just fell into myself, this reply is getting long enough already!) until the pics came out of them the other day, but they seem to have gotten very close very fast, and their relationship, whatever it is, seems to be very genuine, and pretty sweet actually. I just hope the pictures coming out today and yesterday and the way twitter is exploding about them won’t derail it.
