Honestly, I’m still cackling about the news that Prince Harry executive produced an Apple TV+ series about mental health with OPRAH. Oprah, America’s Forever First Lady. Oprah, the black female billionaire. Oprah, arguably one of the most powerful women in the world. And Oprah and Prince Harry are joining forces for mental health. Meanwhile, Kate is throwing big-girl palace parties to celebrate a nebulous “mental health initiative” which will likely never launch, and William whines about how “not one celebrity” wanted to help him talk about mental health. *cackle* And that’s not all – it turns out that Oprah is also going to vocally support the Duchess of Sussex in interviews. Bless the mighty Oprah.
Oprah Winfrey is standing up for Meghan Markle. The television mogul, who just announced her partnership with Prince Harry in creating a mental health series launching on Apple next year, appeared on CBS This Morning to talk about the project on Wednesday, and conversation turned to the royal mom-to-be.
“I think she’s being portrayed unfairly, and I feel that if people really knew her they would know that she is not only everything we perceive of her in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart,” Winfrey, 65, said of the Duchess of Sussex, 37. “I think it’s very unfair.”
Gayle King, who attended Meghan’s baby shower in New York City, then added: “She’s very kind. She doesn’t seem to buy into [her bad press] though.”
A month after Meghan shared that she does not feed into negativity by looking at Twitter, Winfrey reiterated that the royal mom-to-be “does not read anything.”
“I think that’s remarkable that despite everything that’s going on she does not read anything,” she said.
It’s just a reminder to those stuffy, petty, pearl-clutching, nasty and racist courtiers and royal reporters: we noticed, motherf–kers. We were paying attention to the smear campaign. And we think less of those journalists and courtiers who were involved with the smearing of Meghan. When even Oprah says something about it, you know it’s bad. Oprah doesn’t involve herself in every gossip story or every controversy. But she sees it and she decided to say something this time.

I’m glad Oprah is speaking out about the way Meghan is being treated. Oprah will never change the minds of the rabid anti-Meghan people, but she will make people who may normally not be interested pay attention. It’s sad that Oprah has done more to protect Meghan than the royal family.

Anyone think this could possibly be the source of the feud? The mental health thing was supposed to be a Cambridge thing with Harry tagging along, and then he does this thing with Oprah and Wills lost it? William doesn’t like Harry if Harry isn’t in his shadow.
The only way I could see that being true is if William wanted to be able to put Kate & his name on everything relating to mental health regardless if they actually did anything and Harry said no. Even in that case, I doubt that would be the only reason the brothers aren’t getting along.
Prince William & Princess Kate are not the sources of the smearing of Duchess Meghan. Why can’t people believe it’s the old, ancient, dinosaur royal courtiers in each palace? What’s so hard to believe about that? Or are you so willing to believe that Prince William is that much of a jerk? Really? Come on.
Why do we believe it’s William/Kate/Carole? Because the stories either prop up William or Kate. No one benefits from slagging the Sussexes more than William and Kate. And yes, William has shown himself to be an entitled, tone deaf jerk.
Wm and Kate are as transparent as a dish of water (and just as boring). Every time Meghan and Harry are in the press for doing some actual WORK they get dragged and another article extolling the amazing Cambridges pops up. There is clearly a major feud going on between the brothers, not doubt because Harry has stepped out of Wm’s shadow and is launching his own philanthropic career along with his wife who is his best asset. Makes Workshy Wills and his doormat wife look like exactly what they are – entitled, lazy Norfolk Nobs.
I feel it’s the racist Royal UK press pack and sometimes Gremlins in house of Cambridge who think they are doing bidding for William.

Who says they won’t be, it’s still in the planning stage so he could ask Dad or Granny for a sound bite, esp as the family also has a history of member with mental health issues. Just look back through history. There’s George III and then Henry VIII.
Given some of the big name celebs involved am excited about it.
Oprah really is such a force. I’m so glad she is speaking out in Meghan’s defense. And like beyonce, since she doesn’t speak out about every controversy, I think its going to carry more weight and make people take notice of how Meghan is being treated, even if they don’t normally follow the royals.
If the RR and Daily Fail try to take down the mighty Opes I hope she slaps them all around. She is boss. Love her.
Wonder what Sunday tabloid story is being cooked up about Meghan to big up the butt hurt Cambridge’s? This is a massive thing for Harry to be doing and it shows just how he actually cares about his causes.
I saw on twitter this morning some Daily Fail reporter trying to say that British people don’t care about people like Oprah. The attempt to discredit and/or minimize Oprah is already underway.
My guess: The attack on Meghan this weekend will be about her birthing plan, the palace confirmed this morning that she isn’t going to the Lindo wing and isn’t going to stand outside for photos after the birth. A woman daring to make her own birthing decisions is really offensive to some people.
They’re getting desperate. I wouldn’t be shocked if they hauled out Samantha and/or Thomas for one more bashing before the baby arrives.
Between all of the positive press Harry & Meghan got this week (which they knew nothing about and learned along with the rest of the world, making them look like the fools that they are), plus William’s affair getting more coverage, the royal reporters are pissed and they’ll go even lower IMO.
HM is fond of Meghan. She likes her drive to succeed during the hungry years ie: Hollywood auditions etc….so I wouldn’t say the Royals aren’t protecting her.
Yes I think they r and it could be the negative Middleton stories are coming from the men in grey in an attempt to put the Cambridge’s in their place. I dunno really, I go between it being the Hanburys/Chumleys to the RF but TBH it could be both.
There is def royal drama going on and it has started spilling into the press and the family will not like that.
The mighty O has spoken! In one interview, she’s made it clear this project is all Harry’s (take that KP/RR) and that the Meghan she knows is the complete opposite of the person portrayed/maligned in the papers. Your move, British Media.
Here’s my take on the brothers’ feud. Harry met and fell in love with a genuine person who grew up in a completely different way than he did. Now that his eyes have really been opened to life beyond the Royal Way, he truly sees the dysfunction. His brother is actively participates in the dysfunction, which is mixed in with his huge self-entitlement.
If this doesn’t make sense, I stayed up until 3 AM working. Lol
I think Harry’s relationship with powerful women like Oprah and Michelle Obama is interesting. It’s obvious he enjoys their company and is interested in what they have to teach him. He doesn’t come across as pandering or in it for a photo.
I think William is unhappy in some parts of his life. I’m not so sure PW is happy within himself.
As long as William is unhappy within himself he wants to spread misery.
