    Yayyyyyy!!!

  2. terrah says:

you spin me right round baby… she looks like pete burns in the pic with guitar. not a great look to be honest

    • Belle Epoch says:

She really can’t play the guitar, so it looks like a prop. The way they handed Elvis a guitar even though he couldn’t play.

  3. Jaded says:

    Yawn.

  4. lucy2 says:

I haven’t liked anything Madonna’s done in probably 20 years.
Looking forward to Big Little Lies!

    • Tiffany says:

Ray of Light is still on heavy rotation for me. That is legit one of the best pop albums on the last couple of decades.

I find myself listening to Music and Confessions on a Dancefloor every now and then. Although for those, I skip songs.

      • lucy2 says:

Ray of Light is the last one of hers I really liked. 1998! I had to look it up.

Side note: Not sure if we have any Parisian CBers here, but my heart is utterly breaking for the Notre Dame fire.

      • Amanduh says:

@lucy2 YES! The Notre Dame fire is killing me! I love Paris! It holds a very special place in my heart as its where my daughter was conceived. The videos I watched of the fire looks devastating. I really hope they can get it under control and salvage as much as possible. Its not just the structure but the artifacts inside the church itself are priceless.

      • maisie says:

Agree; Ray of Light is her best album, the title song is her best song, and it was the last time she looked like a human woman. Now she looks like a waxwork. What kind of pain and jacking up has she gone through to look like a immobile sex robot? Not fooling anyone – you’re a 65 year old woman; we all know it, and no one thinks you’re well-preserved (not with those Gollum arms (tm Tina Fey) and Cryptkeeper hands) – but more importantly, NO ONE CARES. JFC.

    • lucy2 says:

I know, it’s just devastating. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve stayed in that area, and it always felt special to me. I can’t imagine how it must feel for those who live there. It’s such a beautiful place and such a symbol of the city. I never imagined this would happen.

    • Yes Doubtful says:

Really? Confessions on the Dance floor is amazing and I don’t usually go for that type of music. Rebel Heart was also quite good, but it bombed because of being leaked early.

  5. Corrine says:

How does Madonna legit look like Miley Cyrus in that top pic? Bizarre.

    • Ramona Q. says:

Yes! Miley really looks like young Madonna, especially when Miley wears the bright red lipstick. I have always thought that.

  6. Anya says:

Her face looks odd. I mean, she can do what ever she wants to her face. She is a grown ass woman with a great deal of accomplishments that most of us will never achieve. But it makes me sad that we make women feel like they need to hide their age, and in the process, completely change their looks.

    • Oliphant says:

I feel like this too- it’s sad we live in a world where women aren’t allowed to age, we must be young, smooth, and always smiling. So much of the criticism levelled at madonna is deeply rooted in misogyny- I never hear the same ‘stop embarrassing yourself’ rubbish aimed at people like mick jagger etc, no they’re allowed to age and continue on as they’ve always done while Madonna gets criticism for the clothes she wears ‘at her age’. F*ck ‘em.

  7. Erinn says:

I kind of love Cardi’s wig – and I love the suit she’s wearing in the photos as well.

I have never been a Madonna fan, so it’s a big old ‘meh’ from me. She kind of just makes me sort of sad. She seems so desperate to be young and hip that it ends up aging her even more.

  8. Ann says:

Did anyone else watch the Coachella live streams? I do Couchella every year. Ariana did not kill it… There was something wrong with the mics so you could barely hear Nicki Minaj, Puff, and Mase. Ariana’s vocals were great when the sound was right but she cut in and out a lot. Plus she did so many blackout cuts for her outfit changes. It wasn’t a smooth production. Next weekend will probably go better for her but the show in general was pretty underwhelming.

Gesaffelstein on the other hand was so banging! I might still go this weekend and I do I’ll be skipping Ariana.

    • Jessie says:

Sound is mixed differently for the audience and for TV. So while it may have sounded terrible for watchers on the stream, it was probably much better in person

  9. Abby says:

The plastic surgery involved is way more interesting than her actual music. I cannot believe how many times she’s had her face pulled tight.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

When she’s not heavily photo-shopped, she looks like Wayland Flowers’ puppet Madame. I don’t know why people think that makes them look better.

  10. Kristen says:

Madonna is an incredible trail blazer for women in music. It’s hard to imagine an Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Britney Spears, etc. without her. I hate that the conversation is often focused on her plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures. I hate that she feels the need to do that. But I also think women should age however they want. I don’t know what I’m trying to say, really. It’s complicated.

    • topsy says:

I agree but I don’t think it’s a good thing. Madonna made it possible for a bunch of young women with more style than talent to dominate the airwaves. I’m an old because I miss the days when SINGERS reigned.

I will never get over Ariana Grande having the nerve to even ATTEND Aretha’s funeral, much less sing (or whatever it is that she does) in the presence of The Queen’s corpse.

      • Trillion says:

I think of Ariana as a singer’s singer. She’s legit talented. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but she’s got vocal talent.

      • Jessie says:

Ariana is an amazing vocalist who has sung with Andrea Bocelli. She’s easily one of the top vocalists of the century? It sounds more like you don’t like her style than her abilities.

      • Ifeoma says:

Aretha Franklin herself liked Ariana. Not sure why your panties are in a bunch over that

    • Jaded says:

Before her came many women performers who broke ground for Madonna and who she copied – think Debbie Harry, Cyndi Lauper, Janis Joplin, Bette Midler, Patti Smith, Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Nicks, even all the way back to Josephine Baker. She’s a middlingly talented self-promoter and plagiarist, not a trail blazer.

      • Yes Doubtful says:

No one is original. I don’t know how old you are, but Madonna was most definitely an icon when I was growing up. I still listen to her stuff!

  11. SM says:

Is there anyone else beside me who looooooooooved the first season of Big Little Lies but this new teaser completely failed to get you excited for season 2?

  12. Ruyana says:

My faves are the British actresses who allow their faces to age naturally; Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Helen Mirrin and others. They don’t hide their ages and their talent is immense and they look beautiful to me.
