Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have a new series for Apple TV in the works called The Morning Show. This sucker has been “in the works” for almost two years now, which is crazy to me. The show’s premise is behind the scenes of a of morning talk shows and will be more of a dramedy than a sitcom. I’m excited for it, I like Jennifer and Reese together and I like this format for them. I’m just surprised how long it took to put together. Jennifer started promoting the show – or, at least, she’s piggy-backing the promotion with her current less-than-exciting Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler – so I guess it’s actually going to air this year. Sounds like it was worth it too because the show has a really impressive cast. As Jennifer was promoting the show last week on The View, Vanessa Williams asked about the cast member that everyone ended up having a crush on and Jennifer said it turned out to be Steve Carrell – and that none of them expected that.

Aniston, 50, stopped by The Talk on Friday to promote her new Apple series The Morning Show which stars Carell, 56, and Reese Witherspoon.
“I heard there was a secret crush on one of your cast members that all of the ladies loved,” guest co-host Vanessa Williams told her.
Aniston nodded and said, “Yes. That was Steve Carell.”“He’s like a silver fox now. He just came in, and no one expected that,” she continued. “Everyone was so cute. And he’s so shy, and fantastic.”
She cheekily added, “He gets better with age.”
Uhm, Jennifer – where have you been? We Celebitches have been on the Silver Fox Steve Train for a while now. I, personally, don’t think Steve just now got attractive, I‘ve always found him nice-looking man. But at the same time, I never found him this attractive before. For sure his hair is working all the right notes but I also think the lines on his face have made him a bit more rugged, which is my general aesthetic so mm’hmmm – *much* better with age.
Other cast members for The Morning Show include: Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass and Nestor Carbonell, whom I really enjoyed on Suddenly Susan. That’s a great line up. Plus, with the morning show format, that leaves the door open for several celebrity cameos. This means an increased chance of potential mini-Friends reunions (especially since Reese and Jennifer are already their own Friends reunion). I’m sure it will happen, they all pop up on each other’s shows. But personally, I don’t need a show reunion, I’m just happy for the real-life ones like this one Courteney posted for her 55th birthday:

Well, he is and it should be celebrated despite dome being late to the party. I used to find him dorky funny, now he is proper sexy
I walked by him and his wife on the street around December/January and he is VERY handsome in person…I kind of screamed internally and kept walking haha I love him!!
Also I watched Murder Mystery last night and it was a fun movie, give it a chance!
It was fun & at moments funny. It’s a silly movie–a distraction–during a difficult time in our history. I was happy to escape for a moment.
I watched it the other night too, after saying I wouldn’t, LOL. Adam Sandler still really bugs me, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. I can see why any of the actors would sign on, it was basically a paid vacation.
I agree, Steve has always been attractive but his silver fox face has really been working for him. plus he seems to be a very genuinely nice and sweet guy.
I kind of feel like Courtney did Lisa dirty with that photo of the three of them.

Yes! I’ve always like to Steve, but the silver hair has really worked for him. The cast of the show sounds awesome, can’t wait to see it.
I think it’s really nice that they work experience turn into a lifelong friendship for those three.

I know! I was going to say the same thing about Nestor. He will always be Richard to me.
He was also good in Bates Motel. I saw a funny video the Bates Motel team made about the auditions and they had Nestor wearing a t-shirt that said “I was on Lost.” I love seeing the cast pop up in new stuff.
I’m looking forward to this show, too. I’ve never found Steve super attractive physically but I agree the silver works on him. Some guys really do get better with age.
For me, Nestor Carbonell is always Batmanuel from The Tick. Any time I see him in a show, I always shout out, “Batmanuel!!!” He’s been wonderful in everything I’ve seen him in.
Love Steve…I can’t watch The Office enough, I’m just sitting here thinking of the Scott’s Tots episode and laughing, my God, that show was genius.
My daughter and I recently watched Beautiful Boy and it was such a different role, but he was good in that too. Anything he’s in is great because of his versatility.
That’s funny, Scott’s Tots is the one episode I skip when I do a rewatch.
I love the facial hair on Steve. He is a great actor and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is one of my favorite movies. And I love The Office.
Seeking a Friend made me swoon. (and cry so hard) Seen a it a few times. Steve has been on the top of my laminated list for YEARS. I almost hate that he isn’t just my special crush anymore.

Where has she been? He has been a silver fox for YEARS! And everyone knows it. At least I have been saying it for years now 😉 Makes me so excited to see how my husband will age now that his greys are starting to take over…
Yessss. My husband has been slowly turning in to salt and pepper (and a full head of hair still!) and I find it so extremely sexy.

I watched Murder mystery in the weekend and it was actually quite good! I chuckled and was pleasantly surprised, it’s much better than I predicted from the trailer and I usually don’t like Adam Sandler but he was low-key and not annoying in this one 🙂
I thought the same thing about the movie, Adam was way more mellow than normal and that helped my enjoyment of it a lot.
He’s always been extremely handsome in a classic way. He’s also funny so that’s an added bonus. And a nice guy. He’s aging like a fine wine.
