Kendall Jenner put in some appearances at New York Fashion Week events, but she didn’t walk in any of the runways. She made it sound like a conscious choice when she spoke to Vogue, and I believe that – despite our bitching about it, Kendall Jenner is an in-demand model and she could walk for any runway she wanted. The issue then is WHY does she only choose to walk one or two runways in a season these days? Is it money? Is she trying to choose the most prestigious runway shows? I don’t know.
In any case, Kendall is in England for London Fashion Week, and on Monday, she walked the runway for the big Burberry show. Burberry always pulls out all the stops and they usually get the best celebrity turnout of all the LFW events. This LFW show was no different – big names, on and off the runway. And Kendall decided to debut a new look on the runway: she’s gone blonde. I HATE IT.
To be fair, I hate it when all of the Kardashian-Jenners go blonde. The only one who looks sort of okay as a blonde is Khloe, probably because she naturally has lighter coloring than her sisters (probably because she has a different father, cough cough). Besides, Khloe’s hair color is the least of her worries at this point – I don’t even see her hair anymore with all of the cosmetic work she’s had done. I have a point here! Because Kendall Jenner has also been getting some cosmetic work the past few years – I think it’s mostly lip injections and some Botox, maybe some fillers. It’s notable because… she didn’t need it. Anyway, I fully expected the blonde hair to make Kendall’s face look extra-jacked, but no… if anything, her face looks “settled” and all I can see is how this shade of blonde is terrible on her.
Who does she look like? It’s driving me crazy. Allison Williams, maybe?

She looks like Emily Ratajkowski.
I think she is the worst of the clan personality wise but…she is a natural beauty and if she lays off the needles she will remain that way
I think her blonde is very fashion
She was a natural beauty, but she’s far from natural now.

Damn! She was a *really* cute kid! In that after pic, all I could see was a bad nose job (obviously Kris’ butcher), fillers, and botox. And this is in her 20s! What is that level of upkeep going to look like in 20/30/40 years?? Will she even *have* any face left?? Seriously asking, what do these procedures do to your skin after 20-50 yrs. of doing these things??
@JAC
I nevered realized how much she looked like pre-surgery Kylie. They could have passed for twins.
Thanks for the link, JAC. To be fair, the last pair of comparison photos were taken six years apart, and the last one is three years old. My point is that I think she has changed the most, or at least the changes have become more apparent, in the last three years. She’s been sneakyclever,, making subtle changes bit by bit. The lips are lumpy and horrible.
I agree with you, FHMom, about how alike she and Kylie were. They were both lovely-looking girls, and looking different to the “generic” California girls is exactly what set them apart as potentially very beautiful women. What a shame their older family role models weren’t able to instil the confidence and self-belief in their own natural and unique beauty. Then again, look at them… I guess making loads of money and being able to change whatever you want, whenever you want is a skill in itself.
The blonde look on KJ I is tres ordinaire.
Nope. It’s a very bad dye job (intended maybe). And she looks ordinary. Her dark hair is gorgeous and even tho I’m not a fan of the family, I do think she’s lovely.
I agree this hair color just makes her look very bland. I think a medium blonde is usually quite nice, but it doesn’t suit her.
It just makes her look even more dead behind the eyes than normal.
I don’t know who keeps telling the women in this family that they should bleach out their hair (surely there must be a better way to distract from the plastic surgery) because the color has not suited any of them – although I do agree that Khloe gets away with it the best.
THANK YOU!!! THAT was my very first thought, too. She looks “deader” then ever. That line of models is like a lineup of the Walking Dead.
Frankly, I wish that whole K-Koven would just disappear for good!
Walking Dead is a perfect description of every fashion runway. You’d think at some point a designer would want to send out laughing happy models just to be different!
++1!!
I’ve been saying that forever about the K-Klan disappearing for good, but so far, no luck!!!
I think she also had a nose job and something done to her eyes/eyebrows
I like the blonde, she didn’t go full platinum and it looks okay. Dark hair looks better but this isn’t bad either.
I think the hair is to distract from something different on her face. I would not have recognized her and it’s not the hair color throwing me.
The dye-job is horrible! All that money and she gets stringy yellow highlights.
Why are the roots showing? Is it an old dye job or is this intentional? I don’t get it; can someone explain the youths to me?
Look at all the dye jobs and those of others – roots are always showing. Drives me nuts!
I’m 32 and I like the roots. It’s easier to maintain. I’ve always liked the balayage look as well. To each their own.
YES. I was thinking about going full on medium brown to blonde ombre because I am lazy and don’t want to worry about roots every couple of weeks.
That said… her dye job could be better. I think it’s probably partially a case of them not wanting to do TOO much processing in one go. But I don’t even hate her as a blonde.
I like the roots too,I think it keeps the look more natural and easier to maintain,I just went to famous hair and had some foils and it ran around one hundred bucks, mine looks better than Kendal’s.
But isn’t a balayage meant to be a more subtle change? My daughter went from medium brown to golden brown and it looks fabulous. She should have lightened her roots and then did the blond. I mean, I know nothing about hair color, but that’s how I would have done it if it were me.
Balayage is more about the technique I think. I’m not 100% sure, but I think it’s the way that they hand paint the developer on. So there’s not supposed to be harsh lines – a nice blend is supposed to be the result. But that doesn’t mean you can’t go extreme towards the ends.
Babylights are more subtle – I think they’re supposed to look more like sun streaked hair – just a hint of lighter hue.
That said, I think Sour Patch meant that she’s fine with Kendall’s hair, but ALSO likes balayage.
I like the roots too, it gives depth and avoids the harsh look that single process dye jobs have when they start to grow out. I don’t hate this but the brunette is much better on her.
She’s so…boring. I hate to say this, as I don’t even know her.
Nope, as Kim and Kyle she looks bad as a blonde.
I don’t hate it, but I think it makes her look bland or blah. At least she doesn’t look like a pillow; Kylie really needs to lay off the fillers for a bit. I just don’t get it, the Kardashian/Jenner women are so naturally beautiful, yet they tweak endlessly. I get Kris, she’s older and it’s rough watching the changes after 40, and it must be even worse when you’re on camera.
She looks basic. She always does imo but more so with this dye job. I could go down to the college campus in town and find a dozen girls with more interesting looks that aren’t dead behind the eyes but I guess none of that matters since they aren’t kardashian/Jenner’s 🙄
Kendall has had just as much work done as Kylie. I didn’t realize it at first because her work was much more gradual. I follow celebbeforeandafter on ig and she has a whole new face. Nose, lips, eyes, eyebrows, and fillers.
Oddly enough, I don’t hate the hair.
She didn’t really do the full body work and maintenance of that look that Kylie has subscribed to. But facially she’s had a lots of little tweaks, injections, and fillers… but more subtle changes over time.
@Eliza, I should have been more specific. I meant facially she’s had just as much work done as Kylie. I’m sure after her modeling career fades, she’ll start the body contouring process.

I was binge-watching Jimmy Fallon game segments the other night (lol) and came across one from a few years ago that included Kendall. I too didn’t think she’d had much done, and was shocked that she looked like a totally different person just 3-4 years ago.
She looks like a cheap Mariel Hemingway knockoff
She looks like everyone in that line–absolutely devoid of any spark
Different hair, same dead eyes.
She looks like Betty Gilpin!!
exactly!!!
YES! I 100% agree!
Who the f$?k cares??
I think she only walks with brands she is tied to contractually. She seems very lazy compared to the Hadid sisters. But she still makes more money somehow
Hate it!!!!!
she looks like a dead Kate Upton
I love it because she looks so bad.
I’m not a fan of hers at all but I actually really like it, I think it’s a nice change
I like it too. It’s good to switch it up a bit. And those dark roots are part of the look people. It’s a bit more edgy.
Kendall is a tall, pretty girl. She’s like the pretty girl in every high school across America. If she wasn’t Kendall Jenner, she would be folding t-shirts at J Crew and running all over NY on castings trying to land one or two shows.
This, completely. Kendall is definitely pretty, but she would NEVER be a top model if she didn’t have connections. Same with Kaia Gerber.
Models are nor supposed to be beautiful. I keep reading that here and it really puzzles me. If you click on any catwalk on youtube, you’ll find many ‘generic’ tall women whose names you don’t even know. The “top Models” were a nineties phenomenon that died in the nineties and was related to the mood and culture of the era. It’s over.
The nepotism models as we call them here are the new phenomenon: they are celeb models that build themselves as a brand. This is our culture, whether you like it or not. Perhaps someone in the nineties was raging against the top models on their daughter’s walls, the heroin chic look and the adulation of the emptiness of beauty.
Times change and the superficiality of our culture changes too. The constant is that it remains superficial.
My point: ‘it’ people are just a surface, a photogenic person with taste or – seemingly – something original. Which is a completely fake construct based on what we know of Cindy Crawford for example – not special, not self-assured, not anything other than the flavour of an era.
Kendall and Kaia are pretty girls but they have very little pizzazz IMO. Neither of them have that It factor.
Thanks for the smart comment, snowslow. Yes yes and yes.
Snowslow, amazing take.
She completely altered her face before beginning her “modeling career” as a teenager. So unless you think that most young people working retail have spend thousands of dollars on Botox brow lifts, Botox massater injections to alter the jawline, Botox in the forehead, fillers in the cheeks, forehead, and lips, rhinoplasties, etc., then both of you – nope.
She wasn’t “pretty” like this before the work.
It would look better as a wig, the black roots are off.
Oh my, the blonde hair just highlights and magnifies her basic-ness.
Yeah, I said the same below. She looks like a plain nobody.
When I was a kid I had blonde hair and if I went swimming in chlorine too much my hair would turn a greenish hue, kendell is currently rocking blonde green hair
I actually think it doesn’t look bad. Her mom’s Scandi features are on display here.
Her mom has Scottish heritage not Scandi. Scotland is not a part of Scandinavia.
Don’t “hate” it, but it does nothing for her. Just makes her look more ordinary and she is a very ordinary girl. No supermodel vibe from that one.
I actually kinda like it? It certainly looks better than how Kim and Khloe go blonde. It’s a nice change.
Can I sit with you? I’m surprised by all the harsh comments because IMO she looks way better with the blonde hair, more alive and interesting.
I think she looks just like Brody, honestly. It’s the browline.
I hate the blonde. I don’t like how the blonde is blended with the dark hair nor do I like the shade on her. Maybe she’s tired of the Ali McGraw comparisons, though she certainly embraced it for quite some time with her style of clothing
I actually would have loved for her to have gone red. Their family either does dark or blonde, and the occasion neon colors that Kylie will break out, but not red. Changing to red would really set her apart from her sisters.
I still don’t understand how she is a model. She’s pretty enough but not “model material” IMO. If she was on ANTM Ty Ty would probably say that her look is “very catalog”.
I actually don’t hate the blonde hair though.
Walking shows gives the models almost no money, that’s why established models walk so few of them (and many skip NYFW and LFW altogether). So it’s no surprise Kendall almost never does them. And btw Riccardo’s work for Burberry is a travesty, so no wonder he has to bring Kendall, the Hadids and Irina to have some attention.
Also I actually like the blonde on her, but it looked better when she/her hairdresser styled it.
Her face does look more settled here than usual, and her brows have been styled low and straight for this runway. She has naturally low brows (very clear in childhood photos) but continued brow-lifts mean that she usually has that botoxed quizzical ”hatching a plot” face. Not so much here though. The lip injections are still evident, but I agree her work is more settled here and she looks more natural than I’ve seen her for a while. She’s been a ninja with the face work over the years, I wonder if Designers get to choose which Kendall face they’re booking!
She looks like a plain nobody.
They should fire the hair dresser/colourist!
Why is it SO uneven?!
Its like its done at home and she just had to do a runway show before going to a hair dresser to correct it.
Ken-Dull….lmao.
I’m indifferent about it.
I loathe nepotism, but there could be something good about plain looking women taking the fashion world: they represent more the population, specially the girls who are heavily influenced by them. “Superior” beauty should never be something to idolize, like we used to do with the 90s supermodels.
I’m getting a very Jacinda Barrett vibe from her these days.
