Former Formula One mogul Flavio Briatore, 69, is dating a law student who is 49 YEARS younger than him. The Italian businessman was spotted getting cosy with his new girlfriend while on holiday in Kenya. Benedetta Bosi is a 20-year-old law student at the State University of Milan. She becomes the latest in a long line of women that Briatore has dated, with the ex QPR owner’s former flames including models Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell.

The young beauty, Bosi, isn’t known in celebrity circles – but was the Pietrasantino Miss Carnival back in 2017. While she studies law in Milan, the stunning student is said to be looking to enter the world of fashion. Briatore wooed Bosi with a short stay in a plush Rome hotel, before whisking her away to Kenya in his private jet.

My daughter is a 19 year old college student. She just responded to my text asking how old would be too old for her to date. She answered “27”.
You raised your daughter right. Someone 8 years her senior is someone she can still relate to on an emotional level and can feel physically attracted to so she isn’t factoring in money and other transactional things. I couldn’t imagine dating anyone above 30 at that age. Just as I can’t imagine dating anyone under 30 now I’m in my mid-30s. Dating someone almost 50 years your junior is the product of having a very fragile ego you need to boost by showing of a very young beauty and/or being so emotionally immature that you can’t relate to someone anywhere near your own age.

Law is undergrad in Italy. Often in Europe law programs are open enrollment, so it isn’t necessarily hard to be a law student. (Still have to pass lots of exams to actually become a lawyer.)

This is a control thing. He can make her do whatever he wants and if she doesn’t obey she looses the perks. All his life he has controlled the people around him. I remember some photos of him and his last wife in Kenya at least a year before the divorce. I could tell she had already checked out but still she posed alongside him and gave a lengthy interview. He would chip in time to time to correct her as her answers were short and sarcastic. But also I remember in the beginning he tried to make her happen in the Italian TV. He basically bought a program for her. It didn’t help that she wasn’t good at anything. She was just beautiful. And when asked he was self aware enough to say that he wouldn’t have married her if she wasn’t beautiful and she wouldn’t have married him if he wasn’t rich.
He is many things but stupid he is not. And he is generous at least so this girl, if she lasts, will gain some coin (in a way or another she is there to gain something material).
Also, don’t remember where I read it, he is seeing his daughter with Heidi. I think he let her go in the beginning and ask for a paternity test because he didn’t believe a short fling could produce a baby. Later he acknowledged her but said he wouldn’t be a good father to her due to his age and that’s why he let Sale to be the father. Then he went on to have a baby with his last wife because she was young and wanted one. Maybe that’s when he started looking for his daughter. I know that Heidi went ahead with her life pretty quickly and gave her a family from the start and went out of his control so he took his sweet time.

Yeah, my immediate reaction to this story is “eww.” But upon further reflection, is that a privileged position to take here? Because the moral lines blur a little for me when I look back at my early twenties. Now I’m 40 and financially comfortable, but I come from a working class family and I have horribly vivid memories of what it was like to sometimes have to choose between rent and groceries when I was 20. If some hypothetical extravagantly wealthy senior citizen had rolled up with cash in exchange for my body, well… I don’t THINK I would have signed up for that arrangement, but I do think I would have seriously considered it.
