Me too, Hugh. Me too. I really like that movie but that scene was unnecessary.

  2. Lucy says:

I love, love, love Dhyzy (Argentina’s new First son, that’s his drag name). He’s not gay, though! He’s bisexual. His dad is pretty great, too.

I’m jealous. I want us to have an amazing leader too. I’d love to have a leader who wasn’t hateful and was kind and inclusive to all.

      • Alexa says:

Don’t be. It’s likely he’ll be a shadow president, while Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (the Vice), involved in dozens of corruption scandals, will pull the strings.

I just rewatched the movie and I love that scene. It’s the fact that you know it’s so NOT HIM in real life that makes it charming and fun. It is as iconic as the Cruise dance in Risky Business.

    • Chrissy says:

I love that scene because it was sooooo unexpected. Love Actually became a Christmas favourite for my family partly because of that scene.

    • FitTB15 says:

LOVE that scene too. “Jump” by the Pointer Sisters is on my Christmas playlist.

  4. minx says:

Aw, I thought he looked cute dancing.

  5. Nancypants says:

He’s totally cute and who among us hasn’t done that?
My men at work and I break out in dance regularly mostly to the ’80s and ’90s but one older gentleman from Houston used to waltz me around the store and showed-off the occasional spin and dip.
    It’s fun!

It’s a small, local business. I think there are only 12 of us there now.
We have a LARGE number of repeat customers though, so, we’re doing something right.

  6. holly hobby says:

It’s awkwardly cute and appropriate. Seriously.

Does no one care about the pigeons? I think this is fantastic except that they are glued on. that is wrong. It should have been an elastic strap.

    • sammiches says:

I thought the same thing! Headlines pass it off as some cute thing, but people are GLUING shit to animals’ heads. That is so beyond wrong.

Jesus, the eyebrows on the red-dress-wearing Conservative squad member (won’t click on video or read to see who that is) – it’s like her inner Satan is coming out.

  9. Ye says:

    I love that scene 🙁

  10. manta says:

And in the sad news department (at least if you were a child in the 80’s and a teenager in the 90’s), Danny Aiello has died.

  11. Kiki says:

Geez, what DOES this guy like???

  12. Le4Frimaire says:

I never got the appeal of this movie. A lot of dysfunctional people doing shady things to their so called friends and love ones. Tried way too hard to be a “ feel good” movie but , no.

    • stormsmama says:

      OMG thank you
Its so funny bc i hated that movie but last night I watched it again bc I was like why do i hate this movie?
and then watching it Im like F-CK! this movie is super problematic! I realize that Hughs assistant (who he FIRES) is supposed to be like Monica L (or inspired by her) but they call he fat the whole movie WTF
And Kiera’s Husbands bf is in love with her? NO!
The actors who are the sex stand ins— i get what they were going for but its gross and gratuitous too
2003 yet seems like an eternity ago
      Not a great movie

  13. ChillyWilly says:

Not to mention the misogyny and fat shaming of women. Hugh’s dance scene was one of the least offensive moments in that mess. Great cast but awful movie.

  14. JRenee says:

I actually just watched for the 1st time and it wasn’t a horrible scene.

Speaking of British leading men Colin Firth just announced his divorce. Mr. Darcy is single…

  16. Jess says:

I love that scene, it’s silly and fit the movie. Maybe he just takes himself too seriously and felt stupid.

  17. Raina says:

He’s a love him or hate him. Liz Hurley calls him her best friend still. My bf is grumpy AF in that certain way so I get it.

  18. Ramona Q. says:

Ok but when he sees the secretary and he stops dancing, the music stops too, so was the music really playing or not?

  19. Valerie says:

lol, I thought it was pretty cute and I’ve never been a Hugh girl. Alan Rickman forever.

  20. Kkat says:

I never saw any pigeons with glued on things and I clicked on every link! Help!!
    Please share the pigeon love

  21. Minxx says:

I used to watch this movie every Christmas for years but lately it has lost some of its appeal. Calling his assistant “fat” always irked me, she’s not even remotely chubby. WTF.
