Queen Elizabeth went to church today with her favorite son, HRH Prince Andrew

As I said yesterday in the Royal Sussexit post, the idea that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “not using” their HRHs versus the Queen “taking away” their HRH status is really a distinction without a difference, especially because I don’t see Meghan and Harry coming back to England to live for a very long time. Maybe they wanted to give up their HRHs as “payment” for freedom. Maybe the Queen wanted them to stop using their HRHs as part as some kind of punishment. The result is the same, and as always, the optics for the royal family are not good. I could make the argument that Meghan was forced to give up her HRH for… being a biracial woman who suffered abuse at the hands of the family and the press. Like, that was her punishment for being punished. It sucks.

It sucks especially because even though His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, had to be fired by the Queen and the Prince of Wales for failing to properly explain his close association with rapist child abuser and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew didn’t lose his HRH. Or his dukedom. Or his publicly funded security. Andrew gets to sit in his mansion and do nothing and retain all of his titles and his HRH and he still gets to escort his mother to church after she got through punishing Meghan and Harry:

This family is all about optics and public relations. This was done on purpose. Of course the Queen knew she would be photographed at church this morning. Of course she knew she would be seen and photographed with Andrew. So that’s the message: the Queen will continue to go out of her way to protect her son, who lied about his association with Jeffrey Epstein and raped teenagers who were trafficked to him by Epstein and Maxwell, and that’s the royal way. The Queen will make a big show of support for Andrew right after she punished Meghan and Harry for being targeted by her office, and all of the royal offices and family. Again, this is just one more example of why Meghan and Harry were eager to GTFO. But it’s also a reminder of just how twisted and nasty this family’s priorities really are. There’s something deeply rotten in the House of Windsor.

I saw this yesterday when they said she headed to lunch w andrew right after the announcement and WTF?! Not a single outlet then picked up on it. She’s supporting Andy and basically just kissed off a grandson. Hideous.

    • Ellen Olenska says:

      And run Charlotte and Louis…run!

      • Bettyrose says:

Ohgawd. Not that I think there’s any real threat to the Cambridge children ..but how do you raise your kids around someone like that? ( great name, btw)

      • sue denim says:

        they’ll be fine, they’re white, it’s Archie H&M are worried about, I believe…

    • EM says:

Hideous indeed but I’m actually grateful that she did this. Imagine had it been the Queen with Wills & Kate? The press would be all over the dutiful future King & Queen and disloyal H&M. Instead the heat is slightly off and back on the garbage that is Andrew. Don’t know if this was a happy accident or intentional but a little reprieve.

    • minx says:

I look at them and all I see are unattractive, not very bright, not well educated grifters. There is nothing remarkable about these people, nothing that makes them deserving of all the money and privilege they have. No one elected them. I don’t know why they are allowed to continue this scam in the 21st century.

      • Noodle says:

@Minx: Tradition breeds familiarity and comfort. When the world is in turmoil and everything is uncertain, there’s a certain comfort to be found in things that are unchanging. It’s not a conscious reaction; it’s more like how we reach for comfort food when we are upset. The BRF is comfort for a lot of people for whom a rapidly changing world is terrifying.

      • Samsara says:

I with you Minx but I don’t buy the theory that H&M have up their HRH stylings either. Their website made clear that they wished to keep them and they wanted to be working Royals, on their own terms. In fact their website still hasn’t altered it’s usage of the HRH stylings.

It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, being Royal is still favourable to being ‘just another celebrity’.

      • minx says:

I do understand the need for continuity and tradition. But these people are pampered poodles who don’t earn their keep.

      • ArtHistorian says:

The House of Windsor descends from the House of Hannover – and the only reason the Hannover’s was offered the Crown by Parliament was the fact that they were Protestant and that they had a smidgen of Stuart blood.

  2. GuestOne says:

Andrew will be back doing royal duties soon just you wait. It will be him taking up the heavy load. And nary a word will be said by the press.

    • Snazzy says:

So very very gross. More convinced than ever that now is the time to abolish the Monarchy. Honestly WTF

      • Nana says:

For a second there I read that as the Murdochry…. same thing though really – both need to be abolished.

    • Jellybean says:

It would indeed be disgusting if Andrew ever takes an official role again.

    • TaniaOG says:

Oh yes, and they will say he is picking up the load H&M left behind. Don’t you worry they will find a way to blame it on them!

    • Talie says:

      I agree. He’ll be rehab’d by the year’s end.

It seems like the other alternative he and Sarah are pushing in the media is for Eugenie to take up Harry and Meghan’s royal duties. Poor Beatrice – they aren’t even trying with her.

      • Jennifer says:

really interesting that, they are streamlining the Monarchy for future trends of relying less on taxpayer money, Prince Andrew is part of the old guard ( needs to be protected as is so dumb due to the scandals), whilst ex-Prince Harry is the newer style of not in line to throne royalty that will want to walk free away from the Monarchy. No way Eugenie and Beatrice have to be self-reliant too now.

    • (TheOG)@jan90067 says:

He will slither in, with RRs saying how TQ MUST NOW rely on Pedo, since EVIL MEGHAN and WEAK WILLED HARRY have turned their backs on their heritage/life/committments/duties for SELFISH REASONS!

Y’all KNOW these headlines, in various incarnations, will be coming in the near future, esp. as plans for Bea’s wedding come out. Wonder if H&M will get invited….?

  3. Digital Unicorn says:

Given Sussexit – Andrew will be back in the fold doing royal duties within weeks. Who is going to be the new shiny toy that will get thrown under the bus? The press war between Andrew, Chuck and William is going to be epic since TQ has drawn a line under the Sussex’s – the press can whine all they like about them but the lawsuit will have them all sh!tting it, esp as they keep printing lies about Meghan and Harry.

As for Piers Morgan, his days are numbered – I hope the lawsuit ends with him spending time in jail like Andy Coulson. Morgan is bricking it, Harry clearly has evidence of him hacking his phone and thats why Morgan is all out with her smear campaign – he’s trying to bully them into backing down. I love the Sussex’s but I would love them even more if they brought that scumbag down.

    • Molly says:

The Royal Family must have punching bag for the media…PERIOD. Harry/Meghan refused to be abused but Andrew, well Andrew will happily take on the role. The problem with that is what Andrew has done should have given him a role in prison. What’s has become clear is the Hypocrisy is the British Press and the British People. A Biracial American will never be accepted in their Royal Family but a Pedophile Prince is perfectly find…..They Disgust Me!
It’s as if TQ has given them a trade. I give your desire to get rid of Harry/Meghan and in return you support my Pedohile son and The Bitter Brits will do just that!

      • Lucy De Blois says:

I hope both you are right, but my hopes are very little on the matter.

Yes, the RF needs a scapegoat to be a punch bag; yes, news about Andrew and his tastes and friends must be minimized at all costs; yes, Charles and William showed very clear they like to be the center of the news. Everything is ok.

What is not thaaaat clear is: M&H are far, building their lives, not using public money, stripped out of their some titles, but will the press really let them go? Will the RF let the press turn from H&M to come back to follow WorkShy William, Lazy Kate, Rosy Cheeks (Charles) and Baby Andy? Is the RF really interested about giving up such useful decoys as H&M? Hummmm……

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

I saw a great tweet re: Piers Morgan who cannot. stop. talking. trash. about. Meghan – I mean, it’s almost a pathological display at this point.

“Maybe someone should gently direct Piers to the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, because this obsessive, unhinged behaviour is the kind of I thing I see a lot of men prosecuted for.” That tweet was from a British barrister. wow.

My two knuts’ worth: H&M should pull the trigger on that now that Her Maj has more or less declared them private citizens at this point.

Andrew, Chaz & Will are going to be what brings down the monarchy imo. Elizabeth is being willfully blind to it all. Shame she doesn’t manage her sons as well as she manages The Royal Stud at Sandringham.

  4. Originaltessa says:

It’s sad because he’s her only friend in the world, and she’s old, and obviously his companionship trumps everything to her. Everyone else in her life is just not that close to her or seemingly estranged. Andrew is her best friend. I don’t think she cares anymore. Nothing will change how she adores Andrew. This is not unprecedented behavior for mothers. They’re typically still sitting in the back of the court room when their son is being tried for murder. That said, she’s an idiot for being so public about it. She doesn’t have to cut him off privately, but definitely should publicly. I’m starting to question if all of her marbles are intact.

    • betsyh says:

How do you know he’s her only friend in the world???

      • Originaltessa says:

It’s an expression… But she’s not exactly close with her other children and she and Philip obviously lead separate lives and he has a mistress. Just seems her constant companion and closest friend… for years… has been Andrew.

      • betsyh says:

I haven’t read that she is estranged or not close to her other children or their spouses.

Also, I did a one minute google search and came up with two close friends:

Lady Celia Vestey: One member of the queen’s inner circle is Lady Celia Vestey, a baroness and the wife of Lord Samuel Vestey.
The Vesteys and Queen Elizabeth II enjoy each other’s company as they have been spotted at different events together over the years. They also share a love for horses and the queen appointed Lord Vestey as Master of the Horse to the Royal Household.

Angela Kelly: someone who’s been in the queen inner circle for years and remains one of her most trusted confidants is Angela Kelly. She is the monarch’s longtime assistant and dressmaker who has worked alongside her just about every day since 2002. Kelly is one of the very few people actually allowed to touch Queen Elizabeth.

      • Originaltessa says:

Yeah, her assistant is listed as one of her best friends… Do I need to keep going on this point? Andrew is the person closest to her. That’s not like a state secret.

      • betsyh says:

No, you don’t. And I don’t mean to be bitchy about this. It’s just that your claim is groundless.

    • sue denim says:

even if true, it’s not like this happened in a vacuum, it happened because of choices she’s made, and prob because of who she really is. I bet she could have found a friend in Harry and Meghan if she’d given them more of a chance, and/or had better values..

    • Suz says:

I thought Betty was close with her daughter Anne and with Anne’s kids. She’s got more than Prince Pedo in her life I hope.

    • notasugarhere says:

It was outed a year or two ago that she goes on private vacations with Lady Sarah Chatto frequently.

    • Tigerlily says:

I think TQ has most of her marbles, she’s been pretty astute during the negotiations with Harry and Meghan. I believe she is just willfully and stubbornly putting Andrew out there. She could support him all she wants privately but this church thing was very deliberate and very public with the royal photographer summoned probably by the palace. She usually favors Sophie Wessex with accompanying her to church on Sundays….it was deliberate to have Andrew the Pedo at her side. As NOTA says, Sarah Chatto is close to the Queen as well. She is not dependent on Andrew for companionship.

I’m a Canadian and while I’ve never been a monarchist I’ve always had a grudging admiration for the Queen. That has been wiped out over the past 18 months. I’m appalled at the way the Sussexes, Meghan in particular, have been treated. She could’ve done something to mitigate if not end the bullying from the tabloids but did not.

I hope that the Monarchy comes to a screeching end soon. It’s BS that someone has position and power simply by an accident of birth.

Lastly I despair of the public in general. Comments in the DM and on another gossip blog indicate people deny Andrew is a pedo, they disregard the trafficking of the young girls and bring up age of consent (irrelevant in my opinion). It’s like Andrew’s crimes are being “normalized”.

      H & M are better off out.

  5. Royalwatcher says:

Her priorities are being broadcast loud and clear. Run the black one out of town and cuddle back up to her pedo rapist son. She’s a sick and disgusting woman. And PA should be in prison.

    • Frida_K says:

      Yes to all of this.

Nothing that family does to whitewash their actions will cover the stench. They are racist, horrible people who run their own out for marrying a Black woman; meantime, a pedo is embraced and given a pass no matter what he does.

That’s what this is, and nobody is fooled. Nobody.

Going to church like this with Pedo Andy is just as much a clear signal as changing her purse from one arm to the other. It’s a language and a message.

Nobody is fooled. We all see, and understand.

      Shame on all of them.

    • MellyMel says:

      Exactly!

    • KellyRyan says:

Andrew committed a crime in the US, New York at Epstein’s home. LE usually plays investigations close to the vest until ready to charge and subpoena. It will be interesting to see if he is charged.

  6. This whole thing of the Queen and Andrew once again doing the public outing just blows me away. How does anyone (The Firm, the British government, the British press, the British people) think this is a good look for the monarchy. That this does no harm to their franchise. And yet, we repeatedly have heard in the last 10 days or so, that the Sussexes are single handedly bringing the monarchy down: That Harry has treated his grandmother horribly. (If Andrew really cared about anyone other than himself you’d think he’d say no mother I shouldn’t do these public things with you because right now I’m doing you more harm than good.). I just don’t get it But I have no F**** left to give for this family. They are truly their own worst enemy.

    • Gabby says:

That is a very good point, HE knows how bad it looks. Andrew should be home hiding his face in shame, instead he puts in a smug appearance with mummy at church. He cares for nothing but money and that royal status.
I’ve said it again and again, Harry and Meghan have a child to protect, end of discussion.

      • Candikat says:

I don’t think he knows how bad it looks. He’s the one who thought that his interview was a blazing success.

    • Suz says:

After that cringe interview he agreed to do, I don’t think Andrew has any sense of how bad he makes everything look. He can do no wrong in Mummy’s eyes.

  7. Eleonor says:

I can hear Charles rant from here.

  8. MattyLove says:

We’ve talked before about how the Queen is terrible at optics and doesn’t seem to “get it.” I wonder if she might possibly think this will be perceived as a “getting her wayward son to church to rehabilitate him?” Whereas it’s actually being widely perceived as a show of support for him.

    • Eleonor says:

I think this could be te right angle.
She doesn’t understand pr, she has shown this lack of judgement all her life, and she is in her 90’s so it’s possible her idea of pr is stucked in the 50’s.

    • Sunshine says:

Mattylove – this isn’t just the Queen, this is BP. Someone actually told Chris Jackson to go there and take some photos. This is not random, this is intentional.

      • Nic919 says:

Exactly. Chris Jackson is not paparazzi. He’s an official photographer who goes on royal tours with them. Which makes this even dumber. They are promoting Andrew not hiding him.

  9. Belli says:

It seems to be accepted into the Royal Family you can nonce around as much as you like but you’d better not be brown.

  10. Becks1 says:

What an awful look for the queen. At church with HRH Andrew. Ew.

In all honestly I really don’t think H&M cared about the HRH and that’s why they were willing to Chuck it. But other people care so it’s a bad look for the royals.

  11. Abby says:

Unbelievable. Such a dumpster fire. I’m done with the royal family. I’ve been a fan for my whole life of the pageantry, Diana, William and Harry, Kate and Williams wedding, babies and most especially Meghan and Archie. This makes me sick. The message is so blatant.

  12. Bella DuPont says:

“There’s something deeply rotten in the House of Windsor.”

    Nuff said. 🙁

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Indeed – it also shows the influence Andrew still has over his mother and given that Philip’s grip on family affairs has lessened it also shows that Andrew is exerting that influence over his mother to ’embiggen’ himself and use her in his ham fisted attempts to repair his image.

This will all blow up in her face as the court case in NY hasn’t finished giving – I believe there is more information relating to Andrew that’s going to come out. There are other women, I was reading that a few have come forward since Virginia spoke out.

Andrew should enjoy it now as when his brother takes the throne, he’s out – Charles will do what TQ won’t.

      • Bella DuPont says:

You are so right, especially re Andrew behind the scenes, strategically positioning himself behind the Sussex situation, probably sabotaging them to gain as much cover as he can get in the meantime.

The stench of the house of Windsor rises higher still. 🙁

      • Kristin says:

But do you think Charles will? He was there, walking with Andrew, into Christmas mass. That was gross.

      • And yet the article said that he had lunch with the Queen and Prince Phillip. So, seems he’s on board as well. The Queen is riding high with her people right now so maybe she thinks — Hey, time to reintroduce Andrew —. I mean, have you seen the Sunday front pages of ALL the British papers: Thrown Out, Not wanted Here, Good Riddance, Thank God for the Queen. Emily Andrews — who has published some very nasty pieces — is quoted in Marie Claire UK online as saying, ….it was obvious to all of us that Prince Harry has been unhappy, and grumpy and did not want to be present for the past 18 months for no apparent reason. FOR NO APPARENT REASON. That is damn rich coming from the RR. So, I’m thinking the RR is going to go all peace and love for Andrew. 🤯

      • Olive says:

@Kristin absolutely. he may still be there for andrew as a brother, but charles will have no problem kicking him out to do what’s best for the monarchy.

  13. Belinda says:

    I cannot believe it!!!
    This is so surreal!!
The mindset of EVERONE involved in this …. that’s ….. there are no words!!

    • Pineapple says:

I know!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD???????? Should we all just Sussexit??? Do you think Meg and Harry would let us stay with them?

  14. Nibbi says:

    GRRROOOOSSSSSSSSSSssssss
    just jaw-dropping
it definitely feels like a deliberate message
“him over you guys” … or something. just wow

  15. Scal says:

Megan still has her HRH technically as well though right? Doesn’t the queen have to submit letters of patent to have those removed from anyone? (Unless there’s a divorce-I think that changed post diana.fergie)

    • Ainsley7 says:

Only parliament can remove their titles. They are basically agreeing to not use it simply to avoid it becoming an issue for parliament to decide. The Royals don’t like being the topic of government debate for obvious reason. That’s why this all needed to be handled as quickly and quietly as possible. They didn’t want the government involved.

  16. Flying fish says:

    These people disgust me.
    The monarchy must go.

  17. Lucy2 says:

    Disgusting. He belongs in jail.

  18. Splinter says:

My first thought was that the Sussexes leaving also had something to do with Andrew. Now they are gone and Andrew is back. Coincidence?

  19. Guest2.0 says:

Unbelievable. So I guess the Firm calculated they could use Harry & Meghan’s exit as a means to being Andrew back into active Royal life. Someone has to pick up the work. Wonder if that was a reason to make Harry give up hIs military patronages so they could be given to Andrew.

  20. fatladysinging says:

I wonder if there is anyone being honest with her and letting her know that a large chunk of the world — and Commonwealth — are really starting to hate her piece of shit ass.

  21. Jillybean says:

Utterly so gross. Shame on the queen.

  22. OriginalLala says:

So disgusting, if anyone should be stripped of titles and funding it should be this pedo. Ì can’t believe she is still publicly supporting him…..

  23. Elizabeth says:

Another commenter yesterday pointed out that Breitbart and other right wing American sites were attacking Meghan. And I wondered why.

But the through line is Epstein. Of course Trump and Andrew go together.

The idea that a rich privileged white man, a prince, because of course conservatives love the idea of an actual monarchy, would give it up (to even some extent) for the love of his biracial wife and son blows their mind.

Mommy supporting her rapist son — at church no less, using religion as a shield for crimes against women? That’s all right! Business as usual!

    • Tanya says:

      Girls. Crimes against girls.

    • tcbc says:

She’s a black woman. Even without Epstein, they’d hate her.

    • sue denim says:

I think the through line is white supremacy, the monarchy being the essence of this. the sashes and tiaras and epaulets have hidden that truth for far too long, and I think H&M have ripped the veil off…

    • Shirleygailgal says:

If I hadn’t already left decades ago, I would make a big deal right now about leaving the Anglican Church (Church of England), of which she is the supposed head.

  24. Birdix says:

Still wondering what relationships a Duke has with the people of his dukedom. Do the people of York benefit from having a Duke? Or is just a name?

    • Ainsley7 says:

Some Dukes have a duchy. Charles is the Duke of Cornwall and has the duchy of Cornwall. He doesn’t own the county, but does have a ceremonial role there. Cambridge, Sussex, and York are just titles and have no real meaning for the locations involved.

  25. Seraphina says:

The stench of rotting is the devil himself. It’s the stench of the deeds they have done throughout the ages to remain in power.

Meghan and Harry are going to come out of this with a few scars but in the long run, I believe their exit will be a blessing far more then they anticipate.

    • Pineapple says:

SERAPHINA … I think you have hit the nail on the head. Protecting the Crown all these years, what is a Crown worth without ethics and morals, love and respect?
My Father was an accountant. He used to say, “There are no family businesses, just business families.” If you own a family business it is just such an integral part of that group of people. These people have obviously sunken so, so low for the family business. My Lord, I am so frigging proud of Harry. Wow.

      • Seraphina says:

Exactly right. I can’t recall the documentary but they interviewed a woman who was connected to the Russian Imperial family. It came to light how the BRF didn’t help them when the Bolsheviks had them and did NOTHING, even when asked for help. And they were related. The deeds of the past come through sometimes in other generations. All this stench is of all the nastiness they have done.

      • morrigan01 says:

        @Seraphina

The Russian Imperial Family, aka The Romanovs, were not only related by marriage to the British Royal Family (Queen Alexandra, wife of Edward VIII and Empress Maria of Russia, wife of Alexander III, were sisters), King George the V and Epmorpr Nicholas II were first cousins. And both their wives (Mary of Teck and Alexandra) were grandchildren of the later Queen VIctoria also, just like they were.

It’s why World War I was basically considered to be a family feud/war of cousins, because all those imperial houses of Europe, including the German one, were all related, usually first cousins to each other.

And yeah, King George, on the advice of his advisers/courtiers, did the Romanovs really dirty, leaving them to die at the hands of the Bolsheviks, basically in order to save their own imperial crown in England. It’s also why they changed their name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor. Nicholas was a totally inept Empropr, but he’d already abdicated his crown and he and his family had agreed to leave the country. George V basically did next to nothing to bring them over to England, and they were all shot to death in a cellar.

It’s always been about survival wrt the House of Windsor, pretty much starting from then, since they changed their family name to it. The amount of Karma they’ve built up has to be astronomical at this point. Couple that with the cycle of rise and fall that all Empires go though (and Great Britain is definitely in the “fall” stage heading into the final shrink ending), and the next few years will be interesting to watch I’m sure.

    • ChillyWilly says:

QE2’s grandfather King George Vrefused his cousin Nicholas II and his family asylum to save the monarchy. He was very close to Nicholas and considered him a friend as well as family. Parliament was going to give the Romanovs asylum but King George V let them all be murdered by the Bolsheviks only because he wanted to ensure his family stayed rich and royal. That’s some cold blooded sh!t. So, yeah there has always been something rotten AF in the House of Windsor. They will do ANYTHING to remain firmly attached to the British tax payers teat.
I mean the whole reason they started doing charity and going out to meet the public was to endear themselves to the British people so there wouldn’t be an uprising against the monarchy. They didn’t truly give a crap about anyone but themselves.
Harry and Meghan are so awesome for getting the heck outta Dodge. They are better off away from that toxic mess.

    • Guest2.0 says:

Since it’s MLK day tomorrow in the U.S., there are a lot of his quotes being floated around. When I read this quote, I immediately thought of Harry: “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” And sadly, this MLK quote applies to the BRF: “There comes a time when silence is betrayal.”

      • Seraphina says:

Guest 2.0, thank you for sharing. A beautiful quote and spot on for H&M. Very eloquently stated and appropriate.

  26. Sterkviking says:

This is outrageous. I have no respect for the queen regarding this, and can only think, how did anyone think this was okay?!

I read the DailyMail comments, and most are angry about this – which would look like Brits, right and left, do not want PA “back in the fold.”

This is incredibly tone deaf and poor timing, and I can only agree that the queen Is like the mother sitting in court for a guilty son. Some mothers live in denial, and the Queen is one of them. I hope the British public does not stand for it.

  27. MHrock says:

Let your grandson and his wife get hounded in the press for daring to breathe and not do a damn thing to stick up for them and get the Daily Mail to back off, but publicly support your pedophile son. Way to go QE2. Disgusting would be putting it mildly.

  28. Mamasan says:

Love her coat. Hate her son.🤮

  29. MellyMel says:

“There’s something deeply rotten in the House of Windsor.” Exactly this! And H&M look smarter everyday for leaving this bs behind. The optics might not look good for the Queen, but this is who she really is. I said it the other day, but this family is toxic to the core and it starts with her.

  30. I am a lurker and reads celebitchy everyday. Looking at the pictures of Andrew and his Queen mother after all the family did to Meghan. I am digusted and really hope there is a petition to abolish the monarchy. I will gladly sign

  31. Scorpio ♏️ Rants says:

I am as appalled as anyone at Andrew and believe that he can no longer represent the queen and the royal family in any way. Go back and reread that sentence 3 times before you continue. Did you? Ok.

Now……anyone who thinks a mother is going to completely turn away entirely, totally, 100% from their son and be outraged when she doesn’t is blinded to reality. She is his mother. And it’s church. Church.

As for me, I’ll just sigh deeply.

    • MsIam says:

It’s not just “church” though, it’s a staged photo-op. It’s a deliberate attempt to show PA still has the support of TQ (and by extension the rest of the royal family). This family is all about optics, especially when they want to change the topic.

      • Scorpio ♏️ Rants says:

Every time the Queen is outside the 4 walls of a castle it is a photo op. Every single time. So saying it’s “staged” is inconsequential to that fact. Unless the couriers called the press in advance of course.👍🏼

Still it’s church and there is every bit of evidence through the decades …and even anecdotal behind the scenes evidence…..that religion and church is important to her.* So I’m sure Andy is thinking “well it’s important to mum and here’s an opportunity”…..and what 92 year old mum isn’t wanting to drag their criminal, questionable, moral-less son into the house of God and hope for redemption?

Sorry but I’m still in the place of it’s dumb and futile too to be outraged over this because ….well it is what I said.

        * feel free to question the hypocrisy of that though. I do it every single dang day with religious zealots who turn a blind eye to their own racism, sexist, homophobia etc.

      • Nic919 says:

Chris Jackson took the photo and he’s an official photographer. He’s not some random paparazzi. He’s there at church because someone from BP told him to go.

      • MsIam says:

@Scorpio, but every “single time” the Queen does not take her Pedo Prince son with her to church does she? This was staged I believe as a message to the press that they should not think Andy is fair game now that the Sussexes are gone. And also to ease him back in the fold. And mighty funny she is so concerned about her foul son but could not be bothered to say two words to the press in support of her grandson’s wife. Maybe she needs to go to church twice per week then.

    • Hope says:

They also went to lunch (Lunch) the day before that, I think. And she knew to not let herself be photographed with Andrew on Christmas Day. It’s not just about being a mom. She does seem to have some understanding of optics.

    • Scorpio ♏️ Rants says:

I’m not saying you guys are completely wrong …..but I am saying as a mother it is absolutely futile to expect her to thoroughly, completely and utterly turn her back on Andrew. She simply won’t. Most mothers wouldn’t. There is absolutely nothing my son can do for me to totally cut ties with him. I may believe he is guilty of crimes, belongs in jail, no longer support him financially etc etc etc but I’d still show up on visiting day. And if I were a religious person, I’d pray for him.🤷‍♀️

      • Guest2.0 says:

“There is absolutely nothing my son can do for me to totally cut ties with him.”

I absolutely love and adore my children. I am their biggest Stan. But if they were ever guilty of something truly heinous, I would cut ties with him/her.

      • Scorpio ♏️ Rants says:

Well Guest.,,,that’s the difference between you and me. And you and the Queen. But I won’t judge your decision and you really shouldn’t judge mine. And maybe not hers.

Unconditional love exists for me. I won’t speak for anyone other than myself.

      • Complicit Queen says:

Hello Scorpion, I am going to judge you, actually. People like you let this happen; I would cut you off in a heartbeat along with your offender son. Mothers who let this happen like that’s normal, though it is common, and not like there is something deeply wrong with them too, are part of the problem.

        If it’s unconditional it’s not love, but a compulsion/addiction/dysfunction.

      • Scorpio ♏️ Rants says:

And I’ll sleep the same tonight Complicit because I live with myself…..not you. It’s between me and my own higher power…..not strangers on the internet.

      • Carmen says:

The only people who deserve unconditional love are babies.

  32. Feeshalori says:

These two hypocrites have a lot to pray for.

  33. aquarius64 says:

More stupid optics. And the Fail comment page is loaded with outrage? They act like the public has amnesia about Andrew’s ties with Esptien. The FBI hasn’t forgotten and I hope court papers reveal how deep Andrew is into this mess.

  34. S808 says:

    *tinhat on*

He’s definitely gonna be rehabbed now that m&h are gone. The Queen is probably giddy about that. When Philip passes he’ll remarry fergie. If Charles can’t convince the Sussexes to come back in 2021 I think there’s a (a very small cause we all know how Charles feels about that) shot for B&E to be working royals.

    • Oooooh. Do you think it will be a big public wedding with cheering crowds and lots of public expenditures? After all the divorced American got a big second wedding so why not Andrew and Fergie. 💣💣💣. The RR can put out headlines like: True Love Lasts, Toe Sucking is Not Just For Sissies, Graft is Even Better the Second Time Around.

  35. Rapunzel says:

I’m sure TQ and PA are on their way to the Pizza Express in Woking after the service.

Also: This story seems to have been conveniently knocked of the top of the DM by the video of Harry discussing Meg doing a voice over for charity. Coincidence? Yeah right?

  36. Jessica says:

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. He raped little girls. He raped little girls. Period.

  37. kerwood says:

THIS is why the announcement about the Sussexes came on Saturday. So the Queen could take her favourite rapist son to church on Sunday, while everybody argued about the Sussexes.

I’m sure the sex offender is playing his mother like a fiddle. And the Queen is old and probably very tired and vulnerable right now with so many things going on in her family. Her husband has CLEARLY checked out so she has no adviser for family matters. But didn’t ANYBODY see what a fatal error this is?

To quote someone above, being a rapist is okay but being Black is a crime. The Windsor family has shown that they are truly rotten to the core. If this is acceptable to the British media AND the British people, then they are JUST AS ROTTEN and they have the royal family they deserve.

  38. Bluenoser says:

This was clearly done with intent. The Queen is not being tone deaf – that suggests she doesn’t understand the nuances of the situation. Of course she understands. She just doesn’t give a f*ck. They are all a nest of vipers.

  39. Bohemian Angel says:

Nothing will happen to Andrew, he will go back to public duties in the next few weeks and it will be spun that he was needed because Harry and Meghan ‘abandoned’ the family. Beatrice might just get her big wedding to bring the country together in celebration of one of our ‘princesses’ getting married and we must all bow down to her and celebrate her big day. The York sisters may even get to be working royals because Harry and Meghan ‘abandoned’ the family. William and Kate will still do the bare minimum as much as they can get away with. Kate will become pregnant with baby no4 to show she is loyal and willing to help the family push Harry and Archie further away from the crown. They will all live a bright white existence and that will be how they live.
One problem with us Brits; we complain A LOT and might become outraged but we never take action, that family will go on for many a year yet! Sadly!

    • Right. I can see the headlines now:

Andrew forced back in to public life because Meghan took our Harry away.
Poor Andrew couldn’t do the right thing because Meghan forced Harry to Quit.
Is Meghan to blame for Andrew being tossed about in his royal role.

      • Bohemian Angel says:

They will blame Meghan for whatever they can. They will play on the right wing monachist sympathy ‘our poor queen was bullied’ etc and use it to bring Andrew back out to resume his duties. This family could get away with murder, and the peasants would still bow and sing how gracious their beloved queen is!
I’m certain if one of the Cambridge kids turns out to be wayward and unruly it will be Meghan’s fault for ‘abandoning’ the family and taking Harry with her, and their poor parents were put to work leaving no time to spend with the children.

  40. MeghanNotMarkle says:

I’m disappointed but not at all surprised. Any admiration I had for TQ went out the window a while ago.

  41. Chaine says:

Despite being American, from childhood I admired the queen because she was one of the few women prominent on the world stage (at that time I didn’t have any understanding of how limited was her actual leadership role). But at this point in my life, wow, all I can think is “What an awful person” flaunting her rapist son in public so proudly.

  42. aquarius64 says:

The Fail has re-acquired the Yorks at targets. Yeah it blames the Sussexes BUT what’s loss in the sauce that the BBC and ITV is NOT televising Bea’s wedding. That has to hack off Andy and Fergie. It will also will focus if Harry and Meghan will be invited. Bonus: the Fail implied trouble in paradise; Edo is TOO close to his baby mama for Bea’s liking.

The sound you hear is the karma bus being gassed up on the House of Windsor

  43. Rapunzel says:

Here’s a thought though: TQ can try and force PedoAndy back on the public, but what if the public doesn’t want him? He was getting dropped like hot potatoes before they made him quit. Charities and companies like banks may be smarter than TQ and realize that PA is toxic… like, even Pizza Express wouldn’t hire him for a campaign, lol.

Wanting him back to normal doesn’t mean he will get back to normal.

  44. Rena says:

    This bish can get bent

  45. Emily says:

Is she brain dead? All of this bad press. All the comparisons to how H&M are being treated vs. Andrew and she is STILL running the “Andrew is a good boy” campaign.

  46. Sparkly says:

Didn’t even wait a week. I can’t believe I used to actually respect her. Disgusting.

  47. Annemr says:

So, I’m finally just about to finish season 3 of The Crown and that show generally makes me love the royal family. I know it’s not all true/fact but I enjoy the spin they often put on QEII. So part of me is struggling to reconcile my enjoyment of that somewhat fictional version and this really sh!tty reality. Is that weird? Like, I don’t even want to finish the season because it makes me crazy that I like the people they are in the show. Ugh, I really enjoyed the ignorant bliss of believing the best of these people… but they really do suck.

  48. Anne says:

I literally laughed out loud when I read the tittle of this article. What an A-level shade. Masterwork, Kaiser!

  49. Pants says:

There are lots of reasons H&M want out this toxic family but distancing themselves from Prince Andrew has to be close to the top. So much of what Megan does supports girls and women. I can’t see her being able to live with herself and be seen as part of the Queen’s support. Yes she hasn’t said anything openly against Andrew. H & M have been thankfully and rightfully absent from the Queen’s shows of support. I don’t believe the tabloids putting all the blame on Megan. I can definitely see her telling Harry ’nope nope nope nope we can’t be a part of this’. Actions speak louder than words. Megan is like I’m out. I love her for it!

    • kerwood says:

Agreed, @Pants. I’m sure this is the reason the Sussexes tapped out of Christmas with this dreadful family. Why would she expose her sweet, innocent baby to that festering cesspool, that us her husband’s family. That’s probably why she left Archie in Canada. So he would be thousands of miles away from all of those rape apologists.

  50. liriel says:

I get mother’s love is unconditional but that’s on the inside.
I don’t understand. WHY this photo op?! Can someone explain this to me? Why not a photo op with ANY other royal or a dog? Or why not a photo op by Charles and others?
It’s terrible PR. Could someone explain this to me?

  51. Faye G says:

Wow what a rotten family! The queen especially, there are no words to express my loathing and disgust for her actions here. Choosing a pedophile over her philanthropic grandson, that’s just low. I know she’s old but, if she can’t run the business right, she should retire. Harry and Megan are so smart to get out, I see the Monarchy not lasting much longer after the Queen passes.

  52. Nyro says:

In the span of three years, I’ve gone from literally having no real opinion on this woman to actually disliking her and everything she stands for. What a disgusting display. The whole world is watching and seeing these people for exactly what they are. I’m so glad harry and Meghan have removed themselves from this sh%t show.

  53. Valiantly Varnished says:

Deeply rotten – and it starts with QE herself.

    • Call_me_al says:

Agreed, VV. There is a sickness and dysfunction in this family that cannot be healed as long as the individuals in it continue to put “the monarchy” above their personal integrity and health. One cannot serve two masters. Exactly why Harry and Meghan are out.

  54. Wolfy says:

The woman is 93 years old. Some cognitive decline is inevitable. I’m sure she is stressed with Charles, William and Harry right now. All the while, slithering snake Andrew is all ” I understand Mummy. I’m here for you.”

    • Hope says:

She understood clearly enough when Andrew wasn’t allowed to come to the second church service on Christmas Day.

  55. adastraperaspera says:

“Why, dear me, any kind of royalty, howsoever modified, any kind of aristocracy, howsoever pruned, is rightly an insult; but if you are born and brought up under that sort of arrangement you probably never find it out for yourself, and don’t believe it when somebody else tells you.”
~Mark Twain, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court

  56. Le4Frimaire says:

Well this is the sort of thing the royal reporters will be spinning from now on. The Sussexes are moving on, and so are a lot of us from this. Some things you just can’t condone, and supporting this man Andrew is just the absolute worst.

  57. THEREALME says:

i don’t know with all the anger here if anyone will even read another point of view but……..first if we become a society where we “punish” people without due process we will soon fall apart. Do I think that Andrew should be taken to court – yes. but until that time we cannot as a society simply start to say what should happen to someone until the process is played out And I don’t mean proven guilty due to television interviews. Saying someone is a rapist without due process is just so wrong. He has the right to due process and at the very least the right to attend church with his mother. The vitriol here against a 93 year old going to church with her son is stunning.

    • Carmen says:

The vitriol is against a woman who fawns all over her pedophile favorite son while giving her grandson and his bi-racial wife the back of her hand.

    • Ames says:

For due process to apply, there needs to BE a process.

Andrew will never even come close to answering for what he’s (allegedly… sure, why not) done and everybody knows it.

Not to mention, Andrew has been living waaaay above his means for decades and nobody really knows where he gets the money for it. Meanwhile, they’re twisting their knickers over Frogmore like Meghan personally swiped money out of the queen’s purse when she wasn’t looking.

It’s infuriating – and rightly so.

    • Lady D says:

I don’t think I have the right to decide what happens to him, but I do have the right to say I don’t want to see or support him in society. He is an unrepentant menace.

    • Complicit Queen says:

Well I, for one, never have any emotions about anything until a COURT of LAW in our amazing legal system says I can, and that’s why I live in this cave with nothing but shadows on a wall for company, and definitely not in the real world where we see this shit play out all the time.

  58. Mego says:

Should we be surprised? She has welcomed the Trump clan twice with a 100 watt smile on her face. Anyone remember her smiling at Harry and Meghan’s wedding?

  59. Jaded says:

I very much doubt that anyone with half a brain will want to have anything to do with Prince Pedo. Mummy can trot him out for church photos and so forth but he is utterly toxic now and anyone other than sleazy middle-eastern potentates and Russian oligarchs will certainly not want to be tarnished by his reputation.

    • carmen says:

I feel sorry for his daughter and the implications of his appearance at her upcoming wedding.

  60. Ames says:

Has it occurred to England’s sh1t-stirring, trash-peddling press that constantly using the phrase “car crash” in reporting on the relentlessly stupid dumpster fire that is the royal family might be just a smidge insensitive?

(Okay, I’m not actually wondering about that – I’m almost certain they do it on purpose.)

  61. Carmen says:

Attagirl, Liz. Kick your grandson and his black wife to the curb while you fawn all over your rapist pedo son. Any residual respect I had for this old bat went right down the toilet.

  62. Lilly (with the double-L) says:

What I keep in my mind is:
“The woman Prince Andrew has said he doesn’t remember meeting told her story during an interview with the BBC, reiterating her allegations that he had sex with her three times two decades ago when she was 17.

In the process, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, 36, an American who now lives in Australia, appealed to the British public to believe her accusations and not Andrew’s denials.

‘I implore the people in the U.K. to stand up beside me and help me fight this fight, to not accept this as being OK,’ she said in a clip released by the BBC Monday. ‘This is not some sordid sex story, this is a story of being trafficked…'”

It’s a story of human trafficking and I support Virginia and all trafficked girls and women. I hope she’s able to avoid these stories and pictures. It’s so traumatizing to see the abusers living their best life and can feel like no one believes you and that justice never happens in the world. TQ could support her son, and be blind like mothers can be, without making it a worldwide photo opportunity, if she chose to. I love that H&M keep putting a spotlight on these and other important issues.

  63. Senator Fan says:

The pics and the smiles while going to church and the messaging it sends to the world. It is beyond words! Beyond reproach and excuse. To say it’s tone deaf is untrue. The Queen isn’t that stupid or naive. And neither is Charles and I think she knows that she’s on borrowed time to get his image rehabbed because when Charles is in charge Pedo’s a goner. She’s choosing to try and rehab his image before she croaks so he can be brought back into the fold, family and to resume his duties. And for the eventual remarriage of Pedo & Fergie once Phillip has passed. I suspect we’ll get lots of articles on Pedo and his daughters in the coming days and months leading up to the wedding of his daughter. I don’t think she’s listening to her aides or advisors because no one would advise this, no one. She’s on her own, going rogue for her Pedo son. She believes him and that is her messaging and belief. So much so that she is not only supporting him privately but publicly too for the world to see.
Loving your son unconditionally and supporting him is one thing. But he has been publicly accused of raping an under age girl who was procured for sex trafficking by an elite group of wealthy, connected and powerful people. Children were trafficked all over the world and the people involved to keep it going for so many years have to be at the highest levels across the board. Law enforcement, customs and border patrol, government, politicians, etc. These people are so well insulated because of their wealth and power and appear untouchable. Virginia isn’t being quiet and I hope she never is. I hope all of the other victims speak up and keep speaking up. I also hope the FBI doesn’t give up and blows this wide open. I hope and pray charges are forthcoming for all involved.
The Queen has to know non-sweating glands and pizza parlours are not a defense in the real world or a court of law.

  64. Liz version 700 says:

This is gross. So incredibly gross. Run of the mixed race family and show off the sec pest. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

  65. NΞΞNΔ ZΞΞ says:

You wrote that Andrew “gets to sit in his mansion and do nothing and escort his mother to church” and I think you’re missing the point. Meghan and Harry don’t want to do that. They want to use their platform for good. And the endless church walks… well, need I saw more?

    • Ames says:

It isn’t about what Harry and Meghan do or don’t want to participate in.

On behalf of the perpetually outraged tax-paying public, the British press is nickel-and-diming Frogmore while ignoring the fact that Andrew has never done much of anything to justify his royal “income.”

  66. Ann says:

Does anyone have insight into the relationship between Charles and Andrew and how this will all play out when the Queen dies and Charles becomes King? Predictions anyone? I’m genuinely curious.

    • Molly says:

Once Charles is King, Andrew’s DONE. Charles has unsuccessfully tried to bench Andrew for years. At this point I really don’t care for the Brits or their Royal Family.

  67. Ann says:

Does anyone have insight into the relationship between Charles and Andrew and how Andrew’s future will play out when the Queen dies and Charles becomes King? Predictions anyone? I’m genuinely curious.

  68. Starryfish says:

This family is well and truly whacked, they deserve each other. Getting out is the best thing M&H could have done for their family. It warms my heart that after all the shit he went through and bad decisions he made in the past, Harry is the one turned out to be the only decent one in the bunch, it seems he really put in the work to change for the better. I hope he and Meghan go on to raise a very happy family and lead fulfilling lives away from this dysfunctional bunch.

  69. Deedee says:

She needs to hide him back in the attic. She has unleashed the Kraken with that monstrosity if a son.

  70. lily says:

Disgusting. I am glad Harry and Meghan got away from these creeps.

  71. Complicit Queen says:

I swear there is a PR agency the MeToo predators use and rule one is now to get in everyone’s face as much as possible so that everyone gets used to you. This is actually something nu-right guru Scott Adams says to do in his Dogbert life guide book, except there he was talking about conservative jokes. He has a whole chapter on it. Really.

Of course, just keep living and offending and everyone will get used to you doesnt work if people dont agree with your values in the first place, as we saw with Meghan being the UK media scapegoat.

Concept: The Queen wasnt loved as a child; so never loved him, and that’s part of why he’s like this, and why she can’t actually acknowledge what he did was wrong, and act accordingly. Love doesnt make you blind, a codependent addiction to your child-spouse makes you blind. Very very very common to see a whole family and community rally around an abuser instead of dealing with the problem, and always tragic.

  72. Dorothy says:

She’s going to die HATED she deserves a spit in the face at this point Utter trash

  73. Travelin says:

I really was surprised to see that she would publicly support him. And to do it now? I was pretty neutral on the queen and didn’t know much about her. I became a fan of The Crown on Netflix and my respect was high. But the way she has handled this mess? She did nothing to support Harry and Meghan. And I fell that the latest news has really punished them! And to bring out Andy?! She is awful.

Also I don’t feel that we can ascribe the same motherly feelings that is peons have. This is a woman who has to have an aide tell her that it was her sons birthday. She is not a loving mother.
