Prince Harry finally flew to Vancouver Island to reunite with Meghan & Archie

archie harry2

As a Sussex-defender, I know I’m not supposed to say this but wow, I was actually pretty concerned about the fact that the Royal Family seemingly trapped Prince Harry in London for nearly two weeks while Meghan and Archie were back in Canada. Meghan flew back to Canada just after the Sussexit was announced on January 8th. The plan was that Harry would stay in London for a matter of days and hopefully hammer out the bare bones Sussexit deal and then fly back to Meghan and Archie within a week. But the family kept him there for two weeks, working at a snail’s pace on the deal and encouraging him to make appearances. My concern was that the palaces are nests of vipers and that various people were probably telling Harry that instead of “abandoning” the royal family, he just needed to abandon his wife and child.

Well, it didn’t work. It was never going to work. You know why? Because as soon as Meghan and Harry knew they were leaving, it was like a huge weight off their shoulders. They were both so happy. Harry had already made up his mind and I’m proud of him for knowing his own mind and refusing to be manipulated by the vipers. Harry flew out of England yesterday and he’s back on Canadian soil:

Prince Harry has arrived in Canada to reunite with Meghan and baby Archie after the couple finalized the terms of their split from official British royal family duties. Photos in UK media showed Harry walking off a plane early Tuesday on Vancouver Island, where the family spent time over Christmas.

The Duke of Sussex attended the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London on Monday, where he met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, before flying across the Atlantic. A royal spokesperson told CNN they would not comment on the family’s private schedule.

So, family time with Meghan and Archie in Vancouver Island and then what? We don’t know. But Meghan is such a planner, I’m sure she’s figured out where they’ll set up their permanent homebase. Toronto or Vancouver, I would assume. And maybe a pied-à-terre in New York or LA? Who even knows.

Also: TMZ had this bizarre story about how Meghan is a next-level political Instagrammer and she’s been putting subtle “political” messages in SussexRoyal IGs for months. Which… duh. Of course she has. Did TMZ just notice that?

Unfortunately, the bad press is still on. Someone forgot to turn the switch off.

      • VS says:

I don’t get it! there was a reception yesterday will all the white RF……..why aren’t reporters focused on that? H&M said No to all of that shit; why can’t be left alone from now on?
        This is obsession, obsession!!!

As Kaiser, Meghan is a planner. She will probably lay low for a couple of weeks but those two already have something planed; the woman is very smart so I am not worried about them! As MO said, your spouse is a team player, no weak player on her team. It is as if Harry understood that by marrying a strong team player

      • Ainsley7 says:

This was never going to make the RR stop covering the Sussexes. It just means the Sussexes no longer have to personally deal with the RR at their events. The RR are still going to cover everything the Sussexes do, but the info will all be second hand now.

      • VS says:

meant to say with* all the white RF…….

      • VS says:

Not all; I just found this article https://www.thedailybeast.com/meghan-markle-is-showing-girls-how-a-modern-cinderella-rolls?ref=scroll

WOW, I wonder where the people those article were when the storm was shitting all over Meg? finally some truths are coming out!

      • liriel says:

I agree with some points of the articles but I think it was confirmed that Meghan really wanted to be a princess, she liked the fairy tale but when it turned out not to be so great she had enough.

      • VS says:

@liriel —– if she really wanted to be a princess she would have stayed and convinced H to say.

I think she saw the platform as something that could be harness to achieve good and help impact lives……. look at Kate M, she has a platform that is going to waste….that’s so shameful; compared her to Diana or Meghan, she just seems so incompetent, my goodness.

I think Camilla can do more as well. She has a huge platform as well; she is already doing a lot but I think she can be more bold in what she does……….what is the point of having such a huge platform and doing nothing with it?

Look at Michelle O, look at Oprah, look at Serene W? my goodness, I love the US ( I know I am 100% biased here……but Diana seemed to be more American than British in what she wanted to accomplish…..I am biased LOL). Anyway, what do I know? LOL

      • BabsORIG says:

@VS,that article is awesome. I just knew before I even clicked that it not a Tom Syke article. Great read.

      • Sasha says:

        @liriel
Where was it confirmed that Meghan always wanted to be a princess?
The only people who’ve ever said that were her so-called “family” who want desperately to hop on the gravy train.
That’s so far from confirmed it’s laughable.

      • Yeah. Harry walking across a airport tarmac at night and Meghan walking the dogs seems to be more important than the Cambridge’s official hosting duties last night. Just a thought, but those must be some seriously long range lens the photographer has on both Harry and Meghan. The tabloids probably have several full time photographers who are going to try and trail the Sussexes every move.

      • TeamAwesome says:

Re: Camilla- she supports some very important issues, but they don’t get the media blitz that the younger royals enjoy.

All I’m gonna say is welcome to yr new home Harry, Meg and little Archie. I’m one Canadian that’s thankful that you chose Canada to call yr home. This great country that we now call Canada is a country of immigrants. The First Nations peoples shed blood, lost lives and everything but are still gracious enough to share this great country with no bitterness towards immigrants and I say thank you. Meghan lived here before she met Harry and she was very happy here. My hope and prayer is that Harry is happy in his new home. I’m sure Archie will love it here, Canada is a great place to live and to raise children. Finally, I hope and pray that Harry and Meghan succeed in all they do, become very proud and productive citizens of this country and give back as much to this country that I’m sure has welcomed them with open arms and open minds. Wish them the best this beautiful country and Beautiful British Columbia has got to offer. Welcome home Sussexes.

This really made me tear up. I am American and has always loved Canada. I was so taken by how nice everyone was and now more than ever want to move there. As a Black woman in America this is a particularly dark and dangerous time. To read these words- just shows are far we are gone.

    • I. Just want to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo of Archie and Harry taken in Canada.

  2. Eliza_ says:

Glad the family is back together. They can begin their new start finally.

Meghan needed to strap the carrier correctly, straps fallen off her shoulder. Archie is not supported by carrier and she’s using one had to hold him up, but while walking 2 dogs. Not an ideal scenario for safety for baby or dogs. If I were her I’d be freaking out, but obviously with paps there she couldn’t show it on her face.

    • Ali says:

      Ah the mom shamers

      • EB says:

Call me a mom shamer if you must, but if I see a kid strapped incorrectly in a carrier or car seat (esp forward-facing too young), I’ll say something because there are real consequences to using those devices improperly.

      • Myra says:

        Baby carrier police….Alert

        Mom shamers are THE WORST.

      • Liz version 700 says:

The daily mail had a whole story devoted to mom shaming Meghan about her straps and the baby. Maybe she was protecting him from the photographers People need lives. The daily mail needs deliverance.

    • Scal says:

I’m hoping she just unclipped him for the last few feet to walk back to the car and he got the wiggles. But that yes that baby is in that carrier all wrong. I don’t even think he’s snapped in you can see the strap under his arm. He’s falling out.

      • Eliza_ says:

        Dup.

      • Eliza_ says:

I’m not shaming. We’ve all been there where something has gone wrong. More point out she had to keep smiling or the headline would be different. Imagine if in the pictures she’s concerned and panicking… they’d say she regretted her decision. I doubt she unclipped it before putting the dogs in the car.

    • Mac says:

Just stop with the concern trolling.

    • VS says:

Here is a member of the mom brigade police……………….those paparazzi pictures were taken from very very far……..I don’t think we should encourage them by sharing

Hope those who are Americans had a happy MLK day yesterday

      • So. says:

Same paparazzi agency used by the Kadarshians, all smiles Meghan, looks like a PR stunt to me….

      • Beach Dreams says:

Did you expect her to have a scowl on her face??

      • VS says:

@so……….did you expect her to be cryingggggggggg!!!! if then that would have made you happy right! well she is showing you all haters, the finger!

I hope she continues, her entire existence made some of you unhappy. No matter if she is in the UK or elsewhere. The fact that you know she exists just makes you unhappy……..well you will just have to learn to deal with it!

      • Chrissyms says:

They are going to be even more exposed and photographed now. The royals enjoy privacy in their downtime. I suspect that they wanted this in a way. It’s a way to promote. No shade. But the peaceful life privacy thing didn’t really ring true to me. She probably unstrapped him at the end of the walk. Those pictures probably represented like 30 seconds. I am sure if she was in a real pickle those 2 large security guards behind her would have stepped in . Glad she has been reunited with her doggies.

      • Bubbs says:

        They are Splash news pics

      • Nahema says:

Wow @VS, why so salty? @so. isn’t a hater, they’re just pointing out that this looks very much set up… which is does.

      • kinkajoo says:

Everyone knows the deal here, I don’t know some pretend not to.

      • notasugarhere says:

They’ve already filed a complaint about photos taken in Canada. Sorry tumblr, you’ll have to spin your lies elsewhere.

    • lucia says:

      Please just shut up.

    • Maevo says:

I wonder if she had him forward facing and then hastily turned him around once she noticed they were being photographed because the way he’s strapped in is pretty weird. Though I also tend to think this was staged so she shouldn’t have been caught off guard…🤷🏼‍♀️

      • GuestWho says:

why do you think it is staged?

      • Maevo says:

I just assumed she wanted pics of her happily in their new life to be public but it looks like they’re threatening to sue over them so I stand corrected!!

    • Busyann says:

I’m not a mom so I called my mom to ask her if this was a normal way to carry a baby and she was like “noooooo, Archie is too big to be carried. He needs to be in a stroller.” I agree but then I thought maybe he is turned like this for security? I mean, it would be easier for a deranged sicko to harm Archie if he was correctly positioned like all babies right?

      Other quick thoughts –
I think they will lay low for a few weeks and then come out with something incredible.

I keep wondering why they selected Victoria , but I have a hunch it’s because they are ultimately aiming for LA. LA from Victoria is a lot easier commute than NY to LA.

      • Jen says:

Vancouver Island is the best climate in the country and luxurious and beautiful, that’s most likely why.

      • dd says:

Your mom is right. He should be in a stroller at his age or at least facing out.

      • rosie says:

@dd @busyann 8-month old babies can absolutely still be facing inwards, especially if they’re sleeping or feeling unsure. And certain babies prefer to be snuggled up to their mom. Saying an 8-month old baby should be in a stroller is SO antiquated. Come on now. Babywearing has proven to be beneficial for mom and baby.

      • MsIam says:

Seems like it would be hard to hold dog leashes and maneuver a stroller. So Im guessing a carrier would leave her hands free. But like others have said she had security with her so I don’t think Archie was in any danger. Plus, some people are acting like H&M went into witness protection and should never be seen out and about. They are going to live their normal lives and since their are photographers about they will probably be photos.

      • Lindy says:

What?! That’s not true at all. I still occasionally wear my 20 month old facing in like that because we’re out and about and he wants to nap, or he needs some extra mama snuggles. I also wear him on my back, he sometimes rides in the stroller, and he loves to run and walk, too. I did the same with my oldest who’s now 10 years old. I get that the straps look wonky in that photo of Meg and Archie but I get seriously tired of mom shaming. She’s not going to drop him. Anyone who’s ever used any kind of baby carrier knows that it can look a bit crazy when you’re in the middle of strapping in or out.

      • Cooper says:

DDoS and WE escaped the BM to start a fresh new life, can WE PULEASE NOT start that judgemental, pick her to pieces, lying, racist, tabloid BULL $#!+. Why TF are people wasting air, space, time gossiping AGAIN about how DoS is holding HER freaking baby, geez. I was enjoying the comments until they turned into the DailyFail section.

      • McMom says:

Oh nonsense – I carried my babies at well past 8 months. I preferred wearing them to strollers because 1) it’s better exercise for me 2) it kept my hands free and 3) it’s good for bonding and kept them settled. I noticed with my elder son that the more I wore him during the day, the better he slept at night. I think it made him feel more secure.

    • Mtec says:

      @Eliza
Archie might not look supported by the carrier, but he does look supported by his mother’s arm. (And the other strap is very much on her shoulder and he’s tied around her waist, so no, it’s not just her “one hand” holding him up).

To me it clearly looks like he’s resting his head on her right arm and from what we can see he seems pretty secure, calm, not crying, showing no signs of discomfort, and Meghan looks relaxed, and so do her dogs and I doubt she would be holding on to them while walking with her baby if she thought they would misbehave in a dangerous way.

      • Yvette says:

@Mtec, agreed. Looking at the photo, Meghan looks correctly harnessed and strapped. It also appears that the little jacket held against Archie’s back may be hiding his strap. It also looks to me as if she’s attempting to hide Archie as well.

I don’t know why women insist on Mommy Shaming other women.

      • Laura-j says:

I was gonna say my mom used to carry me and walk a dog and I turned out aok… I’m guessing she isn’t alone either and everything is secure.

One of the reasons I didn’t have kids… Mom shamers

    • Kebbie says:

She held him at the exact same angle when she was at that polo game. Maybe he likes laying that way against her body. Maybe she, as his mother, knows what’s best for her son. Maybe everyone critiquing her, people who have never held or cared for the kid, don’t know what is best for him.

      • Sunshine says:

Thank goodness she is escaping. Some of you women are awful… particularly to other women. As a mother of 3 – I do not want unsolicited advice and I don’t give it. I suggest you do the same. She does what works for HER and HER CHILD. As for the pap photos- their lawyer is on it. And to the hater above that says the Kardashians use splas, also know that Splash was sued by the Sussexes previously and they won 2 million from them and the Sun got a helicopters stunt. STOP quoting tabloids.

      • Kebbie says:

Did you reply to the wrong person? The only unsolicited advice I gave was to people who think they know better than his own mom.

      • Also, remember the photos of Diana with her boys on that island beach photography. There were also photos released of just how far away the photographers were and it was EXTREMELY far. I’m sure photographer who got those shots of Meghan was very far away. If she wanted a pap shot surely he would have been allowed much closer and the photos would be more in focus and less grainy. I’m just not buying her involvement here.

      • windyriver says:

Sony makes a well-regarded consumer grade (non-professional, available to anyone) camera with a huge 600mm reach. It’s all-in-one camera and lens, essentially a bulky point and shoot. A bit pricey, but not extravagantly so. Nikon makes one that goes to an astonishing 3000mm (yes, 3 zeroes). Very common are pro and consumer cameras using lenses in the 200-400 mm range, often used for things like birds in flight and other wildlife (think safari). Advances in technology mean photos at the long end aren’t as grainy as they once were. Most of these could be used to take invasive pictures from a great distance, and it would be impossible for most people to tell how close or far the photographer was.

    • Tess says:

Oh my goodness! Have you carried a large baby in one of these? This is just a second in time and there are so many reasons why she might have removed that strap, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to use a baby carrier for goodness sake. After a long time carrying you sometimes need to shift the weight for a few minutes. Or maybe Archie was getting wiggly and didn’t want to be fully cinched in after being taken out. There are so many reasons why that strap isn’t on her shoulder. He’s not a newborn and it’s just one photo with no context for us at all. She knows her dogs, she knows her baby, she knows her body. This is not a disaster waiting to happen by any stretch.

    • Virginia says:

@EB “Call me a mom shamer if you must, but if I see a kid strapped incorrectly in a carrier or car seat (esp forward-facing too young), I’ll say something because there are real consequences to using those devices improperly”
Don’t hate me but I agreed 100% with EB, l love M&H but please strap Archie properly.

    • Joanna says:

      ..never mind

  3. Ali says:

I am so happy for the Sussexes.

    Now they can work.

    • Lucy De Blois says:

I would be ever more happy if many wishes expressed here had became true. Like the press is going to concentrate on W&C… or the frocks of Kate… But as I see, the s***t is still going on; I don’t know if it’s just tiredness but DM today seems particularly vicious on attacking H&M.

    • girl_ninja says:

They’ve been working since they came into the scene as a couple.

    • coolspray says:

I certainly hope they do, and fast. And I hope they have the integrity NOT to take public funds paid by Cdn tax payers to foot their security bill. Time will tell if they walk the walk.

      • Greywacke says:

Why in the world would Canada now pay for security for non-working royals who no longer represent the Commonwealth? This isn’t even an issue anymore, right? And it isn’t like Canadian tax dollars are a zero sum game where it is either pay for H&M’s security or support First Nations people. If you want to the government to do more more for the latter, then fretting about H&M won’t help your cause, albeit a very worthy one!

      • carmen says:

Not sure if this is fact or fiction but the Fail printed an update on the security situation and said that M&H currently have UK & RCMP protection officers. Somehow they were able to tell from a photo that one individual was RCMP….

  4. Belli says:

    I’m so happy for them!

They must be so relieved to be finally out and ready to start their next chapter.

Whatever respect I had for the rest of that family had vanished over the last few months.

  5. TeamAwesome says:

The pap was in the trees with a long range lense, which I’m guessing we can expect more of now? Although I guess the Sussex PR team could have set these up.

Also, keep Archie hidden until a first birthday pic, fine, but can we PLEASE get confirmation of the black dog’s name???

    • Mimi says:

Why do you need to know the name of their dog?

      • TeamAwesome says:

Dang, simmer down. Clearly I don’t NEED to know the name of their dog, but as a dog mom I am way more interested in that pupper than the mom shamers are in telling Meghan she doesn’t know how to hold her child. So, a fair amount, tongue firmly in cheek.

    • Rapunzel says:

I kinda hope Meg did set these up to show the haters how happy she is, and to subtly show the Cambs that she can outshine them even in CA. And purposefully distract from the Cambs’ event. It would be deliciously petty.

But I don’t think she’d use Archie for a setup.

    • yep says:

It’s a pap stroll. Simple as that. She is looking at the camera and smiling. Nice to see that the need for privacy suddenly disappeared and now we can see Archie AND the dogs in the same frame.

      • Mich says:

Oh for goodness sake. The grainy quality of those pictures indicates that they were likely taken from very far away. She was likely looking around and they only released the ones where it looks like she sees them. It is quite possible that she didn’t know they were there. What do you want her to do? Lock herself in Archie in a closet?

      • Flamingo says:

One must never say anything negative about Meghan on this site. I think she looks very happy and content, but I agree that these are not long range shots. Someone from her team called the paparazzi, but that’s okay. That’s what celebrities do.

      • Josephine says:

I doubt Harry has forgotten that his mom was killed while attempting to stay away from the paps. Killed. He doesn’t strike me as someone eager to use their services.

      • GuestWho says:

Ah, the tumblr mavens have arrived for their morning consipracy dissemination. Just stop. She’s not going to stay inside, and the photographers are laying in wait. Incredibly unlikely she set this up. In fact, it’s ridiculous.

      • Bella DuPont says:

        @ Flamingo

Considering the mountain of negativity there is about Meghan in the papers and social media, I’m always surprised to find commenters here, disappointed that they aren’t being torn to shreds here as well. I mean, just how much more abuse do you think is warranted? It’s baffling.

But for the record, they get their fair share of criticism on this site, whenever there is a genuine reason for it. But some people are so addicted to seeing them vilified, that anything short of that doesn’t seem enough to them.

For now, they seem happy and content, let’s at least give them a little respite from the never ending criticisms and cynicism. ✌️👍

      • Mtec says:

        @Flamingo
Is not that you “can’t say anything bad about Meghan on this site” is that at least if you’re gonna be a critic it’s gotta have some merit, even for a gossip site. But commenters like yourself and @Yep take one tiny thing you can’t possibly be sure of and blow it out of proportion and act like it’s proven fact—even when other commenters meet y’all’s claims with logic, and sometimes even refute it with proof, y’all refuse to see it, and purposely like to stay ignorant and misinformed just so that you can concern troll or criticize Meghan specifically.

      • Ennie says:

The papa do have professional cameras that take hundreds of pics in a very short time. There is no point in a pap walk.

      • betsyh says:

@Bella du Pont, Well put. I agree.

      • Mtec says:

        @Yep
There are, unfortunately, other pap shots and a video from that hike that show she’s smiling and looking over at the car there to pick them up. Not at the paps as you say. So no, it’s not a “simple as that,” it’s not pap stroll PR.

It’s also been reported the paps have been camped out outside their home, and that some were in the trees with long lenses trying to get these shots. And also that the Sussexes are threatening to sue the paps over invasion of privacy. So there goes your theory you like to throw/troll around as fact.

      • kerwood says:

@Flamingo, why does the fact that this ONE site supports Meghan upset folks like you so much? Should the whole world hate and condemn her as much as you? Is the woman not allowed a few friends in this world?

I often wonder about the kind of person that would hate a woman they don’t know so much that the idea that some people DON’T hate her is offensive? What did she do, other than being born half-Black and marrying a Prince? And is the same hate directed towards the royal child rapist?

      • notasugarhere says:

kerwood, the tumblr crowd and Kate stans have targeted CB for years. Before Meghan was even on the scene. CB and Kaiser have been consistent, hilarious critics of W&K and their media games for years. The Kate stans have bullied so many other Kate critical sites, but CB and Kaiser hold strong. It drives the tumblrs crazy, but there it is.

      • Bookworm says:

Not to be too dim, but are tumblrs the same as blogs, like this? Posts and comments or what?

        Yes, I’m old.

      • notasugarhere says:

tumblr is a free, easy site where you can host your own small blog under fake names. Pretty much a free-for-all that let the racists, haters, and bottom dwellers run rampant.

      • aria says:

if its indeed staged pap, they cant sue. please learn some basic lesson about laws. if this is staged and they sued the press, the press will counter sue them back .

    • Nic919 says:

They have already issued a warning to the paps for setting up with long range lenses outside their current location so she didn’t call them up to do this. We already had stories of the charter boat operator refusing to give a ride to foreign paparazzi a few days ago, so it’s ridiculous to suggest that she would hire photographers from another continent to get a fuzzy long range photo where people are already commenting on how she’s holding her baby incorrectly.

      • .whatever. says:

        Nic919 –

Wait, hold the front door …so *now* “fuzzy long-range photos” is an acceptable reason for pictures not being staged?

Remember those all those blurry ‘candids’ of Kate that were posted on social media last year? People here were absolutely adamant that were all staged photos even though they looked like they were taken from a behind a bush, miles away on an old Nokia 7650 by a drunk alien who had just discovered the joy’s of image-taking devices and only showed her side or back profile. Thats an epic u-turn. PMSL.

      • Maria says:

I don’t know anything about long-range cameras etc. But I think part of what made us feel they were staged was because William allowed them to run in the press and usually he doesn’t allow that.

      • notasugarhere says:

This, Nic919. They’re already filing complaints and doing whatever they can to shut down the pap shots.

      • nic919 says:

Wait are you referring to the pics from the airport with the kids where William and Kate never made a complaint? As opposed to the pics of the kids when Kate was shopping and were then pulled?
If a picture is published in a UK paper and there is no complaint made then it is tacit approval. So nice try on that spin.

    • Diane says:

When did all these Negative Nelly commenters show up? This site is ones of the few with reasonable people trafficking it but it seems the H & M posts have drawn a certain ilk.

      • Mtec says:

        @Diane
I think people have been tired of their bs on Twitter and IG and so unfortunately they’ve been slowly trickling over to here.

      • notasugarhere says:

The tumblr crowd has been infiltrating CB for awhile now. They’re easy to spot, but they go away once we point out facts.

    • Olive says:

demanding confirmation of a A DOG’S NAME. wtf.

    • Bookworm says:

The article referred to the dog as Oz.

      • notasugarhere says:

I think Meghan and Harry refuted that at a public engagement. A tabloid published the name, someone in a crowd asked them, and they denied that was the dog’s name.

  6. Originaltessa says:

Walking two dogs and a baby carrier? Never attempted that. Hope she didn’t have an itch.

    • Shirleygailgal says:

I had two German Shepherd dogs when I gave birth. I walked my son in his snuggie, with two dogs on leash way back in the ’80’s. It’s been done before, and is perfectly do-able, itchy or not.

      • Ohpioneer says:

Try that trick with two toddlers in place of the dogs ( not on leashes mommy shamers but being held by their hands), and you have my life way back when. Lol. How very annoying that just as I’d reached my limit of nasty commenters on Tumblr and unfollowed all the “Royal” accounts they show up here. And brought the mommy shamers along with them. Sigh.

    • Mtec says:

      @OriginalTessa
      Lol, what?

It looks like she had at least two security persons walking closely to them, so i’m sure if she needed help with the dogs or anything else she would have been fine.

      • Originaltessa says:

Tried defending myself, and that got deleted. For the record I wasn’t shaming her, just impressed how she managed that. I have a baby Archie’s age. I like Meghan a lot, and feel so much for her as we were pregnant at same time.

      • Mtec says:

        @Originaltessa
ah okay, my bad, I assumed you were concern trolling, there’s been a lot of that on this thread.

  7. Bren says:

Meghan was bound to show up at a hiking trail again. No surprise the paps would keep a watch at the entrance to get their shots.

  8. Ennie says:

They already hit 11 million in their instagram accoutnt 😀

    • Kebbie says:

I’m curious to see if the Cambridges let them surpass them in followers or if they’ll buy followers to keep pace.

    • Lady D says:

I did just mention this on the other article, but there was an announcement that KR Instagram had reached 11 mill last night, so I checked SR Insta and they were at 10.9 million.

  9. GuestOne says:

Sky news is reporting that the Sussexes are threatening legal action over the pap photos& that paps have been trying to take pics inside the place they are staying in with long lens.

What’s funny is the sections of the press that wants them stripped of security has created the demand for it.

    • Mich says:

It isn’t funny. People like Piers Morgan and Dan Wooton know exactly what they are doing drumming up obsessive hate for her while at the same time insisting that security be taken away.

      • VS says:

        +100000000000

      • GuestOne says:

Sorry I didn’t mean funny “ha ha”. I know some in the press want them exposed& it’s very chilling.

I meant if Piers etc were serious with their tax payers’ concern trolling they wouldn’t have ramped up this hate campaign which means they will likely require costly security.

      • Em says:

@Mich I read your comment and got chills. That is exactly what PM and DW are doing, you’re spot on. What is PM’s problem (really!) and why won’t he just SHUT UP?!

      • Well, I’m sure Piers would think covering Meghan’s funeral would be the cherry on his sundae.

    • VS says:

Harry is not joking about protecting his family……….. this is the same that went on with his mother

    • grumpy says:

All these racist people who hate her are desperate to continue seeing pictures of her now she has been driven out of the country, makes absolute sense

    • JaneBee87 says:

@Guest2.0 Thanks for sharing re: BC privacy laws, wasn’t aware of this! Hope H&M use it to their full advantage.

  10. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

I’m so happy for them. It’s funny how I’ve chosen to read and comment on the only royals I’m now interested in. The ones who were run out of town and royal life. Guess I’ve cancelled the pretenders. I can’t stomach reading about a rich white family of hypocrites who prefer pedos over racial diversity.

    • Pineapple says:

Mabs … I think I am the same!!! It is so hard to read all the lies. I will love reading about Harry and Meghan’s future endeavours. They will cure cancer and the British Tabloids will be on about how her skirt was the wrong colour. XO

    • Frida_K says:

      Right there with you, amiga!

I’m so excited to see what they do in future and am so happy that they have left that horrible family. I could not care less about those wretched people and hope only that Pedo Andy does, eventually, get what’s coming to them. But I don’t care about their petty details and am not fooled by their PR.

Meantime, I am enthusiastic about the Sussex family and hope to see them flourish.

  11. MeghanNotMarkle says:

Yayyyy! Now they can get to work and outshine those lazy bozos in KP.

  12. Sarah says:

Archie is BIG, and he looks heavy. He’s under 1 right? Another reason why I’ll make a crap mother. I can barely carry my own groceries, ha!

    • Suze says:

You get used their weight quickly. My son is a few months older than Archie and when he was born it was hard to carry him in his car seat, it was so heavy. Now I haul him and it around like they weigh nothing.

      • Betsy says:

I didn’t with my first. He was huge (23 inches at birth with a weight to match) and he stayed on the same percentile and was a late walker.

    • AmunetMaat says:

The only 30lb weight I can (somewhat) comfortably carry is my son. You oddly adjust to their weight/height.

  13. Karmak says:

I don’t think this is a set up. The paps have been following Meghan sense they found out (leaked) where they are staying on Vancouver island. Paps already know the cars in her security detail. These pictures are long distance. Meghan is at the end of her walk. They where waiting for her to exit the park. Her car is right at the exit. Meghan is not going to stay locked up in her home. She wants to live her life.

  14. Sofia says:

Archie is going to be a tall one!

  15. VS says:

well looks like you are not a genius………… they are threatening to sue the paps………..continue to believe what you want about them; it is your right; just like others can call you out on your BS

  16. Becks1 says:

I’m so happy they’re back together. I don’t think Harry was ever going to leave the UK as soon as people thought bc he had that rugby event last Thursday, so he was definitely staying at least through that.

Those pap photos are definitely taken with a long lens. They’re super grainy.

But, even if it was a staged pap stroll, so what? The Cambridges do it on a fairly regular basis. Victoria Arbiter was talking on twitter about how we would NEVER see those kinds of pics in the UK.

Except the pics were published by the Sun, a UK tabloid, and there have been other pap pics of H&M taken in the UK. So…..her point was not only weird but wrong.

    • MrsBanjo says:

I don’t think they’re staged. Photogs take so many shots and we’re seeing the few where she’s smiling. I think that’s on purpose in the photogs’ parts. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the moment she saw them and is smiling because of the audacity. Because that’s what I would do. If they had the audacity to keep trying it even though the papers are being sued for their horrid reporting, I’d be laughing and smiling at them, too. They’re proving she and Harry right, with clear evidence. Especially with the warning that was since issued.

    • Your cousin Vinny says:

@becks, no idea if they are staged or not but re: your comment on the Cambridges doing it all the time, you are correct. And they get criticised for it on this site.

  17. aquarius64 says:

Glad to see Meghan out and about with Archie and the dogs. She telling the coven that is the British media a big F U. Dragging her rancid father out to do scripted interviews is not going to make her hide. And she’s telling the Windsors they have not beaten her. I’m glad Harry is back. And if the plot was to manipulate Harry to dump Meghan and Archie he would be forever ruined. Nothing short of adultery or abuse would justify a divorce.

  18. bamaborn says:

The whole British media needs some kind of psych intervention. You’ve hounded these people out of the country and now still b*itching because they left. Didn’t Wills and Kate have some kind of an event, do 500 stories about that. smh

  19. carmen says:

I saw these on the Fail website and for some reason, on this occasion they’ve taken great care to pixelate the faces of the protection officers. In the past they’ve done that with certain celeb kids, but grown men?!

    • Kebbie says:

They may do that for security reasons. The UK always been better about protecting the privacy of people who aren’t public figures though.

      • carmen says:

True on both counts, Kebbie but blurring their faces is something that is not done consistently. The Fail in particular can be sloppy about that sort of thing as I’ve noticed the same thing with photos of the kids.

  20. Myra says:

The Brits have repeatedly told us they don’t want Meghan, Harry and Archie in their country. They moved to an entire different continent an ocean away yet….still HATE from the Brits. I really fear for their safety. This unhinged obsession by the Brits isn’t a good thing.

    • Kebbie says:

It’s really crazy how much venom some people have for these two. None of their arguments stand up to scrutiny. The people who wanted them to leave are now furious that they left. The people who wanted them off the taxpayer dole are furious that they’ll be making financial deals to support themselves. The ones who demanded photos of Archie accuse them of using him for PR purposes when they release photos. They cannot win with a certain deranged subsection of royal watchers.

      • notasugarhere says:

That subsection of bottom dwellers wanted Harry to leave Meghan, so he would come back to them as their fantasy internet boyfriend. Harry leaving royal life completely to be with his beloved wife and son? That infuriates them.

      • Kebbie says:

That’s really sad. I’ve been crushing on him since he grew that beard, so in some ways he’s totally my fantasy internet boyfriend too. The fact that he loves his wife and son enough to leave the BRF behind makes him sexier.

What kind of twisted do you have to be to want him to abandon his wife and child? They clearly don’t care about his happiness unless he’s deriving it from what they deem acceptable and ideal. And we all know the biracial American is neither in their eyes. With fans like those, who needs enemies?

  21. happyinessisnotfree says:

wow, Megan looks stunning in the beanie and I can’t wait to see what’s next from this unit.

  22. Eyfalia says:

Yes, to this: “My concern was that the palaces are nests of vipers and that various people were probably telling Harry that instead of “abandoning” the royal family, he just needed to abandon his wife and child.”
That made me nervous as well. I was worried that they turn him around. I am very glad, that he is in Canada now with Meghan and Archie.
They were just married and had to get accustomed to being a married couple, on top of this they had to adapt to the Royal life with events and so on. Plus, she experienced her first pregnancy and then being a mother.
It is very important that they can concentrate on being a family first. They have to have this time. The Queen took this time when she got married and Kate did as well.

    • notasugarhere says:

No, the Queen did not. Two years after she and Philip married, he was stationed in Malta. She never took two years off, she visited Malta four times in two years, for less than a few months total. And continued to work for her father while there.

The Malta Lie was crafted by kate stans and the tabloids, because no one could figure out why W&K had lied in their engagement interview. We were told she was fully prepared, was going to hit the ground running as a working royal. A few days after the wedding, we got the quiet release that she was going to be a housewife in Wales and not work.

  23. Catherine says:

Not one pap shot in UK, not one pap shot while on six week break. But suddenly, paps everywhere? 🤔 In woods, on private property? The Canadian press sure is toxic and invasive

    • Sofia says:

The royal are frequently papped in the UK

However they’re only published if and when needed aka to cause a distraction or a PR stroll

And we don’t know if the Canadian press took these. Not so hard for British paps to get on a plane

    • Bubbs says:

3 x in the past week

    • ME says:

Don’t blame it on the Canadian press. It’s most likely American paps that flew over and are staking out.

    • Kebbie says:

I thought the UK tabloids weren’t allowed to print paparazzi photos of the royals out and about in their private time. Like when Kate goes Christmas shopping or to the grocery store, they can’t print those. I assumed since Harry and Meghan announced their departure, they’re fair game.

    • Hope says:

Because they left the royal family. It’s a huge story.

And before that, we didn’t know where they were. Now, it’s been narrowed down.

    • notasugarhere says:

UK paps have flown to Canada. Those paps are figuring out, with the immediately injunction, that a lot of what they’re doing is illegal. Harry and Meghan are working to legally shut them down quickly.

    • nic919 says:

These are UK paps becuase the local ones would be familiar with the BC laws relating to privacy.

    • Jaded says:

It’s most likely American and British paps that followed them here. I’m sure the RCMP will shut them down.

    • Juliette says:

It was a UK photographer, not Canadian. Just gross. Go home and leave them alone.

  24. Lenn says:

This is actually quite worrying. How are they going to handle press and papparazzi now? It’s making me nervous for them. This whole plan could backfire. They are looking to get away from the press but now they are their biggest prey.

    • lanne says:

They’ll handle it better than before b/c they won’t have asshole courtiers throwing them under the bus! So long as they don’t lose security, I think they can handle paparrazi. Plenty of Hollywood folks can handle it just fine. The paparazzi weren’t the problem. It was the British media (yeah, I said it. Not just the tabloids, but the regular media like ITV that allowed their “journalists” to use their position to exercise a personal vendetta against a woman) PLUS the royal vipers. It’s likely the Sussexes could have handled just 1 of them–horrible media with a supportive palace structure, or a horrible palace structure with a media like the US which, although corporate, doesn’t pay for interviews (so no pimping out the Markles). But awful media plus awful Royals=toxic all around.

Congrats, British media and RF. You broke it. You own it.

  25. RoyalBlue says:

She looks so relaxed. Thank god she is out of that modern day slavery-type environment where you are working without pay, do as you are told, wear what you are told and smile while getting abused by the people who feel they own you and your choices.

The paps will follow her a lot and probably for a very long time. so we will be seeing more pictures of them, but now they get to do the work they really want to do and create the legacy they desire.

    • Lorri says:

Working without pay? Considering the expensive house gifted to them complete with renovations with no mortgage or rent, the Sovereign Grant money, and the Duchy of Cornwall money from Charles, you’ve got to be joking. Not even counting Harry’s inheritance from Diana and the Queen Mother.

  26. MellyMel says:

Some of y’all woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. Anyways, I’m glad they all together now and happy.

  27. KellyRyan says:

Notice the two bodyguards behind Meghan on the trail photographed from the waist down. I thought I caught a pic with Harry’s bg as well. I think protective service would have included in the negotiations. I have less concern in California for their safety where gated communities with security are the norm. Notice when paps are speaking to celebs it is usually entering or exiting a restaurant, store or walking, not around their home.

    • ME says:

Well the KarJenners live in a gated community and yet stalkers have entered their homes. Crazy people find a way. Scary.

      • lanne says:

Crazy people found their way into Buckingham Palace. A lunatic climbed in through a window and went into the Queen’s room. Her body guard didn’t answer the summons and she spent 15 minutes talking to that nut. If he had wanted to kill or kidnap her, he would have had a ridiculously easy time. And a kidnapper tried to pull Princess Anne out of a car and shot her bodyguards. Even being royal doesn’t completely protect you from crazies.

      • ME says:

        @ Ianne

Oh yes I remember the story about Buckingham Palace and the dude that somehow found his way in. That was a crazy and scary story.

      • lucy2 says:

Sandra Bullock had someone get into her house too. It’s awful.

  28. Cosmo says:

It would be nice if the racists in Britain would leave these two alone now but I doubt that will happen. The media makes alot of money off the racist hateful stories about these two. I hope they go on to amazing things and show those horrible people what they lost.

    • Sparkle says:

I know right? The british press is like a psycho ex boyfriend that you dump to get away from that doesnt take the hint and he keeps calling you, showing up wherever you are, flipping out on you.

You have been dumped, British Press. They do not want anything to do with you anymore. Go run along and find your next victim to terrorize.

    • Nyro says:

They’re obsessed. It’s funny because all of these royal reporters and Cain & Unable stans who hate her are now losing sleep, up at 2 and 3 in the morning London time, tweeting whatever little piece of information they can get from the Canadian news media on Meghan. It’s hilarious. They’re all going to develop insomnia and they deserve it. I can’t imagine being glued to a screen at 3 a.m. waiting for possible news on someone I hate. LOL

  29. Charfromdarock says:

    Welcome to Canada, Harry!

I hope you and your family are happy here.

    • lolafalana says:

I agree. But as a concerned fellow Canadian I’d like to assert that Victoria BC is not a real place. I believe those photos were taken in Scotland or some place, and people definitely shouldn’t decide they want to also come live in this ridiculous “Victoria British Columbia”………come on! There is no such place. Vancouver sure. Vancouver Island……..Nope – sorry. Doesn’t ring a bell………………..

      • Jaded says:

I really hope you’re joking – I happen to live in the fantasy land of Victoria on Vancouver Island and I can assure you it’s a real place.

      • notasugarhere says:

That may have been a joke to convince people to stay away. Lovely places to live are often lovelier when they are unknown and lower-populated.

      • carmen says:

        Lol.

      • lolafalana says:

Jaded – it’s my favorite place in the world. I just want to keep it as it is!…..and I’m terribly jealous that you are so fortunate!………..LOL.

  30. MD says:

    So happy for them.

  31. Maria says:

I noticed in the pap photos of her driving to the airport that they confirmed she was picking up trainer Heather Dorak, which was nice and further evidence that Meghan doesn’t “drop” friends, she and Dorak have been close since her Suits days.

  32. kerwood says:

I’m glad the family is together again. It must have been very hard for Harry being alone, surrounded by jackals, with his family so far away. Now they can start their new life.

And I don’t care if it’s a staged photo. So was the photo with the queen and her child rapist son. I’ll take pictures of a happy woman and her baby over a sex offender and his enabler, ANY TIME. Photos of the happy family will only hurt the people who dislike them, and all THOSE people have to do is not look to solve that problem.

  33. lanne says:

Isn’t it ironic that the same qualities that everyone loves about Harry–his ease with people, his relatability, his passion for taking action and doing good, are the very things that drove him away from the royal family? The only way he would be able to survive there, (especially if the rancid media and toxic family get their way and he divorces Meghan), would be if he crushes 95% of his spirit, and becomes a glass-eyed automaton “yes man” who walks behind William and spends the rest of his life unveiling tiny plaques. Is that really what the people who claim to “love” him really want? That’s why I made my premise that the British media and the royal family actually hate Harry, and that their love for him is no different than the “love” of a possessive and abusive spouse toward the victim.

    • Nyro says:

I think they all, the family and staunch royalists, resent him in some way or another. He has “it” just like his mother did. I was struck by how many times he’s basically been called stupid over the past few months. “Well, we all know Harry’s not that bright.” “What does he think he’s going to do in America? He’s not clever, never has been, so I don’t see how this works out for him.” “This is all Meghan. Harry certainly couldn’t plan all of this on his own”. And so on and so on.

  34. Sparkle says:

Megan is glowing and gorgeous. She hasn’t looked like herself the past few years and its nice to see her with a geniune smile and looking like herself. Her hair in a braid and beanie and lululemon leggings are super cute outfit. I love that she has already met with a women’s shelter in Canada. As a fellow American feminist, I find her is so relatable and believe she honestly wants to help women (not just show up for a photo op like the Royal family’s shallow idea of “work”).

I don’t care that she staged the pap walk. She is taking control of her public image that the Royal family essentially threw to the wolves the past few years and destroyed. She has to clean up the mess they made ….so do what you have to do Meghan.

  35. Green Desert says:

All the mom-shamers need to STFU. I’m going to assume her baby’s well-being and safety are of the utmost concern for Meghan, and that she knows what she’s doing. My passive-aggressive MIL was just here and she has a comment for everything in regards to my 16-month-old. I cannot with people who think they know how to take care of other people’s kids better than the actual parents.

  36. Chimney says:

Nothing says maternal like getting the hell out of dodge when people are racist to your baby

  37. Sasha says:

I don’t KNOW if this was a scheduled photo op or if someone was hiding in the bushes from far away and I couldn’t care less.
She looks fabulously happy and that’s all that matters.
Wishing them all the happiness in the world.

    • Juliette says:

There were paps hiding in bushes in the park and snapped this picture. They are suing over it, it was a British photographer. UK style paparazzi is not going to go over well here in Canada, they’d better slow their roll really quickly.

I hope eventually this dies down and they can be left alone to live and work how they choose.

  38. Chimney says:

Also like to add no more horrible little hats for Meghan. She’s back to wearing the only kind of hat that matters, a toque!

  39. Jaded says:

Welcome to Vancouver Island Harry, I hope you and Meghan settle in quickly and enjoy our laid back lifestyle!

  40. New Wave Nails says:

I am trying to figure out the British psyche here…they are shocking everyone this year with their psychotic racism… which goes against their polite image…the politeness apparently comes from being easily embarrassed…which comes from shame…which comes from self-hate…which comes from abuse/neglect…I feel like England, and whatever other places this applies to, are desperately trying to offload their bleeding psyche by going psycho on an outsider, and that just never ends, and eventually you flip on you and yours, and this is why I have an ex-Anglophile friend who no longer wants to visit England.

    • Kebbie says:

I don’t think it’s all Brits, but the ones who don’t like her are frightening. There’s some kind of crazy projection going on with them. The photos of Meghan smiling on a walk resulted in comments like “she is a manic sociopath! Look at her eyes! Harry and Archie are in danger!” It’s truly disturbing.

    • kerwood says:

The British were NEVER polite. You don’t build an empire ‘where the sun never sets’ by being polite. You do it by murder, rape and assorted other violent acts. Ask my ancestors, they’ll tell you. Their sweat and blood paid for those fancy castles.

And go to a soccer game NOW; it ain’t Downton Abbey.

      • Betsy says:

They were selectively polite. And polite doesn’t mean “not ruthless,” because clearly they were that as well.

    • MeganBot2020 says:

I promise the vast majority of Brits don’t pay any attention to royals one way or the other, and either like or are neutral towards her. It’s the very vocal minority of mostly white, elderly Tories who are fuelling all this weird obsession.

And okay clearly Brits are buying the magazines and papers, but I’m convince the online hate is mainly from non-Brits (and I have seen a fair amount of evidence to support the theory that it’s a small number of individuals with hundreds of fake social media and various web-forum accounts spending many hours every day sock-puppeting all over the Internet, who are driving much of the online hate or the online perception that Megan is widely hated).

      • A says:

@MeganBot2020, considering that 1) the British people voted for Brexit and 2) they voted for Boris Johnson in 2019, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that, as a WOC, Britain and British people do tend to be quite racist and rather ignorant of their own brand of racism. Saying that this is solely confined to a small group of people or that most of this hate comes from is dodging the point and it only adds to the racism by further sweeping it under the rug. British people had better square up and learn to confront their own brand of casual racism, and fast.

  41. boobra says:

wow with some of the negative comments here one would think this is the Dailymail page and not Celebitchy. it’s inexplicable the hate this one person has garnered simply for existing…sad

    • DM2 says:

It’s actually…mind-boggling and astounding. It makes me question people’s humanity. And how utterly bereft of kindness the lives they lead must be.

    • carmen says:

That’s why I don’t read the Fail’s comment section. Celebitchy commenters are by and large more respectful .

  42. ib says:

something fascinating that will probably get buried: I think the H/M chose British Columbia because it has the most stringent press and privacy laws. In BC to sue for invasion of privacy, proof of harm is NOT required to successfully sue. Harry and Meghan got lawyers to issue a legal warning to the mail and sun over the long-lens paparazzi pic of in the yesterday, on the legal grounds of invasion privacy. See this tweet https://twitter.com/scobie/status/1219629640974774272?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet

  43. yinyang says:

Now [exhale] some peace and quiet.

  44. Mandy says:

Awwww, that picture of Harry and Archie! Be still my heart!

  45. Marigold says:

I am just sick to death of the criticism of Meghan’s parenting based on photos that represent still moments for a second or two at a time.

She touched her bump too much. She gave birth in the wrong place. She held him wrong as a newborn. Now she’s carrying him wrong on a walk.

Are you KIDDING me? He’s freaking fine! I carried my kid as long as she wanted to be carried, and it wasn’t always graceful. She wiggled. She arched her back to get a look at my face a lot. She starfished like a champ. It worked for us, and I’m glad I carried her beyond “too big to be carried.” She’s 16 now, and I treasure every moment I had with her as a little person I could carry in my arms. I didn’t give a furry rodent’s backside what anyone else thought about how I looked or how I should be transporting my kid. I didn’t ever use a sling or carrier, and she never fell and she was fine. Meghan has an arm firmly around that little boy. She’s fine. He’s fine. Shut. Up.

Carry your baby how you like. If it’s your job–like your actual training and vocation–to educate mothers about how to use slings, seats, and carriers, then reserve your commentary for women who ask for it.

Seriously. Meghan is fine. So is Archie. Shut up. The end.

Ooh I bet they had the best reunion sex ever.

I just read about the strict privacy law in that province where Meghan/Harry are. You cannot take photos of people even though it is not threatening. I not sure but I think you have to have the person’s permission. By standing smiling as they start photos to sell without her permission. they can sue for invasion of privacy without asking permission. Photogs are literally camping out in the area where they are living-somebody better look at rule book for this community. She’s smiling because she knows you just stepped in some doo doo.

Archie is a cutie pie. He looks so much like Doria in that picture with Harry.
