Princess Beatrice & Eugenie are pushed as ‘replacements’ for the Sussexes

V&A Summer Party

There’s already a story – which I’ve covered separately – about how the Queen wants the Countess of Wessex to step up in a bigger way post-Sussexit. That story made a lot of sense to me, in that we know that Sophie is the Queen’s favorite in-law, and Sophie doesn’t make waves within the family. But what’s interesting about all of this “who will step up now that Harry and Meghan are gone” conversation is that multi-fold. First, it shoots down the idea that the Windsors are just FINE without the Sussexes and no one will miss them. Two, it reinforces the complaint that Harry and Meghan left so suddenly and the Poor Queen, however will she find someone to take on all of this mountain of work left by the Sussexes? There are other parts to it, but suffice to say, at least one person thinks that Sophie won’t be enough for the new post-Sussexit Windsors. They’ll have to bring in – gulp – Beatrice and Eugenie!

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie could easily step up to the plate and take on some of the responsibilities previously looked after by their cousin Prince Harry — if they choose to. Royal biographer and “The Crown” consultant Robert Lacey told Hello! magazine on Monday that the daughters of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew could take on more prominent members of the royal family following “Megxit.”

“It’s quite clear that one of the consequences is that Beatrice and Eugenie will now be brought forward — if they’re willing to be brought forward,” said Lacey. “If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie. I’m sure they will step forward and be greatly welcomed. It’s what the family needs as it’s another 15 years before Prince George’s generation steps up. It’s ironic that Harry mentioned his cousins as models of how he wants to be.”

Currently, both princesses have regular full-time jobs that they balance with their royal duties, Harper’s Bazaar reported. Beatrice, 31, works as the vice president at data and software company Afiniti. Meanwhile, her sister Eugenie, 29, is an art gallery director.

This was always Prince Andrew’s endgame for his daughters too – once Andrew was fired, it was widely believed that Eugenie and Beatrice would have no place in the “working royal” conversation anymore either. But Sussexit has changed everything for the Yorks. Andrew is still whispering in dear mummy’s ear about how he could come back and be her “rock,” and his daughters could step into Harry and Meghan’s shoes so easily! And it’s all so f–king gross. This family is so toxic.

Oh, who didn’t see that coming. Andrew, you’re so clever.

    • Esme says:

      A cunning plan, I’m sure 😀

      • Digital Unicorn says:

LOL – that does seem to be the RF PR strategy at the moment. Run around like Baldrick shouting ‘I have a cunning plan’.

The burning question is who is Baldrick and who is Blackadder? Queenie is … Queenie.

      • Esme says:

Digital Unicorn, they seem to have a dangerous lack of Blackadders, only Queenie, Baldricks and Prince Regents. Not even a Melchie!

      • Nahema says:

@Digital Unicorn I have no opinion on this but I love a Blackadder reference

    • Mac says:

I think we can safely say, Bea and Eug will never be working royals.

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

Yep, he tried it. The only reason it might have a chance of succeeding in the short term is that Prince Pedo is Mummy’s Darling Diddums. All bets are off when Chaz takes over though.

The question none of the articles answer: HOW are these two supposed to represent Granny when their wardrobes are fashion crime scenes?

Another question these articles will never answer: Which is it?
First it was “H&M aren’t doing enough and costing taxpayers money for nothing”. Now that H&M have told everyone to sod off, they’re going to go into the workaday world and y’all can keep your tax money, suddenly we’ve gone from “H&M didn’t do any work, were a drain on country and a disgrace to the monarchy” to “OMG we’re gonna need six people to replace them :panicflail:”.

Rota and the palaces can’t have it both ways. Their crossed narratives show up even more acutely that the abuse of H&M was coming from BOTH the palaces and the press, and just further emphasizes the rightness of H&M’s decision to bounce out of all of it.

Somewhere, Meghan is slowly sipping tea with Harry. Bet on it.

    • elle says:

Well daddy will try to secure the perks for them from his mommy . After all those girls and their mom covered for and supported randy andy since Epstein story broke .Now time for him to pay back. The girls were old enough to know what was going on . I will never believe different . If they get CYA nod ,, then it says a lot about how much respect QE extends to commonwealth .. NONE

  2. Spicecake38 says:

    Andrew must be so proud.

  3. S808 says:

I hope it happens so Charles can seethe.

    • Mac says:

That seems unlikely since it is Charles’ decision.

      • S808 says:

Is it? He’s always maintained that they not be working royals despite Andrew’s protesting.

    • FC says:

This may be the case now, but when TQ dies the entire York family is dunzo.

    • bucketbot says:

I would enjoy to see that too, but the York girls are going to get even more shit, first because of their father-which wasn’t their fault, and secondly, to make the Cambridges look good. Those two don’t need this anymore. In the first case, they don’t have to do anything to get bad press, the media will do it themselves to fit their purposes as and when they want. It’s the second I don’t like, Will won’t hesitate to throw them under the bus when he has rose bushes to trim.

      • African Violet says:

I hope the Yorks, replace the Sussexes, for thw simple reason of I want to see keennly ffq curtsying to them when she is alone. Blood princess vs married in. Esp following the rumours that kate was feuding with Beatrice

  4. Maria says:

If the Queen stripped Andy of his title and removed him from the line of succession, then I could see it. What the Pedo should do is give up title and place in line, but he’s too stupid and entitled to see that as a possible solution. As it stands now, the association is just too creepy.

    • Christina says:

I think that Andrew should give up his title to allow this for his daughters if it is being seriously considered. Beatrice and Eugenie are not responsible for their idiot parents’ lack of impulse control and laziness. They have connections that surely got them work, but they seem to actually show up. And they aren’t in the tabloids for having their toes sucked. Low bar, I know, but this would help modernize the monarchy in the more subtle way that British conservatives may prefer. They ripped Meghan because I’d racism. These two would be under a microscope for possible moral failings, but this is the family business and their parents are awful people. If they are as hardworking and grounded as they seem, they will be fine.

  5. Kath says:

What baffles me is hasn’t Charles wanted to streamline the working family for years? It’s done for him now, why would he add in more fluff??

    • Betsy says:

I doubt he wants to. This is Andrew and Fergie trying to sneak back into the fold.

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

There has always been a lot of speculation on whether or not Charles’ streamlined royal family would be large enough to cover all the events and charities the current one handles. Losing Harry and Meghan as full-time working Royals devastated his plan.

The simple fact is that Charles, Camilla, William, and Kate can’t cope with the numbers alone, even if they all do 300+ engagements a year. Now the older Royals are probably going to have to be kept on after Charles becomes King, whereas the plan had been for everyone else to step back and leave him and his sons to it. They may need to bring the York girls into the fold to make everything work smoothly, even though it’s well and widely known that’s definitely not what Charles wanted.

      • Christina says:

Exactly. Meghan and Harry would have done it better, but somebody’s got to do it now that the Queen and her idiot, jealous sons and grandson ran them out of England. ; the British press was always going to go after them, but the idiots and QE would not control/stop them. And Will’s kids are por small.

The problem becomes bigger when the Cambridge kids are old enough to work, if they don’t run screaming from it like Harry rightfully did. Are Charles and Will willing to work hard to keep work places for the Cambridge kids? Charles totally would love to, I’m sure, but he can’t be everywhere as much as he’d love to.

      • Aria says:

Charles may burn the ship than to include the York girls. Charles doesnt like any of them. This is andrew pushing those stories. With jeffrey scandal even with yorks taking brf duties no charity wants to associate with yorks and this will be very bad for York. Plus york sister does have good public image. This also means Charles have to pay for their security. Charles will never do that. Also pushing sophie is coming from Kate and William beacuse sophie and edward is no way threat to cambridge. I hardly believe that sophie will be taking harry and Meghan place. Charles doesnt like those people and so much charles is in charge of the palace behind the scene. Also William doesnt like the York sister either. Has anyone seen William interacting with york sister like for past five years or so. Williams and Charles doesnt like York.

      • Va Va Kaboom says:

@Aria I’m sorry, but there is not a snowball’s chance in Hell Charles will ever willingly and/or wittingly let the “whole ship burn”. He may make really poor decisions that contribute to that end. But he 100% believes in the Monarchy and, more importantly, his own exalted place within it.

I don’t dispute that Charles made it widely known he doesn’t want Andrew or his daughters anywhere near his reign. But time and circumstances change. Charles may have to swallow his pride and stubbornness and compromise. Though I’d bet my savings nothing will ever convince him to allow Andrew to continue on as a working Royal. And frankly that’s the absolute right choice.

However, while the York girls aren’t super popular, they’ve always claimed they want to be working Royals. There may be an acceptable compromise that sees Beatrice and Eugenie working like the Kent’s and Gloucester’s, but sees their father no where near public events.

      • BabsORIG says:

I’m not sure why the Windsor’s are in such panic mode, the Sussexes have been gone for just a couple weeks!! For people that diligently, purposely, shamelessly and continuously dragged the Sussexes, you’d think they’d be prepped for the worst case scenario!!! Here they’re, running around like headless chicken, wailing “woe is us the Sussexes left”, geez!! Why don’t they all calm down and let this story die? Then regroup, maybe meet again with the Sussexes and their legal team, and work out a contract that works for both sides. Bring the Sussexes back, stay out of their behind, let them work their magic, win-win for all. But nooooo, the Sussexes can’t outshine anyone or we’ll continue to butcher them and their character and Archie won’t be spared either, but then they can’t leave either, they have to stay and just take it. Geez, can’t have your cake and eat it too, ya know!!

      • insertpunhere says:

BabsORIG, I’m guessing they didn’t prepare because it would never cross the remaining Royals’ minds to walk away, so they didn’t see anybody else doing it. What they forgot is that MM isn’t a spoiled rich kid, and she’s known for her hustle. She wasn’t going to be their punching bag (or let her kid be their punching bag) when the alternative was going back to what she’d done well before.

      • Bonita says:

@VaVaKaboom: Yes, the Sussexes essentially quit their jobs with no notice. Obviously that’s going to leave the RF short-handed to cover all of the engagements they had agreed to do while “fully staffed” as it were.

    • Bonita says:

I suspect that the RF agrees to attendances at events well in advance. The reality is probably as simple as all of those events that H&M were slotted for now need someone else to attend and the rest of the working royals can’t pick up the slack for all of them.

  6. Really? says:

    Nooooooooooooo

    • Char says:

They could have Princess Tiana but settled with Cinderella’s step sisters.

      • Mumbles says:

Jeez, these two are lazy glommers but how have they ever conveyed themselves as mean and evil or wicked?

I did laugh at the spin the “leaker” is putting out that these two may not be willing to take the spotlight. Please. They’d love it. Eugenie could have had a private wedding but she consented to it being televised.

      • Coco says:

I only really started following royal news after Meghan married Harry, and I might have a touch of face blindness, but I have a hard time telling which is Beatrice and which is Eugenie. If they had natural charisma, or natural passion for any charities or causes, I’d guess they’d already be well known for it.

      • Where'sMyTiara says:

        OH, SNAP LOL

      • holly hobby says:

I think they were referred to as step sisters because of their horrendous fashion sense. Plus Bea’s eyes scare the heck out of me.

    • Snappyfish says:

Oh Honey, just NO! The York princesses & their horrible parents need to be in the backseat. Maybe even under the backseat. Especially since “Mr. Oh Too Honorable who doesn’t sweat because of the Falklands” isn’t helping with the Epstein investigation after insisting he would

  7. BayTampaBay says:

Both Beatrice and especially Eugenie see willing and able to do the work. I do not see this as problem except with Charles. Beatrice and Eugenie could step in do the engagements that Senior Royal Sophie either does not want to do or cannot fit into her schedule which will become increasingly busy in the years to come.

I am sure that what Andrew wants Andrew will get as long as QEII is alive.

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

Yes and frankly I think if they aren’t made working Royals it will only be out of stubbornness and ego on Charles’ part. I can’t see him graciously admitting that “yes, I do need the York girls” after fighting Andrew on the subject for decades. Maybe he can make a deal where they strip Andrew of titles in exchange for making his daughters Senior working Royals.

    • FC says:

I don’t understand how the York sisters have ever been considered “hard workers.” They’re socialites with fake jobs that they don’t even show up for half the time. Isn’t Bea a VP of something in NYC? VPs don’t take endless yacht vacations and party across the pond at Chiltern Firehouse. And Eugene? An art gallery curator is the most cliche socialite “job” there is. I can’t wait for Charles to cut them loose.

      • Yes Darling, but they are BLOOD princesses. 😱. I say bring them on. They barely work at their real jobs and Beatrice, especially, is known to be a real spiteful piece of lazy work. There’s a lot of shade in Beatrice’s life that the press will enjoy exposing. And — for the rest of us — there’s the horrible fashion choices and Beatrice’s crazy hats. Then, as a cherry on top — there’s Fergie. Her endless foot-in-her-mouth tweeting should also come in to play as she will see the enbiggening of her daughters as permission for her to come even further out of the woodwork. This whole scenario of the “working” York girls is just what the Queen and Charles deserve.

      • Miumiiiu says:

JA I didn’t realize that about princess Beatrice! Like what?

      • Va Va Kaboom says:

No one thinks the York sisters are hardworking, that’s not why they’re always being put forward. But they are princesses and familiar. Not loved, but certainly not hated.

They’re simply the best choice in the lose/lose situation that resulted when everyone drove the Sussexes away. They’re innocuous, non-threatening to C&C and W&K, and most importantly… they probably would love to do tons of Royal events. Emphasis on ROYAL. Notice they rarely miss any event they’re invited to. It’s what their father raised to do before finally accepting Charles wasn’t going to sign on to that.

      • SKF says:

Wow JA. Comments like this are really unpleasant. Gleefully waiting for the press to rip these two girls to shreds in lieu of MM is not cool. If we are against press bullying then we should not be tap-dancing with joy that the York princesses may get bullied by the press.

  8. LW says:

This is totally from camp York. And makes it even more believable that they were active in the Sussex smear campaign. Gross!

    • Where'sMyTiara says:

So Andrew was using H&M as human shields to keep the press off him re: his crimes, and now he’s proposing doing the same to his children?

This man is a sick bag of rats.

      • LW says:

I think he ended up using them to keep the heat off him, but I think it started out as smearing them out of pure jealousy. Especially since the baby and tour overshadowed her wedding (in his mind). I don’t think he wants to use his kids to take the heat off himself, I think he wants to use this perceived opening as a way for his kids to slide into a role he’s always wanted for them anyway. And I think he’s leaking these stories as a way to get these idea out there. Convenient.

  9. Laura says:

    No one:
    Literally no one:
    RF: Beatrice and Eugenie

    • Jen says:

      ^^^^^

    • Flamingo says:

Exactly! Who was asking for this?

      • Lise says:

Pedo Dad? The girls themselves because then they would never have to work again (do they work?)

      • Cate says:

I honestly have a hard time believing even the girls would really want this. They seem to have a pretty good life now–being seen as royalty without the pressure to really work. Eugenie sounds fairly into her art job, Beatrice maybe isn’t as settled on the career front but I can’t see her wanting the extra scrutiny of being a “senior” royal, especially as she was somewhat thrown under the bus in the wake of her fathers disaster interview. If I was Beatrice I’d be making plans to spend the rest of my days chilling in Italy.

  10. Becks1 says:

I don’t get all this talk about the mountain of work the Sussexes left behind. They still have their patronages, so they’ll still do that work. Harry still has Invictus and Sentebale, so no one needs to take those. I know they did more than that, and some of the bread and butter engagements might get pushed aside, but Meghan was only a duchess for 18 months and was on mat leave for part of that time. Its not like there is this huge void left now. If Kate stepped up more, it would be fine.

The whole “two out, two in” is just asinine.

I also think it would make the royal family look REALLY bad if B&E become FT royals at this point. It would look like the whole mess was orchestrated to get Andrew’s daughters on the SG.

    • FC says:

I don’t think the RF cares about the charities as much as the numbers. They will no longer be able to count the Sussex’s numbers as their own.

  11. RoyalBlue says:

Other monarchies are streamlining but it seems like this one is digging in its heels.

  12. Joyce says:

No no no no no no no. Just no.

They need to leave the fold, too. To keep their distance from their awful parents and live their lives.

  13. Nikki* says:

    Worst. Idea. Ever.

  14. Thaisajs says:

It is sort of interesting, tho, when you look at those annual round-ups of royal engagements and which royal did how many. Kate and William have always been pretty low compared to Anne etc. If you think about how old Charles’ generation is, you can kinda see while William is worried. It’s just him and Harry and without Harry, it means that he and Kate will be expected to do a lot more engagements and that’s just generally not how they roll.

    • There’s an article out stating Kate is stressed to the max and having trouble sleeping due to all the extra work she’s having to take on due to the Sussexes leaving. The article states she has a very complicated schedule while also trying hard to be a good mother to 3 and it is just unbelievably worrying for her. I don’t get all this: whose going to fill the void BS. Meghan was patron of 4 groups. It’s been confirmed that she will continue in 3 of those roles and possibly all 4. Harry is maintaining almost all his patronage’s and charitable endeavors except his honorary military functions. Someone is going to have to get more involved with the Commonwealth youth because the Queen, Charles, and William stupidly and short-sightedly took that away from the Sussexes. But they are all running around with their heads cut off like the sky is falling.

  15. Cosmo says:

They Royals are truly messed up. If they would have just supported Harry and Meghan to stop the racist British media all would still be good for them. Now they just look bad.

  16. Originaltessa says:

I wouldn’t mind this from a train wreck gossip standpoint. I can’t stand the RF, and all of their bs, never could… I mean, why not?

  17. Nina says:

Make the royal family white again!
The Sussexes left with their patronage.
Are these 2 going to replace Harry with the army?
Why didn’t they replaced their disgraced father?
Anything to use the Sussexes names

  18. Amy K says:

I don’t see this happening. The Queen is nearing the end of her reign. Charles has a lot of power and he won’t allow the “blood princesses” (barf) to go on the dole

  19. Amy K says:

I don’t see this happening. The Queen is nearing the end of her reign. Charles has a lot of power and he won’t allow the “blood princesses” (barf) to go on the dole

  20. Lisa says:

I don’t see this happening as long as Charles gets a say in it.

  21. kelleybelle says:

This is laughable. They have all the appeal of cold margarine … plus the parents. Sure.

  22. kerwood says:

Because they’re so charming? Andrew really has been in the Queen’s ear. Charles might be playing the long game here, though. Send the York sisters to events for POC; we’ve all seen how they behave at those.

    • kelleybelle says:

Their behaviour at the wedding during Bishop Curry’s sermon was appalling. Kate’s and Zara Phillips’ was no better, either.

      • kerwood says:

Exactly. I wasn’t surprised at the York’s behaviour because consider the source. And Zara Phillips is married to a rugby player so she’s yob-adjacent. I never much cared for Keen Katie but when she showed her ass at Harry and Meghan’s wedding it confirmed that Little Miss Future Queen Consort, was just as ‘common’ as her critics accused her of being.

So good luck to the royal family. If this is their B-team, they’re in a LOT of trouble.

      • kelleybelle says:

        @kerwood: You >> me >> same page.

      • H says:

For those of us who didn’t watch the wedding, what did Zara do?

      • kerwood says:

@H, Zara, her cousins and Keen Katie snickered and sneered all the way through Rev. Curry’s sermon. It might have been a bit different than what they were used to, but I was raised to behave myself in church, especially if several million people were going to be watching. But these women didn’t think Harry and Meghan’s wedding (or the head of the United States Anglican church) deserved common courtesy. So they just decided to be ‘COMMON’.

      • Hope says:

Philip actually behaved decently. He sat there with an interested look on his face. It is absolutely the bare minimum and so many other members of the family couldn’t do it.

      • I’ve been really disappointed in Zara. I thought she genuinely had a good relationship with Harry. He is god parent to her oldest child. But her behavior at wedding and her snarky comments about the Sussexes overheard at various horse trials leaves me cold towards her.

      • Marie says:

Some people were trying to defend them saying “They are not used to this type of sermon” and that is a lousy excuse. These are people are royals and should be used to different customs and cultures. How Meghan and Harry acted was that of a true royal. How the others acted was that of a rude child.

      • Marie says:

@ja. What has Zara said about the Sussex’s?? I always thought she had a close relationship with Harry.

  23. Marie says:

The York sisters are not popular. Harry and Meghan are incredibly popular. Even when it was just Harry, he was one of the most popular royals after the Queen. They can try and push the York sisters but no one is going to pay attention.

    • Lowrider says:

And that’s why they would be perfect for the royals. The York sisters will not challenge for media attention or public affection from the Cambridges. The Cambridge’s can use the sisters as their scapegoats.

  24. Alexandria says:

I don’t mind if this comes true cos I want to see what happens. I know there are grumblings but I doubt the UK will get rid of their monarchy. They should but IRL there’s not much push.

  25. Sofia says:

    No. Nope. Noppity nope.

There’s enough working royals if you ask me. If everyone in the family adds 5-10 engagements (more for the Cambridges because their numbers are low as it is) they’ll easily make up for the Sussexes

And I genuinely don’t think it’ll go down well with the public. The Yorks are on thin ice as it is

  26. lily says:

@marie you are exactly right and the Sussexes now even have more instagram followers than Will and Kate. They are immensely more popular (and were probably more requested) than any of the other Royals save the Queen herself.

  27. Giddy says:

I assume that B&E are nice princesses. However, even though Pedo-Andy is probably whispering “We’re here for you , Mummy” in TQ’s ear, his daughters really can’t create the excitement of Harry and Meghan. After all, H&M are now the number one celebrity couple in the world. It’s just so endearing of Fergie and P-A, always looking for those opportunities!

  28. Chasmosaur says:

Not gonna happen. I seriously doubt Jack Brooksbank wants to give up his very fun job working for George Clooney, nor will Mapello Mazzi want to give up his company. Beatrice and Eugenie are in a nice little nether-world where they’re not quite senior royals so they and their spouses can support the charities and causes they like, but still have somewhat independent lives. I doubt it’s likely they’ll give that up, especially in the face of Andrew’s currently horrifying press.

  29. The Recluse says:

And this all could have been avoided if the bureaucracy around the RF and the family itself had not been so hidebound and resistant to change. Harry and Meghan were assets and they blew it big time.

  30. TheOriginalMia says:

I seriously doubt Beatrice and Eugenie want to join the Firm full-time. They get enough blowback just being Andy’s children. Why would they want to uproot their lives? All these narratives act like these women don’t have lives of their own.

  31. Algernon says:

Bea and Eug are not responsible for their dad’s creepiness. I have no problem with them stepping up to take on more events, especially since Sophie already does a lot and probably can’t take on that much more realistically. The firm has to know, though, that Bea and Eug are not nearly as popular as Harry and Meghan, and won’t be nearly the draw with the public. What bothers me about this “replacement” talk is that they act like Harry and Meghan were not unique draws unto themselves, and that anyone can fill their shoes. That just isn’t the case. Bea and Eug could help Sophie with additional appearances, but they’re never going to be seen as “replacements” for Harry and Meghan.

    • kerwood says:

The York sisters are supposed to get a pass because their parents are sex offenders and grifters. But it’s okay to hold Meghan’s ethnicity against her? I’m not saying your doing that, but I can’t believe that the royal family think that putting Andrew’s children in a prominent position is a good idea, especially when he’s evading an investigation into his alleged crimes.

      • Algernon says:

I just mean that women shouldn’t have to answer for crappy men, like when everyone kept asking Alison Brie about James Franco. Why is his behavior her problem? I see the double standard you’re pointing out, but women still shouldn’t have to answer for crappy men.

  32. goofpuff says:

Ugh all this because Will and Kate don’t want to work and don’t want to be overshadowed. Too bad the press and people don’t demand they work for a living with the same amount of vitriol Meghan got. I’m sure though they will try to blame them for everything for years to come to deflect from the future prince of wales laziness.

    • But they already are blaming the Sussexes for everyone having to now work — or as the Firm spins it, work harder. Never a mention though of the DoLittle Cambridge’s. They must really be afraid William will keep his long held threat of jumping ship because they are all bending over backwards to cover his ass and let he and Kate continue to do as little as possible. That’s the tragedy isn’t it; Harry and Meghan wanted to work more.

  33. Valiantly Varnished says:

They can bring in all the stale pieces of white bread they want. It still will never equal the star power of Harry & Meghan.

Congratulations QE and BRF, you played yourselves.

    • Linda says:

The Royal family does not want anyone with star power.

      • Valiantly Varnished says:

Correction: the RF don’t want anyone who is an “outsider” with star power. It’s why they hated Diana and it’s why they hate Meghan (On top of her bing black). Kate doesn’t have any so they don’t see her as a threat.

      • Lowrider says:

Kate doesn’t challenge anything or anyone. . Diana and specifically Meghan challenge the status quo. Kate is an outsider that stays in her lane and keeps her mouth shut. If she ever decided to own her position she could generate interest.

  34. Mrs. Peel says:

They both look like they are suffering from vitamin deficiencies. They are both highly allergic to work. And lastly, they are the least photogenic sisters in history.

    • YaGotMe says:

I too am pretty un photogenic , some of us just lose the genetic lottery.

    • KatV says:

That’s just being mean. No matter what their dad has done. They didn’t do it, I don’t know these two women but as far as I’m concerned they’re not the sex offenders.

  35. Mellie says:

    Yuk, ugh, no.

  36. CindyP says:

Anyone still wondering why Harry & Meghan got out of dodge??

  37. Lowrider says:

Why not? The York women would do a good job knowing their place in that family.

    • Jaded says:

They’d do a good job faffing around at a few visits here and there and if they’re anything like their parents, they’d be on the grift too.

  38. B Grata says:

I cant get beyond the googly eyes and teeth to take those girls seriously

    • KatV says:

So if you lose in the looks department you don’t stand a chance in life? Sad. Now, if they’re work shy and didn’t behave it’s something else. I don’t know enough about these two to judge, but I know it’s wrong judging people on their looks only!

  39. aquarius64 says:

The York name still stinks because of Andrew’s mess. Andy made Bea his pizza alibi in that trainwreck interview. The Feds may want to talk to her.

  40. HK9 says:

Makes me think of that Godfather III line ” Just when I though I was out, they pull me back in!” 🙂

  41. What. . .now? says:

100% this has Pedo Andy and Grifter Fergie’s prints all over it. What better way to “get back into the family” — AKA more money that they can tap for their own ridiculous spend thrift ways. Let’s be real. They won’t be able to use Bea and Eug’s trust funds as an ATM anymore and they need a new revenue stream. What better way than to push their daughters out there as a distraction while they sneak behind the scenes to rob the place blind.

Plus, it’ll be a gift to the press. They will have someone new to savage — and since they “mean girled” Kate for a long time–Ma Midds and Keen Katie can keep the leaks coming, and keep the press at bay from the Cambridges, Ross Gardening, and other stuff under wraps for a little while longer.

But I doubt Charles will allow it.

    • That’s right WhatNow. There was a lot of press about the York sisters mean girling Kate. I’ve also read that Beatrice especially mean girled Meghan. Like their father, they see themselves as really special.

  42. lunchcoma says:

Eh. This seems fine? Harry and Meghan were bullied out, but they’re gone for good now and there’s a gap. Beatrice and Eugenie seem to want the job, and Will and Kate want the prestige but not the work. I guess it’s not great that Andrew gets what he wants, but it seems like a practical choice.

    • Lady D says:

No one to suffer consequences for their actions in driving out H&M?

      • lunchcoma says:

They’ve been exposed as petty schemers and racists, and the Queen in particular has been shown to have awful judgment.

Having a couple of minor princesses doing charity work in a more official way doesn’t change that, nor does it replace an opportunity to be more dynamic and progressive that the royals squandered.

Seems like the appropriate result is the negative judgment, and that this is a minor and predictable bit of life going on. If some organizations decide royal support doesn’t seem so attractive anymore, maybe that’s okay too.

  43. sassafras says:

Okay, I don’t want to blame B&E for Andrew’s… uh… issues. But just think of it. You’re the director of a preschool or a pediatric hospital and you get told that – Exciting NEWS!!! – you’ve been selected for a royal visit. This will bring positive PR to your work, to your charity, to your fundraiser/ what-have-you. Then you get told it’s Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

And then you realize that any story about your venture, your heart’s passion, your life’s work will also mention the Duke of York because he could be questioned by the FBI at any moment and Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted child sex trafficker. You won’t know what the headline could be. You won’t know if your charity, that depends on good will and donations, will be mentioned in the same breath with SEX TRAFFICKING.

Maybe I’m overreacting but bringing them into the work puts people into an impossible situation, IMO.

    • HMMMM says:

If really they want to distance themselves from their father, step one would be to stop going by “of York.” (HRH Princess) Eugenie Brooksbank is fine on its own.

      • Sofia says:

Technically Eugenie is HRH Princess Eugenie, Mrs Jack Brooksbank

The “Of York” title got dropped when she married

  44. Jaded says:

Dad’s a hebephile, Mom’s a vulgar grifter, their daughters are lazy-ass socialites. Perfect, just effing perfect as representatives of the BRF.

    • Scollins says:

Repulsive family. All of them. We can pick through and try to find decent moments with the entire RF but we clearly see they are all seriously damaged as humans. We saw it with Diana and now with H&M. The respect paid to TQ is baffling. It starts at the top.

  45. Coco says:

But what if they’ve inherited their father’s Sporadic Sweatlessness? Someone will have to follow them around with a fainting couch.

    • HMMMM says:

He got that serving in the Falklands because mummy’s special boy is a WAR HERO!! just like Buster Bluth!!

  46. olala says:

Lol and hmmm…so now it looks like Sussexes did so much work that now all the rest of royal family have to step up ?? (Eugenie, Beatrice, Sophie et etc) jeez they can’t keep it even barely logical

  47. Dabadass says:

I feel bad for the women. I have heard Bea was assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein at 14. I don’t know if it’s true but it sure would explain a lot
Andrew needs to go away forever, jail obviously but that’s not happening.

    • Paigeishere says:

Where on earth did you read that?

I’ve never heard it, and it’s exceptionally unlikely.

A man like that would never touch a Blood Princess (or any princess), predators prey on vulnerable women, not the most cosseted, protected girls on the planet. And there’s no way the Yorks would protect Epstein for as long as they did.

      • Scollins says:

Filth Epstein might have found it titillating to mess with royals. The RF go to great lengths to cover any messiness up. They are supporting nasty Andrew after all.

  48. swirlmamad says:

All the glaring problems with this aside….what on earth is going on with Bea’s dress in the top picture? Yikes.

  49. Awkward symphony says:

😂😂😂I hope this is true(although its tempting, the York sisters know what it’d cost them+are already dealing with daddy’s pedo association). That will br the nail in their coffin.

  50. Thea says:

Charles, will, and Kate would probably love this. B & E would be the press’ new punching bag.

  51. Misty says:

Why not Peter Phillips, he has nothing better to do.

  52. It's a dry heave says:

    Yeah, right!!!

First of all, “the Yorks” and “working” are words that could never accurately be used in the same sentence.

Secondly, Beatrice and Eugenie will always be Prince Pedophile’s progeny, and therefore tainted by him. Add to that ALL the Yorks’ reputations for being status-seeking, taxpayer-money sucking parasites and …..

People simply won’t accept them. Especially with papa Prince Pedophile hiding from U.S. investigators about “the Epstein issue.”

  53. PrincessK says:

I am expecting that Meghan will sooner rather than later be back to spend some time in the U.K. l am also pretty sure that she will be pregnant this year. Where she will give birth will be interesting.

  54. Jana says:

This fucking family really puts the diss in dysfunctional. Nobody wants the weird twins from The Shining to take over anything!

  55. Lily says:

I’m so glad Harry and Meghan got away from this lot.

  56. Viv says:

Stop trying to make fetch happen. It’s not going to happen!
