MISUNDERSTOOD @presleygerber

More than a week ago, Presley Gerber revealed his new face tattoo, which reads “MISUNDERSTOOD.” Some believe that a face tattoo is always a cry for help. Some believe a face tattoo is always going to be cool and Post Malone-ish. I judge on a case-by-case basis! I think Amber Rose’s face tattoo was simply a poorly executed way to honor her sons. I think Presley Gerber’s face tattoo was an attempt for this young man – who grew up in Malibu?? – to try to pretend like he’s some hard-life gangster type. He is a Rebel Without a Beach House, and he is mad as hell!

Separating from the pack. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son, Presley Gerber, wants to pave his own path outside of his famous family after making headlines for his “misunderstood” face tattoo.

“Presley is obviously going through a super rebellious phase right now,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “He is trying to get out of the shadow of his family and find his own way and create his own identity. He also likes the attention he’s been getting, even if negative, from his tattoo and recent posts.”

The insider adds that the successes of Crawford, 54, Rande, 57, and Presley’s sister Kaia Gerber, 18, make things harder for the 20-year-old model. “Presley feels like there’s a lot of pressure on him because his parents and Kaia are so successful, and Kaia is thought of as a ‘sweetheart’ and Cindy and Rande have such respected reputations in everything they do,” the source says. “He wants to do his own thing and find his own place in the world.”

Earlier this month, Presley revealed that he got a face tattoo that read “misunderstood.” After receiving backlash for his new ink, he took to Instagram Live to explain why he got the tattoo.

“If I thought this was going to ruin my face or I didn’t want this, I wouldn’t have done it. I think that’s a pretty obvious thing,” Presley said on February 8. “If anyone has s–t to say to me about this or anything else and my family or how I grew up or anything, I will give you my address, I promise, and you can come say it to my face.”

[From Us Weekly]

LMAO, “I will give you my address, I promise, and you can come say it to my face [which I just tattooed to read ‘misunderstood’ because HARD KNOCK LYFE].” I know that (white) guys go through a lot from the ages of 16 to 21. There are hormones and toxic masculinity and peer pressure and all of that. But good lord, this child is a poseur.

  1. minx says:

The way he is pointing at his tattoo is hilarious.

  2. Digital Unicorn says:

Yep, kid is an insufferable poseur – a white rich kid playing at being a street gangsta. Mummy and Daddy will pay for him to get those tat’s removed once he’s got it out of his system.

    • whatWHAT? says:

I love the “I want to make my own way” BS…so, you’re going to forfeit your bank card/trust fund, right? and be financially independent? no?

      then STFU.

      • pottymouth pup says:

he wants to make his own way . . . through the modeling career his mommy set him up for?

    • Layla Beans says:

      He’s Chet Hanks 2.0.

      • minx says:

Yep. And the parents pushed those kids into modeling at very young ages—knowing what the business is like—instead of insisting they get an education. So now they have this douchebag and his sister, who looks like she’s going to collapse.

      • MaryContrary says:

@minx: exactly right. There are plenty of people in their circles (rich, connected) who still prioritize their kids’ education and having good values.

    • SeriousAF says:

I blame Crawford & Gerber. They basically didn’t have a childhood bc of them. Those two are awful. Gerber & Clooney, don’t get me started on them…

  3. shells_bells says:

The rest of his tattoos are pretty bad too, but why the face?!?! So stupid. I hope he never gets hired for another job.

  4. Murphy says:

I have a cousin just like him, head so far up his a$$ he’s blind.
“I’m very responsible and high achieving, I am amazing, you are all stupid, I do all this great stuff, you can’t see it, you don’t understand’
well yeah, we’ve literally never SEEN you do anything great.

  5. Ali says:

I hope the tattoo isn’t real.

Like it’s not a good look.

  6. lucy2 says:

    Well, he sounds delightful.

You know what else is a good way to “rebel” against rich parents and a spoiled childhood? Go to college and be a public school teacher or a nurse. Go build houses for Habitat for Humanity. Volunteer at a community center for kids who don’t have all the wealth and privilege.

    • Ang says:

This exactly! So many things he can do to “rebel” but those wouldn’t give him hollow attention that these young people so desperately crave. It’s sad

    • Lightpurple says:

Was about to say the same thing. None of that seems to have been considered by him or his parents.

As for the face tattoo, one of my older brothers had a rule: “Don’t do anything to your body that the nursing home staff will laugh at when you’re 95 and suffering dementia.” I think a “misunderstood” tattoo on the face qualifies.

    • whatWHAT? says:

      *clapping*

well said, lucy2. forfeit your trust fund (donate it) and work for a living.

    • LahdidahBaby says:

      Brava, Lucy2. Perfectly said.

    • DragonWise says:

So true! Who does he think he’s fooling? It was a dumb and immature move, and the way he is digging in his heels makes him look even more like an overprivileged toddler. He’s 20, going on 13.

    • Kathryn says:

      Well put Lucy2!

    • holly hobby says:

Bruce Springsteen’s son is a fireman in Jersey.

    • Me says:

      Yes this ^^^^^

  7. Mia4s says:

“ Rebel Without a Beach House”

    😂 I’m screaming. That’s the best.

Only the rich can really pull off this “rebellious” nonsense in their twenties. I did my rebellion age 17-18….then I went to university and had a job. Sorry but 20 is pushing it. He’s just pathetic.

Oh and what are the plans for the daughter? How long is a modelling career? No education or particular talent or charisma. Planning to marry well I guess? 🙄

    • Originaltessa says:

Yes, this. Who rebels at 20? You’re a goddamn grownup. 14 year olds rebel. This is so embarrassing.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

i can see her going down the Cara Delevingne/Suki Waterhouse route – acting (and badly). Failing that she will marry some billionaire tech entrepreneur ala Miranda whatsherface.

    • Mabs A'Mabbin says:

It takes unyielding and torturous labor to make commercials for, “Rooms To Go,”

And rebel without a beach house brought me to the comments lol. That and hard knock “LYFE.” I felt the same way reading about him this past weekend. He’s a gilded turd.

  8. one of the Marys says:

You wrote it before me, exactly what I was thinking

You know what else is a good way to “rebel” against rich parents and a spoiled childhood? Go to college

  9. AnnaKist says:

Pfft. What a twat. And a lame twat an’ all. Get a job, you goose. (Apologies to any geese who might be reading this.)

  10. Laura says:

If he’s so concerned about proving himself in his chosen career maybe not a great idea for the model to get a face tattoo? Agree with the others who have said if he wants to stand out and create his own identity getting an education is a good place to start.

  11. Kyla says:

Somewhere out there Chet Hanks is practising his Patois and jealously contemplating his own face tattoo.

  12. Lala11_7 says:

    He’s rich…male and White…

LIFE has taught him that he can do…WHATEVA he wants…

  13. Carol says:

If you want to be different from your family, how about getting a college degree and working a job instead of being a model. Just saying.

  14. OriginalLara says:

Cindy Crawford used to be my favorite supermodel but I can’t help but judge her how her children turned out. Why aren’t her and her husband pushing for college? Why allow them from a very young age to have public Instagram accounts? Cindy seems so desperate nowadays and vacant and she wasn’t like this. She was professional and came off as level-headed in her twenties. Where did this all go?

    • whatWHAT? says:

IIRC, she was valedictorian of her HS class. clearly her parents were better at it than she is.

      • ME says:

She was studying Engineering when she was approached by a modelling scout. I’m guessing she tried to push education on her kids but they weren’t having it…knowing they could make money the “easy way” since their mother dropped out of College I believe.

      • OriginalLara says:

        Yes, she was.
I doubt she was pushing education on her kids. Kaia modelled since she was a pre-teen and I feel like we’ve been fed little stories here and there particularly about Kaia since she was little. Compare Cindy’s (and Rande’s) public parenting to Chisty Turlington’s private one, who’s married to Ed Burns. You rarely read or hear anything about her children. It boggles my mind.

      • DragonWise says:

Cindy has said some pretty cringe-y things in interviews about Kaia’s career that make it pretty clear that she is re-living her own modeling days through Kaia, and is low-key jealous of her having a younger, firmer body like she used to have. I am not sure if Rande (I hate that spelling of Randy with the fire of a thousand suns!) has similar feelings about Presley, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

    • Snappyfish says:

I remember the reason she & Gere divorced wee that she wanted children & he did not. Which is a v v valid reason for ending a relationship. Years later, however, Gere has a child. I think he actually has 2 now w/different wives. I now believe that he just didn’t want a child w/Crawford.

      • lucy2 says:

Or he changed his mind as he got older, it happens.
It is amazing that someone with Cindy’s academic background didn’t push for her kids to focus on their education.

      • minx says:

I live not too far from where she went to high school, it’s a perfectly fine public school but nothing special. And she only went to Northwestern for one quarter.

      • Snappyfish says:

@minx. You remind me all the time why I adore you!! Everything you said x200

      • minx says:

        Snappyfish—🥰😚

  15. Ellen Olenska says:

Maybe he should try rebelling by becoming a physician or a peace corp volunteer. Break out of the family mold in a wild a crazy way…

  16. Kelly says:

He looks and sounds stupid but that tattoo didnt damage anyone other than himself so I cant bring myself to care about it. This young man can ruin his life as much as he wants as long as he doesnt ruin others.

Cindy and Rande have a lot to reflect about.

    • K-Peace says:

Yes except that some months back this spoiled doofus was arrested for driving while very intoxicated.—So that shows he does engage in stuff that very well could hurt people other than himself. (I loathe selfish idiots who drive drunk.—My best friend was killed by one when we were 18.)

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@K-Peace So very sorry to hear the tragic story of your friend’s passing. I lost a friend to a drunk driver as well; the rage and pain never leave you.

  17. Marianne says:

You’d think if he wanted to get away from the shadow of his family’s fame, he would quietly move to someplace outside of LA or New York and get a “normal” job like the rest of us.

  18. Elo says:

How are we supposed to say it to his face when we can’t get by the guard at his gated community?

  19. Silas says:

I prefer the way Jaden Smith rebels. All three Smith children are such sweet kids.

I think some messed up stuff happened in the Crawford Gerber home. All about appearances and a mess behind the scenes.

    • ME says:

Jaden is a good kid who is doing amazing charitable things. He’s leaps and bounds above Cindy’s son who is only known for a DUI and face tat.

  20. ME says:

Meh typical rich entitled white boy. They all “suffer” don’t you know?

  21. MellyMel says:

He used to be so cute and now he just…ugh. He’ll have it removed I’m sure when he grows up a little bit and sees how ridiculous he’s being.

  22. Jaded says:

Man those kids turned out to be hot messes. Cindy and Rande must be so proud….

  23. Anon says:

It’s only been a little more than week?! It feels like a lifetime lol

  24. What. . .now? says:

“Rebel without a Beach House” says it all, no?

He needs to crawl out of his own ass, and try “real life.” Have him get a job where he works at least 40+ per week and try to afford living in LA. Not even Posh LA, just LA in general. See how well that works out if you paid your own rent, and paid for your phone, clothes and entertainment, and your car (gas, insurance, maintenance). Do it, Presley. Show every one what a hardworking dude you are. . .

Everyone here knows he’d tap out before the end of the first day. There is no way this spoiled little bish could make a whole week–even if he still lived at home. Misunderstood my butt. He’s just mad because he’s not considered a ‘star’ like everyone else in the fam.

  25. matahari33 says:

I can’t take it seriously with that last name. I’m just imagining the Gerber baby.

  26. Flying fish says:

    He is an idiot.

  27. Courtney B says:

I’m reminded of marlon Brando’s line in one of his early movies (The Wild One?) He’s asked what he’s rebelling against and he’s just casual and says ‘whaddya got?’
