Within certain celebrity groups, it feels like there’s only one dating pool. How many NBA players have dated Kardashians or Jenners? How many nepotism models has Justin Bieber slept with? How messy was the Weeknd’s thing with Selena Gomez AND Bella Hadid? One example of this is Sofia Richie, who briefly dated Justin Bieber, and then somehow ended up dating Scott Disick when she was something like 19 years old. She’s 21 years old now, and Scott is 36 years old, the father of three and a man with a long history of drug and alcohol abuse. Scott has real person problems. And Sofia’s big problem in life is that she wants to transition from Instagram nepotism-model to actress. Recently, Scott entered (then quickly exited) a rehab facility. While Sofia said words of support, it looks like she’s not sticking around:
Sofia Richie is Disick-free … or so it seems, because she’s been hanging out with a new dude day after day after day. Sofia’s been staying at a Malibu mansion over the last 3 days at the beach house owned by a guy …. a guy people seem to think Sofia’s now dating.
Sofia and Scott have been dating for 3 years, and there have been some bumps along the way, but this time she may have actually moved on.
As we reported, Scott checked into a rehab facility earlier this month but bailed a day later after it appears someone took a photo of him at the front desk. Scott’s lawyer, legal pit bull Marty Singer, believes a staff member from the facility took the pic and has threatened legal action. There were reports Scott had checked in for alcohol and cocaine, but his people insist that’s not the case, saying he was there because he hadn’t dealt with the grief over the death of his parents. He has, however, struggled with alcohol and drug abuse and has had several stints in rehab in the past.
Okay. If they did break up, I’m glad. They didn’t belong together. She was too young and he was too screwed up. They promoted the idea that they were some kind of gross “inspo” couple but they were just an example for young women of what NOT to do. Don’t settle for a much older guy who has a tractor-trailer full of baggage. Don’t date reality stars. Don’t date in the same C-list LA dating pool endlessly.

Just… I know that there’s a lot of “kids who grow up in the spotlight are actually mature” or “grow up faster” or whatever. But as a person in her 30s, I have NO idea how I’d be able to maintain a relationship with someone who’s 18 years old. What do you talk about? Or is the fact that this was more than a summer fling more of a sign of Scott’s own (lack of) maturity? I just don’t get the attraction of dating someone so young, unless what these men are aiming for is the lack of intellectual challenge, emotional support, and understanding.
Maybe I’m oversimplifying/reading too much into this/clearly needing a hobby.
I feel like this counts as a great hobby! Idk, I was the younger half of a bunch of these when I was younger, including two longterms with guys with 3 kids… Not an endorsement! I don’t think it’s a good idea. I think what appeals to the guy, though, is a kind of shallow, unchallenging emotional support. Like she’s too young to really understand what divorce and alcoholism mean for him, so she can last longer without getting impatient that he doesn’t have his sh*t together. He seems mature to her! And I think these kind of guys basically groom you, so they spend a lot of time making you feel *so* understood and *so* heard and they listen to *all* your problems with your girlfriends. They make you feel like you’re the most important thing in the world (after their family), unlike most 19 year old boys. And that gets him undeserved adorarion. It’s just ugh, lots of ugh.
I actually respect how much Scott has grown. He seems to be trying to be a good father. Alcohol is one tough drug to overcome. I wish him luck in beating it and focusing on his family.
I do too. From everything I’ve seen of the Kardashians, he seems like a good guy who just has a lot of demons. But he appears to try very hard to be a good dad, and that counts for a lot in my book.
Scott’s relationship with that family is seriously the best thing about ANY of those people. They’re all pretty vapid and vile, but they really treat him like a permanent and loved member, and it’s quite sweet.
Hes a good looking guy, and I’m sure also super charming. I can get why a young woman would fall for him despite the messiness in his life. But, that was also the reason he went with someone so young. Bless her heart. Live & learn. As for Scott, I’m rooting for him, I think hes trying to be a better person. I hope so.
That’s lousy if someone took a photo of him at the rehab and sold it.
What does she even do?? These people run around taking pictures of themselves, and call themselves models??? She is the height of a gnat.
And Justin Bieber apparently dated Kourtney for a while. Hailey Bieber is best friends with Kendall Jenner. Amber Rose and Kim K both dated Reggie Bush(and Kim now married) Kanye .And how are they fine with Scott dating Sofia the K sisters have known her since she was a little girl,they were childhood friends with Nicole Richie! The K sisters have also gone after a lot of their friends current boyfriends at the time(Travis Scott,French Montana,Trey Songs etc) its a cess pool.
That’s why I think Kylie isn’t bothered about Jordyn cheating with Tristan, they seem to pass each other around. But they need the drama for their tv show.
He is the only reason I ever watched that show, he made me laugh every single time! And….I may or may not have a pinterest board dedicated to his quips and one liners.
I completely agree that this couple didn’t belong together, but have real objections to the reasons being that he’s “screwed up,” “older” and “has a tractor-trailer full of baggage.” The characterizations seem to completely devalue single parents, 30-somethings and even people struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. I don’t watch KUWTK, so I don’t know if he is charming or kind of rude or anything else. I also don’t know what kind of person Sofia is, but it appeared to me that she was looking for a suitor that would boost her fame after things sizzled with her first attempt (Justin Bieber). She seems like an opportunist and I am not surprised to hear that she is looking for her next level of notoriety (acting). Not all 19 year olds are innocent damsels taken advantage of by an older man. And not all older, single parents are unworthy of finding new love, even as they may have issues to work through.
