Kristin Cavallari announces that her show is over, frames it like it was her decision

Kristin Cavallari has posted a message to Instagram announcing that she won’t be continuing her E! reality show, Very Cavallari, which aired for three seasons starting in July, 2018. The final episode aired on March 19th of this year. Kristin posted this caption to the image above:

As I start this new chapter in my life, I have decided not to continue with ‘Very Cavallari.’ I’ve absolutely loved my time filming and am so grateful to E! Entertainment for making this journey possible. To the fans: I can’t thank you enough for all your support and for keeping up with me all of these years. I love you guys 💛

Do you think it was a contract decision, meaning that E! wasn’t offering her the salary she wanted, or do you think that E! pulled the plug? It’s also possible that her ex, Jay Cutler, refused to participate and that contributed to the show being canceled. The third season was down in viewership vs. the second season, but it seemed to be getting steady ratings. This also could have been more of a business decision by E!, since everything has gone to sh-t lately and reality shows are expensive. This makes me wonder if Kristin regrets buying that $10 million compound in Nashville. She’s probably counting on her divorce settlement to pay for it.

Meanwhile Kristin’s ex best friend, Kelly Henderson, has denied having an affair with Kristin’s now-estranged husband, Jay. About two weeks ago Kelly posted a photo to Instagram of an man’s arm with a bead bracelet that looked quite similar to a bracelet Jay has. According to Kelly she’s dating someone else though, and she’s trying to keep his identity a secret. She told divorce lawyer Laura Wasser on her podcast that there was never an affair.

“I’m just gonna go ahead and put this out there, there was never an affair. I have nothing to do with their divorce and I am not dating Jay Cutler. I’ve been in a relationship for quite some time now. He is a very private person and I respect that. You know, him and his kids are a huge part of my life now, but I try to keep them out of the public part of my life because it’s not what they signed up for.”

I believe Kelly that she didn’t cheat with Jay, but she was totally trolling by posting that photo of her boyfriend’s arm. She wanted outlets to talk about her, that’s what these people thrive on.

This is probably an odd thing to say but here it goes… I’m kinda glad MK’s divorce story broke as well because I’m kinda sick of hearing about Kristin Cavillari and her drama.

    • Winnie says:

Jay was the only thing that made the show interesting. Without him, it was a snooze fest.

I’m so sick of this chick. Is she finally going away??!!!! Hooray!!!!!

    • It’sJustBlanche says:

Right? I barely know who she is and she looks like she could use some rest, frankly.

I think the more logical explanation is that E! would of course want all of the divorce trouble, and KC did not want the drama filmed because of her kids. E! probably wanted access to one (Jay/divorce) or the other (the kids/home/work life), and she refused. I have a feeling once everything is settled and the divorce is final, the show may come back. Her store here in Nashville is very popular, especially with tourists.

Not everything has to be scandalous and not everything has to be televised.

    • Yoyo says:

Jay is not the one out there leaking stories, to one tabloid and denying it to a next.
Just maybe, Jay did not want any part of a reality going forward.

    • Bucky says:

But she dragged her family through the mud for publicity for years. If she grew a sense of guilt or decorum and wanted to stop that, why escalate all of the divorce drama by reaching out for exposure?

  4. Leigh says:

Remember when reality shows first started and they were cheap to produce? Now these reality stars can make tens to hundreds of thousands a season, and everything is all but scripted.

  5. sassafras says:

Am I the only one who thought maybe the show was on the bubble and the divorce filing (since the timing was really weird) was done to keep the show on? No? Just me? Okay.

  6. Pandora says:

She can join the Hills reboot.

  7. Ashley says:

TBH Jay was the main draw for me. I really enjoyed him. When i heard about the divorce my selfish first thought was “but the show!” This makes sense…

  8. Bucky says:

Well before the divorce news, the industry sites/publications all said that the show only had draw because of Jay. More than one said that it (with Jay) would be better as a YouTube series. Maybe Jay stuck it out with her the last year out of respect for her commitment to the show?

I get a kick out of this friend Kelly who thinks she’s famous enough that who she dates draws any kind of attention. These influencer randos really are too much lately!! You are not interesting. Go get an actual job. Get off my lawn!!! I’ve had it!!!!
