A bankrupt company’s shady ‘loans’ to Sarah Ferguson are being investigated

Gabriella Windsor wedding

It is nothing short of spectacular to see how thoroughly the wheels have come off the York train following Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious death last year. This time last year, it was widely assumed that Andrew was flush with cash from unknown shady business deals, and that’s how he could afford a huge Swiss chalet and more. He’s also been “helping” his ex-wife’s finances for years, mostly through arranging his friends and business partners to simply loan Fergie money, money which (I assume) she never has to pay off. It’s startling to think of just how crazy it is that Fergie has never really been able to climb out of debt, and that she’s always “broke” or in desperate need of some kind of bailout. She’s a scammer and she’s bad with money, a terrible combination. Anyway, as soon as Epstein died, mysteriously the Yorks’ finances got really terrible. Suddenly, they could no longer afford the Swiss chalet. And we’re hearing more about all of these strange “loans” given to Fergie over the years.

This story is a bit dry, but here are the basics. In 2017, Fergie became the executive director of Gate Ventures, an entertainment-investment company founded by Geoff Morrow. Fergie came on board to help lift the profile of Gate Ventures. The company lost millions of pounds in a few years. And now mysterious loans from Gate Ventures to Fergie are being investigated:

The administrators of an entertainment company are investigating a number of unexplained transactions, including over half a million pounds in loans made to the Duchess of York. Insolvency practitioners from Quantuma are looking into the loans written by Gate Ventures to the duchess, who was a former director of the company, along with loss-making theatre investments linked to Lord Grade of Yarmouth, 77, the Chair of Gate, as reported by The Times. The Duchess of York, 60, was a director of the company between July 2017 and stepped down in December.

She received a £290,000 personal loan from Gate, while Ginger & Moss, a tea company that she set up, received a loan of £232,000. ‘Ginger . . . has not achieved material sales to date. We are investigating loans which have been made, together with how best to optimise this investment for the benefit of creditors,’ administrators recorded in proposals filed at Companies House.

The duchess is understood to believe that Gate also owes her money and is said to be in discussions with administrators. The business was placed in administration in March after it failed to fend of a High Court claim from Zheng Youngxiong, an investor who claimed that the business owes him £2.5 million. The High Court in London heard that Gate Ventures, was in ‘complete disarray’ and had lost £19million out of £24million invested.

[From The Daily Mail]

This company was so f–king shady that their charter was to finance theatrical shows and yet they were floating £232K loans to Fergie’s tea company for no reason? And she’s still trying to scam more money out of the now bankrupt company? Classic. But remember, the Queen has perfect judgment and Fergie and Andrew’s shenanigans are A-OK with the Queen and the royal establishment. It’s not like Fergie had a baby shower in New York or anything.

That pink dress is crying along its seams.

Also i am so glad all this shady stuff is SLOWLY getting osme attention. That lying pedo Andrew must get exposed as the filthy slimey waste that he is, and maybe this will help topple him.

    • Züri says:

Ha! Couldn’t have said it better myself about the seams. That dress is just…so breathtakingly bad.

I’m also really glad the Yorks’ shady dealings are finally getting attention. I hope they topple not only Randy Andy, but also Felonious Fergie. She supports him 100% and is spearheading the “Normalize Andrew” campaign.

  2. GR says:

I really wonder how much longer the British monarchy is going to last.

    • janey says:

as a Brit, and taxpayer, I hope not long…

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

        Seconded, Janey.
And for those who bellow ‘but Trump! Blair!’ it’s not a binary choice – we could very well have Jacinta Arden, for heaven’s sake. And a President would be accountable, and removable. In the UK, at any rate.

      • Prayer Warrior says:

as a Canadian and a taxpayer, I hope not long….

      • Lady D says:

Your mouth to the republic’s ear, Prayer Warrior.

    • Mac says:

IDK, they have existed for 1,000 years or so.

      • Jaded says:

That was before the days of instant social media exposure and transparency – a lot of their mystique was because they cloaked themselves in secretive grandeur. Nowadays, as we see daily, the emperors are wearing no clothes.

  3. Sofia says:

It really is time an investigation into the York finances were conducted. Long overdue.

Al Capone went to jail for tax evasion not murder so this could be the thing that /legally/ gets the Yorks into hot water. Andrew hasn’t legally been charged with anything in terms of the Epstein situation (although he should be)

    • Becks1 says:

Sarah could be the weak link. The firm isn’t going to move to protect her at this point, not unless she directly implicates Andrew. So the press knows they can go after her as much as they want until they run into something directly involving Andrew, and I think if it involves money the non-tabloid press will be more interested in in pursuing it, even with Andrew’s involvement. So Sarah Ferguson could be what starts the ball rolling.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

The things with Fergie is that she knows as long as she remains close to the favourite pedo they will end up protecting her to protect him.

  4. S808 says:

I just need one respected journalist in Britain to grow some balls and blow the story of their finances wide open. it’s mind blogging that there’s not more of an uproar especially when citizens and tabloids make a huge deal about them living off taxpayers. Their history of embezzlement is a great reason to kick them off the tab.

    • Call_me_al says:

Word. But I am enjoying this slow burn. It must be driving PA, SF, and QE crazy that this pesky Epstein business won’t just go away and let them go live their decrepit lives.

    • Ainsley7 says:

A majority of people would have to start really caring for that to happen. There’s been a slow leak of all his shady dealings since the 90’s. Parliament cared for a minute in 2011 and all they made him do was step down as trade ambassador. Even though it was pointed out that he‘s BFF’s with dictators and arms dealers and BFFs with Epstein. The info coming out doesn’t surprise anyone because it’s always the same story. So, no journalist will waste their time digging deep when they know it won’t go anywhere.

  5. Marjorie says:

I don’t understand why she keeps having to “borrow” money when it’s clear she is never going to pay it off. Why don’t these scammers just say they are paying her a salary for her valuable , sage advice.

The old story about the dead rapist pedophile (copyright Lainey) lending her $15k and her having to pay it back also reeks. Fergie doesn’t get out of bed for $15k.

Chuck has said for years that the next royal family will be limited to his immediate family, which has always been code for “I know what Andrew is up to.”

    • Eleonor says:

I think he knows Andrew is one toxic person. And Fergie too.

      • ArtHistorian says:

They are def toxic persons – but I think that Charles’ view is that Andrew is a HUGE liability to the BRF/monarchy, which is true. A lot of the Epstein/Andrew stuff has been known for a long time but with his interview Andrew opened the door himself – and I think that is partly the reason why the ball may finally get rolling slowly on the press really looking into his all the shady stuff he has been engaged in for decades.

Apart from the Duke of Windsor’s political sympathies (and possible treasonous actions), all of which was suppressed for a long time, Andrew is the most serious scandal ever to have hit the House of Windsor.

    • Ruby_Woo says:

These people are professional beggars. And it’s just so weird where all this money goes. They live rent-free in a huge mansion, she must get some sort of alimony from him, their daughters are grown up with jobs and very wealthy partners. She must get free-stuff thrown at her. So why all this need for money? Maybe she needs money to keep other people quiet?

The conspiracy side of me thinks that a lot of these shady companies ‘loaning’ her money for access to connections via ex-hubby.

I also wouldn’t be shocked if a lot of these shady people are involved in illegal businesses and using these companies as a front to launder money.

And I also would be surprised if the only reason she still lives with Andrew is because she has way too much dirt on him, and if he ever cuts her off, she’ll be a loose-canon.

      • damejudi says:

I’ve wondered that too. Where does all the money go? What can she possibly be spending it on?

Why does SF keep falling into debt? I was pulling for her post-split with Andrew, when she made a public show of working (writing the Budgie books, Weight Watchers) and did the accountability publicity tour.

She’s adept at squandering money and goodwill.

      • Ruby_Woo says:

@damejudi: maybe she has to spend a lot to mix in those circles. I know people who have gotten into debt by pretending to be rich so they could land a rich husband! It always backfires.

But the fact that Andrew blatantly financially supports her and she must get so much free stuff on virtue of her connections, it just still seems wild that she’s always begging/ in debt.

I do also think she does a lot of shady finance stuff/ gets loans really on Andrew’s behalf so he won’t be connected to any of this mess.

      • Jaded says:

She’s always been a total spendaholic. I once read an article detailing what she bought on a shopping trip to Paris and it was unimaginable. Hundreds of pairs of shoes, massive amounts of clothing, jewelry, art, antiques, million dollar crystal light fixtures, it was unreal. She’s been an addictive spender all her life and as soon as she makes some money it flies out the door, either spending more or paying off loans/banks, etc.

    • Mumbles says:

As to why she’s getting fake “loans” as opposed to fake “salaries” it might be an accounting trick on the company’s part. A real, bona-fide loan has a likelihood of getting paid back to the company with interest, so it’s treated differently on the books than a salary. Also, Fergie probably doesn’t have to record it as income on her part, and get taxed. It all stinks to high heaven. And yes, I do think she’s either selling access or laundering it somehow. She offers no value – who, other than a small collection of weirdos, would buy something because she’s associated with it? Any company who would put HER on their board is not doing it for a legitimate business purpose. Git ‘em all.

  6. OriginalLala says:

Peel back all the shady layers of the BRF and all we will see is a rotting pile of entitlement and privilege. These people are all disgusting, I guess it’s not enough they are given wealth and luxury beyond our imagination just because of who their parents/spouses are… what a truly vile family.

    • me says:

They are blood descendants of people that got power and privilege by killing. The old fashion way. Not by getting a degree and working the rat race to a good job, not by entrepreneurship or tech inventions. Considering this, they are quite tame. I find idolizing royals disgusting. People have a choice for first time in history and we are stuck in kissing royal ass mode. And Pope’s ass for that matter. And celebrity ass too, but here my wisdom stops since I am still stuck on this addiction. Not favoring any celebrity, yet giving attention. But I am working on it.

  7. KellyRyan says:

Interesting to wonder where and when the implosion of the BRF will occur. Investigation of financials, disgusted by grifting when the citizens of UK are under the horror of Covid-19, PA escaping the UK to avoid prosecution.

  8. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

I think the Yorks, God willing, may finally thump the last nail into the Firm’s coffin. Lockdown has been an enormous wakeup call. Without the distraction of everyday minutiae, the British public is becoming irate over their lack of nous, gravitas and willingness to get stuck in. PWT and Keen are getting an enormous load of schtick over their weekly Zoom calls, particularly when PWT states that he understands hard work. They’re easing away from blessing ‘our’ Queen and grumbling about the amount of money it costs to maintain the ‘benefit scroungers’ while the economy tanks. And Raping Andrew is the gift that keeps on giving. He and Fergie have been a walking disgrace for years, but people have been disgusted-indulgent: it was ‘just the way they are’. No more. The Epstein outrage will not go away. He cannot be shielded. And when Old Brenda kicks the bucket, I fully expect Charles to throw him to the wolves.
Perhaps if Andrew hadn’t had undivided maternal attention, he might not be such a disgrace of a ‘human being’.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Andrew really is the product of maternal indulgence, arrogance, the entitlement that comes with his unearned privilege as well as him being dumb as a rock. The Windsors are not know for their intellects but they also seem to be a really incurious bunch so it is not surprising that the family has produced so many incurious and unimaginative people.

Arrogance, entitlement and stupidity really is a deadly combo. I hope this is the beginning of the end for him.

  9. MissM says:

Oh look. Daily Fail is moderating comments on that article. What a surprise

  10. Harper says:

There have been a few photos lately of the Yorks in their Windsor lodge and it really looks luxurious in that old, English country house way. Which really struck home to me how much luxury Andrew and Fergie live in … but it’s not enough for them.

I imagine Fergie checking her back account to confirm that these “loans” have deposited and then she spends it immediately on booking vacays and buying handbags and ordering chocolates and then creating one get rich quick scheme after another until the money’s gone and she rinses and repeats. Her desperation is exhausting.

  11. Mtec says:

    I can’t wait till their time’s up.

  12. aquarius64 says:

The York mess is the karma that keeps on giving. It’s payback on the Windsors for how they treated Harry and Meghan.

  13. Liz version 700 says:

She is so bad at even pretending not to be a stage 5 grifter and clinger. Knowing the things Andrew has done and the victims connected to him…gag. On a more petty note With all of the money she “borrows” and she won’t wear one outfit that actually fits and has never found a properly fitting bra.

    • Jaded says:

She’s always had ghastly taste in clothes – remember the Little House on the Prairie dresses? And that bilious black and pink atrocity she wore to some lavish event? No matter how much money she spends on clothes she always comes off looking like she shops the bargain basement of JC Penny.

    • vertes says:

She always wears clothes about 2 sizes too small. Shop small with the intent of losing a few pounds so it’ll fit? Or maybe she thinks her casing-crammed lard-y look is actually somehow sexy?

  14. Molly says:

The Queen will give the Yorks a message to convey to an important dignitary but she won’t just give them an allowance big enough to cover their lifestyle and she can afford to do that. Interesting.

Why would they not sell the chalet after Epstein died?

  15. Teebee says:

Spill that tea! Though it won’t be from Ginger and Moss. Cause it’s clearly a shell company! 😝

  16. Vanessa says:

If the British tabloids weren’t so wrapped in the obsession with everything Meghan and Harry do is wrong they could have been focusing on the exactly criminals in the royal family. You have a woman who has used and abuse her HRH status to con and manipulated company after company for decades to make herself rich and get loans for I guarantee company’s that she doesn’t own or doesn’t Exist . The only reason she’s be able to commit this white collar crimes is because she white and her Andrew are as thick as thief’s and are under the queens protections . The British press has failed as doing their job to hold the royal family accountable they spend years harassing Meghan with Bogus protocols racist articles attack after attack. All the while two criminals were in the royal family stealing and lying and committing crimes against underage girls but Meghan and Harry are the problem their the ones who have put a black eye on the perfect royal family.

  17. adastraperaspera says:

Do you think they’ll throw Fergie under the bus on this, and thus proclaim that Andrew is blameless (again)? Prince Philip would love that, as he still loathes Fergie.

    • (TheOG) jan90067 says:

She knows TOO MUCH over the decades of being with Pedo. They will NEVER let her “go under” as she’d toss Pedo in a NY minute to save her own ass.

  18. Sanderling says:

It couldn’t be more obvious they’ve been laundering money.

    Okay. ALLEGEDLY laundering money.

Centuries of inbreeding has created a tsunami of stupid they can’t run from anymore.

  19. Linda says:

Wasn’t Fergie diagnosed with bipolar a few years ago? That would explain a lot about her behaviour. That and she has nothing to live on without Andrew.

  20. Guest with Cat says:

All that money wasted on such hideous taste. If she truly has a spending addiction she should have spent the money on a good therapist.

If my life were a series of debt disasters that ultimately land me at the doorstep of a pedophile, I would take that as a wakeup call to get serious help. Not put my precious daughters on a plane to his private island. If she’s intelligent enough to scam this successfully, why isn’t she intelligent enough to get a real life? One that she can be proud of, not hide under a web of deceit.

Speaking of her daughters, the one on the far right of that photo reminded me very intensely of someone. And then it hit me, she looks like Lord Porchester somewhere, somehow in that photo. It’s more of an impression of a resemblance than a pixel by pixel match. I will always suspect that Andrew is the son of the Queen’s secret true love and that is why he has been held so dear to her above all of her other more respectable children. It surely can’t be for his intelligence and industriousness and stellar character.

  21. MsIam says:

How are these people any better than the Markles ? Surely they are as grifty and greedy as Scammy and Toxic Sr. and Jr.?

  22. The Recluse says:

Poor Fergie. She just never amounted to much in the long run, did she?
And Andrew…and to think he was once considered the hunky royal back in the day. Ugh.

  23. Kate says:

I think all these loans get floated on the fact that the queen will die and leave a massive amount of money to her children. Her personal fortune is insanely huge and hers to dole out. When the Queen mum died she left a ton and she had nowhere near the wealth that elizabeth has.

Theses rats have been waiting for their pay day.

Also any word on how much money Philip privately holds?

  24. Dinah says:

I hope an investigative journalist asks the right questions and investigates them thoroughly:
What did Fergie need all the money for, the (business) people who loaned / paid / gave her and still seem to do, despite the fact that all her businesses are failing again and again?
Does she have an addiction? Is she gambling? Why is she always broke?

I mean, she’s living rent-free for years. And she benefits from the good royal life, such as security and travelling, even though she is not a royal or a member of the royal family.

  25. Deeanna says:

Good god, this is truly a case of “doesn’t this woman ever look in a mirror at herself?” Can a friend not gently take her aside and speak to her? Perhaps one of her daughters? Yikes! I’ve seen better looking stuffed sausages.

  26. Bavarian says:

This couple deserves each other. I dont know if Andrew was always such a despicable Person ( I know People that served with him and they say he was an airhead but ok guy) or was it the combination with a toxic Fergie that made them both the way they are.

  27. Awkward symphony says:

Someone on Twitter was speculating that fergi might be the royal to get criminal record not randy Andy who’s everyone is aiming for! The women has LOTS if debts and might finally get the spotlight she is craving for🙄
