Tiffany Trump officially graduated from Georgetown Law & her dad acknowledged it

Trump pardons turkey

I forgot that Tiffany Trump has been living in Washington all this time. She’s been attending Georgetown Law, and she just “graduated” this week. Because of the pandemic, of course no one is really having graduation ceremonies, and I feel sorry for all of the students who were trying to finish their spring course work in quarantine. For whatever record, I’m assuming that Tiffany has merely graduated from law school and she has not yet passed the bar. Still, Tiffany got something from her father: a tweet of acknowledgement.

Narrator’s voice: Donald Trump actually *did* need a lawyer in the family, because he would spend the next years of his life in criminal and civil court for all of his treasonous schemes.

Anyway, considering Tiffany has lived in DC for years as she went to law school, it’s sort of funny to me that she was so rarely seen with her half-siblings or her father. Tiffany maybe got invited to the White House once a year? And only when Ivanka had something else to do. So… congrats, Tiffany. I hope you pass the bar and work as a public defender for years.

Oh tiff. I feel both sorry and not sorry for you. Sorry for those really bad veneers and that ol donny boy is your dad. Not sorry that you did always try to get him to acknowledge you.

I hope you studied well and will make a good lawyer, because you’ll need something to stand on.

  2. Seraphina says:

I don’t see Tiffany running to hang out with the den of thieves and liars. Maybe she earned her way into Georgetown law instead of the family buying it.

    • Esmom says:

I’d like to believe that but I’ve been burned too many times giving anyone in Trump’s orbit the benefit of the doubt. She’s laid low compared to her opportunistic and repulsive older siblings but who knows what’s really going on.

    • minx says:

Of course Trump couldn’t let his tweet be ALL about Tiffany…”Just what I need is a lawyer in the family.”

    • Another Anna says:

Doubt it, considering how often she ran off her 1L year to attend fashion shows and other events. She strikes me as being just as lazy and vapid as the rest of her family.

    • Ronaldinhio says:

She’s too fat for Trump to properly acknowledge. If she dropped 40lb he’d have her everywhere FACT

      • Anne says:

The supreme irony is that she is much prettier than her sister was before all the surgeries…

  3. Daisyfly says:

    Congratulations, Tiffany Maples!

    • B n A fn says:

Is this the name she goes by? I thought it was Trump. Anyway I don’t believe she is any different than the rest of the family including wife #3. All scam artists.

      • Daisyfly says:

I honestly have no clue and don’t care what she does in life. She wants to be a part of that family so bad yet no one there likes her. She literally isn’t a Trump in their eyes so… Tiffany Maples.

  4. girl_ninja says:

    This family is hot garbage.

    ALL of them.

    • Michelle says:

Wow. I can understand your disdain for a lot of members of the Trump family, but I don’t see how Baron (or Tiffany here for that matter) has done anything to cause your ridicule. Leave the kids out of it until they are old enough and they do something to be called hot garbage.

      • EM says:

I think a Law School graduate is old enough. She’s old enough and has had enough experience to know right from wrong (Trump) and has been silent. Sorry but no excuses; family or not. She enables through silent support while thousands die, while laws get broken and children separated from families.

      • Deedee says:

She’s twenty six, not a child.

      • Michelle says:

So do we think the Woody Allen’s kids are hot garbage because he is one? I don’t think so.

      • Christine says:

She tweets her fair share of MAGA crap. Until she proves otherwise I think it’s safe to lump her in with the others.

  5. Ange says:

    She looks happy.

  6. Flamingo says:

I feel bad for the other associates in her class at whichever white shoe firm hires her. I have a feeling they will all be pulling a lot of her weight. Girlfriend has gone on about 100 trips while in law school. That doesn’t leave much time for studying or you know, attending class.

    • manda says:

Like you can’t study in a plane or on the beach? FWIW, I never did any work on saturdays during law school, except for maybe the few saturdays before final exams. I did take my property law and con law text books with me to NOLA one year. I didn’t graduate at the top of my class, but I didn’t graduate at the bottom, either

Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were right. I don’t know anything about Tiffany except for her dad doesn’t seem to care much about her

      • Flamingo says:

I’m sure law school has changed in the ten years since I graduated, but at the time I still actually had to go to class. She is never in DC, look at her Instagram. I have a feeling she will be taking the bar about four times like JFK Jr.

      • manda says:

I guess there IS a chance that she is super smart. I, too, rarely skipped class but I had friends that didn’t attend certain classes at all. Some people learn from reading, and most of the lectures seemed to pretty much come from the reading. But yeah, I agree you have a point there!!

      • Still_Sarah says:

When I was in law school so many years ago, you were graded by 100% final exams. So if you (1) were a good exam writer (I wasn’t) and (2) had access to really good class notes and/or course summaries (bought or given to you), you could pass without spending much time in class. Our exams were “open book”, so you could bring everything in with you when you wrote your exams – textbooks, notes, summaries.

So Tiffany may have vacationed to her heart’s content and still been successful at law school if it was 100% final exams and she had good summaries. As for how much she learned in law school, it’s rare for any of that stuff to be very useful in the practice of law.

      • holly hobby says:

That family isn’t known for brain cells. The other Trump branch, his MIT uncle, got all the brains. This branch got all the crooks.

    • Mina_Esq says:

I’ve never partied as much or travelled as much as I did in law school. Your success depends on building friendships and joining study groups in order to get through all the work. You share notes and build on summaries of casebooks from some legends from a previous class. There were a couple of kids that separated themselves and studied alone, and I can tell you that they didn’t do well in the long run. The rest of us were used to being out partying until 2 am and then making it to the library by 5 am. The thing is, everyone in law school is super smart. There are no dumb party kids. If you are in a top law school, everyone graduates and everyone gets a job. I started out in a national firm and am now in-house at a multinational. I work 70 hours per week. I’m glad I partied when I had the chance! Good on Tiffany for doing law school right!

      • Nic919 says:

Didn’t Jared end up in law school? I think kids who have high level connections and parents who can donate millions don’t exactly need the high LSAT scores and GPA to get in. Tiffany has never distinguished herself as particularly bright and she has yet to pass any bar.

Yes there are smart kids who manage to party and not study non stop. There is a bell curve and it’s hard to fail out once in law school. The rich and connected kids also get automatic job offers because top law firms want their parents as clients. Intelligence is rarely the best indicator of who gets the white shoe / seven sister offers. Some get offers through merit, but the connected kids rarely have to work hard for the offer. Behind the scenes calls from client or prospective clients to key partners happen all the time.

      • manda says:

I definitely had friends that partied their asses off! I did that in undergrad and in the years after graduation. I was a bit older when I went to law school (started in my mid-20s, and most of my sections mates had just graduated from undergrad. One girl was just turning 21 the first few weeks of 1L!) and settled down, so I went home at night. Looking back, I regret not going out with my friends more because after graduation, we all scattered all over and I never get to see them anymore 🙁

      • Lory says:

@Nic919 While true and I agree with you I doubt Don the Con would be willing to part with a hefty sum of money just to get TIffany into a certain school.

      • holly hobby says:

Having worked in the field I would agree with you about smart law school students but how to explain Jay Sekulew and the idiots he has on his team? All lawyers all laughbly bad.

      • Deedee says:

Sorry, from what I see from our politicians, there are a lot of dumb lawyers.

    • Iknow says:

I worked for a premier white shoe law firm and let me tell you, no where is as snobby and elitist as them. They don’t care who your daddy or mother is, or which school you attended – they know a spot can be bought. If you are “famous” and don’t have the brains and the mental acumen to keep up, you won’t be hired. We’ve had two children of actors and one son from a well known New York family and they were very very smart. Tiffany will be hired by a small boutique law firm run by one of daddy’s donors.

    • Züri says:

I have friends who have had her as both an undergrad and law student. The comments are all the same: she’s a smart, hardworking, nice, and unassuming.

      • Agirlandherdog says:

I’m happy to hear that. It may be naive, but I was really hoping that this was something she worked hard for.

  7. Rae says:

I wonder what type of law she’s wanting to specialise in.

My visceral dislike of the Trump family is tempered slightly when it comes to Tiff. Perhaps it’s because she’s been hidden back, or ignored if you’re being blunt, because she’s not Ivanka or born a man. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I feel sorry for her, but I will say that she’s one Trump child that I would LOVE to see give her father the finger!

    • Ange says:

I don’t resent Tiffany or Barron.

    • Natalie says:

Tiffany is desperate for her daddy’s approval. She’s dating some billionaire. Don’t feel sorry for her.

      • Lory says:

The problem is that we as outsiders can easily dismiss someone like Trump because he’s not our blood. She should not seek his approval as he has made it abundantly clear he never wanted her but it’s human nature to want your parent to love you. I know people in their 50s whose parents have done way worse things to them than ignore them and they still seek them out for even a hint of kindness.

    • FHMom says:

I might agree with you except I remember the whole mess with Marla Maples, and I have enough residual dislike of her mom to dislike Tiffany. I’m kind of at the point that anyone associated with Dtrump doesn’t deserve empathy. The only exception is Baron because he has no voice and we know nothing about him. I actually forget he exists most of the time.

      • Lightpurple says:

        His father forgets he exists.

      • vertes says:

Baron has significant issues & was in a “special needs” program @ Columbia Grammar & Prep in NYC. Tuition Is $46K per year + the added cost of help for “special needs.” He was thought by a couple of people I know whose kids also went there to be somewhere on the aspergers or autism spectrum.
His mother always took him to school & was reserved and very polite to the other parents.

      • holly hobby says:

I thought I heard rumors of Marla and Tiffany making demands for comped hair and make up during the run up to the inauguration. So no I remain skeptical of her. She should go into criminal law. She will need to defend her family for free for years and years.

  8. Miumiiiu says:

love that look with the blue jacket and Chanel necklace. She has really nice hair. Also for me it’s nice to see a blonde woman dating a middle Eastern guy (other than Britney of course) we are not very represented!

  9. Lightpurple says:

She graduated on Monday and the father’s Twitter account didn’t acknowledge it until yesterday – I’m not sure he even wrote i, most likely a staffer. Her siblings were very vocal about all sorts of stuff this week (most notably Nagini red pilling with Elon Musk, retweeting about food boxes 4 dozen times, and tweeting a picture of herself at a laptop surrounded by framed pictures of herself) but not one of them acknowledged her achievement.

I’m not so quick to give Tiffany credit for not being closer to them. She chose to attend law school on the East Coast, at a school where Daddy bought entry for two of her siblings. I think she has tried to edge her way closer at every chance. Nagini and Junior just can’t stand her so Daddy ignores her.

  10. 10KTurtle says:

Congratulations Tiffany, now you have all the knowledge you need to reject the rest of your family’s lives of corruption and do some good in the world!
BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAA I’m sorry, I couldn’t keep a straight face. Maybe for her sake she gained just enough knowledge to keep her own butt out of jail, because Daddy sure wouldn’t defend her.

  11. KellyRyan says:

Three siblings treat Tiffany with disdain. See the facial expressions at the inauguration. Dumpty’s sister is a retired judge, retiring after she was under investigation. It will be interesting to see if Tiffany becomes another mouthpiece for dysfunction.

  12. Eleonor says:

Her siblings tried to get rid of her in their father will, Trump avoids to be photographed with her because she is “fat”.She is the “disgraced daugher”, and even with aller priviledges she makes me sad.

    • reese says:

Lets not trash Tiffany for having Marla and Donald as parents. Donald will not fully acknowledge her existence as she is the byproduct of an affair/marriage he would rather forget.

      • Lory says:

I agree. While most of the people in the Trump family are reprehensible I don’t think it’s fair to expect people in that family to have to publicly prove to us that they are maybe ok people. If they do bad things then they are bad people but that judgment can’t be based on pure familial association. Trump is still her father and while we can easily cast him aside it isn’t quite as simple when you’re someone’s kid. People will still feel a need to be loved by a parent even when that parent has made it abundantly clear they don’t care for them. To me that’s sad in a way. I just hope she can make the right choices for herself by accepting that her dad is void of human emotion and she stops trying to win his approval.

    • minx says:

Yes, Ivanka is his ideal woman but only after she got a lot of plastic surgery and implants. Pre-surgery Ivanka had a bigger nose, rounder cheeks, weaker chin.

  13. Chickaletta says:

My brother had some classes with her and said that she is actually very nice. Hope she decides to practice as Tiffany Maples.

    • Iknow says:

I think she is probably a nice person and is working to stay in Donald’s good graces so he could pay for school and leave her a penny or two. It would be amazing if now that she has her degrees, she can be independent of him. Marry the billionaire and just lose that entire family. They hate her.

  14. DeeDee says:

It takes a lot of hard work to graduate from Georgetown law. Now, Now we should all HOPE Tiffany will introduce her father to the meaning of constitutional law.

  15. Alexis says:

He is SO embarrassed by her—he views her as fat and ugly and his treatment reflects that. He never even wants to be seen with her.

  16. Kay says:

… she looks like her dad

  17. Brailler says:

Actually he didn’t get around to acknowledging it until he was shamed into it much later

    • Valerie says:

is it possible to shame him into anything? You’re prob right, though. I just can’t believe he’d listen to anyone, lol.

    • Agirlandherdog says:

Yeah, he doesn’t know shame. But someone probably pointed out the poor optics of a story about his daughter graduating from law school, and he doesn’t acknowledge it.

  18. Lila says:

My stomach hurts from laughing. That narrators comment was PERFECT.

  19. Liz version 700 says:

That is the irony. He is ashamed of her, and of all his children, she And baron look the most like him. Her face is all Trump genes. The constant rejection from her father must be tough. I will say as someone who went to Georgetown ULC it was work to graduate. She has to have some baseline smarts to get into and out of law school. I hope she takes her degree and finds a path far from her messed up paternal relatives.

  20. BlueNailsBetty says:

I would laugh if Tiffany went to work at the ACLU.

  21. Eugh says:

“Just what i need is a lawyer” – definitely an innocent person

That moray eel faced son-in-law of his is also a lawyer

  22. 123qwerty says:

Good for her. No one should be defined by who they’re born to.

  23. Valerie says:

I might be wrong, but she strikes me as being the Meadow Soprano of her family.

    • sassafras says:

Poor Meadow. Rewatching the Sopranos currently and her face must hurt from pretending not to see the obvious around her. So yeah, you’re accurate. lol

  24. Kristen says:

Congratulations Tiffany! She’s the black sheep and she’s doing her own thang! 🙂

  25. sassafras says:

Honestly, if she’s a half way decent person, I could support her going back to California and being a family law attorney a la Laura Wasser/ that ilk. Expensive, messy, public divorces could probably use an attorney like her who has both the compassion and the personal experience to help navigate clients so that their children wouldn’t be caught in a quagmire.

    BUT.

Even Trumps have to pass the bar.

And before that, you have to pass your background check.

Can you imagine what her bar examiner investigation file looks like?

I bet she never takes the bar.

  26. holly hobby says:

He had a lawyer in the family. His sister was a lawyer and a very prominent district judge – Maryann Trump Berry. She left the judiciary when the big tax swindle article showed up. She left to avoid an ethical investigation. They are all crooks. I expect Tiffany to be serving Barr if she is smart enough to pass the bar.

    • adastraperaspera says:

Yeah, Marla kept her out in California and away from Trump as long as she could. I thought it was sad she went to DC, when the country has hundreds of other law schools. I don’t see her avoiding becoming a mob lawyer at this point, sadly.

  27. Amelie says:

Well congrats to her, whether she worked hard for it or not, at least she’s trying to do something productive. She would be taken more seriously if she went by her mother’s last name Maples. She has got to know the Trump last name is tainted. But if she did that, I really think her father would disown her and her siblings would probably reject her. You can tell her position in the family is very tenuous and from interviews it seems Ivanka is the one who has tried the hardest to bridge the gap between her and Donald. Say what you want about Ivanka but she does look out for her little sister.

  28. ClaireB says:

I would like to think she’s the only decent adult Trump, but then I have to wonder why she didn’t stay in CA, away from the hot mess and embarrassment of her father’s family, and instead chose to follow them to DC.

  29. Eda says:

I am happy for her. That’s a tough school (a friend also graduate from there a few years back), and you can’t slouch your way through. She is the forgotten child; I hope she uses her education in the best possible way. I love seeing people graduate; it’s a beautiful thing.

  30. Lisa says:

From what I have heard Tiffany is actually the brightest of the Trump children and did not need the extra tutoring and help that the other kids got for school.

  31. Freddo2501 says:

I kinda like her. Why is that?

  32. I can’t wait for him to be a civilian again. All those enablers gonna jump ship and he’s gonna be on the ropes. My schadenfreude will be ripe and ready.
