Carole Middleton does charity work but doesn’t tell anyone except People Mag

Carole Middleton attends day nine of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships

You know how this week’s People Magazine cover story – “Princess Kate Steps Up: The Pressure to be Perfect” – is just Kensington Palace’s second attempt at an ego-massage for Kate following the the epic Tatler debacle? It’s incredibly obvious – People Mag was given the same kinds of “Kate is so busy, especially now that Meghan is gone!” kinds of quotes. People just published what they were given by Kensington Palace though, which wasn’t the problem with Tatler! Tatler’s journalist went out and got quotes from the Norfolk rich bitches, all of whom gleefully took down the Keen Kween Kate. Not just Kate – her whole family, especially her mother and sister. This is why People Magazine gave Kensington Palace a mulligan on Carole Middleton too. How else can you explain this?

Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole Middleton, has proven herself a caring neighbor during the coronavirus pandemic. The famously hands-on grandmother to royal children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis secretly cared for a local resident stricken with COVID-19 near the family’s home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, around 50 miles west of London.

“Her neighbor was very ill with the virus, and she visited them with homemade soup every day,” a close source tells PEOPLE. “She just left it on their doorstep and nobody knew about it.”

The mom of three and grandmother of four (including Pippa’s son Arthur) “just did it because she felt it was the right thing to do,” adds the close source. The neighbor has since made a full recovery.

Speaking exclusively in this week’s PEOPLE cover story, the close source also says the portrayal of Kate’s mom as pushy in a recent edition of the U.K.’s Tatler magazine is “undeserved.”

“There is no way you would describe her as that,” the close source says of Carole, 65. “She’s an incredibly kind person.”

That kindness is reflected in future Queen Kate, 38, who is “relishing her role more than ever,” says the source. “And she will do it all to the best of her ability.”

[From People]

You know what shocks the hell out of me? How f–king obvious Kensington Palace is being. It’s like they can’t help themselves. The Tatler story really shook them. It really shook Kate and Carole to their core, the fact that no matter how many f–king Zoom calls or log seats or Top CEO preening, Kate and Carole will never be “accepted” by the Turnip Toffs. Also, this is friggin’ hysterical: Carole “just left it on their doorstep and nobody knew about it.” Weird because Carole ran to People Magazine to tell them. Weird because Carole actually posed for photos while she was doing such anonymous, self-sacrificing charitable service, photos which were posted to Party Pieces’ social media and dutifully circulated to media outlets like the Daily Mail and People Magazine. NOBODY KNEW ABOUT IT, don’t you understand?!? And they couldn’t help but mention Tatler too. Man, that piece really got under the Middletons’ thin skin.

LOL- now we know where CEO Kate gets her humanitarianism from. Yeah they are shook by that Tatler piece and are using KP for damage control. Its disgusting that the Mids get away with using Palace resources and staff for their own personal use, imagine the outrage if another Duchess’s family did that.

That entire family has never done anything without first thinking of what they can get out of it.

    • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Don’t forget that the taxpayer paid to have Mrs Bennett’s drive repaved.

      • Nic919 says:

I continually love the Mrs Bennett references because they are so accurate.

      • Babz says:

“Mrs. Bennett!!!” I will never see another photo of her and not think of that! Brilliant! 🤣🤣

  2. Bettyrose says:

Some people in my neighborhood are doing this. Every so often I get a note on my door asking if I need food or personal assistance…inviting me to write what I need and leave it out at a certain time. I almost cried the first time I got one. I don’t personally need food deliveries, but I wish I could hug the person/people doing it.

    • Molly says:

That is really sweet and kind and I like that they gave certain times to leave the notes so if you wanted, it could all be discrete. That was really lovely of your neighbors to reach out.

    • Lizzie says:

Tthat is very sweet and personal. It does my heart good to know there ar such kind people in our world.

  3. Molly says:

OMG! They actually repeated the “to the best of her ability” line.

This is all so openly desperate and controlling. What is wrong with them? Just wipe your tears with your millions and plan your next vacation. It’s not that serious.

Is it wrong that if someone anonymously left me open containers of food, I wouldn’t eat it?

    • MsDiMeanOur says:

“Best of her ability” makes her sound ill or handicapped… 🙄

    • Of course not! You’d have to be an idiot to eat unsolicited food left on your doorstep, packaged or not! How would you know how if it’d been tampered with/injected into….?

Sad to say, in this day and age, it’s not a far fetched thought.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

That whole family is triggered by Meghan and her work ethic – its pathetically obvious. I want Harry’s lawsuit to expose not just the Cambridges but the Middleton’s and how they’ve sold out the RF for years.

    • Marjorie says:

      Where is her mask?

How much did her dress and those terrible shoes cost? Probably 200 times the value of the food someone else packed in the box.

These people (royal family and their leeches) need to write checks and raise funds it they want to continue with the thirst parades. Sending that little girl out on her birthday with 25 cents worth of “homemade” pasta was stone cold bad compared to what they could do with their money and privilege.

      • Lady D says:

I really like the shoes she’s wearing in the top picture. I keep going back to check them out.

      • Tia says:

If she’s loading her car and nobody outside her ‘bubble’ is around, I can see why she doesn’t use a mask.

      • (TheOG) jan90067 says:

Didn’t Kate wear that same dress, in red (with long sleeves)? I think they must’ve gotten a “two-fer”. Doubt Carole can wear Kate’s Kast-offs anymore, since Kate is so much tinier than Carole now.

  4. Rae says:

Lol…that’s the only worthwhile response to this. Lol.

LOOK H&M WE CAN DO STEALTH PROJECTS TOO!

  6. Mrs Robinson says:

Who would eat food left anonymously on their doorstep?

  7. Basement_Dweller says:

When I got to the soup part I rolled my eyes so hard I disrupted one of my contacts. Jeeez, People likes to lay it on thick

  8. Priscila Bezerra-Fischer says:

Man, these Cambridges really cannot help their bullies selfs!

As I said before, it is getting crazy and I hope more people pick up on it. William and Kate continue to force a competition that does not exist. William has to win, even though he already won the Monarchy ticket by virtue of his first born status, but the ego and narcississm is so big that he will not settle until he is loved by all- and Kate is not behind.

Harry is living in the USA, minding his business, but even there William has to win. Even in USA William had to be more loved than Harry and Kate has to be more perfect than Meghan.

They buy bots to compete with Sussex Instagram and make sure Sussexes have to give up their handles….they use Sussexes leaving as an excuse to spend less time with their children, as they have been thrown under the bus and now their parents have to work long hours…now they want to take over the so far most neutral US publication that had been having some Sussexes tidbits by offering them full access and cooperation.

Honestely, someone has to stop these two fools from digging their own graves. Harry is fed up and I do believe it will take so much for him from going postal. That whole narrative that harry would only be safe bacl home, that only RF could take care of Harry, that he has to rely on his brother to cure him of his frailty now sound almost like threats…it would not suprise me if Harry on his one year review takes them all to the task behind the scenes.

    • Lise says:

I just picture Meghan and Harry out on a lovely bikeride on a sunny day and Will and Kate trapped in their palace snarling into the phone to People MAKE US LOOK RELEVANT NOW!

      • GuestWho says:

Funny you should bring up them riding bikes happily in the Cali sun. Sharon Stone gave an interview on Access Hollywood (i think) and talked about how great it was they weren’t just living in the community but contributing to it, and then she related that she was at a stop light and H&M rode their bikes across the street in front of her. Living their best lives. Let the haters continue to seethe.

  9. Becks1 says:

The title of this post just cracked me up.

And omg KP is being so obvious here. They are really trying to rewrite the Tatler piece. but the funny thing is that I don’t think a lot of the people who read People in the US also read Tatler? Like I wonder how big that overlap is?

This article really just ticks all the boxes. Carole is incredibly kind, Kate is the future queen, Carole is “hands on” as is Kate (I’m really starting to hate that phrase), etc.

This feels like a massive PR cleanup that just wasn’t necessary. Like, they just could have let the Tatler article go.

    • Nic919 says:

If the best Carole can do for volunteer work in her life is “anonymously” dropping off soup to a neighbour that’s pretty pathetic.

What a contrast to Doria knowing Father Boyle from Homeboys and yet not running to the press about it.

      • Becks1 says:

Ah, good catch Nic!! This article was done before this week but even so – remember when H&M were delivering food and it came out that Doria had told them about the organization (and I think was delivering food herself?) This is probably a direct response to that. Carole can deliver food too!!

Meanwhile Doria is hooking H&M up with all these charities and organizations and given her line of work, you know she’s pointing them to legitimate ones that do good work.

  10. Carole needs to lay off the cheek fillers. She’s gotten that overstuffed look that diminishes her eyes to slits.

Also, someone tell St. Carole of Buckleberry that taking soup to a sick neighbor isn’t “charity”. It’s being a good neighbor. Reminds me of them schlepping poor Charlotte out to deliver pasta on her birthday.

    • Becks1 says:

Also, if she was just doing it “because it was the right thing to do” then why is she telling People about it?

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Carole is in training for her future role as Dowager Queen Mother with her own rooms in Buckingham Palace. Trust me when I say that she will be making sure that she not only gets a title but that she and her other children are fully entrenched in the court of FF King Willileaks. Chuck needs to take the Middletons down if he is to secure the future of the BRF after him. I think he’s biding his time with W&K and the Middleton hangers on until he is King.

      • Seraphina says:

@Du, I agree that Carol will want all these things but is it wise for PC to wait? The more he waits, the more secure they are in their footing getting in and staying in. And what boggles my mind is that if the BRF is so exclusive about who is accepted, I’m surprised they haven’t put the Middletons in their place. I still think Pa Middleton has been very MIA for a reason.

      • Molly says:

With the Windsor longevity, morbid as this sounds, Carole probably won’t see William crowned. She’s only six years younger than Charles.

      • Becks1 says:

@Molly – that’s something that occurs to me too. Carole is so desperate for Kate to be queen, but there’s a very distinct possibility she wont see it happen.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

@molly and Becks – ITA that Carole wants to see Willileaks crowned as she will also see CEO Kate crowned as Queen Consort. Only if William is of a mind to allow that – IIRC Kate being coronated as Queen Consort in her own right is not automatic, she gets the title but no coronation ceremony. And we know how William feels about sharing the glory and attention with others.

      • Seraphina says:

The Middletons remind me of the Boleyns. And unfortunately Anne didn’t think through that is QK was disposed of she could have been as well. Which makes me think, what if PW decides to leave Kate when he is much older. Crazier things have happened. I would never have guess led that PC would be able to marry Camilla. But look where we are.

      • Becks1 says:

@Seraphina – lol, that’s a good comparison. I also am pretty sure that Anne Boleyn was the only one of Henry’s wives to have a coronation ceremony – like DU was saying, I don’t think its automatic. (Being queen is, but not the actual ceremony.)

      • Ainsley7 says:

Carol was actually on unsteady ground for awhile. Princess Charlotte’s christening marked a major turning point in her power. Will had an heir and a spare. Making Kate no longer absolutely necessary. They were thrilled with Charlotte being a girl because it’s better for them PR wise. There was some disappointment around the palace with George being a boy. Carol planned everything for the christening except the sermon. Charles arranged. It was all about how one should not get above their station and be happy with their lot in life. Strange message for a christening.Carol did stay away more after that. Charles is already letting them know where they will stand. She’s an idiot if she ever thought she was getting a title though. They’ve only give them to the Monarch’s kids for ages. Even Victoria was going to skip giving titles to her youngest sons before an advisor mentioned that they could get a seat in the House of Commons without one. If she’s still alive when Will’s King, she’s definitely getting Amner Hall though. So, she has that to look forward to.

      • February-Pisces says:

I think Carole knows she’s not going to live to see kate as queen, that’s why she’s desperate for it to happen sooner rather than later. If Charles lives to be the same ages as the DOE then they will have to wait another 30 years, by then she will be in her mid nineties. Not much time to enjoy the perks of your life’s work. That’s why she will do whatever it takes to get them there sooner rather than later. Charles better watch his back.

      • Original Jenns says:

Seraphina: Actually, the Boleyn/Howard family were incredibly connected and decently ranked in court, they get a bad rep with history. I think the Middletons are more similar to the Woodville family, Elizabeth W secretly married Edward IV. That family was quickly married into many titled families (who were generally outraged abt sullying their blue blood), given a lot of power and privilege, and were deeply resented for it.

And Anne had her own coronation, but Katherine of Aragon was crowned with Henry. After that, the finances and need just weren’t there. It’ll be interesting what Will does if he is crowned, or if Carole ends up banging on the doors like Queen Caroline (that’s mean, I’m sorry, but historical comparisons are fun)

      • Lady D says:

“There was some disappointment around the palace with George being a boy. ” I find it hard to believe that an institution as rigid, racist and sexist as the BRF, was disappointed that George was a boy.

      • notasugarhere says:

Lady D, if they’d had a girl first there’s no doubt they would have named her Diana outright and spent the past eight years harping about ‘future future future Queen Diana’. I’m sure W&K&Carole were all disappointed with a boy first.

    • Harper says:

Oh, so cheek fillers are what happened to Carole’s face. Her face has been morphing into something very odd lately, like a little squirrel’s. Nothing wrong with her old face so I hope she lays off next time.

  11. S808 says:

That Tatler piece truly shook them up. Oh, to be a fly on the wall as they read it. Watching them actively fight to insist the Tatler piece isn’t true is quite satisfying. So much for that stiff upper lip eh? You’d think after they got called out for the obvious over the top pr they’d calm it down a bit but no.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

The Middletons don’t know how to stop pushing – its why they always always over play their hand.

it also shows just how desperate they are about not just being accepted by the aristo’s but being seen to be just as Royal as Kate is. They see themselves as the next Royal dynasty. Look how that worked out for the Howards.

      • Lise says:

And the Boleyns. You have to be careful when you start playing with a centuries-old dynasty like this. Will is going to be king by virtue of birth but Kate’s next job title isn’t as certain.

      • Nic919 says:

Diana was massively popular and looked what happened to her. Kate doesn’t have a fraction of the public goodwill Diana had so if Will wants to turf her, he will do so with ease. And Carole Middleton has set herself up as the villain already.

  12. Ginger says:

KP trying to rewrite history. Tatler exposed Carol as a snob and now we are getting KP approved stories of how kind Carol is for leaving soup. It’s so obvious. I have heard PLENTY of stories of how awful Carol is. I don’t buy this at all.

  13. Geraldine Granger says:

I really think that the William and Charles are getting close stories are bad news for Carole. Her power comes from William. In the past, he has chosen the Mids over Windsors. If he switches sides, so to say, that is threat to the Middleton position, so it is against the interests of Carole and family for this new narrative. Especially if it is based in reality. If William and Charles are indeed mending fences, I would expect to see more of these articles.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I agree, esp as its common knowledge Chuck does NOT like Carole and the influence she has over the Cambridge’s themselves and their household.

      • February-Pisces says:

I don’t understand how Charles has let them run rampant all these years without putting them in their place. Seriously why is Charles such a p*ssy? What do they have over him?

  14. Emily says:

Nobody knew about it, but it’s in People Magazine.

If I got anonymous soup everyday, I’d be worried.

  15. Nic919 says:

Carole is irrelevant and it’s pathetic for a royal adjacent to get coverage in a US magazine. It’s bad enough the UK tabloids even bother with her.

Considering she is 65 and the best she can do is “anonymous” soup a few times just shows how she’s lived an utterly materialistic and selfish existence. She raised all her kids to pursue vain and materialistic goals trying to get into a social class known to be basically useless. Her kids don’t have any skills to speak of and they themselves have been generally useless people as well. She and Mike have failed as parents because all her children are leeches and contribute nothing of value to society. They only take and in Kate’s case she directly takes from taxpayers to continue her indolent and wasteful lifestyle. Nothing about Carole should be celebrated. She should be shamed for pimping out her daughters and emphasizing greed and selfish values as things to pursue.

  16. Harla says:

I received this weeks issue of People magazine and promptly threw it in the trash 🙂

  17. Lisa says:

Obvious cleanup job by KP. Very amusing.

  18. Golly Gee says:

Speaking exclusively in this week’s PEOPLE cover story, the close source also says the portrayal of Kate’s mom as pushy in a recent edition of the U.K.’s Tatler magazine is “undeserved.”

“There is no way you would describe her as that,” the close source says of Carole, 65. “She’s an incredibly kind person.”

It’s possible to be both kind and pushy. Don’t know if she’s kind, but there’s evidence that she’s pushy.

Did she actually make the homemade soup, or does she have a cook?

    • Nic919 says:

It’s hard to be considered kind when you do interviews slagging your daughter’s sister in law for her work ethic.

      • notasugarhere says:

This is the same family who had no friends, so invited strangers who run local businesses to fill their part of the church. And after 2 decades in the public eye, have no history of charitable work.

  19. Beech says:

A neighbor who probably lives in an estate such as the one owned by the Middletons? Who can afford staff? I presume.

  20. LittlePenguin says:

Why did she have to take the soup over daily? Was it different soup everyday? Because when I make homemade soup I make a huge batch that can last a week or I freeze it in portions for later. I am so confused now about how to deliver soup.

    • LittlePenguin says:

Oh, and was there cheese toast also included in the delivery? (It wouldn’t let me edit: apologies)

  21. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

I’ve been comparing Carole M. to Mrs Bennett, but it occurs to me that she and her offspring are like the Woodvilles – deeply unliked at court, extravagant spenders, endlessly hanging on and directing all attention to themselves.
It didn’t end well for the Woodvilles and it won’t end well for the FFQM.

    • Original Jenns says:

That’s exactly what I’ve said before! And today haha Historic minds think alike!

They even tried marrying family into titles, but unfortunately for them, Will couldn’t force people like Edward could.

  22. LRobb says:

I don’t get it about this woman and family. Why are they so thirsty? Whatever though. Not interesting at all.

    • FicklePickle says:

I think Carol Middleton is what happens when Scarlett “As God as my witness I will never go hungry again!” O’Hara starts out lower on the socioeconomic ladder and manages to have children that survive to adulthood.

Minus the self-awareness to realize that she’s doing it for the sake of permanent financial security and stability, plus delusions about worthiness and grandeur.

      • Lady D says:

Scarlett’s second daughter lives doesn’t she, one she nicknamed Kitty? I remember Scarlett running around her home in Ireland while it was on fire, calling here kitty, kitty.

  23. Amelie says:

Why is there a cop next to her in that picture? Does Carole get special protection for being the mother-in-law of an heir to the throne? Or are these pictures from some other non coronavirus related outing?

  24. Vanessa says:

It’s Funny how all the years the Middleton’s been on the royal scenes you never heard them doing any sort of charity it’s never been brought up . We see them vacationing on islands we heard about their huge manor that William got them but not once in the nine years have we ever heard carol Middleton’s doing any charity work for others if she had done anything like this before those royal reporters would have reported a long time ago. It’s like the Cambridge’s all suddenly are desperately trying to push Carol and mike Middleton’s into the public first the mother day picture and then the father day picture now we hearing how really charitable the Middleton’s really are . I’m not buying what the Cambridge’s are trying to do their trying desperately to not only have controlled over the British tabloids but their also trying to move In to the American market . That’s why we are having all this Pr people stuff the Cambridge’s don’t want the Sussex’s to shine anywhere they wanted them gone completely for the public eye.

  25. Beach Dreams says:

Well Tatler will certainly be getting a few more searches and clicks from this. It’s been a month and the Cambridge/Middleton camp are still obsessing over that article. The more you talk about how that article is supposedly untrue and undeserved, the more people will be interested in seeking it out.

  26. Melissa says:

Why do the Cambridges care what Americans think? Do British folks read People? It’s very US-celeb centric so I don’t get it. If anything it just highlights to us how shit they are.

  27. TheOriginalMia says:

That Tatler piece really shook them. They are social climbers. The Middleton children barely work. Meghan comes into the family & she’s everything they’ve touted Kate to be. It isn’t so much as the lie is exposed. Everybody knew the truth. It’s that Kate & Carole can’t take being shown up by the biracial, American divorcee. Not only shown up, but shown lacking. It’s not that Kate can’t do better. She’s fine in her mediocrity and being lauded for it. Here’s Meghan being effortless and earnest and black and the Midds/Cambridges can’t take it.

Also, who took the pictures of Carole’s secret charity run?

  28. ohrhilly says:

I can’t. I really can’t. Everything Carole does is in order to garner free press or further her ambition. I am not a fan of people doing good, only to post it everywhere for kudos. Her desperation for acceptance is over the top. I’m sure she worked hard on making soup and handing over her cheap PP toys to her neighbor.

  29. Anne Marie says:

This whole thing proves how much concerned they are about what the American public thinks about them. The tatler piece exposed their true identity and they’ve been on damage control ever since.
I agree with you Kaiser this is so pathetically obvious. Its like they’re adviced by toddlers. And that story about her neighbour makes it pretty clear. The neighbours better be ready as theyll be on another storyline in Kate’s embiggening campaign

  30. L4frimaire says:

Why do people even care what Kate’s mom doe?. I have no idea what Melania’s parents do or what Michelle Obama’s mom does, or even what Meghan’s mom does, because they are private citizens and it’s none of our business. This woman is so thirsty. No one is here for her.

  31. Nic919 says:

I wonder if she gave free soup to the neighbour that owns the pot farm? Enquiring minds want to know.

  32. aquarius64 says:

  33. Florence says:

She creeps me out and I can’t explain why. Those eyes are a bit… dead.

    • Roo says:

I agree, @Florence. I think that she’s trying to convince us she’s sweet and unassuming and yet we all know she’s manipulative and has raised her children to be shallow, useless creatures.

  34. kelleybelle says:

    They are so weird
