I’m still sorting through the information coming out of the document dump last night. The documents are the newly unsealed records from the 2015-16 Virginia Giuffre-Ghislaine Maxwell defamation case, a case which was settled out of court, with Maxwell paying Virginia an undisclosed sum. After Virginia made the deal, she spent the next four years trying to get the information from the lawsuit unsealed. She’s been successful, and the result is that the transcript of her deposition (she was deposed by Ghislaine’s lawyers) is now out, which we already partially discussed. Also included in the document dump? Emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. And this: proof that Prince Andrew lobbied the American government for Epstein’s “sweetheart deal.”
Prince Andrew lobbied the US government to help get a sweetheart plea-deal for pedophile friend Jeffrey Epstein that saw him jailed for just 18 months in 2008, newly unsealed court documents claim. The allegation is contained within a motion by lawyers for two anonymous Epstein accusers who were trying to get hold of documents which they claim showed Andrew’s lobbying efforts.
The motion forms part of a 2015 libel case against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s alleged madam, which have been kept under lock and key until today – when they were released following her arrest on sex trafficking charges. Lawyers for the pair, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, wrote: ‘(They are) seeking documents regarding Epstein’s lobbying efforts to persuade the government to give him a favorable plea arrangement, including efforts on his behalf by Prince Andrew and former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. They have alleged these materials are needed to prove their allegations that, after Epstein signed the non-prosecution agreement his performance was delayed while he used his significant social and political connections to lobby the justice department to obtain a more favorable plea deal.’
The newly-released documents also contain a transcript of a deposition given by Epstein’s main accuser, Virginia Roberts, where she also speaks about the prince’s involvement in Epstein’s activities. Asked by her own lawyers in 2016 whether Andrew would have ‘relevant information’ in the case, she answered: ‘Yes, he would know a lot of the truth. I don’t know how much he’d be able to help you with, but seeing as he’s in a lot of trouble himself these days I think he might, so I think he might be valuable.’
Roberts separately claims she had sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions, including once in a Caribbean jurisdiction where she was underage, after being trafficked by Epstein and Maxwell.
Not to defend Prince Andrew – ew – but just because Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 allege that Andrew lobbied on behalf of Epstein to American authorities, doesn’t mean that he actually did it. Or that there’s proof of it. It’s just what Epstein’s victims believe, that there is proof somewhere in the federal case files that Andrew made some calls or wrote some letters. But this would have been 2008-09 – while Andrew was always an unmitigated disaster, surely he would not have left his fingerprints on any lobbying effort for his pedophile BFF? What am I saying… Andrew is absolutely that stupid. There probably are letters and records of Andrew standing up for Epstein. All the more reason for the FBI to question him now.

Well, like you said Kaiser, at this point there’s no proof, but Andrew is absolutely that entitled, privileged and stupid to do something like that, so he probably did.
Becks1, there’s no proof that we know of ….YET. There are a LOT of doc dumps to come. I can only hope Maxwell has multiple copies in multiple places, so if she’s “Epsteined”, her reps are authorized to release them.
Sadly, I’ve watched too many movies not to feel that this “cabal” of powerful pedos would not get to these docs/vids/etc and not destroy them first.
Andrew is *absolutely* dumb enough to have done this & left his fingerprints on it.
1. He visited Epstein’s rape mansion in Manhattan after Epstein’s conviction & was photographed with him.
2. He set up that BBC interview thinking it would clear his name (lol).
3. He thought the interview went great until the fallout was so bad that his mummy had to cancel her own favorite child.
People who are much less dense than Andrew intervened on Epstein’s behalf. Of course Andrew did. And I’m sure he thought it was the “honorable” thing to do.
I didnt even know Prince Andrew existed before Epstein didnt kill himself. I’m surprised he would have any international pull for evil schemery… But maybe he was super famous and I had just had a mental block over his snoozy face.
The papers actually indicate that the Monarch herself i.e. Lilibet was the one to apply pressure for the sweetheart deal and grant immunity for co-conspirators.
Why would the Queen want to protect the likes of Epstein and his co-conspirators ?

Andrew is literally hiding behind his ex wife and daughters in that picture. Too bad he’s fresh out of royal spite weddings to stage. I wonder if he would finally consider cooperating for some kind of deal now that it’s all coming out into the open.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. I listened to Zev Shalev’s broadcast, part of it last evening, and the blackmail involved is monumental. Use of satellites and/or tapes to record sexual encounters. It’s my understanding Epstein had volumes of records, written, on computers. The FBI seized evidence in both Manhattan and the BVI. I have no doubt he was wire tapped. As to Andy, his history of financial wheeling and dealing has been known for years. Why wouldn’t he do what he could to cover-up. My question is, How much did Queenie know?
Incredible. If there’s actual proof I hope it’s revealed. And the BM would have us believe the biracial American actress was the real threat to the monarchy.
But Meghan is the threat. Preceisely because she refused to live according to the seedy arrangements of the BRF, Aristo set, BM and current Tory govt whom are all literally in bed with each other and willing to keep each others secrets.
That’s how powerful people maintain status quo and power and someone like Meghan with her ideals and want to work/ do good ethics is a threat to all of that.

I agree with you as well, there’s no proof of this. But I think he did, or at least he tried to leverage his clout (or his mummy’s clout as monarch), to put in a good word for Jeffrey Epstein. Not because Andrew thought he himself had done anything wrong, but rather because he wanted to protect Epstein, as he considered him a friend.
Andrew, by his own admission, is “very loyal” to his friends. The article I read that talked about it described it as an endearing character failure, in that his unfailing loyalty is what gets him into trouble with unscrupulous people. I agree with that, but I don’t think it’s endearing. I think that people in power protect other people in power, thereby willfully blinding themselves to their appalling behaviour. And this type of appalling behaviour, this trading of women as if they were commodities, is sadly really common in the sorts of circles that Andrew hangs around in. It’s not an anomaly. If Andrew is swinging for Epstein’s defence, it’s because he genuinely doesn’t think that anything that Epstein did was wrong at all. And that is what should be most alarming to the rest of us who don’t have even a fraction of the privilege or money that these people have had.
