Prince Harry’s LA Remembrance photos could ‘harm’ his future role in the monarchy

I guess we’re still talking about the fact that Buckingham Palace denied a war veteran the right to have a wreath laid on the Cenotaph. I guess we’re still talking about how, after the petty fools decided to punish Prince Harry yet again, Harry then found a way to publicly show his respect and his remembrance of the fallen by organizing some photos at LA National Cemetery. It is still the most bizarre reaction from the royal commentariat class, this idea that Harry is so, so wrong for doing the photos in LA after he had been denied by the palace. But here we are. Even Katie Nicholl is still saying words about this stuff:

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are growing further apart from the royal family because they ‘do things their own way whatever the cost, while the Firm refuses to bend the rules’, a royal expert has claimed. Katie Nicholl noted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to publicise a visit to Los Angeles National Cemetery on Remembrance Sunday with the help of celebrity photographer Lee Morgan after Prince Harry’s request for a wreath to be laid at the Cenotaph was snubbed.

She told OK! magazine that the display will have only further frayed his strained relationship with the Firm, adding: ‘It highlights the great divide between Harry and the royal family. There is such a gaping cavern now and exercises like this only serve to widen that gap rather than heal the rift. Harry and Meghan do things very differently to the royal family and to me it shows how determined they are to do things their own way whatever the cost.’

The royal expert said the couple’s decision to ‘personally recognise’ Remembrance Sunday and behaviour similar to this could harm their future roles in the monarchy.

Katie suggested it would’ve been painful for Prince Harry, 36, to have been ‘left out’ of this year’s Remembrance commemoration in London – despite asking for a wreath to be laid on his behalf. The duke, who spent 10 years serving the military, is thought to have been ‘deeply saddened’ after palace aides refused to grant his request, according to The Times. But Katie insisted that the royal family are not prepared to bend the rules.

[From The Daily Mail]

“Exercises like this only serve to widen that gap rather than heal the rift…” Just think about that for a second. Harry and Meghan were widely abused and smeared for more than a year, largely at the behest of Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Kensington Palace, all of whom were freaking out at the attention and adulation H&M were getting. So they effectively bullied H&M out of the country, punished Harry by taking away his military honors, refused to let Harry – a veteran – have a wreath laid in his name, and they still expect HARRY to be the one to “heal the rift.” I actually don’t doubt that the Windsors feel this way, and I think Nicholl is probably referencing what people in Kensington Palace have said to her. The Windsors’ official position is that they have every right to be as petty and nasty as they want because of “protocol” and “the rules” (which, as we’ve seen, are completely arbitrary and often only applied to Harry and Meghan). All the while, the Windsors expect Harry and Meghan to do the emotional heavy lifting of “healing the rift.” Is everyone in the royal family this f–king insane?

Seriously these clowns are on fire today. Widen the gap? Helloo! The gap is as wide as the grand canyon. Give it up. THEY ARE NOT COMING BACK. Kindly focus on Andrew whose new shenanigans involving a bank and dodgy investors has been uncovered.

    • Chica1971 says:

This is Donald Trump level exhaustion with this woman.Move along, already. THEY LEFT!!

      • Nana says:

That’s not accidental, the venn diagramme of rr/anti M & H’ers with Magaidiots/covidiots appears almost to be a single circle.

    • Absolutely agree. This whole viewpoint of Harry needing to fix it is hysterical. Hello the Firm and the Royal 🐀 Rota ——- Harry and Meghan have left the building! What a bunch of 🤡’s.

On another note, Harry was great last night on Stand Up for Heroes 2020. He spoke very eloquently about service and the Invictus Games. (I donated in his honor and then went over to Invictus and donated there as well.). You can view it on YouTube. I’m sure we will be hearing about what a betrayal his appearance was to the ideals and protocols of the Firm in the next day or so. Just more 🐂💩 from the Royal 🐀 Rota.

    • Lady2Lazy says:

@ Elizabeth Regina, 🏃 🎤 later losers….I am taking my wife and child. They are the most precious people in my life right now, suckers….

  2. GuestWho says:

The future role he walked away from? Yeah. He’s not coming back. Do they really think he WANTS to come back? He didn’t want the one year review. He’s done.

If the RF ever want to have a personal relationship (because that professional relationship is dust) with their son/brother/grandson, they should probably stop deliberately hurting him. The pettiness is off the charts.

    • LaraK says:

They all still can’t believe someone would willingly give up being royal. The class system is so bred into them, they just can’t grasp the concept of being free and determining your own destiny. It’s messed up.

  3. VS says:

What role? the guy is GONE………..he is not coming back; he might visit but he is not coming back as a working royal!
they bought a house and have a netflix deal; they can live wherever they want but they are not coming back…….are these people that dumb!!!!
Charles would have to make massive changes for them to even consider a partial role; the press is more racist than ever; why would Harry subject his mixed race kids to that?

    • Sofia says:

Exactly. What role? Because every week we get told that by doing *insert whatever the Sussexes did* this is upsetting the Queen and that there’s no way back. So I don’t understand why we keep getting told this time and time again. The Cambridges don’t want the Sussexes back and the Sussexes don’t want to go back

    • Myra says:

It’s denial, isn’t it? They can’t believe that Harry is risking his (100th) chances for return to royal life. It’s like the ex that doesn’t understand that break up means break up.

    • Hell they wouldn’t even allow an already made wreath to be placed. What role do any of them think The Firm still thinks he has in their carnival?

  4. Lala11_7 says:

Everyday I am more and more IMPRESSED on how Prince Harry laid the groundwork to get the HELL OUTTA DODGE…at the PERFECT time…

    Doing what his Mama couldn’t!

    • Dee Kay says:

Ditto this. Diana would have *loved* to escape the BRF’s clutches in the last years of her life. I remember there was speculation she might move to NY and whether or not she was actually making plans, I thinks he would have loved that life. Harry is enjoying the escape his mother never got to make, good for him.

      • Poisonella says:

Diana would still be alive if they did not deny her government security which she should have had.

  5. Shoo fly says:

Tom Sykes relentlessly criticized Meghan and Harry and has been gleeful in his coverage of them as celebrities, but even he in his last column pointed out that the family and William are also going to get a reputation from this behavior and that it is NOT just on M/H.

    • I thought Skyes was the one who spoke to Meghan and then Harry on film during the trip to Africa. He indicated at that time he had always thought very highly of Harry as he had traveled with Harry when Harry was there for Sentabale visits, etc. I thought they spoke to him on camera because they both thought highly of him and felt he would be fair. So, he’s now changed his tune?

      • GuestWho says:

That was Tom Bradbury (sp?). He’s an actual journalist, and he’s been friends with will and harry for a long time.

      • Becks1 says:

That was Tom Bradby. Sykes writes for the Daily Beast and he’s the one who wrote a kind of odd article a few months ago about his impeccable sources and aristocratic connections.

      • Nic919 says:

Sykes is the one who said it was a daughter of an Earl who told him about William cheating with Rose and that everyone knew.

      • Thanks to all of you for clarification. I thought I must have been having a brain fart of some kind as it seemed like such a radical change if Skyes was the reporter I was thinking he was. Glad to hear it was Bradby. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😘

  6. Case says:

LOL they’re really in denial that he’s not leaving his wife and kid to come back, eh?

  7. Sandy says:

Wow yes, how dare he pay respect to anything without PERMISSION. IT’S UNACCEPTABLE. OFF WITH HIS HEAD.

  8. Digital Unicorn says:

Hmm what about all the times Cain and Unable used their preferred pap (Chris from Getty – the one who is married to Top CEO’s rubbish stylist) to cover events for them. That ok then?

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Is he the one who took that amazing remembrance day photo of Meghan? Wowsers. Things you find out on this blog.

      • Lady D says:

She looked stunning in that picture. It also apparently made its way around the world with one caption saying look at the beauty Harry snagged.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

If its the one in the rain you are talking about, no – it was another Getty photographer. Don’t have his name to hand.

      • Becks1 says:

I know the picture you are talking about, the black and white one. And yes, that was chris Jackson.

      • Shoesnotblues says:

If you’re referring to the fab one in the rain in which Harry and Meghan look at each other and the rain explodes like stars around them, then the photographer is Sam Hussein.

      • Lady D says:

I meant the stunning black and white photo, which was one of a kind, similar to the spectacular shining rain drops photo.

  9. Becks1 says:

Yes, the royal family really is that insane. They think they are always the most important people in the room and they DO just make up rules and protocol to suit themselves. They follow the dictates of a 94 year old woman and now her 72 year old son. They are pissed that Harry and Meghan are becoming more important than they are and they cant do anything to stop it.

The refusal to lay a wreath for Harry was so petty and I think it turned a lot of people off.

    • Teresa says:

Harry will remain important. By all accounts he seems to be the only royal in a loving marriage, the only royal who has had a proper job, the only royal who truly wants to help and focus on others instead of his appearance, and the only one who doesn’t give a flip about his title. I hope he reconciles with his family if the separation causes him stress, but I think this would have to be the healthiest thing in his life to be away from such toxic self aggrandizing people.

    • Marjorie K. Margel says:

      Yes! So agree!
Imagine if the “Powers that be”had said YES.
Harry would have “come home”, even if only for a day or so, The stupid British, really worldwide media would have covered it massively, the Harry fans would have been happy, and there would have been hope for the future of the BRF.
But, “they” Had to say No.
It didn’t accomplish much on either end, except make The Royals look terrible AGAIN.
It isn’t TQ making these decisions, is it Charles? Is it unnamed courtiers?
“They” blew it, whoever they were. AGAIN.

    • Monica says:

There was a time when royals were the only people who lived well. That time is loooooooong past, and people have other options now. Someone should clue in the BRF.

  10. GuestWho says:

I hope when the one-year review comes around, Harry just sends them a binder of newspaper articles based on crap that has been leaked from various palaces since they left.

  11. Snuffles says:

No, Harry is never coming back to The Firm. And because The Firm is they way that it is, the members of the family that officially work for The Firm will forever have a strained relationship with Harry.

But, I think Harry still gets along quite well with all other family members that aren’t a part of The Firm and have their own lives. It’s the business that Harry has a problem with.

  12. LaraW” says:

For those more knowledgeable, please correct me if I’m wrong- I thought in past years the royal family wore one poppy to Remembrance Sunday. This year, their pins seemed like aspiring bouquets. Is there a reason for this change? When I first saw it, it seemed like they were trying to send a signal about how Seriously they Commemorate the Sacrifices of veterans, while doing all the other bs behind the curtains.

    • MsIam says:

I think it’s based on the number of veterans in the family that served or died? That is why Kate wears more poppies.

      • Nic919 says:

It’s quite a reach though. There are a lot of British people who could wear bunches of poppies compared to Kate when you go to the level of great grandparents and great uncles. This is more propaganda along with the tassels to pretend that Kate cares about veterans, when she’s done nothing to help them outside of wear a new faux military outfit paid for by taxpayers.

      • Becks1 says:

I was reading an article about it this year (around Remembrance Sunday) and the thinking seemed to be that the queen often wears one for each branch of the armed services, and its assumed Kate wears 3 for family members who served, but its not a standard thing.

  13. Le4Frimaire says:

It’s truly amazing the way the Royal family is going guns blazing against this couple in order to undermine and destroy them. It really seems very Soviet-like. They are just two individuals who were in a blatantly hostile environment. They are not fighting with the royal family but the royal family is obviously waging war on them. After the whole wreath debacle, they really are making quite the assumption that Harry wants anything to do with them. They have no idea what they are doing over here or what type of support they have.

  14. Va Va Kaboom says:

What is up with Harry expecting he and his family be treated with respect, almost like actual human beings? If he keeps this up he’ll never be reintegrated into the role he moved halfway across the world to escape. You’d think he’d understand that by now… then again the courtiers and RR never missed a chance to let everyone know Harry was the slow one, amiright?

  15. Gail says:

Yes,yes the entire palace of royal leeches are f—Ing insane . They denied him the one who actually served in the army the ability to lay a wreath . So if anyone should be saying sorry we messed up , it’s definitely not Harry the real veteran.

  16. equality says:

She isn’t doing the royals any favors by claiming this. It makes them seem Trump-style insane. And, like Trump, they seem to spread the insanity and misinformation to their followers. If you don’t totally agree with and follow their dictates, you’re out of the family? They don’t care if they “saddened” him but he shouldn’t hurt their feelings? There is no place to be a family member but live your own life and do things your own way? Aren’t his cousins free to do things their own way or does the Palace approve any of their endorsements and activities? They endorse activities by other UK veterans and citizens on their SM but totally snub any good ventures of Harry’s even when it involves patronages the Queen has given them. They make no sense to me as a family or a firm.

    • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Equality You’re absolutely right. This disinformation campaign seems like the worst form of Trumpian gaslighting. It’s deeply unhealthy, both emotionally and psychologically, and reveals far more about them than it does about the one who got away.

  17. salmonpuff says:

God, this is so triggering for me…my husband and I get crap like this all the time from my narcissistic parents. They rewrite history so we’re the villains then expect us to make grand gestures to win them back. Ugh.

Watching H&M hold their heads up and tend to their own garden is super calming, though, so I keep clicking on these stories! :).

  18. booboocita says:

I sometimes wonder if that one-year review will ever happen. I can easily see Harry refusing to participate, and Petty Betty, Chuckie and the grey goblins reacting by saying something like, “Okay, this year isn’t convenient, what with the pandemic and all, so we’re extending our deadline to next year.” Which would give them another year to gaslight and abuse H&M, and possibly figure out a way to pry Harry from Meghan and Archie — or at least diminish their popularity.

Neither of which is going to happen. Another wasted, useless year on the part of the RF. Suck it, bozos.

    • Chrissy (The Original) says:

He should refuse to participate as this would only allow his so-called family to gang up on him and insult him to his face. He needs to make it clear that there’s no turning back. The Sussexes can’t just unsee what went down and forgive his lying, complicit family for all the hurt they’ve caused. What they all did to smear or refused to defend was unforgivable.

    • HeatherC says:

Whether the year “review” happens on time or not, I don’t see them stopping their campaign to pry Harry from Meghan and Archie ever. In their minds, Meghan must be punished for daring to duchess while black and putting “ideas” in Harry’s head.

  19. MsIam says:

I think it should be pretty clear to everyone that Harry dgaf about the rest of the family and their pettiness. He’s involved with helping veterans with Invictus and other events and it looks like he’s content with that. The family doesn’t care about him , only about it’s survival as an entity and that’s that. He’s better off leaving them alone.

  20. Abena Asantewaa says:

The Windsors have crossed many lines in their cruelty to H&M, but for me the deliberate snub of Harry’s remembrance day wreath, and leaking it to Sunday Times, just to mock and humiliate him, finally did it for me. These people are indeed disloyal to their own kind. They seem to think, reconciliation is one way street. H&M mustered courage to disentangle themselves ftom this toxic family, the storm is over now, they have settled, working and earning good money, Americans embracing them, Harry now part of the Vet community, is happy, like the other non working royals, they are not looking back to this ungrateful cold family.

    • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

@Abena Asantewaa They have crossed the line – but not only with Harry, with the tabloids and the public. The pettiness and cruel nastiness surrounding the wreath-laying imbroglio was excoriated by the Sun, and even Daily Heil readers were like – ‘wtaf? So Prince Michael with all his shady Russian deals can lay a wreath, they’ve got a child molester in the form of Andrew, whose even shadier deals are being exposed by the Press, but they can’t lay a war vet’s wreath because ‘protocol’?’ This ridiculous article is trying to undo the damage that PWT did – his grubby rose-trimming fingers are all over this piece of spitefulness – and it’s a colossal fail.

  21. Eleonora says:

    I doubt he cares.

One thing I realized from the Balmoral Test in the Crown, is that they seem like cliquish high schoolers.

-we are the ones to judge you
-you will only get approval if we deem you fit enough
-follow our bizarre self-made up rules or else

What do such high school cliques hate? People who don’t care.

Also, high schoolers usually grow out of it.

  22. Boxy Lady says:

Honestly, if a picture of you paying tribute to a fallen soldier strains a relationship, odds are that the relationship isn’t worth saving in the first place.

  23. S808 says:

What role? He gave up his working role in the family so unless they’re snatching his titles what is there that could be harmed? They already hate his wife and caused irrecoverable damage to her life, smeared him half to death and are laying the groundwork to replace him in regards to military charity work. What is there? Say he can’t come back? HE left THEM. HE didn’t want a 1 year review. He left the continent to get away from them. What else is left?

  24. Cee says:

Just like Elsa once said, “let it go”
They’ve left, they’re not coming back and the palace and BM should get over themselves. They caused this so they should get used to it.

  25. RedWeatherTiger says:

Anyone who cannot see that Harry, who served in THE MILITARY, wanted to pay his respects to THE MILITARY on Remembrance Day and did so in the only way he could in order to show members of THE MILITARY that he honored and respected their service and sacrifice is a TOTAL fool.

How can the RF not see how crazy, stupid, mean, and petty they look/are? And yes, it is laughable to think that Harry’s behavior might impact a future role he has already drop-kicked! DELUSIONAL.

  26. Ennie says:

    Edit.

  27. Ennie says:

The RR (and the hater trolls) were denied the chance to say that Harry is selfish and doesn’t care about vets. If he’d been by himself, he wouldn’t have been so attacked, but then they would be criticizing Meghanbecause selfishness and doesn’t care about vets.
They cannot win with these clowns. So they might as well do as they please. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  28. Its just me says:

The UK has become a silly country. The face of the UK male in the eyes of the world is Piers Morgan, a whiny bore. Here’s to Harry paying his respects any time he wants in the USA to piss off England.

  29. TheOriginalMia says:

Pretty sure Harry doesn’t want a future role in the monarchy for himself, his child(ren) or wife. Every leak and action by William, further cements Harry’s resolve not to accommodate the BRF in any way.

  30. Its just me says:

Everyday Meghan and Harry have to apologize to the UK as per the UK media. We laugh at this country.

  31. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

HE HAS NO ROLE IN THE ROYAL FAMILY. HE WANTS NO PART OF THE ROYAL FAMILY. UNDERSTAND THIS.

(Sorry for the caps lock, but I’m so frustrated that none of them Gets This.)

    • BnLurkN4eva says:

It’s that time you broke up with the immature person and they say, “yeah, I broke up with YOU! Harry and Meghan left and that crushed them because, Harry and Meghan were supposed to be kicked out and/or exiled, not leave of their own accord.

  32. Oh says:

I wonder what will Harry do for Remembrance day next year🤔?

    • HeatherC says:

You want their heads to explode? He should do something to recognize American Memorial Day in May.

  33. Amy Bee says:

The British press and Royal Family still believe Harry and Meghan will want to rejoin the firm at the end of the one year review. They are very delusional and I can’t wait for the shock and outrage when it’s announced that they will not be returning.

  34. GuestWho says:

If I were H&M, I would tell them to take the titles before the one year review so that, if the RF were that spiteful to try it, it wouldn’t look like a win for the RF. Granted…I don’t make the best life choices. But what else does the RF have at this point to hold over him?

  35. Mignionette says:

So apparently today is the anniversary of Prince Andrew’s famous recounting of his inability to sweat.

Explains the fresh set of articles out today.

I actually believe the BRF decided to exploit H&M regardless of whether they’re still working Royals. How else would they retain relevance without themselves getting dirty and muddied by press intrusion.

Throwing Meghan under the bus daily actually achieves the purpose of keeping them in the headlines whilst torturing the Sussexes.

They never learn. Same Diana play book.

  36. downtherabbithole says:

Will is just jealous of how effortlessly Harry is likeable and doesn’t need affirmation from everyone around him to function. Harry just does it better – earned and genuine respect from his military friends, a wife that he doesn’t feel threatened by and celebrates, the way every day people are drawn to him (just like they were Diana), how poised he is when he speaks, and his general gingery goodness…he will never stop trying to make Harry feel small because HE feels small.

  37. Sunny in CDA says:

As a Canadian, I loved that they found Commonwealth soldiers to pay tribute to even in America! For Brits and Canadians, it is a solemn day to remember and the fact they continue to honour it is to be applauded. I say we start a petition to have Harry and Meghan come to Ottawa every year for Remebrance Day and lay as many wreaths as he would like.

    • Carrie says:

      That would be brilliant!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    • HeyJude says:

Right? And how would any of the Commonwealth troops know they took the time to go out to a cemetery and pay respects by laying a wreath in person if not photographed and released?

Those weren’t publicity photos they were for the troops back home to know Harry was saluting them.

  38. Jay says:

Harm what future role in the monarchy, exactly? This ship has sailed, the royal family has already made it very clear that Harry and Meghan are no longer full-time members. What BS.

  39. Monica says:

The BRF sound like every narcissistic parent in the world.

  40. Likeyoucare says:

This is the RF trying to burry diana’s story. Throw shits at meghan and harry till the story dies.

  41. starryfish29 says:

What exactly is the point of an institution whose existence is threatened by absolutely everything that anyone does?

  42. Busy Bee says:

I would love for Harry and Megan to renounce their titles in a pubic forum without any prior notification to the Palace. At that point any power they believe they have is gone.

  43. Busy Bee says:

So the one year review period is ridiculous. If the Queen says this is not working out for us you cant be a part time royal he will officially close the door. They are gone gone gone never to return.

  44. paddingtonjr says:

Yeah, H&M have left the Firm. At this point, the BRF should be working towards repairing their personal relationships with H&M and accept they have moved on. Contuing to insult and harass them only hurts the BRF; H&M have their own lives now.

  45. Gail says:

I think Harry needs to borrow a song from Taylor swift, this one . We are never ever ever getting back together.
