I already used my 7 day free trial at HBO. Oh well.

  2. Case says:

Absolutely thrilled to finally, safely, be seeing Wonder Woman 1984.

  3. AmunetMaat says:

Yikes! Why would they use this version of HBO. I hate how all of the “premium” movie channels are making you pay for their streaming apps. 🙄 What is the point of me having Roku and all of the other streaming services if I have to pay extra for the extra I’m already paying for 🤦🏾

    • Becks1 says:

Do you already have HBO? If so you should have access to HBOMax. it’s a separate app but not a separate price.

ETA but its not available as an app on the Roku, which is super annoying. at least not as far as I know.

  4. StrawberryBlonde says:

My hubby and I would totally watch this Christmas Day night after the munchkin goes to bed. Hope it is available to rent streaming in Canada. We do have Crave (which has a deal for some HBO content).

    • deezee says:

I believe it is expected to be in theatres here (which means you won’t be able to see it if say, you live in Ontario, as theatres are closed in many areas and tighter lockdowns for the next month are expected to be released Friday the 20th).

  5. Elizabeth Phillips says:

Lovely. I’ll never get to see it.

  6. jessamine says:

This question might be super dumb but does anyone know if HBO Max is the same as the HBO add-on you can get on Prime or Hulu?

    • Dutch says:

Bad news: No it’s not the same. Good news: If you currently subscribe to HBO through Prime or Hulu you can download the HBOMax app on your smart TV or device of your choosing and access it with your login credentials for Prime or Hulu.

      • megs283 says:

Well, that’s confusing…!!! I also have HBO through Hulu. I hate that they have HBO, HBOGo, HBOMax… I don’t care enough to learn the intricacies of their branding.

      • jessamine says:

Thank you! I don’t currently subscribe to HBO on prime because it’s pricey but if HBOMax is a different app it looks like I can subscribe an get a week free trial! yay!

  7. Kimmie says:

I’m so excited!!! I miss going to an actual theater. Maybe I can justify upgrading the tv to an 80” and get surround sound, instead of the bar.

    • fluffy_bunny says:

We finally upgraded our tv to a smart tv at the beginning of the pandemic so we could do streaming services. My husband had been eyeing tvs for a couple of years and I told him to finally order the damn thing.

    • Becks1 says:

One of our projects this spring/summer was to put in a projector and screen in our basement and I was skeptical at first, but it’s been a very worthwhile investment.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

When my twins were born we did this (figured we weren’t going out for a few years anyway) and I’m so glad we’ve had it during the pandemic!

  8. AppleTartin says:

I don’t understand HBO Max, I have HBO Max through Hulu but certain shows like Raised by Wolves and movies. I have to switch to the app which is very annoying.

    • Also Ali says:

The HBO app on my fire stick converted itself to HBO max. It said HBO but when I opened it, it was HBO max. 🤷‍♀️
I have a free year of HBO Max through my cell plan. Before I had HBO through Prime for certain series I wanted to watch.

  9. FancyHat says:

I need this movie to be good. It’s been a shit year just give us this please

  11. Teresa says:

I have HBO Max. I think it’s worth the money for a month anyways to support a female led action movie. Also it’s $14 which is way less than the price of going to the theater. Treat yourself yall. It’s a subscription you can cancel anytime.

    • Anne Call says:

Yeah, we have Hulu live and we can stop and start HBO and Showtime depending on what shows we are watching. They make it pretty easy unlike some of the other apps I have like Sundance.

  12. Leah says:

Time to start a 7 day free trial the day after Christmas…yay 😀

Been looking forward to seeing this movie for a while.

  13. Cherish says:

It was about time they released it, tbh. They couldn’t keep doing PR for it for years lol

Can’t say I’m excited about this, tho. I’m a fan of Wondy, but the first film was really underwhelming and I can’t help but cringe when anyone calls it “feminist”.

I’m crossing my fingers for a Diana recast when DC eventually retcons the DCEU.

    • Yikesx says:

Yea and apparently there are references in the film that won’t be relevant afterTrump is out of office someone said who saw a test screening other pop culture references too 😬

  14. The Recluse says:

I need this film so bad.
