I really hope not, but if it’s over, put me firmly in camp Team Lucy.

  2. escondista says:

my husband doesnt wear a wedding ring and never has for 5 years. I’d care if i felt remotely suspicious but i dont. It is weird that he’s suddenly not…

  3. candy says:

    I’ve read a few blinds that he’s a cheater.

    • blaaaaaj says:

he’s cheated tons, before this marriage and during it. the persona he puts forth is so artificial. it took weinstein’s fal for the veil to go down hard

      • Yvette says:

What veil fell regarding Damon and cheating after the Weinstein thing? With all the alleged cheating he has done during his marriage, you’d think someone would have spilled the tea by now.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Both he and Afleck were well known ho’s regardless of whether they were single or married – the only difference is the Damon has always been discreet.

      • Snappyfish says:

Hey are both known douchebags. Always. The persons of family man is extraordinarily egregious but that’s just my opinion. I like Ana & hope she sees the light soon. Have always felt sorry for Damon’s wife. She seems kind & genuine.

    • Va Va Kaboom says:

Oh wow, this is all news to me. I don’t care one way or another about Matt Damon as an actor or person. But I find myself surprised. Mostly that I’ve never heard these rumors about him before. Well, I’m off to google now…

  4. Wilma says:

I lost my wedding ring two months into our marriage. We expected it, so I had a really cheap ring. I’m horrible with jewelry so I can think of a lot of reasons why he isn’t always wearing the ring. 😁

    • Ann says:

I’m the same. I never had an expensive engagement ring because of it. Mine was tiny tiny, which was fine with me. But then we decided to get a slightly larger one after our anniversary, and what did I do? I tripped and fell….on an actual banana peel. And broke THAT finger. Had to get it soldered off, and now my knuckle is just a little too big to get it on so I don’t wear it.

      • Va Va Kaboom says:

I inherited a ring that is just too ostentatious for me to ever wear as is. So I’ve gone to a few jewelers and am planning to have the setting and stone turned into a necklace pendant. It’s harder to lose necklaces, so maybe consider turning it into an engagement necklace?

  5. Nikki says:

So many people take rings off for various reasons of safety or comfort. It’s not like most of the world doesn’t know he’s married!

  6. Eenie Googles says:

I haven’t worn a ring since March because of all the sanitizer and hand washing.

    • Yolanda Ramos-Giraldo says:

Agreed, I wore my wedding band twice since the pandemic started.

    • LittlePenguin says:

I’m the same way (also I am just chilling at home)! My husband works in Healthcare and he took his off too.

    • fluffy_bunny says:

Neither have me or my husband. We aren’t going anywhere so it doesn’t matter. Also I’ve gained weight so I think they’ll need to be sized when things get back to normal.

    • paranormalgirl says:

not wearing mine either right now.

  7. Darla says:

Maybe he gained covid weight and it doesn’t fit.

    • Yvette says:

@Darla … “Maybe he gained covid weight and it doesn’t fit.”

LOL! That was my first thought, too, because Matty does look a bit … extra. But, hey, I’ve packed on a few Covid pounds of my own. 🙂

That, or just not bothering to wear his ring due to frequent hand washing, is my most likely ‘Ring Watch’ guess.

    • Elizabeth says:

      Relatable!!

  8. nicegirl says:

I kinda wish it was Deb Messing as Lucille Ball.

    • blaaaaaj says:

      SHE WOULD BE PERFECT

    • Chaine says:

I can’t envision Nicole Kidman in this role AT ALL.

    • Yvette says:

Agreed. I’m wondering why they didn’t go with Andy Garcia, who is Cuban and heavily into Cuban drums.

      • Anners says:

OOH! Deborah Messing and Andy Garcia would be *chefs kiss* perfect casting!

      • josephine says:

13 years older than Bardem would be my guess. i love, love andy garcia but he’s around 65, i think, and Bardem is closer to 50.

    • E.D says:

I have no great love for Debra Messing but when she played Lucille Ball in that B&W episode / tribute during the last season of Will & Grace, she she was gobsmackingly good.
She had the facial impressions and mannerisms down pat.

  9. Tiffany says:

On one hand, eh, he and Lucy have been married for well over a decade so this could be nothing.

On the other hand, Damon isn’t new to this and this photos show he is being cooperative with the photographer and wants to tell us something.

  10. blaaaaaj says:

matt damon was VERY buddy buddy with Weinstein. he’s gotten away with the aww shucks Im a good guy waaaay too long.

    • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

And let’s NOT forget he was perfectly ok with Affleck’s brother, Casey’s sexual harrassment on set.

    • Case says:

I’ve noticed that white guys seem to universally love Matt Damon and believe his good guy act. I don’t get it. He’s been a jerk publicly before.

      • Ann says:

I’ve always preferred Affleck in terms of looks. I know neither has been faithful and Ben had sobriety issues but Damon does seem to have kept his image cleaner somehow. I did not know that about Weinstein.

  11. Teresa says:

In regards to the manatee… I have gotten the pleasure of being graced with five manatees when my mom and I were hanging out in the water. They were inches from us and we gently petted them as they seemed genuinely into it for about forty minutes. It was wonderful. Anyone who would defile them with that scums name deserves life in prison imo.

  12. Michael says:

I think Debra Messing looks more like Lucille Ball but I do not think she is any kind of box office draw or awards magnet and I doubt she could hold her own on the screen opposite Javier Bardem the way Nicole Kidman could

    • Nicole says:

Agreed! Nicole Kidman wouldn’t be my first choice, but she could definitely draw more box office attention.

      • BnLurkN4eva says:

I enjoyed Nicole Kidman as an actress before her face became so distracting but she has never been a box office draw. I truly don’t think she can do anymore for this project than a Debra Messing. They would have been better off going with an unknown with talent and a face that moves. NK movies are successful when the film in question is excellent and the talk of the town, her middling movies all flopped at the box office.

  13. Veronica S. says:

I sideeye the attacks on Andrew Yang considering he’s among the few politicians suggesting progressive answers for our poverty issues and, like Bernie, can talk across the aisle. He’s trying to put his money where his mouth is with UBI and was helping in Georgia with those run offs. He’s not perfect and has the same missteps as a lot of other wealthy, but I can think of far worse people in the Democratic Party deserving hit job articles. At least his statement acknowledges such a situation is hard instead of acting like it doesn’t exist at all.

    • Jessie says:

I agree. Plus if you have the ability, more space in this trying time IS important. I think it’s just a smear campaign

  14. Case says:

I’m not much of a fan of Matt Damon but I don’t think the lack ring necessarily means trouble. He may have gained weight, or is getting a new one/this one resized, or isn’t wearing it because it’s annoying to wear jewelry with so much hand-washing, or any number of other reasons.

  15. NYStateofMind says:

Sometimes I don’t wear mine and my husband doesn’t. So? We love each other just the same.

  16. MangoAngelesque says:

My husband and I both wear wedding rings/don’t wear wedding rings depending on what we’re doing or where we’re going. I’ve never seen the massive deal people make about the status of someone’s relationship being dependent on the presence of a ring. We’ve been married since 2006 and together since 2002, so a ring going back and forth is pretty irrelevant.

  17. Winterberry says:

I dunno. My husband lost his first wedding ring in the backyard and this morning I found the kitten playing with the the second one.

  18. Mignionette says:

I think something is defo up.

If there is one thing I’ve noticed about the media, it’s that they like to troll HARD.

Usually when we see stories like this, it’s bc there is a gag order on some evidence they are not yet able to use bc it’s borderline illegal or an injunction is in place. Or occasionally they’re waiting for a statement or exclusive.

Reading between the lines, this time they have evidence but they’re teasing it out.

    Divorce not far.

  19. Maria says:

Ocean’s eleven curse. Clooney watch out

  20. Very well Explained! Great work!

  21. mar says:

Deborah Messing is the PERFECT Lucy. She’s got great comedic talent and timing. Nicole Kidman just irks me with that face.
