Heather Mills, 53, is engaged to 36-year-old sports TV producer Mike Dickman

Suggs and Friends for Pancreatic Cancer

Years ago, I was sort of obsessed with Heather Mills and her Big Grifter Energy. This was back when she was married to Paul McCartney, and then they divorced and I was sort of obsessed with all of the divorce drama. It’s been years since Heather was really on anyone’s gossip radar though – I’m sure the British press has kept tabs on her, but sitting here in America, it’s been years since I’ve heard anything about her. Paul lives in the US now, and he’s happily married to Nancy Shevell. After her divorce from Paul, Heather got a nice settlement (something like $50 million) and joint custody of their daughter Beatrice, who is now 17 years old! Time flies. Anyway, Heather is back in the news this week because she’s engaged. To a man 17 years younger than her.

Heather Mills is set to wed her toyboy boyfriend after the pair exchanged commitment rings — 13 years after her acrimonious divorce from Sir Paul McCartney. The vegan campaigner, 53, has described 36-year-old film producer Mike Dickman as the “love of her life”.

Smitten Mike, who also works in sports TV, views the exchange as an informal engagement. It is understood they swapped rings shortly before Christmas, having enjoyed a romantic holiday in Portugal in September.

A source said: “Heather and Mike are incredibly happy. It’s so good to see a smile on her face again after a turbulent few years. They’re completely in love. Heather has told pals he’s the love of her life whilst, for his part, Mike adores her and is completely devoted…Heather’s incredibly young at heart, and gets on with all his mates — their 17-year age gap really isn’t an issue.”

Although Heather is in no rush to walk down the aisle again, they have swapped commitment rings to keep other suitors at bay. Earlier this week, Mike showed off a ring worn on his wedding finger on social media with various friends commenting with love heart emojis and “likes”.

The news comes 18 months after the couple first started dating — having met on a train. Heather reportedly left a note for Mike declaring, “You’re hot, email me”, with her contact details attached.

Well, I mean… good for them, I suppose. I always felt like Heather was on the friendly side of “con artist” and it was widely reported (and confirmed by Heather) that she burned through her divorce settlement within a few years, so it’s not like she’s a sugar mama or anything. My guess is that Mike will probably have to financially support her. Maybe she’s changed though (lol, unlikely). Anyway, I hope Mike is going into this with his eyes wide open and an ironclad prenup.

She received $50M & burned through it??

    • Mumzy says:

I went back to double check the number when I got to that part too! If that’s true, she’s not just financially unwise, she’s absolutely incendiary! (In that birthday cake pic, maybe the thing on the right was a straw, until she touched it.)

    • FHMom says:

I can’t get past that. It seems like an impossible feat.

    • emu says:

Man I am obsessed about that too. Like $1M would change my life forever. Imagine if she had just managed to live a normal life below her means.

    • whatWHAT? says:

I remember reading about that when she announced it. she did stuff like buy multiple bouquets of fresh flowers EVERY DAY (and they were probably the most expensive bouquet from the most expensive shop).

you can’t sustain a lifestyle like that unless you’re married to a person with $ like Macca and she was living like she still had access to it.

This makes me so angry…What I could do with a tiny fraction of that…Just to be out from under the weight of student loan debt…

  2. Tiffany says:

How do you burn through 50 mill in 3 years. My God.

You never touch the principal. That’s just common sense.

    • SarahCS says:

      This. Like, how????

    • KhaoManee says:

      IDK, but it’s disgusting.

    • SamC says:

It’s like big lottery winners who burn through their winnings in a few years…you think how, then see the big houses, cars, sadly lots are conned, etc.

Jocelyn Wildenstein burned through something like a billion dollar divorce settlement, had read Nicole Murray, Eddie’s ex, also went through her huge settlement, Trump Winery came about because the woman who owned it, Patricia Kluge, burned through a $100 million dollar divorce settlement, all of it blows my mind!

Not here to comment on the age difference. Just. This woman was such a grifter, you’re right. I don’t know the circumstances of how she showed up in his life, but Paul was devastated from losing Linda, of course. And Paul is also someone who strikes me as feeling like he has to have a woman in his life always. (Like he put Linda, who had no musical ability, in his band because he said he just wanted her around.) Heather took advantage of that.
All I remember from the divorce case is that Heather didn’t like the outcome and she poured a pitcher of water on Paul’s attorney’s head in the courtroom. And I remember enough stories in the press about his kids hating her for the stories not to have been placed by the kids.
Clearly I have strong feelings about this woman lol.

    • SamC says:

I think they met because she was raising money for her charity (she’s an amputee and had founded a nonprofit to raise money for prosthetics or something like that) or through some sort of charitable event/entity and he thought she was this wonderful do-gooder. It was fairly soon after Linda McCarney passed away and all his kids hated her.

    • HeyJude says:

She released a tape or transcript of call of Paul begging her and singing to her to return and work things out with him too (singing “We Can Work Out”), that’s the big thing most people remember from it.

She f*cking utterly humiliated that guy for sport. (I know I’m obviously biased but it was clear.)

She also alienated him from his beloved kids for a while because all of them saw right through her and warned him not to marry her.

(And yes, Paul’s a hopeless romantic, he needs a muse. It’s pathological it’s tracks into lots of his songwriting from the 60s to today.)

    53 – 36 = 17, not 13. Just FYI on the typo.

  5. Ronaldinho says:

Mad. I was once in a small shop with her in Brighton, England and she spent forever trying to get people notice who she was. It was comical.
I felt she had a bad run of it with McCartney as he was British RnR royalty. I don’t believe life with him is plain sailing but I also think she is hat stand.
Good look to the new guy (who looks 10 yrs older than his yrs)

  6. Zen says:

Heather and her new man are 17 years apart and so are Paul and Nancy. Interesting.

  7. SpankyB says:

I was actually thinking about her the other day and wondering what happened to her. I don’t remember what happened to make her pop into my head, though.

She reminds me of my ex-h’s second ex-wife (I’m the first ex). They look alike and she’s just as much of a grifter. Once she realized my ex didn’t have as much money as I’m sure he told her he had, she split. I laughed.

  8. Esmom says:

Looks like she ordered the Madonna special on the facial fillers. Eek.

I had completely forgotten they had a daughter. I wonder who has primary custody.

    • HeyJude says:

They share by court order. But in practice it’s fluctuated over the years, with her being mostly seen with Paul in the past few years. (There’s been some scuttlebutt among Beatles fandom that as Beatrice got into her teens she developed a personality that clashed with Heather’s and Heather’s affinity for publicity/public photos, and thus sought refuge with her dad who guards her privacy.)

  9. KBeth says:

Takes real commitment to burn through that much money….

  10. BL says:

I personally love when the woman is older than the man in the relationship…but I do remember reading that she was an asshole human.

  11. loulou says:

Well, looking at her face I guess there are vegan fillers and Botox.

  12. Dee Kay says:

I’m a huge Paul McCartney fan but I had never read before that Heather Mills went through her entire $50M divorce settlement in a few years!!! I always assumed she was set for life and would never have to do a single thing for money ever ever again. Wow. Some people.

Just one correction to the story: Paul doesn’t “live in the U.S.,” he splits his time between (from what anyone can tell) New York, his London house, and his Sussex farm. He lived on the Sussex farm for many months in 2020, quarantining with his daughter and her family, and that’s where he recorded McCartney III (which is fantastic, btw).
