Naomie Olindo of Southern Charm, 28, got fillers and Botox and shared photos

I don’t watch Southern Charm, but Naomie Olindo, 28, was on up until last season. My friend Briana told me that Naomi “seemed a little too try hard to stay interesting” and that “her relationship with Craig was SO toxic and annoying,” but that was just how Craig is. I’m covering Naomi because she shared before and after photos on her Instagram stories of getting Botox and fillers in her jawline and cheeks. We actually covered her in 2018 when she got a nose job and was open about that too. This woman is 28 years old and looked lovely before, so I don’t get it. This was probably comped and/or sponsored by the esthetician. Naomi posted this on her Instagram stories but it’s no longer available so I’m using People’s writeup. Naomie’s current stories are sponcon posts from Mexico, where she’s on vacation with friends. Of course she is. She did make the point that people shouldn’t be ashamed about Botox and fillers and that it’s a personal choice. I agree with that.

Sharing a series of posts on her Instagram Story, according to Bravo, Olindo opened up about the changes she underwent, writing, “Y’all know I hate it when people try to judge about Botox/fillers.”

“It is absolutely okay to do exactly what you want to do and not be ashamed about it,” she added, also including before and after shots of her side profile after a visit to aesthetic medicine physician assistant, Cameron Moskos.

In another post, Olindo thanked Moskos for the work she did, noting, “Such a subtle and natural difference on my jawline.”

Noting that the pair “discussed her aesthetic goals and decided on a plan that included using dermal filler to enhance her cheeks, chin, and jawline,” Moskos added, “Oh, and of course a little Botox sprinkle!”

[From People]

Again, she looked great before. Many women who get Botox and fillers at a young age end up looking older because they get that homogenous look. However she made a good case that this is something we chose for ourselves. Plus it sounds like she’s happy with it. We’re all hopefully about to get vaccinated, although judging by her vacation to Mexico I doubt she’s taking covid seriously. The Moderna vaccine can cause facial swelling in people with fillers. Is she just going to wait until she can get Pfizer or one of the other vaccines that are hopefully approved soon? It just surprises me when women get this done so young, but we have a lot of options now to change our looks. Many people can get paid to do it too.

Look she went to the DNC but she doesn’t affiliate with any particularly party, ok? At least she picked the right one to be photographed at.

It looks like she’s been traveling quite a bit.

I don’t know what she looked like before all of her work but the woman in the top photo looks older than 28 IMO. Maybe it’s the combo of fillers and makeup?

I have family that have started to get fillers in their 20s and I don’t get it either. Getting a nose job is one thing but fillers when your face is already at peak fullness makes no sense to me. Enjoy your youth while you can! I’m approaching 40 and just started looking at myself thinking about it. It never crossed my mind at that age but maybe that’s because when I was that age this wasn’t such a big thing.

Good for her. She now looks older than 28.

  3. CROOKSNNANNIES says:

Good for her for being so open. I think the toxic part of plastic surgery/filler is the unrealistic expectations. But if someone comes out and says hey I did this, then it removes that element. I don’t know if I hope it removes the stigma because I still feel like plastic surgery should be reserved for reconstruction purposes/helping disfigured people.

I know woman should do whatever they want with their bodies but at the same time I’m so suspicious of cosmetic surgery side effects. So many things in the medical field are under reported and I just don’t buy that you can use Botox and fillers that are eventually just absorbed into your body with no side effects. So many of my friends and family members have had devastating health effects with breast implants but were told they are perfectly safe and fine. Putting foreign substances in your body is always a risk IMO and I don’t think we even know what the long term effects of these procedures.

I was always in favor of people doing whatever they want but after watching too much Botched, I’m convinced half of plastic surgeons don’t know what they’re doing and if they do, your body might just tell you to go to hell. I’m not going for anything invasive, hopefully ever.

I admired her for her honesty with her first nose job. She was absolutely stunning before but obviously didn’t feel that way inside. It’s her life and her choice and she was really happy with the end result. Naomi has always been a hard-worker and a go-getter, studying for her master’s in business while filming Southern Charm, and now has her own seemingly thriving fashion line. I follow Naomi and saw the filler story she just posted and I honestly couldn’t see any difference. This fixation of twenty-somethings in using fillers is a head-scratcher.

  6. Jess says:

I actually have both these things on my “want” list for the future. I love her jawline!

    • Lorraine says:

I only have lip filler, I just don’t think I could get filler anywhere else in my face though. I just wanted my lips to be more symmetrical and IMO the Aesthetic NP did a bit too much for my taste on the bottom lip. She already dissolved a little bit and said she would dissolve more of it to bring it down but I think I’m just going to let them alone now and have it go down on its own. I honestly don’t know if I will ever get them done again. I’m going to for sure stick to botox. So far I only get botox for TMJ but I am starting to notice a few forehead lines that don’t look terrible, but probably in 1-2 years, I’ll get it there too. Trying to extend it as long as possible since I’m only 33. I think if you want to do it, do it! If you don’t like it, it can always be dissolved (it hurts tho), just make sure you are on the same page with your injector.

I watched Southern Charm when she was on and she’s a very pretty girl. She did not need surgery, IMO. Her nose job makes her look like every else, but if she’s happy 🤷🏼‍♀️

  8. Leskat says:

I know I’m in the minority but I’m tired of people getting all these procedures and surgeries and we all have to applaud it because “it’s their body and they can do what they want with it” and “it doesn’t affect you, so why do you have an opinion?”. It does affect me- I have 2 young daughters and seeing these types of faces and bodies everywhere is skewing what they can view as real beauty. Most popular images of beauty have tiny noses, balloon lips, cheek and chin implants, and photoshopped to hell and back. And I don’t think these tweaks make people actually feel better about themselves. I think it starts them on a path to a little bit more, a little bit more. People are so unaccepting of themselves. My own sister has had rhinoplasty, Botox and lip injections and she’s still not happy so I’ve seen it first hand.

    • DeltaJuliet says:

It’s a fine line but I do have to say I agree with you.

    • Wilma says:

I am sort of in agreement. Bottom line: her face, her choice. But I am concerned that we don’t have a strong enough counter narrative that focuses on people being happy with themselves as they are.

  9. DeltaJuliet says:

I am almost 47 and although I really don’t think I will ever have anything done (not in the budget or lifestyle TBH) I’d love to have my jawline tweaked!

    • Watson says:

Botox and fillers are fine. It’s just that there’s a line that’s hard not to cross, and many people end up over doing it and looking older (over filled in cheeks and a jawline that’s skeletal) than they anticipated. This woman looks good but definitely less soft and older.

    • Anna says:

Agreed. I’m starting to get little jowls and I hate them. I love “crinkly” eyes with smile lines and all of that, but jowls are the one thing I just can’t handle personally. I don’t think I’d do that neck threading thing which looks like some kind of sideshow snakeoil process…then again, industry innovations have to start somewhere, right? But that’s not for me though I do worry about the sagging starting to happen in the neck area.

  10. Lorraine says:

Only a small number of people experienced swelling after receiving the COVID vaccine. Swelling can also happen after receiving the flu vaccine as well. That shouldn’t stop anyone from getting it though! Just make sure you inform the person injecting you so you can be monitored after. I have lip filler and I’m still nervous about getting the vaccine but I’m still going to do it!

  11. lobstah says:

I’m just waiting for the day when plumped-up lips are no longer fashionable. Eyebrows did a U-turn, lips will too. But what I wonder is, how will all these women look in the nursing home, with gray hair and very voluptuous pouts?

  12. Winnie Cooper’s Mom says:

It seems like plastic surgery can be addicting for some people. Like they are always thinking, “Ok, I got that done. Now what can I do to my face next?” It must be an emotional torture to always be insecure about one’s own appearance. It just sometimes seems like the person isn’t happy with who they are, even after yet another procedure. Sad. Life is about so much more than looks.

    • Leskat says:

I agree. I commented above that I’ve seen this with my own sister. She’s had a nose job, lip injections and Botox and is never happy. It quickly becomes something that people do a deep dive into and they lose themselves.

    • Sigmund says:

Definitely. I think plastic surgery is tricky, because it appeals to and feeds into unhealthy body images.

  13. Nina says:

Waste of money on her part- not needed and now she looks older than 28. People need to stop being so insecure over their looks.

    • BeanieBean says:

Yep. Her natural self was beautiful. Her gallic nose was just right for her face. Now she looks like everyone else.

  14. shanaynay says:

I think this makes her look older than she really is. She is trying to change everything about herself. She looks like a totally different person. Guess, she wasn’t too happy with who/how she looked. Where’s her self love?

I remember when Shannon Beador’s (RHOOC) husband wanted her to get breast implants, and she was totally against it because of what image that should show to her daughters about body image. Then, after the divorce, she’s had all these facial procedures done. I’m sure that hasn’t messed with her daughter’s image/persecption of body imagine. Huh, Shannon!!???

  15. Cassie says:

I’ll be in the minority to say that I’ve had both fillers and Botox and neither look fake or aging on me. I freaking love Botox. I promise that Botox is not noticeable when done correctly! If you see someone with the eyebrows that have the crazy arch but the middle doesn’t move…that’s poorly placed Botox. I got cheek filler after losing weight and it looks amazing – it gave a bit more structure to my face. It’s great that a lot of you want to “age naturally”, but not all cosmetic procedures result in distorted features. I think patients can definitely fall into the trap of chasing every line and wrinkle and they have providers who don’t say no. It’s important to find a provider who shares your aesthetic and will tell you no!! My friends and boyfriend always tell me I’m lucky I don’t need those things, so yes, it can look very natural 😂

    • schmootc says:

I’m 47 and have been getting Botox in the forehead since my late 20s. That’s when I started seeing makeup settling in my frown crease in my car’s rearview mirror and it drove me crazy.
I’ve not done fillers yet, but would consider it. Everything in moderation, as the saying goes. I’m not going to get enough procedures to look like Jocelyn what’s-her-awful-face, but a little here and there, why not if I think I look better?

  16. lascivious chicken says:

    I don’t share her values.

  17. Lissdogmom02 says:

I read an article that if you continually Botox you atrophy your muscles & they slowly waste away & then you get the bone & skin forehead look you see on some people.
It’s a personal choice for sure but nothing comes without risk & side effects.

  18. Mrs. Darcy says:

The overemphasis on symmetry in plastic surgery is not everyone’s friend. Was her chin a bit dainty for her features? Maybe, but I never thought she looked mannish before, which was my first thought with the top photo. Even with her original nose she was a pretty girl. It wasn’t a great nose job imo they went too far and she does just look generic now. People have their face shapes and features for a reason, messing with it too much when the person is very attractive to begin with is rarely an improvement.

  19. Andrea says:

I have a friend who has been getting lip fillers and botox since her mid 20’s and honestly, she looks closer to my age now, which is 39 then her actual age of 34. She also I think may be getting cheek fillers. she is addicted and I believe may have body dysmorphia. She says if she weighs 120 lbs she won’t be able to cope, she wavers between 90 and100lbs. I find it very sad and wonder what she will look like at 55.
