Gigi Hadid wore Prada to the 2021 Met Gala. This is her first gala since giving birth last year – I actually think we’re coming up on Khai Malik’s first birthday?? Which is cool. Gigi has been back to work since her maternity leave, but it doesn’t feel like she’s in our faces, which is nice. I also like her gala ensemble and styling. I mean, she’s not there to reinvent the wheel, and she basically just went with a nice gown with a corset. She did try to mix it up with a spectacular red wig though. It suits her! She should definitely dye her hair red, it looks great.
Rita Ora & Taika Waititi, both in Prada. If you watched the Vogue livestream, you probably noticed two things: one, Taika was hammered and two, Rita’s dress did not fit at all. It looked like she got the sh-t off-the-rack in a size too big. Rita seems to like Taika a lot but he seems to be… I don’t know, in his f–kboy feelings these days.
Storm Reid in Prada. An absolute mess of a dress, but she seemed to enjoy it.
Frank Ocean wore Prada and carried one of the creepiest dolls I’ve ever seen. I love Frank but lord, I would not want to sit at his table with that doll.

Frank Ocean is releasing a new line of jewellery called Homer, exploring nostalgic design of his childhood if I understood correctly. It’s all about diamonds and gold. Le Sigh. Is he Kanyeing? I love his music… But I think of all the people who want to design and create, go to school, only to have celebs taking over, and BAM, have a whole line of stuff coming out.
Anyway, the doll might be announcing the line? I think it has that weird green somewhere in the stuff or the brand logo? His necklace is definitely his design.
@ August Rain, I agree!! People work hard to become designers of clothing, jewelry band handbags. Just because you wear it, doesn’t mean you know how it’s made or have the history of materials, textiles and fabrics. Hell, I could design clothes too if I was a big celebrity, all the while I have a crew figuring out the necessary steps into creating such design. Same with makeup, perfume and a set of supplements that are a combination of East facing wheat grasses cut with its morning dew on it! Yes, I am looking at you Paltrow with your placenta based face cream!!
Storm is so young and beautiful, she needed a really cool look, not a hot mess.

I am not impressed with any of these except Hadid, if it wasn’t so harsh in the bustier.

Taika’s suit had defined wrinkles, like it was just unfolded and put on. And Rita’s outfit looked poorly fitted and the skirt was too long. Last minute invites?

I love that hair color on Gigi. Of all of the reality spawn nepotism models, she’s the only one who I think actually has “it”.
How is Gigi’s dress so wrinkle-free, was someone waiting with a steamer the minute she got out of the car? I am honestly impressed by this, this is a model who will represent a brand well.

I don’t usually like Gigi’s Met Gala looks but this one is actually pretty good (and I do agree that the hair color is probably contributing heavily here). Very classic vampy American glam. Probably would’ve been even better with a fancier corset.
Gigi did dye her hair that shade of red (see her IG stories), the ponytail is an extension. She also mixed the eye colour herself. I like her look, Jessica Rabbit-esque almost?
Hunter Schafer’s look from the neck up is amazing. Would have been even better if she’d really leaned into the futuristic/dystopian/metallic vibe with a fully covered/long sleeved dress in that material. Or even a jumpsuit with a cape? Would have been so good.
