Angelina Jolie wore a perfect slouchy sweater for a book signing in LA

Angelina Jolie signs her latest book for her fans in LA

Here are some photos of Angelina Jolie leaving Skylight bookstore in Los Feliz yesterday. She signed copies of her book, Know Your Rights and Claim Them, which is already out and available for purchase. I completely love her ensemble here – while I’m used to seeing Jolie in slouchy clothes and sack-wear, this sweater is completely gorgeous and it’s something I’d love to own. It’s the perfect slouchy off-the-shoulder sweater. I love that Jolie is still wearing her mask too. She’s been carrying that same (?) Loro Piana Sesia tote for a while, I think it’s her favorite bag this year.

This week, we also saw Angelina out to dinner with her first ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller. JLM is/was in LA, and they had dinner in Beverly Hills on Tuesday evening. They left in the same car, and I really, really hope that this is happening. A “source” just told E! News that Jonny and Angie are “just friends” though. Which… sure, of course they’re friends. They’ve been friends for decades. But are they bumpin’ uglies or what?

Meanwhile, Angelina has been posting to her Instagram since she started it in August. I think she must have finally gotten an IG because she wanted to promote this book to the youths. And maybe her own kids were pestering her about getting on the ‘gram. She’s now up to 10.5 million followers, and her latest IG is about her book.

I may be biased but I think Angelina always dresses well. And I think the book is such a great idea. I hope it does well.

    • Seraphina says:

I agree, I love her style. It is HER and she owns owns it. I think that what makes it great.

    • Lia says:

I think she’s looked sooo much better since the divorce. I know this is a cliche to say but she was looking older and frumpier in her last 2-3 years with Brad, and ever since the divorce her style, hair, skin and just overall presentation is sooo good. It really is striking to see the way a toxic relationship can really affect a person.

      • whatWHAT? says:

agree 100%. it was like, within just weeks of her splitting, she started to look better. hair, skin, all of it. I think the last couple years of that relationship really put her (and her kids!) through the wringer. she looks very pretty and professional here.

what I’d like to know is…was she standing the whole time?! HOW THE F did she manage to NOT wrinkle her skirt?!

    • goofpuff says:

I agree, I really LOVE this look. I want to copy it for myself.

  2. Dena Landon says:

Okay, I really want that sweater!

  3. Cessily says:

This is the best I’ve seen her look in a while. I love the clothes but more importantly she looks healthy.

    • Ashby says:

Yes, Angelina looks so classy here, this look is elegant, simple and understated.

Reminds me of Megan Markle”s style.

I’m not into fashion, I don’t care to chase trends, but I appreciate personal style.

I rather invest in classic pieces that are well made from good quality fabrics than purchase for example skinny jeans, because it’s the fashion and all the rage.

I like her bag, I also wear something often when I like it a lot.

A few weeks ago I bought a wonderful handbag from MANSUL GAVRIEL, my second one and I love it so much.

Angelina seems like pure class to me.

It’s not about trends for me or quantity, rather classy, elegant, simple, high quality and really well made.

Stunning. Wish Vogue was able to ID the sweater maker…

  5. Becks1 says:

This is a great outfit. I dislike her street style 99% of the time but then when she nails it (in my opinion), she REALLY nails it. She looks fabulous here.

    • HandforthParish says:

      I agree!

She often seems bizarrely overdressed but this looks amazing. It’s perfect for a book event- professional and casually sexy.

    • L84Tea says:

Agreed. I’m not always wild about her style, but once in a while she blows me away. She looks fantastic here–chic and healthy.

    • josephine says:

Agree. She’s consistent and owns her style, but it’s always a bit staid. This is great (a pop of color!) although a different shoe would have been even better. She looks really healthy and pretty.

    • Myra says:

Same. This is such a stylish look, compared to her usual street style.

    • lucy2 says:

Same here, I don’t generally care for her style, but I like this look.

    • Golly Gee says:

The color of the sweater really suits her and enhances her own coloring. She needs to stop with the beige. More color, especially smoky pastels would suit her.

  6. Barbie1 says:

I love what she is wearing omg. Fantastic.

    • BothSidesNow says:

I know!! She looks incredible here and I am wondering if I could pull that sweater off!! I am 5’ 1” and I am afraid this sweater would swallow me!

  7. Miss M says:

Anyone have an ID on her sweater?

  8. Bettyrose says:

Shameless 80s girl here and I love love love the off the shoulder sweater! Fashion wise my only issue is that I dislike the color of the heel being so close to her pale skin tone. I want more contrast. But like she’s promoting a book for children on human rights. And that book goes well with any look.

  9. tempest prognosticator says:

This look is perfection. No matter what she’s wearing, she always exudes class and grace.

  10. Nyro says:

I looove her style. She dresses like a grown-up elegant woman without it being an aged or frumpy look. Very different from most over-35 celebs whose style sometimes seems to be very youth inspired.

  11. Zut Alors says:

She is being styled by Jason Bolden now (per his Instagram), so I am hopeful that she’s willing to tweak her style. She looks good here.

    • sassafras says:

OMG. I love Jason. If I could pick a celebrity stylist, that’s who I would pick, too. His reality show is so perfect.

  12. Case says:

I don’t usually feel any certain way about her or her clothes, but this outfit is spectacular. Love the slouchy sweater.

    • L4frimaire says:

I’m not really into her style at all. This only looks marginally better because it’s not a sack dress.

  13. MarJo says:

    Good styling.

  14. SophieJara says:

Idk if anyone scrolled her post, but I love these excerpts? Very practical, very focused on direct action and risk and safety. I am excited about this book! And love that Zut Alors pointed out the new(?) stylist tag – team Jason Bolden! I hope we get more looks like this.

    • BothSidesNow says:

@ SophieJara, I did and I am actually excited about her book now, whereas I would not have given it another thought!! I am finding the few pages she posted as extremely insightful and informative. I would love to know more about the book!!

  15. Sierra says:

    My girl looks amazing 🤩

  16. Theothermia says:

I’ve seen her in person in LA and she really is that gorgeous. Helen of Troy levels of beauty, like…it’s physically hard to look at her.
More than that though, she’s a class act.

  17. Dee Kay says:

Jolie is the great beauty of our time. I love her in this look.

  18. Taylor says:

So do we know the designer of the sweater yet???
