The Cambridges are ‘reconciled’ to their ‘broken’ relationship with the Sussexes

The Duchess Of Cambridge Attends The Launch Of 'Taking Action On Addiction' Campaign

Something I still think about a lot: in the immediate wake of the Sussexit in 2020, various royal commentators were obsessed with the idea that Prince Harry must return to the UK… for the good of the monarchy, for his brother’s eventual reign. Robert Lacey especially was a broken record about that, that William (and the monarchy) desperately needed Harry, that the whole thing would fall apart if Harry wasn’t around. It often felt like there was some big thing being left unspoken, and it wasn’t just “William will need a confidante.” It felt like many people were saying, in their uptight, shady way, that William alone would not be up to the job, that there had been a long-time assumption that Harry would be a key part of both King Charles and King William’s reigns.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge never bought into any of that. They never showed any remorse about driving Harry and Meghan out of the country. What I believe: William and Kate would “accept” Harry’s return, but only if he left Meghan in America and only if he came groveling back. And that’s not going to happen. So… everyone has made their peace with everything:

Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to have accepted their ‘broken’ relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This report comes after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, alongside other members of the royal family, celebrated Kate’s 40th birthday over the weekend.

Andrew Neil, former chair of GB News, spoke to Channel 5 documentary, ‘2021: The Queen’s Terrible Year’, revealing that Kate and William are “reconciled” to the “broken” relationship with Harry, reports the Daily Record.

It is now two years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping back from their royal roles and outlined their plans to become “financially independent” while continuing to “support” the Queen. Following their departure, they settled down in Santa Barbara, California, where they currently live with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

Andrew revealed to the Channel 5 documentary: “I’m pretty sure from what I’ve been told that Prince William and Kate are reconciled to the fact that this is broken, and it can’t be put together. Not in the foreseeable future anyway, and that they need to go their way and William and Kate will go their way.”

[From The Daily Mirror]

In essence, William got “his way” from start to finish. He smeared and exiled his more popular and charismatic brother and sister-in-law, then William didn’t even have to take “the blame” for it publicly in any real sense, and he continues to adopt an air of wounded grievance, as if he’s the wronged party. Kate does that too, she plays the victim, even though she and her tacky mother were clearly behind many of the stories. Of course William and Kate are “reconciled” to the idea of never making peace with Harry and Meghan. The Keens’ goal was never to make peace or have Harry and Meghan in the royal fold.

I need them to stick with one talking point, just one!

    • Laura-Lee MacDonald says:

Ah! But for a single, consistent message to be possible, all the interested parties (KP, CH, each Cambridge, Carole) would have to talk to each other and agree. This silliness is the surest sign that Chaucer-esque level of buffoonery is all over the royal family. Sighhhhhh. Best reason to go cashless in Canada? No more looking at a monarchs face when buying beer.

      • rmcgrudiva says:

“Best reason to go cashless in Canada? No more looking at a monarchs face when buying beer.”

        This tickled me!

    • LaraW” says:

      Reminds me of Trump.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

All the complaining and explaining from Skull and Bones is getting tiresome. They did send their minion to break his NDA and give evidence voluntarily against Meghan as an act of spite and hatred. They can’t gaslight the public from their many acts of war against the Sussexes. We also know that they now have the spotlight in the UK but it refuses to shine on them. Even the lawn in Montecito overshadowed Wraith’s self-indulgent and tone deaf birthday photos. They need to give it up and face the fact that they are not interesting and are of no interest

      • Lexistential says:

Or, actually WORK. Not busywork– no pie charts, no “take the credit” piggybacks, but actual work where they implemented idea from start to fruition. For all the thin-skinned knocks we make about Charles, at least he’s put in the work with the Prince’s Trust. Those two have no social legacy.

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

I agree. Imagine these two lazy, no legacy and no charisma having indulged and cossetted beings still moaning about the hardworking and productive ones they drove out of the country. It’s now two years. They should sing another tune.

      • 809Matriarch says:

This!! They have to accept the “broken relationship.” I mean the blatant participation in the Mail’s war on the Duchess of Sussex was the cherry on top. If nobody knew William’s dreadful court was behind the vilification of Meghan to the point of suicidal ideation, they knew then. The only way not to see what broke the relationship is to be deliberately blind. Hence the furious rewriting of history and gaslighting claims about all the “lies” in the Oprah interview.

    • Seaflower says:

But if they did that, then they couldn’t make everything about them, every single time.

  2. Couch potato says:

Soo, Harry and Meghan were the subjects of conversation at Keens birthday? How very surprising!

    • Jais says:

Also what members of the royal family attended this dinner celebration?
Edit- ok, the article just says members of the RF celebrated her bday this wknd-which could be done from anywhere.

      • Lexistential says:

For all we know “members of the royal family” refers to Mike and Zara.

      • Elizabeth Regina says:

Maybe even mean girl Sophie? She will make sure she drags her daughter and husband to the birthday dinner.

      • Alice says:

These “members” could be the children. Them, Kate, and the Middletons celebrated her birthday.

      • notasugarhere says:

That sounds most likely, Alice. None of the Windsors would celebrate Kate.

      • BothSidesNow says:

Why would anyone take their time to celebrate Mumbles birthday? In the RF, no one would have celebrated with her except the @ss-kissing Sophi-Is-Groveling again! The RF knows where they stand with Mumbles and it certainly isn’t with team Windsor. No, she is team Meddlesome all the way!! Especially regarding Charles!! And Camilla as well!!

They better sleep with one eye open from now on.

      • JT says:

If the “real” royals showed up for Kate’s birthday they would have been named. All of the vagueness makes me think it was just her children and her family. Besides most of the RF were pretty scattered as far as there whereabouts. The queen was still in Windsor, most likely with Sofiesta and Edward, I think C&C were Scotland, and the York girls were in Switzerland. That leaves Zara and Mike but I’m sure they had other plans. Who would want to go down to Norfolk when they could stay wherever they were for New Years?

      • Gabby says:

I think in the RF, the Instagram post counts as “celebrating” KKKate’s birthday. No one would have shown up in person. Those most likely did their part by showing up for the Kristmas Karol Koncert.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

William and Kate will never escape from the Sussexes’ shadow. I predict there will be a flurry of “stories” about William and Kate that pointedly don’t mention Harry or Meghan, in a desperate attempt to “prove” the Cambridges are popular on their own — but it won’t work because they are DULL people.

  3. MsIam says:

Team Sussex/Archewell has been “reconciled” to this a looong time ago. Nobody on their side has been banging the drum about going back. Welcome to reality, Baldimort and Three Chords Kate.

    • Chloe says:

I was about to say this. Harry was reconciled with this as soon as he made the plans to leave royal life. Seems like the others couldn’t let him go.

In the end i think the full break was the best for harry and meghan. So even though the road towards their independence may have hurt, it was definitely the best for them.

      • Jais says:

Exactly. The Cambridges technically got everything they wanted but the break-up actually ended up being the very best for Harry and Meghan. And I’m not sure Will and Kate are actually respected or beloved. But they do have their own private playground now, which is great, as long as they don’t notice the epic water park everyone’s talking about across the pond.

      • notasugarhere says:

W&K want that water park too, Jais. That’s why William announced EarthSh!t’s next event would be in NYC. They want the US audience and funders.

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ notasugarhere, I don’t think that they will be very welcomed. They have to know that they won’t be seen as royal as they want to since Americans have seen what Bitter Brother did, as well as the Asinine Stepford Wife as well! We aren’t as blind and dumb as those across the pond!

They may be smiling now, but the smiles will disappear as more will be expected of them, as we know Mumbles has zero plans to step up to the plate, as she has stated. So Baldimort will stumble around, like a drunk @sshat, failing miserably, as he has in past years. He will need to be taken by the hand by his Grandmother time and time again to try and beat into his thick hairless head what is expected of him.

The best past about this scenario is that in the end, William will disrespectfully dismantle The Monarchy due to his own incompetence! He isn’t prepared to change a tire, yet alone run The Monarchy, except into the ground.

  4. Noki says:

It is disgusting and shocking that this happened in the 21st century. That a bunch of powerful and racist individuals drove a WOC out of a country. And the bigger shock is the cover up and burrying of what truely happened. There has been a slight shift in people also blaming the Keens but for the most part people dont like Meghan because they dont know the truth. And that is the most devastating part of all this.

    • Simmchen says:

I agree, due to all of the lies report most do not know the truth.

    • Chloe says:

@noki: i think that deep down people know the truth. The keens (or other royals for that matter) haven’t exactly been subtle about their part in this smear campaign. Almost every disparaging article about meghan contains sources from william and kates camp.

The thing is people just don’t care. They never wanted Meghan there to begin with. At the end of the day it was a WoC marrying into the whitest institution on earth and for some reason the Brits saw that as an attack on their identity. That is racism for you. All they needed was a reason to hate her. And the press was more than willing to provide it.

      • Gina says:

        @Chloe This!

      • swaz says:

        Facts 🤢

      • Gigi says:

Truthfully, not just (white) British people or white Americans. Not only did Chris Bouzy’s investigation uncover that a top anti-Meghan Twitter account was run by a Filipino man, but I always paid attention to who wrote the disgusting comments left on the Cambridges and then the Sussexes Instagrams: a significant number of them were written by folks from Asia (S, SE and SW). One that screamed their frustration that Meghan didn’t belong there bc she was a “black slave” was left by an Asian woman. Anti-Blackness is global, and it’s telling that so much hate came from former colonized communities. This is why I’ve always linked Meghan to the response to Barack and Michelle Obama. We are not supposed to be in these positions, and white people and other people who would be considered “minorities” in the US both believe this.

    • Yinyang says:

The minority will always be the one to get scapegoated by the rf, and to this extent is unimaginable and the participation of their own team members too. That’s why minority people are very reluctant when it comes to our own. And I don’t want William to come to the US. I really don’t want to play nice with him, we’re just over it and in the middle of the whole Andrew debacle too. Now that I think about it I can’t believe those years Meghan spent covering for them when the news first hit and as a new member too, William was thinking “come on Meghan you’ve got to take the fall, we’re more important than you”. Spoken like a true narcissist.

  5. Cg2495 says:

Dear BM, Harry and Meghan don’t give a flying f-*** anymore. Why they continue bringing this couple into their bs? They are happy in CA and still they living rent free on their minds. They reconcile that because Harry ain’t going back and maybe it finally sank in ?

  6. KFG says:

Lololol this realization must burn the rota. Bill and Kathy are boring. So they will be broke without sussex news unless they start reporting about the dirt the keens do. Lolllll

  7. girl_ninja says:

Look at what insecurity, jealousy and envy will drive some to. You chose popularity over your own flesh and blood. Over your younger brother because he found true love with a beautiful, hard working, joyful woman with a true servants heart and you ended up with a lazy lump. I’m the oldest and have a younger sister and I will never get over this man screwing over his younger brother. What a disgrace.

Never mind Kate who you know has a folder on her computer of all of Meghan’s outfits along with video snippets of her appearances to copy her. Losers.

  8. Cessily says:

I can not imagine having this crap in daily newspapers every single day. It would be nauseating especially when so many are loosing family and dealing with choices like “do we eat or do we have heat.” Shameful for a FFk and FFqc but absolutely unforgivable for the FF head of the CoE.

    • Couch potato says:

I’m not british, but from what I’ve seen and read, theres a special kind of group who reads these so called newpapers. That group don’t consist of the intellectual elite, to put it mildly. Many of the comedians working for BBC are making fun of these “newspapers” on a regular basis. I’ve heard there’s complaint about to many left leaning comedians on BBC, no doubt from the torys. It’s made me wonder if the attacks on BBC, including the investigation of the Diana interview, are a part of a bigger scheme from the torys. Willnot was their willing puppet and eagerly smeard his mother’s name in the process.

      • ArtHistorian says:

It is very likely that the attacks on the BBC are politically motivated by the right-wing. The same thing is happening in Denmark with DR (the equivalent to the BBC) – from the same political forces (right-wing), with the same criticism (it is too left-leaning).

  9. Blujfly says:

Why would any efforts be made on their part to reconcile when they caused the rift and abused their sister in law out of the country?

But I did think we were told all week/year Kate is the peacemaker?

    • BothSidesNow says:

Yes, Mumbles McMutton who is the king maker, peacemaker and the buttons maker is the only one still caught up in the business of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

I can’t wait for the RR’s to turn on her as they will one day want their pound of flesh…….

  10. TheOriginalMia says:

They broke the relationship. They continue to attack Meghan years later, but we’re to believe those two ninnies actually believed there was a relationship to be repaired. Only if Harry left his family and became his brother’s whipping post and his SIL’s fantasy husband again. That’ll never happen.

    • BothSidesNow says:

Even if, god forbid, something happened to Meghan, Harry is NEVER going back. Once TQ passes, he will never need to return.

  11. ABritGuest says:

This is where the idea that most of the media report without fear or favour is a myth. The media were thrilled to report on jason knauf’s intervention in Meghan’s case but went quiet after the Mail lost. his part in the case wasn’t referenced even when he was recently giving tribute to DoC. How can you discuss the broken relationship without referencing that William & Kate’s recently departed foundation head was a witness for the Mail?

Harry’s points about the invisible contract should have been a big story for real journalists & fact that a current royal aide was teaming with the Mail against a royal should be explored further but fact it hasn’t been gives more credence to the idea of an invisible contract protecting Kate & William.

    • Chloe says:

That is because the press nor the palace wants any attention on the invisible contract. Why do you think that the commentary after the oprah interview either focused on who made who cry or on who had concerns about archie’s skintone?

I hope that the invisible contract will feature heavily in harry’s upcoming memoir

    • Couch potato says:

So true! The real news story here is that a staff member either broke his NDA or was giving evidence against Meghan with W&K consent. Non of the garbage papers would touch it, but why not any of the others? Are they afraid of the reprecussions from the RF or the torys?

    • Becks1 says:

The press benefits from the invisible contract, why would they report on it? it makes the jobs of RRs so easy they’re a joke.

  12. Athena says:

William and Kate may not be in a loving relationship but after all these years together she knows how to press his buttons, how to manipulate him. I believe her and her insecurities started all this. She didn’t want Meghan to be visible and knew what to say and how to say it to get William to react while she stayed in the background. He knows he was played and that shows in the way he looks at her, the annoyance, the contempt that we can see in his face when he looks at her. But he’s too small of a human being to make it right with his brother.

    • Chloe says:

If william really wanted to break from kate all he has to do is blame the fall out with his brother on kate. I know it wasn’t the intention, but meghan gave him a perfect out when she corrected the crying story. All william has to say is: ‘see, she lied about that too’.

I actually do think people underestimate kate’s part in this whole thing. Including Meghan. Because her saying kate is a good person makes no sense from where i’m standing

      • Sid says:

I suspect the “Kate is a good person” comment was partially due to Meghan just being a kind person and probably pitying Kate and her situation, and also due to Meghan knowing as a biracial woman trying to set the record straight against a white woman it would be safer for her to keep it cute. Even though Kate didn’t deserve it.

      • Becks1 says:

I think the “she’s a good person” comment wasn’t meant to absolve Kate overall. I just think that for the interview with Oprah, Kate was not Meghan’s focus. I think Meghan could feel herself getting sucked into going into more detail – talking about the flowers, the note, how maybe she wasn’t allowed to correct the mistake – and decided to end the part about Kate. Even in that particular segment, for Meghan in that moment, the point wasn’t Kate. the point was how the media printed blatant lies about her and people just accepted those lies as truth and she was not allowed to correct them.

I do think she feels pity for Kate, especially if her husband was cheating on her while she was pregnant, but I think Meghan also knows exactly what kind of person Kate is.

    • notasugarhere says:

Kate’s insecurities were a large part of the anti-Meghan movement, but William has abused and used Harry since they were little kids. If Harry had only agreed to marry a milquetoast Kate could use and abuse at will, then Kate would have been Keener on him marrying.

  13. Well Wisher says:

I wish this is true. The feud would end as Bill surrenders and accepts the human need for personal boundaries. He should not have the ability to control another human being, (specifically his brother) without accepting proper accountability and responsibility.
Prince Charles has already indicated that he needs Harry and Meghan to play a part in his upcoming reign, while conceding that it would take some time to establish a proper rapprochement leading to his wish.
William, on seems to be advocating the dis-inheritance of his brother in the revelation of future use of rf properties.
This is public information couched in language that should denote power, instead it reveals malice.

    Time will tell.

    • Lili says:

I think its a nice Idea that Charles wants his son back, but unless he has ironclad agreements that William cannot break when he ascends the throne then Harry and His wife are better off carving out a role for the House of Montecito. Because Right now Charles is not setting a good example Denying His brother the Dukedom his father promised to Edward.

      • Couch potato says:

They should never go back to be full time royals, not just because they’ll eventually be under Willnot’s control. Although that’s an important part of it. Think about their conscience and reputation. How would Meghan have felt now, if they were still in in the fold, with Andrew’s case, the money for access scandals etc. It’s got to be hard for anyone with morals and etics to be associated with that. They’re better off staying the hell out of Dodge reputation vice.

      • Well Wisher says:

Prince Charles stated his wish while conceding that it will take time, in the meantime, the Sussexes have already laid the foundation of a life separate from the royals.
They hold the advantage, should they ever consider his wishes.
This is a decision that the Sussexes will have to make when that time comes.
Even before the split Prince Harry, during the interview to commemorate their engagement, stated that he will be active in royal life until George is old enough, then he’ll step back.
William will have to get the help from his children.

      • Tessa says:

He needs to want his daughter in law Meghan back too, not just Harry. That has to be made iron clad rule.

    • Lexistential says:

Charles getting Harry and Meghan back to play even a part-time role in his reign depends on:

      1) Courtier leaks to the press: I don’t think the Sussexes will take on any role for Charles without that in check, having an ironclad agreement in place, and making any breaks to that agreement liable for a lawsuit.

      2) Archie and Lili’s titles. If he goes so far as to rewrite the LP and try to take away the automatic HRH’s that are theirs upon QE’s passing, why would they have anything to do with his reign?

      3) Whether the Keens get upgraded to POW titles. Those two would make professional coexistence difficult as it is, and if upgraded, they have more rank to flex with and more obnoxiousness.

      • Tessa says:

Charles would probably let William continue to call the shots. And he needs to publicly apologize to Meghan and Harry and complain about the media slamming them. But I doubt that will happen.

    • Merricat says:

I seriously doubt that Harry and Meghan will ever again work for the monarchy. They might work alongside, because they’re generous that way. But never again under the royal family thumb.

      • Becks1 says:

Never. I think the only reason they offered the part-time option was out of respect for the Queen and for Charles (although the respect for Charles may have dwindled significantly over the past few years…..but the offer was before he yanked their security etc.)

i think at this point, as successful and happy Californians, they’re never going back to the Firm. Depending on how their relationship goes, Harry may be willing to make a few appearances with his father, but that will be because he’s generous like you said, not because he’s serving the monarchy. Those days are done.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

Becks1, if PC was smart he would at least mend the relationship enough so that he and Harry (&Meghan) could meet publically to do something in the US. Yhink what that would do for PCs standing here? PC would have the added benefit of p!ssing off Skull and Bones I love those names), because that’s never going to happen. I’m actually hoping when S&B come to US there are great signs negative to them surrounding them so no matter where the photographers are, at least one sign will show up.

  14. Xoxo says:

The Cambridges and their mouth pieces sure are focused on the Sussexes.

  15. Sunshine says:

I agree with everything you said Kaiser. The Keens got absolutely everything they wanted.
    And continue to do so.
    Baldy freely has his mistresses.
Kant can work or not whenever she wants.
The don’t have anyone to compete with. They’re the only show in town, so the media has no choice but to write what they tell them.
    And Charles is sufficiently neutered.

    • Lady Digby says:

Who does this pampered pair expect to do the heavy lifting for them now they have lost Harry and Meghan? What sort of work ethic are their children going to inherit? Someone cruelly commented that Sean Lennon inherited his mom’s looks and talent.

      • Midnight@theOasis says:

The pampered poodles have no attention on doing heavy lifting. H&M were showing them up and highlighted how lazy and inept the two were. Now that they’ve eliminate H&M they can carry on with their laziness and doing as little work as possible.

      • Sunshine says:

Simple. The heavy lifting will be done by the media. Smoke and mirrors.
As a commentator stated above, royals and royalists are simply pleased that there is no black blood in the family.

    • Sid says:

I wouldn’t count Charles out just yet. He is a crafty bitch. Let’s see what happens once QEII sails on.

      • Tessa says:

Charles let William drive out Harry and Meghan. I am not too sure he will do anything but continue with this enabling of William. Though he might use passive aggression and make the Cambridges wait to be Prince and Princess of Wales.

  16. Harper says:

Sometimes I think Burger King’s anger is rooted in the fact that he felt he had to marry in his late twenties when he wasn’t inclined to do so at that point in his life, but he wilted under pressure from multiple sources and came to his arrangement with Kate. Whereas Harry had no pressure to marry and waited until he was into his thirties and then found the absolute love of his life. Meghan and Harry’s happiness and popularity was too painful for Burger King to witness first-hand and they had to go. As long as the Sussexes thrive, they aren’t welcome in William’s territory.

    • Julia K says:

Yes!! Jealousy and I suspect a secret attraction to Meghan. Did he do a side by side comparison and realize he could have done better?

    • Tangerinetree says:

It does seem he was getting pushed from all sides, and really, why? They should have let him alone for a while. How could he not resent everyone who strong-armed him into marrying before he was ready even though he loves his children? He must always wonder what his life would be like if his family/the firm/the midds had respected his boundaries.

      • Babz says:

Shades of Charles being pressured to marry Diana because she was suitable and he needed heirs. I think he would have gone on quite happily single for several more years, having Camilla as his mistress, if Phillip hadn’t finally laid down the law to either break up with Diana or marry her. We all know how that turned out. Pressuring William to marry before he was ready was straight out of the same playbook, and here we are…

      • ArtHistorian says:

I remember the Waity years – and in the last year before their engagement William was starting to get criticism in the press. I saw more than one article calling him a cad for stringing Kate on for near a decade, saying that even if he dumped her he would look bad. Courtesy, no doubt, of the Middletons. So he got public pressure via the press and most likely private pressure from Kate and her family. I actually think the public criticism would have irked William – something that has been said about him often is that he is very sensitive about his public image (even as a teenager). So him being shamed in the media for stringing Kate along would very likely have given him incentive to pop the question – knowing he would look bad if he still strung her along or if he dumped her. There were these articles saying that he had been wasting Kate’s time during an important part of her youth, etc. He was made to look bad and it was made clear (to him) that he would look bad if he dumped her.

I was actually surprised by the engagement because it really didn’t seem that he would ever marry her after so many years. It just seemed that he wasn’t interested in marrying yet – and several other European royal men and women were in their 30s when they married. So it didn’t strike me as odd that he wasn’t eager to marry.

      • Harper says:

William needs a good trial by fire in the press–something he is terrified of. But to this day he is manipulating the media to keep from facing any kind of public criticism for anything. His wheeling and dealing–here take my kids, take my sister in law instead of me, is just putting off the inevitable and turning it into a hob-goblin that he won’t stop running from. I can’t help thinking that at some point, in his desperation to avoid bad press, he will do something super stupid that makes everything worse and then he’ll just plain bolt from the monarchy and never look back.

      • Tessa says:

I remember when he broke up with her in 2007 and some in the media were BEGGING for him to take her back. I remember Hello had an editorial about it.

  17. Snuffles says:

“The Cambridges have accepted that Harry won’t come crawling back to them begging for forgiveness whilst leaving his wife and children behind. They see now that he’s got the money and ability to live independently and nothing they have to offer is even remotely appealing.”

    FIXED IT

  18. Scorpion says:

Lmao, Blighty going out sad. We have the Cambridges fixated on the Sussexes. The Birthday Extravaganza involved taking plenty of shots at Meghan whose friends and family have never spoken about Wraith. Meghan’s birthday involved asking other people to donate their time to help someone else.

Then, you have her cheerleaders contacting the Montecito Water Board to make enquiries about her lawns and wondering why the Sussexes are quiet.

    The obsession continues…..

    • Snuffles says:

I’m sure they have a subscription to all the local Montecito and Santa Barbara papers and websites. Probably tried to infiltrate online communities for Montecito in a desperate attempt to find any kind of angle to write about.

    • Lady D says:

“contacting the Montecito Water Board to make enquiries about her lawns” Are you serious, Scorpion?

    • Agreatreckoning says:

The bigger story is how the unrepentant shell of a human named Camilla Tominey went after and name called a twitter commenter that rightly & civilly corrected her. CT supplied two links to try to support/argue her point. They actually refute what she was imp(lying). One of the links was a Guardian story referencing Mendocino not Montecito. She has no Rubicon with her unprofessionalism. I doubt the mysterious “we” from CT’s tweet spoke to the water board or anyone else for that matter. The water board is not sitting around together to take a conference call from the Telegraph. It’s a five member board-3 are working attorneys (I believe). Then some Camilla T. fans tried showing a SB water story from Sept. 2021 as proof of CT’s “truths”. A September story to counteract a story from Montecito less than a month ago that Tominey, intentionally or unintentionally, misread & wrote about.

Mic Wright did include 2 of Camilla’s columns in his 21 worst columns of 2021. He said more could have made the chart.

LOL. Yep, the state of H&M’s lawn is an important thing to cover when there isn’t any other members of the BRF that could be written about.

  19. Midnight@theOasis says:

Now if only the BM and Rota Rats would accept and “ reconciled to the fact that this is broken, and it can’t be put together. Not in the foreseeable future anyway, and that they need to go their way and William and Kate will go their way.” Cause clearly they’re still obsessed as hell with all things Sussex and look for any and every way to talk/write about them in some fashion or another.

  20. Yinyang says:

William get a job. You have too much time on your hands if you’re bashing your sister in law like this. Stop hiding under the skirts of all the women in your life, hiding behind the media. Kate wouldn’t have some such a hard time justifying doing nothing all day if you were actually doing something. Be a man., You are an embarrassment to your country.

    • Tessa says:

The trouble with that is William got work made just for him and missed shifts. He also was credited with the “rescues” and none of the full timers were even mentioned. William needs to get busy with royal work. Kate just enables William. Kate always finds things to do with her time, like playing tennis, going to the spa, planning to be the center of events that are run by other people.

  21. Linney says:

Posters have referenced the Queen’s snubbing of Kate on the steps in December. I just watched the video for the first time. Wow, is it obvious! Kate curtsies to the queen, the queen ignores her, Kate hesitates to see if the queen will acknowledge her. The queen doesn’t and then turns right to Edward and Sophie and starts chatting. Total freeze out!

    • Amy Bee says:

@Linney: I remember at the 2019 Commonwealth Day Service, Kate stepping forward to do an extra curtsey to the Queen after she and the others had bowed/curtseyed to her when she came in the church. It was weird but the stans brushed it off as the Queen not seeing Kate on entering and so she curtseyed again. It was clear from then that she felt overshadowed by and was in competition with Meghan. I believe the Queen has always got on better with Meghan and that upset Kate.

    • Sid says:

Linney, it was just so wild that my jaw dropped. QEII grew up in an era and environment where putting on a polite face in public was non-negotiable. For her to blatantly snub Kate like that was something to behold.

  22. one of the Marys says:

This quote is hilarious to me
“they need to go their way and William and Kate will go their way.”
My Gawd these people are stuck stuck stuck. M&H have gone their way, miles and miles away without a look back. “To go” is present tense, this sentiment is two years late yeesh
They’re still feeling the tremors from that departure two years ago.

  23. Red Weather Tiger says:

Do they want a cookie for acknowledging reality? Come on. Are we supposed to give THEM credit for accepting a situation they caused as if they are martyrs? These are terrible, terrible people.

  24. Amy Bee says:

I think William and Kate are fine with the relationship being broken. They don’t have to share the spotlight with or be overshadowed by Harry and Meghan anymore. The problem is that the royal rota wants Harry and Meghan to return to the fold because William and Kate are so dull and don’t pay the bills. This morning Richard Eden tweeted about not hearing from Harry and Meghan in so long. He better get used to that and it’s clear that, despite their protests about being tired of them, they are hungry for any info on the Sussexes.

    • Over it says:

I wonder if these royal rodent clowns remember that according to them Harry and Meghan are irrelevant and will fade away with the wind. Didn’t Richard Eden just recently put a bulls eye on Harry and Meghan back? Surely no Sussex news is a good way to keep the royals safe . They should have thought about what attacking Harry and Meghan would have done to their bank accounts. But when you are too stupid to plan ahead then you end up in debt for life. So good luck to all of them. They have the English white rose and her thorn so I suggest they buckle up and enjoy a life of dull and dumb and dead in the water.

    • Lowrider says:

It’s what I have always said, the institution does not need Harry but the media does. Some of the rats said he was their new Diana. Clown Tominey writing about lawn care and Eden wondering what the Sussex’s are up too says a lot. It’s dry over on salty island. Parched!

  25. Eurydice says:

Both sides have been reconciled to the split, ever since the split happened. W&K’s only goal is to become King and Queen with the least amount of effort – that means cutting out anyone who might seem “higher” than they are and playing “immovable object” at every attempt to make them do some work. The real story will be how the relationship between Charles and William works out.

  26. ecsMom says:

Narcissists do not ever accept that their victims escape. EVER. So this could be Trump-like sour grapes to save face that he is not weak and it doesn’t bother him when it does.

He only got half of what he wanted. Meghan is gone, but Harry went with her. He can’t steal his charities money or co-opt his light and popularity or use him to distract from his indiscretions. I think he is still very mad and will spend the rest of his days trying to outshine Harry as well as make him pay for leaving him. His personality just won’t let him.

    • Eurydice says:

Actually, I think part of being “reconciled” is that Will is glad Harry is gone. Harry would always outshine him.

  27. notasugarhere says:

@Kaiser, I think W&K did initially plan to have them in the fold – as the money makers and perpetual scapegoats. As Charles used Andrew, as Diana used Fergie.

The early attempt to steal the Hubb funds was just one example. But Harry and Meghan demanded the rights to those funds. It was leaked the Hubb funds had to be ‘ringbarked’ and protected from the existing Foundation. Talk of their own separate foundation happened around that same time, within a month of the Together Cookbook’s release. Plenty of shady, illegal happenings with money driven by W&K that will never be investigated.

If only Harry and Meghan had agreed to belittle themselves, take all the abuse, raise all the funds, and do all the work? W&K would have been happy to keep them around.

    • Tessa says:

Will and Kate wanted IMO Harry to return to his “family” and abandon his wife and children. Their attitude was that “they” knew best and Harry should be their third wheel. That’s the worst part of all this. And I was astonished at how William was part of the negotiations. It should have been the Queen and the Prince of Wales. William had his own agenda and was allowed to call the shots.

  28. Deedee says:

“The Cambridges are reconciled to their broken relationship.” There. Fixed it for you.

  29. Over it says:

God doesn’t like ugly and one day Kate and William and Carole the queen of tacky will get what’s coming to them . Meghan was pregnant and considered suicide, they did that to her. God won’t forget.

  30. jferber says:

Doesn’t Kate get the message that in the sociopathic family she married into, any family member can be “sacrificed” for the perceived good/convenience of another? That means she and all three of her children can be crushed like fleas by William. She will look into his eyes and instead of the familiar and lovable amused contempt, superiority and boredom, she will see– absolutely nothing. That is the scary part with these people. They’re like the Mafia in that way.

  31. Jay says:

I mean, good for them? Normally, that’s what you should do when somebody quits you, leaves the country, and breaks off communication with you, describing your relationship as “space”.

But just as a pointer, Cambridges, when you constantly bring up how “totally fine” and “over it” you are, years later, it starts to look a bit odd. A friendly tip from me to you!

  32. Kelly Sunshine says:

I think deep down (or not-so-deep-down), William is jealous of Harry and his newfound (and well deserved freedom). Once William and Kate started having kids, it kept knocking Harry lower down the totem pole, and I think made it easier for Harry to have a way out of The Firm.

As a younger person, I used to think what an amazing life princes and princesses must have, but now as an adult, I absolutely couldn’t imagine having to live in a fishbowl, with your every move scrutinized and judged. If I were Harry, I would’ve headed for the hills as soon as I was able to as well. (and this is not a post sympathizing with William. He and Kate should’ve just wished Harry and Meghan well, and let them go live their lives)

    • SueBarbri says:

Exactly. I think Will and Kate definitely envy Harry and Meghan’s freedom and privacy, but the Cambs will eventually be in charge of the entire royal machine, so there’s no reason for them to try to get out. On the other hand, if they’d stayed, H&M would have been at the mercy of Will and Kate and whatever they decide to plant in the press for the rest of their lives. That’s good enough reason to leave, even if the four of them had been on excellent terms.

The royal family has no use for spares. I’m glad Harry recognized his predicament and got out while he could.

  33. Over it says:

Broken relationship with Harry as if Meghan doesn’t exist. F Kate and William. Racist c-u- next Tuesday

  34. Surly Gale says:

Seems Britain is broken in more ways than one… does that he has ‘accepted’ the broken relationship with his brother mean he is accepting of all the other ways Britain is broken? Hungry children, empty shelves, etc etc etc ….
    Wow…just wow….

  35. Tessa says:

William was busy ruining the relationship with his brother for years. Scapegoating him and all that. It’s weird how Will and Kate take this stand when THEY caused the problems.

  36. Patricia says:

Once QE 11 passes, this monarchy is over. The Country is invested in her,but not those 4.

  37. Linney says:

I had two lifelong friends who had a falling out (fault on both sides)) The first friend was very upset, apologized to no avail, was very hurt, then moved on. The second friend never apologized, never sought reconciliation, but could not stop talking about the first friend. “She’s awful. She betrayed me. What a terrible person. Have you seen her? Did you talk about me?” This went on for YEARS. Finally, I told her, “if Friend One is such a terrible person, then you should be glad she is out of your life. Now shut up and move on.” This is what I feel about the Cambridge’s attitude. If Harry and Meghan are that despicable, then they should think: “Good riddance. Now let’s move on.” Instead, they seem obsessed and keep bringing Harry and Meghan into people’s consciousness (if Harry and Meghan are not there already!) by constantly mentioning them in their PR crap. Perhaps it’s because the Duke and Duchess of Fake literally have nothing else to talk about and they know full well Harry and Meghan put them in the shade when the latter were working royals. Between being unable to point to real accomplishments and jealousy, I wonder if William and Kate will ever stop obsessing.

  38. Cottage Cat says:

William looks pale and ill in that photograph. What on earth do the Middletons have on him?

  39. Cottage Cat says:

It has to be remembered that William and Harry were thrown into the situation they found themselves in, whether they liked it or not. They learned that ruthless social climbers would use and manipulate them. Enter the Middleton family….
