Royal reporters: how dare the Sussexes not tell us if they’re coming to the Jubbly

The Struggle Jubbly is a little more than a month away, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have still not said whether they’re coming for any part of it. Keep in mind, when Prince Harry and Meghan visited Windsor on April 14th, Buckingham Palace let it be known that the Queen did personally request the Sussexes’ presence at the Jubbly. That kicked off another round of speculation – mostly fueled by Clarence House and Kensington Palace – about what Harry and Meghan would be “allowed” to do, as in they would be allowed on the balcony, maybe, and they would be allowed at a horserace or something. While the Queen’s request didn’t seem conditional at all, for CH and KP, all they want is to control Harry and Meghan and where they go and what they’re allowed to do. In any case, Harry and Meghan still haven’t confirmed anything either way, which is hilarious enough, but the royal commentators are BIG MAD about it, omg.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should not come to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations to stop the endless speculation around the event, a royal expert has claimed. Richard Eden, diary editor at the Daily Mail, says that they should just ‘stay away’.

‘I really get the impression that Harry and Meghan are loving all the speculation about whether they’ll come for the Jubilee or not. What should be the wonderful celebrations of the Queen’s amazing long reign, instead it’s sort of become this saga or will-they-won’t-they-come? Who cares? Just stay away, honestly,’ he tells our royal talk show Palace Confidential. ‘They want us to indulge in this speculation as long as possible.’

Rebecca English, the Mail’s royal editor, believes that Harry’s row with the so-called men in grey suits is more dangerous than it might first appear. ‘Prince Harry has built up such a wall of resentment and hatred against these people, I suspect it will always be a stumbling block when it comes to repairing his relationships with family members,’ she says. ‘Because he has such a great distrust and dislike for the people around them.’

Once again these rows hurt the Queen on what should be a year of celebration for Her Majesty, argues the Daily Mail’s Editor at Large, Richard Kay.

‘I think it’s tragic for her. The last thing she wants are these ongoing, bitter rows with her own grandchildren and the family,’ he tells the programme. ‘They had so much trouble in the 1990s which they had hoped they had put behind them, but this is somehow even worse and it must be enormously difficult for her and quite despairing.’

[From The Mail+]

“I really get the impression that Harry and Meghan are loving all the speculation about whether they’ll come for the Jubilee or not…” I doubt they care, but I am loving all of the meltdowns from Eden, English and Kay about how they don’t have any f–king access to Meghan and Harry. That’s all this is – they don’t have sources in Camp Sussex, they don’t have information, they’re terrified of making something up and getting sued by the Sussexes and it’s all so funny. If the complaint is “why is everyone so obsessed with whether Harry and Meghan come to the jubbly,” surely the answer is to actually ignore them and take their names out of your g–damn mouths?

These stories continue to show us who is really relevant. I applaud the Sussexes for living well and making the others sweat the details.

    • Maggie says:

Of course they want them to come…. So Tampon or rageKing can say “no” you can’t be there or the optics of them shoved so far in the back behind PedoAndrew….they want the public shaming and snubbing to happen…

    • whatWHAT? says:

quite amusing, yes. they’re falling over themselves to bash the Sussex family and saying they should just stay in the US while at the same time making it SO DAMN OBVIOUS that they’re struggling because they want a story and have no access to get one.

and DAMN, look at the way Harry is looking at Meghan in that pic. I’m sure it’s just one moment in time but he’s looking at her like she’s the most delicious thing he’s ever seen. lucky lady!

      • BothSidesNow says:

They are such a beautiful couple!! So much love, support and unparalleled hotness between the two!

As for the BM, you have to laugh at the constant drama that they carry out each day!!! They can’t handle not knowing and it’s driving them ALL crazy to the point of needing hospitalization!! My, my, the crazy has certainly left the building and traveled to two other towns over!!

      • Christine says:

        I mean….yes!

No one should ever marry anyone that doesn’t look at them like Harry looks at Meghan.

And vice versa, she has heart eyes, all of the time.

      • Beverley says:

Harry looks at Meghan as though she’s a snack, a four course meal, a tasty dessert and the sun that rises and sets upon his (and his alone) day.

Their genuine head-over-heels love for each other has the BM and the Lambridges green with envy and seething with bitter rage. The RR have no access so they burn with the frustration that the Sussexes are out of their reach.

If H&M come to the Struggle Jubbly, the royal family will be able to publicly snub them. Their Cambridge cousins will say ugly, racist things to Archie and Lily. They aren’t too young to express their belief the Sussexes aren’t suitable due to their Black grandmother and biracial mother. I know from painful firsthand experience that many 7 and 8 year olds have already developed racist opinions yet don’t have the filter to pretend otherwise. The horrid comments from the Cambridge kids, not to mention the Wessexes, Princess Michael of Kent, nasty Camilla, and Uncle Andrew could cause lingering trauma for the innocent Sussex children. Why introduce them to a family who views them as Black nonentities and a huge embarrassment?

I hope they stay away and rob their bigoted family of the sick pleasure of “putting Harry and Meghan’s family in their place.” The Sussexes are enjoying life, adoring their lucky children, and ignoring the media. I wish them a lifetime of continued happiness.

  2. Amy Bee says:

So true. Another commentator, Richard Fitzwilliam complains on Twitter all the time that Harry and Meghan are so unpredictable which really means he doesn’t like not knowing what the Sussexes are doing or working on. When they were part of the Royal Family there was always someone who would leak information about them and now they’ve absolutely no access. If Harry and Meghan had told BP that they were going or not, it would have been leaked to the press already.

    • Charm says:

      @Amy Bee
I hv a sinking feeling that you are more right than we all believe, re TQ being banished on her birthday by the grey suits to show them all who is in charge.

No one is more acutely aware of the grey suits’ power (and danger) than H and it is clear he believes in the adage that sunshine is the best disinfectant so the best way he could pushbk against their tyranny behind the scenes is to shed a light on them and give a hint of what might be going on.

No one can disabuse me of this belief because the change in how betty is being dressed (no more clothes hanging off her to show the extent of her decline) was obviously evident the very next time we saw her after H & M’s visit.

H knows the bkstage (as he referred to it) machinations of the palace keepers and he knows the “full on ownership” which he said from his own mouth that the RotaRats believe they have over the royals and he remains compassionate towards his left-behind relatives because he knows they are “trapped.”

    • The Recluse says:

I don’t blame them at all for treating their interactions with those vindictive little grey men with all the careful strategy of a poker game. They are a danger to their security.

  3. JMoney says:

The BM was made a fool with the unexpected visit of the Sussexes to TQ and they couldn’t switch the narrative fast enough. I can’t help but feel as a result of that surprise visit TQ was banished as a form of punishment on her birthday basically letting her know who was in charge which is the men in grey suits and the right wing BM.

This whole “they better not come to the Jubilee” makes me wonder if this is not just the BM but the firm telling The Sussexes they should not come. Ultimately its their choice if they decide to but I do think another “surprise visit” the way it happened last time will not be allowed to ever happen again.

    • ILady D says:

Think it has anything to do with BP advertising for a new head of security? The old head was fired when news of Harry and Meghan’s visit got out.

      • Surly Gale says:

WOW!!! I hadn’t heard anything about this @ILadyD…is this true? The head of security sacked because he didn’t leak to the RR about H&M’s visit? Do the RRs really have that much power? I cannot find a source.

Also, thinking ‘they’ moved her to Sandringham…so she would be alone, as ‘punishment’?
Is this kind of thing not considered elder abuse in the UK?
These ‘men in gray’ need to be outed….

      • Lady D says:

I saw the story about the queen advertising for a new head of security about 7 -10 days ago. It was in the DF shortly after the news about the Sussex royal visit. Reading the comment above mine made me think of the story about needing a new head of security. Someone said a few days ago that the head would have to have known about Harry and Meghan’s visit, there was no way they could get into the palace without his cooperation.

    • Gabby says:

I agree that the courtiers and Angela Kelly decided to punish the queen for the secret Sussex visit, and cement their control with the Sandringham birthday. No way the queen just suddenly decided she wanted to go. So no family visited her there. I wonder if they tried and were turned away. I hope Chuckles finds the guts to fire these people once the queen dies.

      • BothSidesNow says:

If this is the case then someone should be protecting her at all costs! She in TQ!! Why is Charles not taking this matter to hand immediately, unless HE had a hand in it?

Harry calling out that he is concerned about those around TQ is evident if this truly happened.

    • Robert Phillips says:

The thing everyone keeps forgetting. Harry & Meaghan aren’t part of the royal family anymore. What I mean is Harry is a Windsor and is Elizabeths grandson. But he is no longer part of the monarchy. Even if they go over there. They won’t be on the balcony or any of the royal events. They will stricly go to see Harry’s grandmother. And of course this will piss off the tabloids even more. Because they won’t get any pictures or stories to write. And I don’t think the men in grey have as much power as they think they do. They have just been allowed to do what they want because the royal family are all lazy and its just easier. But if Elizabeth or Charles actually want something to happen it does.

      • M says:

That’s not entirely true, non working royals have always attended Jubilee events in the past. Even the Queens extended cousins and their kids attend. If the Sussex’s are there, they’ll be seen.

  4. ILady Digby says:

These bottom feeders enjoy the endless speculation about somebody else’s travel plans because they are probably under a SUPEr INJUNCTION not to discuss shush you know who coveting his neighbour’s ass etc., I love them not knowing H and M’s plans because it is proof they have the right team around them!

  5. Jan90067 says:

And the flip: “HOW DARE the Sussexes COME to the Jubbly and UPSTAGE TQ! (and pull attention from the Pedo on the Balcony)” No winning. Hope they stay far away from that mess.

  6. Eurydice says:

Sure, they want access, but the other problem is the BM and royal experts refuse to believe what Harry is saying. He’s already answered the question – there are issues to be addressed first, including security. Until and unless the issues are resolved, the answer is “I don’t know.”

  7. Julia K says:

Whenever anyone says ” who cares” the answer always is ” you do” because you can’t stop talking about it.

  8. Lili says:

i bet the queen asked them to come and they said yes but she isnt telling anyone hence all the speculation. now the fight for control of how they should be handled on the balcony, at the back of the balcony, only for the queen to have them up front and centre like she did with pedro

    • HeatherC says:

Doubtful. She will never treat any family member, not even the heir line, as well as she treats Pedrew. She definitely doesn’t protect any of them as well as she does Pedrew.

  9. Merricat says:

Richard Eden is defying the queen’s wishes but declaring the Sussexes should stay away. I mean, if the queen wishes it, who the hell is Richard Eden to say otherwise?

  10. JFerber says:

Just because the press is saying the queen asked them to come to the Jubbly, doesn’t mean she actually did. They are liars who know nothing. And I love that they blame the Sussexes for MAKING them guess if they will or won’t come. They are not making anyone do anything. The crazy is in these people’s heads because they have no access, as Kaiser has repeatedly pointed out. So if the Sussexes are so insignificant and noxious, stop thinking about them and blaming them for making you think about them! Nuts!

  11. equality says:

The media wasn’t notified of their travel plans to visit, why would they be notified about other plans?

  12. aquarius64 says:

The BM is afraid Bad Dad is going to show up at the Jubbly and drop some inconvenient truth bombs to the world’s press.

  13. Eggbert says:

    I hope H&M don’t go!

  14. Christine says:

“I suspect it will always be a stumbling block when it comes to repairing his relationships with family members,’ she says.”

Hard.Pass. The stumbling block is you horrific humans, both rr and royal family.

    Keep shining, Harry and Meghan.
