Rudy Giuliani had a man arrested for assault for slapping him on the back

Rudy Giuliani believes in bodily autonomy! He does not believe that the state has any right to slap him or put hands on him or force him to give birth. While Rudy was in a grocery store in Staten Island, a man breezed past Rudy and his group. The man slapped Rudy’s back and apparently said “what’s up, scumbag.” Rudy had the guy arrested for second-degree assault. If this is second-degree assault, imagine the criminal charge for a state forcing a woman to carry a pregnancy for nine months.

At first, all we heard was “Rudy Giuliani was slapped in a grocery store” and I was like “YAS!” But after watching videos of cops beating the sh-t out of female protesters all weekend, let me tell you, this incident does not qualify as assault. Yes, Rudy is fragile and old and in general, you shouldn’t slap an old person on the back. But this sh-t still isn’t assault. The dude was “taken into custody” at the scene and this is how Rudy described it:

“All of the sudden I feel a shot on my back, like somebody shot me. I went forward but luckily I didn’t fall down,” he recounted on The Curtis Silwa Show. “Lucky I’m a 78-year-old in pretty good shape because if I wasn’t I’d’ve hit the ground and probably cracked my skull.”

Giuliani added to The New York Times that he had red marks on his back after the incident, saying the site “hurts, but otherwise I’m able to walk and stuff like that. He almost knocked me down,” Giuliani told the newspaper, saying the man told him: “What’s up, scumbag?”

“The one thing he said that was political was ‘you’re going to kill women, you’re going to kill women,’” said Mr. Giuliani, who said he understood the remark to be about the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade on Friday.

[From HuffPo and NYT]

“Like somebody shot me” – GTFO, my god. Giuliani was literally calling for armed insurrection and trying to convince Trump to stage a military coup seventeen months ago. And now he can’t handle a slap on the back?

Once again it makes it so ironic that those Republicans spend their time calling liberals snowflakes….

Right? Like when they were being sent death threats after/during the election whereas people like Michigans Governor Whitmer was to be kidnapped and KILLED due to her restrictions for the coronavirus!! Or when AOC is sent death threats for comments that she makes and she has people actively trying to kill her!!

The Repugnant’s are absolutely p#ssies!! They create ALL of this hatred towards the Democrats but when the tables are turned, they are all screaming about fearing for their lives!!

They should read as to what HC endure treating MAGATS in hospitals, if they are conscious, as they spit, assault and verbally abuse the HC workers to the point of severe depression and a mass exodus due to the atrocities that have committed against them for trying to save these useless people lives!! Or how anyone in the country that comes into contact with these “freedumbs” asshats at their place of work.

The greatest injustice is those that are AAIP who have suffered the greatest due to the past resident in the White House. So many people killed, assaulted and harassed solely due to one man’s pathetic semblance of being a human being that caused these hate crimes that still are being carried out this day.

You guys, maybe they need all those guns because they are otherwise completely weak. Not being able to handle a pat on the back is embarrassing.

Wow what a terrible experience. Maybe he can mansplain to Jodie Sweetin how he was an innocent victim and she was asking for it. He is revolting.

  3. MeganC says:

Giuliani is the very embodiment of a scumbag, but it’s not ok to put hands on people.

On June 4, 2020, 75-year-old Martin Gugino whas shoved to the ground by Buffalo NY police during a George Floyd protest. He was seriously injured, suffering a fractured skill severe enough to have visibly have pooling blood in many photographs published of this incident. He was hospitalized for four weeks for recovery.

In February 2021, charges of assault against two officers involved were dismissed by a grand jury. In April 2022, the same two officers were cleared cleared of any wrongdoing through arbitration and will not face any discipline.

…and all Guliani went through was just a literal slap on the back. Taking bets that the legal results for Guliani’s “assaulter” will not be the same as Mr. Gugino’s.

The lies and exaggerations that this man has been allowed to perpetrate should also be a crime, if he’s going to charge the guy who slapped him.

  9. Mslove says:

Rudy is very lucky it was a pat on the back instead of a slap on the face, which he deserves. And why isn’t Trump in jail? This country is a mess.

“What’s up, scumbag” is the standard greeting of that peculiar species known as the Staten Island male (just ask Pete Davidson). But of course Rudy is a typical Republican who doesn’t respect local cultures when traveling abroad, lol.

    • ApplCart says:

He’s always been a petty one. And will use the legal system to punish anyone while insulating himself from his own crimes.

Ole “Four Seasons Total Landscape Press Conference” Giuliani, class act.

    • Southern Fried says:

Sandra, that will never not be funny as hell. I lol just thinking about it, the Andrea Junker tweet.

That looks like a light pat, not a slap that caused Rudy to move at all or flinch in reaction. The guy shouldn’t have touched creepy Rudy, but he was in no danger.
