JoJo Siwa: My ‘rough experience’ with Candace Cameron doesn’t mean she’s awful

I’m still surprised that this JoJo Siwa-Candace Cameron Bure story has blown up so much this week. To recap, Siwa did a TikTok where she identified Candace as the rudest celebrity she’s ever met. Candace then called her, apologized and they talked through it, at least according to Candace, who made her own social media video about the call. In her video, Candace pretended to be the martyr and acted like Siwa’s words hurt her (Candace) too. The basis for the whole “rude” incident happened when Siwa was just a kid, and she asked Candace for a photo and Candace said “not now” and never took a photo with her. Anyway, JoJo added some details when she spoke about it in a video apparently available only to Page Six:

JoJo Siwa detailed her “rough experience” with Candace Cameron Bure after calling the “Full House” alum the “rudest celebrity” she’s met in a viral TikTok video.

“You know, I had a rough experience when I was little,” Siwa, 19, said Tuesday in a video obtained by Page Six exclusively. “I was 11, and I was a big, big fan, and I wanted to take a picture with her, and it wasn’t a good time for her.”

But the YouTuber made sure to note that even though the interaction was not great, it was not a reflection of Cameron Bure’s character.

“I will say because I had a bad experience, that doesn’t mean that she is an awful human,” Siwa said. “I think it just was an inconvenient time for her, and little 11-year-old me was just so pumped up and so excited, but that doesn’t mean she’s the worst human ever.”

The former “Dance Moms” star added, “It’s just, you know, it was a rough experience for me.”

Yeah, again – Siwa has every right to feel this way about an incident from her childhood. It obviously still bothers her. Meanwhile, Candace had every right to call her and personally apologize, although I think Candace was a bit off-side to post a video about the call and attempt to revise the narrative. And Candace was really off-side to act like she’s the victim here. Siwa likely does understand now how chaotic a red carpet can be and she can rationalize that moment as a young adult, but it still hurts.

no, there are plenty of other reasons that’s she awful.

All of this is Candace’s fault. Jojo was a little girl and Candy (as she calls herself) was rude to her. THAT is what started this. She was at event with a bunch of people and she should have been ready to be respectful to others there. She wasn’t and now we are here. Jojo didn’t do anything wrong. And I bet that horrible woman had the tone of “how dare you” mixed with this “apology.”

Candy better be grateful that Jojo is giving her all this press. Good or bad folks are taking about her when they normally don’t

Candace is spinning the narrative to make herself look like the victim in this. And if you look at the comments from her video it’s working.
Jojo was a literal kid and Candy hurt her feelings. Candace should have just apologized privately and left it at that. Maybe made a statement about how she was wrong, takes responsibility for how she made a kid feel, and said sorry.

Poor JoJo. Candace is a bad person for so many other reasons. And her 5 minute video about this is and all that stuff about life lessons and posting things was absolutely shady.

Like chill out, lady. There are worse things than being called rude. She has not the victim and I doubt her Q score changed even a point. Lordy.

It was all shade. She was trying to make Jojo look like that bad guy in this situation. All these “celebrities” took to Candace’s comments to say how great and kind she is.
      It’s pathetic.

This would have been forgotten about if Crazy Eyes Candace kept her trap shut.

I’m now wondering if Candace is a narcissist for acting like “how could I be the one in wrong?” Jesus, he knows her. And he knows she’s right.

I saw Candace at a Quik Trip in Kansas City about a decade ago, I passed her and knew I knew her ( thinking we were acquainted ) then it clicked and I quickly moved on but right before she gave me a look so thoroughly bitchy I was startled.
Between that and her Christian BS that she’s always fronting, not a fan…..

JoJo is so sweet and cute. And Candace is a f-cking nightmare. Always and forever.

Get over it, Jojo. I’m not a Candace fan, but Candace already apologized for a little incident that Jojo herself told Candace wasn’t a big deal.
