British ‘mental health charity’ woman: Duchess Meghan is ‘playing the victim’

The Duchess of Sussex was racially, emotionally and financially abused when she lived in the UK. Prince Harry was trying to help her and protect her, but his family and the British media were actively trying to harm her and/or drive her out of the country. They did nothing – worst than nothing – when they knew she was suicidal. Meghan only began to talk publicly about her suicidal ideation in March 2021, in the Oprah interview. She also touched on it in the Netflix docuseries, although one of my biggest takeaways from the series was that Meghan perfectly understood the extreme danger and threat to her life overall. No one with any heart, compassion or background in psychology would send the message to Meghan that she’s somehow wrong to… speak about what happened to her, what she was going through and how she considered taking her own life. Enter Marjorie Wallace, the founder of a “mental health charity” in the UK.

Charity founder and investigative journalist Marjorie Wallace has revealed she doesn’t like ‘victimhood’ when asked about Meghan Markle saying she had suicidal thoughts. The 80-year-old, who founded mental health charity SANE in 1986, said while she doesn’t like to ‘condemn’ anyone, she doesn’t ‘respect people who take victimhood on as a career’.

Ms Wallace, who made her name with her reporting on the thalidomide scandal, remarked that people have to ‘find ways of living with whatever disability or disadvantage you have’. A close confident of the Earl of Snowden for more than 40 years, the veteran journalist said everyone ‘whether they’re privileged or they’re poor’ has troubles in their lives.

She made the remarks on Rachel Johnson’s Difficult Women podcast. The topic of conversation turned to Meghan Markle and her decision to discuss in her Netflix documentary with Prince Harry that she developed suicidal thoughts as a working member of the Royal Family.

When asked by Johnson about whether she thought it was wise to reveal this, Ms Wallace said: ‘I don’t like to condemn anyone. I’ll tell you what I don’t really like, and this is nothing to do with the Netflix series, is that I don’t like victimhood and I’ve never played it myself in my life. Yes you can have terrible times, and I’ve had terrible terrible times with my children, with my life, with my divorce – all kinds of terrible things. But I don’t really think playing the victim card helps, whatever you’re a victim of, and I don’t really respect people who take victimhood on as a career. That’s not my stoic philosophy, I think you’ve got to find ways of living with whatever disability or disadvantage you have. Everyone has it whether they’re privileged or they’re poor.’

[From The Daily Mail]

Meghan: I was being abused by my husband’s family and by the national media and I contemplated suicide. I went to many people behind-the-scenes and asked for help, I wanted to check into a facility for in-patient treatment, that’s how bad it was, and they wouldn’t help me.

Lady Marjorie Hootentooter: How dare you speak about this, don’t you know you’re supposed to bottle up your emotions and trauma and never speak about them, that’s what I teach everyone at my mental health charity!!

I mean… you truly cannot make this sh-t up. This horrid woman has close ties to King Charles and Queen Camilla too. So not only do we have Camilla’s “allies” saying that Harry has (in essence) had too much therapy, we also have the founder of a mental health charity – and a close friend of the Windsors – speaking publicly about how a Black woman should have just sucked it up and been stoic when she was being harassed, smeared and threatened on an hourly basis for years.

British and Mental Health Organization are oxymorons.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Unfortunately, studying the human mind and behaviors doesn’t guarantee that a person recognizes the need to remain vigilant about how the biases they’ve been exposed to shape their judgment and treatment of others. If even they aren’t immune, people who aren’t professionals need to be especially careful. There are even doctors and nurses who aren’t good people. But all some misohynists will take away from this lady’s comments is, “See! A mental health professional- a Wise Elder Woman- shares my dismissive reaction to the suicidal ideation of one of the women I dislike! She sees her as playing the victim too!”
Very irresponsible, and a continuation of the gaslighting Meghan has experienced.

      • BeanieBean says:

From what I read here & from her wiki page, she’s not a mental health professional but rather a former journalist. Her husband is/was a psychiatrist; which, using the logic of Cecil in Welcome to Nightvale, practically makes her a psychiatrist too! She created the SANE charity in the wake of a series of articles she wrote on severe mental health issues such as schizophrenia (not sure that’s a term still in use).
From the SANE website, a quote from Marjorie: “We believe no-one affected by mental illness should be alone when they face crisis, distress or despair.” Huh. I guess that’s for everyone but a despairing African-American duchess?

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

That she called her organization “SANE” says a lot about her.

  2. Pinkosaurus says:

The world is full of privileged people who insist everyone else pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I doubt she is running a legitimate and productive charity, but we know the noxious British media do not care about credibility. Can’t help but notice that they only said she founded it 40 years ago but not that it ever did anything.

    • Josephine says:

Rich white woman comes undone when her rich white friends drive a woman of color to contemplate suicide. Honestly, white brits could not look worse right now just airing out all of their privilege and racism. Abolish the monarchy, they are the leaders of this insanity.

    • BeanieBean says:

Not for nothing, but her charity’s first patron was the Prince of Wales, Charles.

    • AlpineWitch says:

I live in England and needed a MH charity when I felt suicidal in 2016, I never heard this one.

Must be a mental health charity for aristos….

      • Mrs Which says:

Sending peace and love to you. Please know that so many of us are blessed to have you in this world. It just breaks my heart to have these people use HATE in the guise of “help”. Her charity is a joke.
Also putting out my tuppence that the treatment of Meghan because she’s black is just hate. Let’s call it a spade
Love is love is love ….

      • SomeChick says:

glad you are here with us, AlpineWitch!

  3. equality says:

Everyone doesn’t have a powerful family and the media conspiring to print lies about them. All of that was public. Where is her condemnation of the media and the RF? I feel for anyone seeking mental health help in the UK.

    • Isabella says:

My family is dysfunctional but we would never freeze out somebody at a funeral. Those photos are painful. I hope she skips the Coronation.

      • Seraphina says:

same here. Typically, a funeral brings people together due to facing their own mortality and that life is short. This family just stays in their vile hateful ways.

  4. BlueSky says:

I mean Meghan clearly didn’t understand that talking about your mental health struggles and being emotionally abused is only reserved for white women. 🙄

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Right! As Wallace is speaking with BoJo’s sister of the famous ‘exotic DNA’ and then goes on to describe Doria as ‘a dreadlocked African-American lady from the wrong side of the tracks’ quotes.

“I don’t like victimhood and I’ve NEVER played it myself in my life.” from 2005

      https://www.theguardian.com/society/2005/mar/16/mentalhealth.guardiansocietysupplement

‘feeling she says, “betrayed, shocked” and “shafted”.’

Wallace was recruited to speak out against Meghan.

    • HamsterJam says:

Exactly, and that white woman just mentioned a bunch of her struggles while humble-bragging that she never mentions them, so that makes her a much better person than Meghan.

  5. C says:

Yeah, and this is why I don’t think Kate’s “therapy isn’t for everyone” headlines were innocuous. Now, that wasn’t what she was saying literally, but she knew exactly what headlines would be written. And this is just to back it up. What truly awful people.

    • SomeChick says:

hey, at least Khatie hit her talking point.

my takeaway from this is that if the reporter made her reputation on thalidomide she must be as old as the hills. who cares about her dusty, out of touch opinions? it’s easy to say you “support mental health.” who wouldn’t? clearly she knows nothing about it.

  6. Brassy Rebel says:

At least some of these royal adjacent charities are not legit, and this proves it. No reputable mental health expert would ever suggest a person with suicidal ideation should keep quiet. I’ve said this before, but mental health charities affiliated with the royals should sever all ties. If this doesn’t do it, I don’t know what would. Being buddies with people like Snowden is not a qualification to give mental health advice. It may be the opposite.

    • SussexWatcher says:

What stuck out for me is that the blurb above says she’s a journalist! So I wonder if she even has any mental health training whatsoever. But regardless, as the head of her MH charity, she’s showing her true colors – another sycophantic boot licker of Chuck and Camzilla.

As someone said below, it’s shocking that no (few?) mental health organizations in the UK have spoken up on behalf of Meghan or Harry. And that the organizations continue to partner with anyone in the royal family – the top 4 especially. C&C and Cain and Unable are gaslighting bullies and abusers and it’s really shameful that MH orgs would continue to work with them on any level.

  7. Amie says:

That was one of the most vile comments I’ve read from the UK and that’s saying something. But it makes me think that most of those other mental health charities over in the UK probably thinks along those lines which would explain why they never spoke out about the horrendous amount of abuse heaped on MM or when she spoke about her mental health in the Oprah interview or at any other time. It’s really disgusting.

    • ThatsNotOkay says:

They don’t want POC getting it in their heads that whites are a massive contributor to their mental health struggles. BECAUSE THEY ARE. Casual, unconscious racism raises stress levels in POC and increases incidences of disease. It’s called epigenetics. Genes expression or depression is impacted and POC end up dying earlier because of white ppl’s bull*shit. But crones like this old bag don’t want you to know, because the onus would be on her to change, and she’s very comfortable on her whites only perch, thank you very much. She’s a #WhitesMentalHealthMatters type POS.

  8. Andy Dufresne says:

By talking like this, won’t these charitable organizations lose their credibility?

    🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

But yes, ok, continue to show your true colours.

  9. Leslie says:

Wow. That’s a great mental health message.

  10. Nerd says:

We know with all certainty that Meghan was abused prior to entering the royal family up until today so for a woman who is supposed to be an advocate for mental health care and awareness, this woman is not only being a lousy representation of what that charity is supposed to stand for, she in contributing to the abuse of Meghan is a lousy representation of how too many in the UK look at mental health as a whole. Of course not everyone in the UK is a poor representation but when you add this woman, Camilla, William, Kate and the others who are directly linked to such charities it is very alarming. Abusers working with these charities makes me concerned about all of the victims who aren’t getting adequate care and support and those who have these horrible people to turn to when they do have the courage to find care and support.

  11. Alexandria says:

Can someone check on the water and beef the Brits are consuming.

  12. girl_ninja says:

Disgusting and dangerous. This should disqualify her from doing any sort of mental health work.

    • Cessily says:

My thoughts exactly.. since the RF seems to think this behavior is ok and these people never seem to loose employment I hope her the donors are wise enough to stop funding her charity.

  13. Jais says:

So basically who’s gonna speak up if they’re being shamed as using the victim card?

  14. Izzy says:

They are getting dragged SO HARD right now on the blue bird app. My schaden is so freuded…

  15. JMoney says:

This founder is saying these things bc their words are published on tabloids bc she’s friends with the royals but also she doesn’t want her charity to be black balled and investigated. The RF are calling in all their allies to continue their smear of “death by a thousand small cuts”. At this point the Sussexes should never step foot in the UK for safety reasons (I’m serious). Law enforcement and no one is on their side. They will continue to smear them in perpetuity.

  16. Snuffles says:

It continues to boggle the mind at how many people will sacrifice their reputations, integrity and damage their careers in service of The Crown.

The hypocrisy is ASTOUNDING. The gall they have to claim they support mental health while simultaneously denigrating it.

    • Lorelei says:

@Snuffles, MTE. How is it worth it to them? In the end, what do they get out of it? I’ll never understand, so I need to just stop trying to.

      • Deering24 says:

The ironic thing is that the majority of these loyalists 1) are ultimately all disposable; 2) never realize that until it’s too late.

  17. Emmlo says:

This is the entire posh Brit ethos and it gets people killed. “Just get on with it” is the same shit they told Diana when she was bulimic, depressed and suicidal. It’s 2023 Marjorie, we’re not doing that bullshit to people anymore.

Friend of Earl Snowden says a lot too, as in Princess Margaret’s ex husband who used to leave notes around their home detailing all the ways he hated her.

ALSO Meghan and Harry are not being victims, they are shining a light on an issue that affects millions of people – because they know how the Marjories of the world tell us to suck it up. They wouldn’t have to share their struggles if you lot weren’t so horrid and devoid of empathy in the first place.

  18. Becks1 says:

“playing the victim card” is such a gross statement. It’s like “playing the race card.” Calling something out for being racist is not “playing” anything. Describing your suicidal thoughts is not “playing” anything. No one wants to be suicidal, no one wants to be the victim of abuse, no one wants to be the punching bag for an entire country’s press system and the family of the head of state.

This woman needs to eff off. This is a very gross and very damaging thing to say.

    • Otaku fairy says:

It really is disgusting in this type of situation. Certain groups of women always think they’re winning something against more modern women and bettering society by accusing them of playing the victim. It’s actually very insecure and callous behavior. Women do this dismissive, subservient shit to other women to garner approval for how uncomplaining and calm they are, and to distance themselves from the current ‘snowflake’ punching bag. Weak, heartless patriarchal golden child behavior.

  19. Emmlo says:

Lady Dumplewhim: “Suicidal? Good heavens. Have you tried drinking a tumbler of gin at 2pm about it?”

  20. aquarius64 says:

This woman is definitely carrying water for the BRF; but in doing so the Windsors are telegraphing their fears that Spare has done significant damage to the royal image.

  21. Eurydice says:

She should go back and reread her charity’s own mission statement – there’s a whole section about how those with mental illness should feel their experiences are valued as a source of learning and that their voices will bring public awareness to mental health issues.

  22. C-Shell says:

It’s so interesting that the worst Windsor apologists are all septuagenarians and octogenarians who parrot the septuagenarian king’s and queen consort’s talking points. This has, justifiably, gotten HUGE blowback because it flies in the face of recognized mental health guidance. I’m starting to think this really is a very big problem in the UK — even though their words are hollow when they move their lips about removing the stigma of talking about mental health, even Bulliam and KKKHate have gone through the motions. Although, K’s recent comments about talk therapy not working for everyone diminishes whatever tatters are left of her itsy bitsy cred on this topic.

Suicidal thoughts are in a category all their own. Unaddressed, they can end a life and there are no second chances. Saying that talking about them breaks some kind of stoic code is life threatening.

  23. Miranda says:

WTF charity does she represent? GasWHITEing, Ltd.?

  24. anna says:

she has spoken TWICE about how she was feeling in the past 3 years – oprah and then the netflix thing. truly that whole country can just go away

  25. Laura D says:

Why do people put themselves out for this family? Morgan and Clarkson have paid dearly for peddling lies and smears. Dame Judi has tarnished her national treasure image and now a founding member of a mental health charity is dismissing someone’s cry for help. I don’t have a problem with royalists but, bliddy L they do seem to have a problem with speaking the truth.

    • Lorelei says:

Hugh Bonneville also lost me when I read that he was at that luncheon, too.

    • Emily_C says:

I have a problem with royalists. They believe one family is superior to others. It is a system based on misogyny and classism, and racism (in our modern understanding of it) actually got added *later* but they sure ran with it.

And, more than anything, it’s based on might makes right. Someone’s ancestors were the most violent and ruthless hundreds or thousands of years ago, and now they’re claiming to have been chosen by God to rule.

  26. lanne says:

This makes my heart hurt for British people suffering from mental health issues. Like someone said after Piers Morgan claimed Meghan wasn’t suicidal–Meghan isn’t going to hear your vitriol, but a suicidal person will.

It’s a mess. This type of language is completely anethetical to mental health, and yet no mental health organization dares come out to speak against the royal family. They saw what happened to the woman who was abused by that Hussey hussy–her entire organization was put at risk.

These are dark, dark days for the British, culturally, financially, politically, and now he’s gaslighting over mental health.

Coronation will be majestic though. Gotta remember what’s important.

  27. Chantal says:

Ugh! She sounds like one of those idiots who think people with Major Depression are just a little sad and should just snap out of it! You would think she would be more cognizant of mental health issues and choose her words carefully. Interesting how the RRs always manage to find “professionals” willing to slam Meghan.

Its scary that members of Parliament are willing to speak out against the psychological abuse of Meghan and yet the UK’s mental health organizations refuse to say anything. No one peep from any of them while she lived there – for years! Now this evil clown wants her turn in the spotlight. These people hate Meghan so much, and want to suck up to C-Rex and the other nonroyals so badly that they are willing to destroy their credibility and possibly their careers.

  28. LB says:

This woman is a mouthpiece for Charles & Camilla. Her “research” centre is named after the then PoW and Charles opened it. Her mental health organization is funded by some “interesting” people including the Sultan of Brunei and a Saudi prince. She was one of Lord Snowden’s lovers. So easy for Charles, Camilla, William and Kate to maintain a dignified silence when they have their sycophant army doing their dirty work.

  29. Jessie Quinton says:

As an American who has lived in the UK for a long time and has mental health issues, I can tell you right now that this lady’s POV is not isolated. Mental health care is DIRE and at the bottom of the NHS list (and that’s saying something, considering the current state of the NHS). And if you have kids with mental health issues? Even worst.

It’s not just a royal issue, it is a whole cultural thing here. Meghan was lucky to get out when she did.

    • Kate says:

I would argue that Meghan was demonstrating NOT being a victim when she spoke up to her husband and they got out. Admitting out loud that there is a problem is the first step towards reclaiming your agency. Pretending a problem doesn’t exist and being stoic does not a strong person make.

  30. Rapunzel says:

“That’s not my stoic philosophy, I think you’ve got to find ways of living with whatever disability or disadvantage you have. Everyone has it whether they’re privileged or they’re poor.”

Tell me you’re not a mental health expert without telling me you’re not a mental health expert.

  31. Amy Bee says:

What is playing the victim card? British mental health organisations are terrible.

    • Lizzie says:

I guess this is the fallback position when the harm to Meghan undeniable and un-defendable go on offence is and claim she has been playing the race card and now it’s the victim card.

  32. Denise says:

I feel really really sorry for people in UK who are struggling with mental health and are getting this kinds of messages daily. This is absolutely horrendous and incredibly damaging on so many levels

    • Christine says:

Yeah, me too. This is gutting. Meghan knew fully that she had the means to pay for her own mental healthcare, and she kept moving forward, publicly, with the earnestness that I expect from her now, with the hope that she was sticking up for anyone in a situation that resulted in suicidal ideation, without the means to protect themselves. There is nothing funny about this, the people who need help are reading these headlines every time they walk anywhere, in England.

  33. Eowyn says:

Anyone who would use their platform to speak like this is actively contributing to the intensifying climate of social murder.

  34. Paulkid says:

If she doesn’t like people who play the victim, why is she friends with Charles? Also, the way the press describes Camilla’s efforts to be accepted, one would never think she did anything to earn the disdain. Camilla is a victimizer, but Ms Wallace finds that okay?

  35. Lizzie says:

I’m going to say this ‘charity founder’ knows about as much about mental health as Keen knows about early years. And she didn’t even make a pie chart.
Seriously, the audacity of calling someone voicing suicidal thoughts as seeking attention is too gross for words. IIRC, that was essentially what Charles said when Diana threw herself down the stairs.

  36. DancingCorgi says:

Is it just me or is the name of her charity a bit in your face? Our goal is to make you SANE! Even though the measure of sanity is done with a moveable yardstick and depends heavily on what the culture you come from determines is ‘normal’.

  37. RMS says:

Here is a twist: thalidomide was a terrible drug for pregnant women. But it is an excellent drug for multiple myeloma patients, and is almost always prescribed to keep people in remission (it is HORRIBLY expensive now, almost $800/pill which is taken daily). My point: clearly this ‘expert’ does not have the vision, perspective or nuance to understand more than one side, one vision, one interpretation of ANYTHING. Time wounds all heels…

  38. dina says:

This makes me sick to my stomach, she has zero right being involved in a mental health charity of ANY sort if this is how she feels…WTF? Is the UK ok, damn

  39. MissMarirose says:

The article blurb reprinted here doesn’t say (and I’m not giving the DM revenue clicks), but I wonder who raised the topic of Meghan. It reads like the woman being interviewed did it, not the interviewer. Makes you wonder about each person’s motives, because I doubt that in any ordinary interview on this podcast, the Duchess of Sussex would be brought up.

  40. CC says:

If this gets enough backlash, they can send her out to pasture with the same excuse as with Susan Hussey -“she’s 80 years old! She’s from a different time! You can’t expect her to change now or to keep up with this fast-paced modern world!” (Never mind that she’s established herself as a champion of British mental health field for 40 years or so).

  41. Jennifer says:

I don’t think I’d brag about being close friends with the Earl of Snowden. Wasn’t he an abusive asshole to his wife?

  42. HeyKay says:

Geez. Can you imagine going in for counseling and you draw this witch?
She sounds like Gen. Patton after slapping a soldier.
Proof that their are ass*oles in every profession, she is leading Team Ass*ole.

  43. A different kate says:

This is a serious subject but… Lady Marjorie Hooten Tooter….? The best. And here’s a relative….

    https://youtu.be/80mHu_nRLms

    Marion Coatesworth- Haye of Marblehead!

  44. Well Wisher says:

This person does not have any qualifications to decipher Meghan’s mental struggles, she is offered her opinion which is quickly rubbished.

    • Well Wisher says:

Would I use her charity based on this revelation?

      Absolutely not!!

      • BeanieBean says:

Right? Who’d want to request help from a charity whose founder says essentially ‘suck it up buttercup, we all have problems’?

  45. Jaded says:

White, old, royal adjacent racism. I wonder, beyond the help lines, what else Ms. Wallace did for those suffering mental health crises? Compare SANE to Ngozi Fulani’s “Sistah Space” which was derided and investigated for….financial somethingsomething….AFTER she spoke out about how badly she’d been treated by another white, old, royal adjacent racist. Here was a woman of colour working for other women of colour to give them a safe space from DV and the mental, physical and emotional stress it puts on women. And the white powers that be tried to shut her down. Evidently no financial impropriety was discovered but the general feeling is “you spoke out, we’re going to squash you like a bug”.

    • ArtHistorian says:

Sistah Space being investigated for financial improprieties immediately after the founder criticized the royals felt very much like someone was sending a message to a larger audience.

  46. Emily_C says:

I am usually slow on the “this person should be fired and never allowed to work in this field again” train. After all, most people need to work to live, everyone sticks their foot in their mouth from time to time, and people can change. But this time?

She’s rich. She doesn’t need ANY job. She should not be allowed within 100 feet of a counseling office. This one person being a big deal in British mental health sure explains a lot about the state of it over there. Her attitude will get people killed.

  47. mauve says:

It’s okay to be wrong, I’m not here to drag the person, their reputation, or anything across the world. Of course, being wrong in the mental health realm is more dangerous than your average statement. This person can hopefully learn and grow, but for now, yes, there are archetypes that we all play into at times (this is how I act at Christmas dinner, this is how I act at the grocery store, this is how I can act when I’m aggrieved).

Sure, it’s possible for someone to blindly play into tropes that they don’t even understand (or with specific agendas for sympathy, money, or attention). But Harry and Meghan are LITERALLY thoughtful. They are very thoughtful and calmly discuss things. “Playing the victim” is a more chaotic act than writing a memoir, hosting a documentary, and speaking truths about your own life in measured moments.

I’m surprised a mental health charity can’t suss out the difference.

  48. Marion says:

I used to give to SANE, they’re even in my will.
Thanks to this woman I won’t be helping them anymore and seriously will be contacting solicitor tomorrow to get them removed from my will.
Everything the Royals touch they desecrate. I’ll be letting them know via snail mail why they are now cut out.
How long can Meghan put up with this? Can I ask everyone for affirmative action and publicize what this silly snob has said about M and tell them they won’t be supporting them anymore?

  49. Janice Hill says:

Wow. The British Royal Family is setting support for mental health back decades.

    • Kat says:

The Royal Family are figureheads. They have no influence or sway over anything except extra bank holidays (yay!). I, for one, roll my eyes and have a chuckle when I read about their latest exploits. Over-privileged, ungrateful bellends that they are.

      • Emily_C says:

The myth that they are just figureheads is utterly and completely false. People get arrested when they protest the monarchy. The press is in thrall to them. They don’t have to pay taxes. And they’re the biggest landowners in Britain.

  50. Tanisha Ev says:

I do hope Meghan doesn’t go anywhere near that family. She always looks tense around them.

Also, I hope the BRF know that they aren’t making themselves look good. Maybe to the folks in the UK but outside of that….smh

  51. ChattyCath says:

She happens to be a personal friend of KC3. Fact.

  52. Noor says:

Marjorie Wallace is destroying her own reputation and decades of charity work in the mental health field by saying that Meghan played the victim card.

  53. QuiteContrary says:

This is just so disgusting. I’m rarely at a loss for words but this is just appalling.

  54. Noor says:

I am deeply disappointed that trained professionals have given to the media their diagnosis of Prince Harry Spare without a word of sanction or censure from their professional bodies.

For example Dr Carole Liberman .. “He has gone off the deep end.” Dr Holly Schiff.. “It is absolutely possible he is delusional and speaking lies.”

  55. Slippers4life says:

Marjorie Johnson is NOT a mental health expert. She is not a professional in any mental health field. She is an investigative journalist with money who founded a mental health charity with an offensive name back in 1986. Rich people take note, on behalf of actual mental health professionals everywhere, just because we are grossly underfunded and you’re willing to give us money, it does NOT allow you to exploit people accessing our services foe your own ego. That is financial abuse. Sit down and let the actual professionals make proper statements or take your money and leave! We don’t need anymore idiots with money and a platform spouting their stupidity like they are some kind of authority. Anyone struggling with their mental health feeling triggered by this bs, the expert on any mental illness is the person with the mental illness! You matter, you are worthy of the sacred space you take up in the world. Nobody is being a “victim” by talking about their experiences with mental health. Every credible therapist feels nothing, but honour when you trust us with your stories and we feel such joy and privilege being witness to your journey and your humanity. Anyone who says anything less is a fucking twat! This woman is either a fucking twat; being misquoted to the point of libel or is elderly and being sickly taken advantage of. Anyone who makes someone struggling with their mental health; is a Survivor of abuse; and has trauma feel anything less than courageous can fuck the entire way off!

She was a victim of abuse and she spoke about her experience. That is not playing the victim, that is telling your truth. Abusers try to silence victims so this head of a charity should rethink this stance. Also, I hate that they pretend like Meghan has done nothing but whine since she left. She has a whole podcast about breaking stereotypes and empowerment and the Live to Lead series on Netflix is also inspirational. She doesn’t get on Archetypes and go “And then Kate said…” on a weekly basis so please stop acting as though she is.

I know this has nothing to do with Lady Marjorie Hootentooter, but DAMN–Meghan is gorgeous and regal looking. She is naturally poised and doesn’t have to work at it. Those Windsors and the Royal Rota were really bothered by that–an AMERICAN would never look regal!!

I know there are sick people everywhere but some of the most disturbing crimes and child abuse cases I read about comes from there, they really need to work on prioritizing mental health more instead of being concerned about an ex royal. I would also consider donating to another charity, maybe one that doesn’t victimize those they claim to help, I wouldn’t be surprised if that charity is a front to some type of laundering. Also this ‘superior’ mentality that the Brits keep advertising is really just offputting
