Jennifer Aniston wore a sparkly slipdress to the Paris ‘Murder Mystery 2’ premiere

Here are some photos from the Paris premiere of Murder Mystery 2, the Netflix sequel to the successful Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler movie. True story: I tried to watch the first movie because, honestly, I thought the premise was cute and it seemed like it was “for” me, someone who enjoys murder mysteries. But I only got like ten minutes into it before turning it off. While I know Sandler’s production company spends real money on his movies, it just felt like none of the money went into the script? Still, people liked the first one a lot so Aniston and Sandler made another one.

I can’t find the ID on Aniston’s dress, but it’s aggressively fine. A sparkly nude slipdress and Rachel hair, you know what you’re getting with an Aniston red carpet appearance. Surprised the dress isn’t black, honestly. It makes me mad, because she was wearing this fun, furry shrug in some of the photos, but then she removed it for the cast pics and her full-length pics. It was a much cuter look with the shrug!

I don’t even want to say this, but Adam Sandler looks good with a beard. And Melanie Laurent is in this! Well, girl’s gotta eat.

PS… Aniston swore on live TV this week – she was doing an interview with a British morning show and she said something about “sh-ts and giggles.” Sandler laughing is the best part.

I loved Murder Mystery One. Yeah for two. Better than Glass Onion.

I think having the same haircut for 20+ sounds incredibly boring. I was watching Friends and thought she was so cute with that bob in season 7.

I’d prefer the dress is black or maybe red.

I’ve had the same haircut since 2004. Really 1998 but in 2003 when I was studying abroad I cut it a lot shorter (sort of a heavy layered bob) and dyed it red. That was in Spain though and I could never find anyone here in the US to get that look back exactly how it was.

So since then I have had long hair with layers. Sometimes my hair is above my shoulders slightly, sometimes its longer. But its always basically the same haircut. I did stop highlighting it about 15 years ago though.

I wish I was more interesting but alas. I am not. LOL.

and okay fine. not 1998. 1992. Basically when I grew out my bangs.

      • TwinFalls says:

I’ve had straight hair with a side part since I gave up my 90s straight hair center part. I tried to get the center part back recently, since the kids say a side part is for old people, but my hair knows we are old and won’t go back to a center part. 🤷‍♀️

      • Becks1 says:

@TwinFalls LOL oh I did change that! In about 1995/6 I switched from a center part to a side part. So that was a big change for me.

And now I’m supposed to go back to a center part?? I am playing around with it but am not yet committed to having my hair cut accordingly. A side part looks better on me, at least I think so lol.

I was also thinking that she would look more modern and updated with a new ‘do but I think her hair is her safeplace. The furry arms were so out of place – good thing she ditched them! I’d like to see the dress in a knee length, or, as you said, a different color. That’s just a lot of beige for anyone to pull off.

    • AppleCart says:

I thought she looked so cute in that bob also. I think I had a bob cut for years to chase that look. I was bummed years later to find out. She just did it on a whim and hated it after.

    I love murder mysteries!

  4. Becks1 says:

I enjoyed the first one immensely. It was just a fairly light hearted murder mystery. I did say to my husband – “so this feels like Adam Sandler wanted to go on vacation with his friends and make Netflix pay for it” LOL.

But that’s fine sometimes. I like these kinds of low key murder mystery romps, or a good romantic comedy, etc. These are the movies I feel like watching on a Friday night when I don’t have the mental energy for anything heavier.

    • JanetDR says:

Yes, it was pretty much what you would expect and a perfectly fine!

    • MissMarirose says:

I agree. I enjoyed the first one. Not every movie has to be some big artistic achievement. Actors like Sandler and Aniston just want to make people laugh and that’s fine. Worthy, even, cuz folks need an escape from the daily grind.

    • kirk says:

I enjoyed the pairing of these two. Much better chemistry than some of Aniston’s other rom-com partners.

    • Isa says:

It’s funny you say that because my husbands and I always say that it must be nice to be Adam’s friend bc he makes movies that bring you along to fabulous locations. I don’t even remember the plot of the first movie.

  5. SarahCS says:

The furry arms do make the outfit more interesting but to me it also looks like she has on part of a yeti costume (I’m picturing the one from Monsters Inc.).

  6. Kitten says:

I mean, it’s nice. This is Jen’s style–basic– and I think we’ve all come to accept that she’s not a risk-taker when it comes to fashion. But this is a dress that I’d wear so maybe I’m boring AF too.

  7. HeyKay says:

    I guess I’ll watch this.
Adam Sandler is kind of comfort tv for me.
Uncut Gems was very good. I’ll take some mindless Sandler comedy too.

  8. art maven says:

I’m not her biggest fan, but I enjoyed the first one and will watch the second when I need something light. He hair is the best thing about her.

  9. Teal says:

Her face looks very jacked in the Murder Mystery 2 billboards.

  10. FHMom says:

She and Adam Sandler look great. I will watch Murder Mystery 2. The first one was harmless with a few laughs plus good scenery

  11. KrystinaJ says:

I loved the first one. Mostly because I LOVE Luke Evans, lol.

  12. manda says:

I’m a fan of J’s and I do like this movie, but yes, the script is bad, and YES the first 10-15 minutes are bad. AS’s character is not very likeable, especially at first, although you can see throughout the movie that she laughs off his chauvinism and insecurity, and he is supportive of her pretty much throughout and especially so at the end. I am looking forward to the next one, and if you do like murder mysteries, I would say, maybe try again? Once she meets charles cavendish, it starts to get better, which is right before the 11 minute mark (I have it streaming right now!)

  13. Chaine says:

I can’t stand Adam Sandler so I haven’t watch the first one and won’t watch this one. Her smirk is a weird look, surveying the other pix it looks like maybe she had some recent injectibles that are preventing her from smiling?

  14. Torttu says:

I watched the first movie for the scenery. It was annoying the story was not better.
The “original Rachel hair” is actually the layered feathered helmet bob Aniston had in the early seasons. It’s the only cut that worked in my hair because my hair never grows.

  15. Ameerah M says:

Jen Aniston in a basic dress. Groundbreaking.

    • solidgold says:

      lol

On one hand she seems to have a great life. On the other hand, she is so uninspiring and vacuous. She clearly does not like change or challenges.

  16. Waves says:

I like these two. Happy vibes. The first MM was exactly what the trailers suggested it would be.

Thought Uncut Gems was just too much (that edgy gangster or whatever genre) but Adam was a good actor in it. Julia (was it Fox?) was good in it as the mistress.

  17. Grant says:

I think she looks great. I’ll always really like Jen Aniston, even moreso after finishing The Morning Show on Apple TV. Some of her finest work, IMO.

  18. Flying fish says:

The same old cut is no longer doing her any favors. She is aging and that hair is aging her.

    • Kara says:

She’s aging?! Oh my god, anything but that!!! Women aren’t allowed to age!

She looks amazing. Stop with the bitter Betty routine.

  19. TheVolvesSeidr says:

I don’t know, and I can’t really give any reasons why, but I cannot stand her. I have never watched anything she is in all the way through, and I’ve never seen an episode of friends. I can’t look at her, I hate the sound her voice. I don’t know. She is UGH to me. Shudder.

    • Ann h says:

She always seems to be drunk or on “something” in interviews or late night talk shows. She kept interrupting and was all over the place in the Friends reunion. I get where TheVolves is coming from. She was really great in Friends, but in most of her movies, and The Morning show, she’s running her hands through her hair and flipping it in almost every scene. I’ve only liked two of her movies since Friends. Nobody can shill like she can though. All her instas are ads. lol
