I’m sorry to hear this but not surprised. He’s very open about his struggle with borderline personality. I respect so much that he owns it and seeks help. My impossible father has never been in an LTR (three short and disastrous marriages) and only has two children I know about (different mothers). I have a huge soft spot for Pete, but I also get why women need to protect themselves (and in this case a baby too). Borderline is an extremely toxic personality. I hope Pete gets the help he needs but the child is probably better off not having him as a full time parent.
When I was young, many, many, many moons ago, pre-chihuahua national ad campaign, Taco Bell had a summer during my misspent youth when most of the menu items were .39, .79 and .99 (cents). You could eat like a queen (and have leftovers) AND get a drink for less than one of those chicken Mexican pizzas today. Inflation just boggles my brain. My favorite taco bell meal is now $14 with TNs sky high sales tax. It was less than $10 before the return of the tangerine terror. (I eat local and no longer eat fast food if I have any other choices so don’t @ me). Taco Bell/PepsiCo have been very active in fighting minimum wage increases. I bet the employees aren’t making $9 an hour around here while the executives live the Wolf of Wallstreet dream. End stage capitalism really, truly sucks.
@TN Dem – Even tho I’m pretty sure you didn’t mean to respond to me, just wanna say ITA x 1000!
That’s what I don’t understand. We have been told repeatedly that raising wages will cripple big businesses. Yet look at Bezos, the Walton family, etc. If by “cripple”, they mean that those folks won’t be able to take pleasure trips to outer space or afford to get the biggest yacht, well then sure. But these people have more money than they will ever be able to spend while the people working for them barely get by. It’s a disgusting country that we live in and it shouldn’t be that. But Republicans hoodwinked a sizable part of the population into voting against their own self interests and here we are.
Huufnpuff – this is always how capitalism has worked. It was amped up by Reagan era trickle down and has now peaked, but no generation alive and voting today has lived in any context other than being told screwing workers to build wealth for the limited few is patriotic. We’ve never had real class consciousness in this country, but when foreigner billionaire Rupert Murdoch devised a media strategy to manipulate the truly uneducated into voting against their own best interests, we entered the new era of poor people worshipping billionaires.
Celebs should stop having babies with their flavor of the month and focus on their relationship and compatibility before popping a kid out with someone they have only known 3 months.
She got pregnant really fast. Sounds like she went through a lot of celebs and decided to finally nail down that $$$$$$ for the next 18 yrs (22 if going to college). Between using b/c and condoms (esp together), accidental pregnancy isn’t *that* common.
I can’t tell if your comment is anti abortion or straight up misogynist. If accidental pregnancy wasn’t common, our political climate would be a whole different story. Of course , calling the woman a gold digger is another angle. Never occurred to you that Pete wanted to lock this down and promised her the world if they had a baby together? Life is way more complicated than 4chan logic.
Funny how ‘calculated opportunism’ only gets assigned to women. Plenty of men chase easy sex, domestic support, and ego validation with just as much intention.
I’m fairly sure I read an interview with her when they announced the pregnancy, and she had said something to the effect that due to medical issues her doctors had essentially told her she would not be able to have children. So this was a surprise and a blessing for her.

Your comment is so misogynistic. Pete used to make “jokes” that he would swap Ariana’s birth control pills so he could trap her. This guy is trash.
Especially if the guy is a rehab regular, has had numerous relationships, some with women of suspect, and has a very shaky career. Davidson is not exactly a Hemsworth brother. He ain’t a catch!
Sorry to sound cynical, but I’ve met people who opt for the guaranteed income for 18 years vs. having to work.
Then those people are idiots because children are expensive AND a f*ck of a lot of work.
Sorry to sound cynical, but I’ve met people who opt for guaranteed sex and emotional labor versus having to put in the work.
I feel sorry for Elsie Hewitt. I’m sure she really wanted to stay with the father of her child, but just couldn’t. Who really knows that “work obligations” were really responsible for the break-up? He should have used protection and she should have insisted that he did, imo.
The fact she is choosing to be a single mother must make you realise how AWFUL he is
A lot of folks with BPD will purposely project all the worst things on to you as an excuse / justification for picking a fight or attacking you. Everything you do, even breathing, is construed as a purposeful attack on them.
They make up all kinds of imaginary wrongs you have done against them. It’s not delusion, they do this purposely and know that they are lying, they just have such an urge to attack you and feel justified about it.
Most people know that folks with BPD often do this to their children.
But I don’t think most people realize how young it can start. Many folks with BPD have zero qualms or shame about attacking an infant this way, saying that the infant is wronging them or conspiring against them.
That the infant is deliberately rejecting them, embarrassing them, excluding them, stealing from them, mocking them, or deliberately making them feel bad.
It can get very very scary.
1. Men cause all pregnancies. Period. 2. I used to work in direct care. I can without hesitation say the absolute hardest service recipients to deal with had BPD. I would rather deal with a full blown physical @tt@ck from someone hallucinating during a mental health crisis than deal with that constant head f#$%ery. There is a reason why he lands gorgeous women and they consistently bolt before the relationship has lasted long enough to be considered long term. It is positve that he seems to have self-awareness and has been open about his mental health struggles/getting treatment, but I would not automatically assume the girlfriend was the partner working a pregnancy “oops”. 3. The international stories should register as heartbreaking to Americans. The magat f@sists have set us back generations.
Both of your comments about BPD are on point. So much that I had a little residual trauma just from reading them. Another aspect of BPD is the constant fear of abandonment and thus using manipulative tactics to get people to stay. Pete might have been well intentioned at first in fantasizing about the domestic bliss a baby would bring (as I said above I have a soft spot for him) but I can see it morphing into paranoia about the mother having a stronger bond with the baby/conspiring against him. I suspect Elsie made a decision in the best interest of her and the baby’s mental health.
I remember a scene from that show Super-nanny, years ago – when Jo was explaining to an infant child’s father (pro basketball player) how to care for the baby when she needed a diaper change.
The guy flipped when Jo explained the girl’s bottom needed to be wiped front to back to prevent bacterial infections. He took it personally, acted like this baby was purposely ruining his life … by needing him to wipe her bottom front to back instead of back to front like her older brothers.
Like, any time an adult is assigning blame, bad motives to an infant, thinking the baby is the problem … the adult is the actual problem.
I’m sorry, but I do not accept the good press around this man lol. I think he’s like every other BPD person I’ve known, crashing into people’s lives, love bombing them, and then f*cking it all up within a year when the infatuation wears off and reality sets in. It’s different when they get consistent, in depth help, but even then… What a shame there’s a kid involved this time, for which I hold both of them responsible for bad decision making.
They were together less than a year. Not a great decision by either of them. Hopefully that kid will have stability with her mom and a loving relationship with her father. Pete’s mom seems protective and has made choices previously concerning his mental health so hopefully she might be there to better facilitate things.
Also that page 6 article is such BS. They split because “he was working too much” he was sad to be away but “he needs to make money ”. No he is not stable, peaced out and will probably have a new girlfriend soon.
Borderline has a way of making someone seem charming and wonderful at first. Even without fame or wealth the love bombing can make a man seem sincere and a good catch. Until the curtain is pulled back. From what I see on this thread, a lot of us have been through it with a parent or partner so we see the patterns. Unfortunately it really isn’t a well enough known or talked about mental health issue.
He seems the type of person everyone thinks “they” will be the one to get him to commit. I just hope he is good father to his child.
TN DEMOCRAT, The federal minimum wage is $7.25 and hasn’t been raised in many years. I don’t know about Tennessee, but New York State’s minimum wage is $17 an hour, one of the highest in the nation.
Minimum wage is still $7.25 here. Until the federal minimum wage increases, it will never increase in this dark red hellscape. Most of the citizens have been so head f#cked by maga that they rail against livable wages while being ground into poverty by regressive magat policies and wage stagnation. Most places do technically promise higher wages than the federal minimum, but use every possible dirty tactic (like probationary periods) to avoid paying above the absolute minimum as long as possible. Congrats on having blue leadership! I know you all have problems, but magats make everything they touch turn to 💩. Everyday is some fresh h#!!. Hands to gawd I had a relatively liberal education 30 plus years ago. Now the red hats are banning books I read without issue in hs. I have had to completely stop watching the local news because it was sending me into afib.
